Recently Conery proposed a backward execution algorithm for AND-parallel execution of logic programs, and Ng and Leung extended it. They adopt the same data structure called mark(s) set to store information about failure history during AND-parallel evaluation of clauses. This paper employs theories of spectrality and haunting to read the Gospel of Mark alongside textual and archaeological materials representing the Roman emperor. I argue that the relationships between the figures of Jesus and the emperor are both more subtle and complex than is typically seen by empire-critical scholarship. Seal Rocks is the largest colony of the Australian fur seal, Arctocephalus pusillus doriferus; annual pup production in the late 1960s and early 1970s was estimated to be 210C-2200 by counting and tagging.
