Resumo: Existe uma grande dinâmica nos processos industriais de uma plataforma logística com a finalidade de atender as necessidades de exportação. De acordo com essa dinâmica, torna-se necessário pensar no licenciamento ambiental de uma forma diferenciada, ao propor medidas mitigadoras e/ou compensatórias que anulem ou minimizem os impactos causados não só pela lógica imobiliária, mas também pela lógica industrial. Dessa forma, a pesquisa visa analisar as possibilidades de licenciamento ambiental de uma plataforma logística industrial utilizando como cenário a Região Metropolitana de Campinas
Abstract: There's a great dynamic for the industrial processes of a logistic platform intending to assist the necessities of exporting. According to this dynamic, it is necessary for one, to think differently to obtain an environmental license and to propose mitigation or compensation measures that void or minimize the impacts caused not only by the real estate system, but also by the industrial system. This way, the research targets analyzing the possibility of acquiring an environmental license for an industrial logistic platform using as vicinity, the metropolitan region of Campinas City

O aumento do número de produtos com vida útil menor, a intensificação no uso do comércio eletrônico, leis cada vez mais exigentes de responsabilidade sobre descarte dos produtos e uma crescente consciência ambiental têm gerado um elevado número de retornos, fazendo crescer a importância da Logística Reversa para as empresas e para a sociedade, de forma geral. Contudo, constatou-se na literatura que se trata de uma área ainda pouco explorada, que carece de histórico e estatísticas que a mapeiem e, portanto, não existem dados concretos para se trabalhar e explorar as oportunidades de melhoria. Com o intuito de mitigar esta carência, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica acerca da relação entre a Logística Reversa e o desempenho empresarial, bem como uma pesquisa junto às empresas procurando verificar como se dá este relacionamento. A utilização de um método de pesquisa misto com estratégia exploratória possibilitou captar informação sobre os programas e atividades específicas da Logística Reversa nas empresas brasileiras. Como resultados principais desta tese obteve-se um modelo conceitual para abordar a Logística Reversa na estratégia das organizações e um conjunto de indicadores que possibilitam avaliar o seu desempenho. Adotou-se um Método de Tomada de Decisão com Múltiplos Critérios para ajudar na escolha dos indicadores, que foi a chave para o funcionamento adequado do modelo proposto. A validação do modelo, junto a especialistas das empresas envolvidas na pesquisa, demonstrou que seu uso é factível e que ele oferece alternativas sobre como intervir nas atividades da Logística Reversa no sentido de alinhá-la aos objetivos estratégicos das empresas.
The increase in the number of items with a lower useful life, the massive use of ecommerce, an increased environmental awareness and increasingly demanding laws on disposal of products responsibility, has created a elevated number of returns, making to grow the importance of Reverse Logistics for society and companies, in a general fashion. It was found in the literature, however, that Reverse Logistics is still a poorly explored activity, without historical and statistical data that maps it and consequently, there is no concrete data to work with and to explore the opportunities for improvement. With the goal of minimizing this deficiency, a bibliographic research about the relation between the Reverse Logistics and the business performance was made, besides a research along the companies seeking to verify how this relationship is made. Using a mixed research method with exploratory strategy allowed picking up information about the programs and specific activities of Reverse Logistics in Brazilian companies. As the main result of this thesis, a conceptual model for addressing the Reverse Logistics in the organizations strategy and a set of indicators that allow assessing their performance was obtained. A Multiple Criteria Decision Making was adopted to help in the choice of indicators, which was the key to the proper functioning of the proposed model. The validation of the model, along with experts from companies involved in research, has demonstrated that its use is feasible and it offers alternatives on how to intervene in the activities of Reverse Logistics in order to align it with the strategic objectives of companies.

Il presente studio approfondisce la nozione di logistica collaborativa, discutendone in particolare nel suo duplice rapporto con le esigenze di sostenibilità ambientale e sociale. Nel primo capitolo si illustra in generale il concetto di logistica. In generale, la logistica è stata considerata come una parte del Supply Chain Management (SCM) e può essere definita come la gestione delle merci che include la pianificazione, l'implementazione e il controllo dei flussi di andata e ritorno dal punto di produzione ai punti di consumo finale per soddisfare la domanda del consumatore. Le aziende che lavorano congiuntamente hanno esteso la logistica alla catena di fornitura con l'obiettivo di rafforzare il coordinamento e l’Inter gestione tra di loro per garantire un'ottimizzazione globale e reciproca. La visione della logistica è stata così estesa da singola azienda a catena di aziende. La gestione del flusso di informazioni svolge un ruolo fondamentale nel coordinamento e nella gestione dei flussi fisici in tali organizzazioni multi-aziendali. Nel secondo capitolo si illustra la nozione di logistica collaborativa nelle sue due principali dimensioni: quella verticale e quella orizzontale. In ultimo, nel terzo capitolo ci si concentra sul rapporto tra logistica collaborativa e sostenibilità ambientale e sociale. La sfida consiste oggi nell'adottare all'unisono nuovi modelli di collaborazione nella catena di fornitura comprendenti la gestione degli investimenti, delle capacità produttive, delle risorse umane, delle prestazioni, delle retribuzioni, delle condizioni di lavoro.

L’analisi che verrà effettuata in questa tesi, dopo un breve excursus su come il marchio Diadora Sport sia diventato uno dei protagonisti nel mercato europeo ed extraeuropeo, avrà l’obiettivo di mostrare i vantaggi del cambiamento del partner logistico e dell’internalizzazione del processo della creazione delle consegne, ovvero la pianificazione della lavorazione degli ordini a magazzino. Questo cambiamento ha richiesto la creazione, all’interno dell’azienda, di una nuova figura ad hoc, inizialmente svolta in stage e attualmente in modo continuativo, che mi ha permesso di approfondire al meglio quest’argomento. A tal proposito la tesi effettua una trasposizione del sistema delle reti di Petri, affrontato con il corso di “Sistemi informativi di supporto alle decisioni aziendali”, all’interno del processo logistico di Diadora.

AbstractIn today’s buyer’s markets, logistical service quality is of great importance, particularly for high-priced products. For many buyers, the automobile is the epitome of a high-priced, individually customized product. Hence, customers expect a high delivery service quality. Distribution logistics provides the link between the manufacturer and the customer and is therefore responsible for providing these services. In automobile logistics, the distribution chain involves several stakeholders, such as manufacturers, transport, and technical services providers, as well as dealers. Seamless coordination between them is crucial. Digitalization is an inevitable means for gaining a high level of transparency among the stakeholders. In addition, it provides technologies for developing effective and tailor-made assistance and control systems that support processes along the distribution chain. In recent years, the BIBA—Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH has been active in automobile logistics research and has been involved in developing several assistant and control systems that range from relatively simple track and trace systems to highly complex compound control systems. In this paper, we present an overview of the developed systems and provide a vision, how recent and ongoing research improves automobile logistics and how to further potential can be leveraged.

AbstractA Semantic Mediator was conceived in the CRC 637 (The Collaborative Research Centre 637 “Autonomous Cooperating Logistic Processes” focused on adaptive logistic processes including autonomous capabilities for the decentralised coordination of autonomous logistic objects in a heterarchical structure.) to tackle problems of interoperability of heterogeneous information sources in autonomous cooperating logistics processes. Since the conclusion of the CRC 637, the Semantic Mediator has been developed further and successfully transferred to interoperability problems in different domains, including Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, and Product Lifecycle Management. This paper will introduce the Semantic Mediator and present examples of its successful application.

AbstractBrazil is the world’s largest producer of soybean followed by the United States. These two countries accounting for roughly 68.7% of world production. The largest soybean producing region in Brazil is the Midwest, followed by the southern region. Between 2010 and 2020, the exported volume of soybean rose from 29.1 million tons to 83 million tons, respectively, representing 185% rise. The soybean exports are drained by nine logistic corridors and recently it calls attention the expansion of the logistics corridors of the Northern Arch of Brazil. It is expected that Ferrogrão, a railway project connecting the 933 km from Sinop (Mato Grosso state) to Itaituba (Pará state), will consolidate the Tapajós River Corridor as one of the most important corridors to the grain flows and it will help to reduce freight prices. The objective of this paper is to present the recent change in the grain exports flows through the Northern Arch of Brazil and discuss the potential impact of Ferrogrão rail in the Brazilian logistics of grain exports. For it, at the first item will be presented the importance of Brazilian soybean production in the world market and the main producing region in Brazil; in the second item will be presented the main logistic corridors for grain exports; in the third item will be presented the Northern Arch logistic corridors; in the fourth item will be presented the Ferrogrão railway project and in the fifth item will be presented the final considerations.

AbstractThe methodology to model systems as graphs or networks already exists for a long time. The availability of information technology and computational power has led to a renaissance of the network modeling approach. Scientists have collected data and started to create huge models of complex networks from various domains. Manufacturing and logistics benefits from this development, because material flow systems are predetermined to be modeled as networks. This chapter revisits selected advances in network modeling and analysis in manufacturing and logistics that have been achieved in the last decade. It presents the basic modeling concept, the transition from static to dynamic and stochastic models, and a collection of examples how network models can be applied to contribute to solving problems in planning and control of logistic systems.

AbstractIn 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping advised to establish the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road,” also referred as the Belt and Road Initiative or the New Silk Roads Policy. The intention is to promote international and regional trade as well as cooperation in and between Asia and Europe. Consequently, international maritime and terrestrial freight transport corridors are either established or strengthened and operated. The purpose of this paper is to reflect the Belt and Road Initiative from the perspective of logistics. The aim is to identify and formulate circumstances, expectations, opportunities, and peculiarities of logistics along the New Silk Roads. For this purpose, four corresponding challenges will be considered and outlined after an introduction to the Belt and Road Initiative. The four logistics challenges concern the awareness of new freight transport corridors and the assessment of possibilities for opening new transport relations and new markets, the implementation of new and the adaptation of existing supply chains to increase strategic logistics flexibility, the availability and use of digital infrastructure and connectivity for improved communication and coordination of logistical processes, and the willingness to consider regional and cultural differences in the preparation and realization of supply chain decisions.

This article discusses the studies for applying synthetic – composite recycled plastic ties, along the track of the MRS heavy haul railroad. The purpose if this paper is to present the studies and results of field and laboratory tests, referring to work cycles of readings, investigations and analyses of steel and synthetic ties performance, comparing with wood ties on railway track of the MRS Logistica railroad net. MRS is a Heavy Haul Co. in Brazil that transports over one hundred and thirty million net metric tones on MRS’ network. Experimental stretches were established where readings of track deflection under train loads were taken using new technologies as laser equipment; samples from the ballast and subgrade layers were collected and taken for laboratory tests. In the case of the composite plastic ties, Brazilian supply chain, environment benefits and ties performance are presented.

Laser beam welding (LBW) has become standard in many high-production and critical applications where the return on investment can be quickly realized due to the process' inherent efficiency in terms of weld penetration and travel speed. Also, some promising work has been done internationally related to the use of hybrid laser/arc welding (HLAW) for some applications (primarily shipbuilding), so this process variation was also included in the study. However, virtually all of the current LBW or HLAW applications are considered 'factory' applications, and therefore do not represent the logistical challenge associated with bringing laser technology to on or offshore pipeline welding operations. This project was aimed at studying the feasibility of overcoming those logistical challenges in order to realize the potential cost savings of applying this high production process. This study was limited to the application of Nd:YAG lasers (which can be delivered via fiber-optic cable) since the logistics of incorporating higher power CO2 lasers was felt to be impractical. The focus of the project was to study the potential productivity of the LBW and HLAW processes in terms of the thickness of material that could be welded in a single pass at a given travel speed. Additionally, the robustness of the process was determined using weld joints with less than ideal fit up. Potential feasibility of the processes were then determined by considering both the practical aspects of their application as well as the economic justification.
