Abstract:
Today, simply delivering a product to the right place at the right time is no longer enough. Customers demand more; they demand the full suite of logistics services. Customers thus seek higher-value and additional services, and more, which enable them to compete. Thus, the problem underlying analysis is customers’ growing dissatisfaction with existing services and their quality. Quality of service no longer gives business entities a competitive edge. It is vital for companies to have different activities, to operate in different branches of the economy, and to work with different types of goods. However, despite these differences, they all want to obtain maximum satisfaction from logistics services. With this in mind, the purpose of this article is to present a study examining the impact of logistics service quality on the satisfaction of companies working with different categories of goods Results indicated that different logistics service users do not have the same requirements for logistics service quality. Moreover, it was proved that SERVQUAL method is suitable for identification of sectoral value gaps, which can be applied in practice assuring competitive advantage.

Abstract:
Urban goods transport, long considered not to be a priority issue, seems to be attracting interest today not only by traditional actors, such as local administrations and logistics firms, but also by new actors, such as local public sector transport companies. The first part defines the concept of shared passenger and goods urban transport and describes the existing solutions by means of an international survey. An analysis is then made of the experiences of pioneering European urban transport operators and finally economic factors are examined along with the conditions which could make those solutions an interesting alternative to the traditional provision of logistics services. Finally, possible scenarios for Milan are proposed, based on an analysis of the urban transport system of this regional capital.

Abstract:
In the article the author has analyzed the general principles of transport logistics in Ukraine. The main factors that determine the logistical activities and which have an influence on the choice of the mode of transport have been determined. The transportation of cargo by mode of transport was analysed, and outlined a place of road transport. In this paper conducted analytical studies to determine the sectoral structure of export of Ukraine’s regions to neighboring countries by automobile transport by means of transportation and information portal Ukraine “Lardi-trans”. According to the study from the regions highest exports to neighboring countries – produce timber and woodworking industry. Production of the industry ranks first in the structure of exports of goods Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Donetsk, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Food products in the export structure dominated Kiev, Cherkassy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Odessa, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions. In other regions dominated by agricultural products – particularly Kirovohrad region, iron and steel products – Dnipropetrovsk region, Lugansk region – produce pulp and paper industry. In second place in the export structure in Western countries mainly agricultural products and foodstuffs. But in the eastern regions of the country is mostly engineering products. According to the study the regions of Ukraine were divided into 3 groups: West of the predominance in the structure of exports of forestry and wood processing industry, Central – dominated the food industry and agricultural and East – dominated, industries and mechanical engineering and metal working, chemical, steel and non-ferrous industry. In the work assessed exports by region of Ukraine with the release of several groups of regions and analyzed by mode of transport. An important role in the study covers evaluation of transit of goods by road through the territory of Ukraine with analysis of major trend and states – participants. Countries that use the transport system of Ukraine for the transit of their goods to third countries were divided into three groups. The first group includes Turkey, Russia and Moldova on transit volumes over 500 ths. tons. The second group consists of Romania, Italy, Belarus and Poland. The volume of transit through Ukraine up to 200 – 500 ths. tons. In the third group, with the least, but no less important for the economic development of Ukraine transit volumes include Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia and Germany. The basic tasks of transport logistics were defined in the article, including states which improve the quality of the transport infrastructure and transport services and bringing them up to global standards, the maximum load of the rolling stock, cargo insurance and vehicles.

Abstract:
The article presents the analysis of approaches connected with solving the problems of increasing the effectiveness of managing the processes of goods movement in the supply chains. The attention has been focused on estimating the qualitative component of transport services, and that is the reliability index. The approaches focused on improving the efficiency of providing transport services have been studied. The main parameters influencing the reliability of transport and logistics services are identified: time, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the goods, as well as the financial component – the cost of the provided transport service. A new methodical approach to estimating the reliability of goods flows in the supply chains is proposed. It is based on the main principles of the theory of automatic regulation and the determination of the reliability of technical systems. A complex index of reliability of transport services of logistics chains is offered: the readiness coefficient and the technical use coefficient. On the basis of structural and parametric identification of the dynamic model of the logistic system of goods transportation, the considered approach allows identifying a large number of constructive and technological parameters which affect the movement of goods flows in the supply chains. The results of the simulation allow one to analyze the influence of the time constant which characterizes the response time of the links in the transport and logistics system, that is, the ability of the transport service participant not to respond to any external influences, and the influence of the time constant which is responsible for delays, non-productive time losses occurring during the delivery of the goods, on the dynamics of the transitional processes of the goods flow movement for each link in the supply chains. The elaborated method allows developing managing actions aimed at improving the quality of transport services.

Abstract:
Logistics processes are becoming more widespread in the Russian economy. Transport logistics is an integral part of logistics. Its functions are to select the optimal routes for the movement of economic goods in the interests of all participants in these processes. The purpose of this work is to substantiate the methods of solving the main problems of transport logistics in Russian conditions. The study uses a systematic approach. Based on it, algorithms for solving transport logistics problems in the Russian economy are refined, the choice of transport mode, carrier and other logistics partners is ensured, rational delivery routes are determined, the technological unity of transport and warehouse processes is established, and the optimization of transport process parameters is achieved. The emerging flow processes must be interconnected through the integration of transport, production, supply, sales, consumption, service, financing and information. In the associated flow processes, the economic interests of all participants in the transport market (the sender, who forms the material flows, the recipient and the carrier) will be rationally coordinated with the economic interests of other participants in the logistics process. This will help overcome technical, technological, informational, economic, financial, international, environmental, and labor problems. In this case, transaction costs are reduced by all participants in logistics chains, the risks of doing business are reduced, and a synergistic effect is achieved.

Abstract:
Multiple deliveries and long turnaround times on construction sites harm the environment and disturb on-site productivity and safety. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the transport patterns of construction material deliveries, including turnaround times. In order to investigate the number of transports and turnaround times, transport data for 13 Swedish construction sites, which were collected with the help of booking systems, were used. By comparing data from the cases, several patterns were observed: (i) very few projects receive deliveries at weekends, (ii) almost all projects receive 50% of their daily deliveries before 09:00, (iii) long goods, standard euro pallets and lightweight goods (less than 500 kg) are the most common deliveries, (iv) trucks and delivery vans are the most common vehicles used and (v) goods to be handled by crane and lightweight goods generate the longest turnaround time/delivery. This is one of the rare studies revealing current practice and issues associated with material deliveries, which is a necessary first step to increase efficiency of construction logistics. This study shows that it is possible to influence these issues, as some projects performed better than others regarding turnaround times and transport.

Abstract:
Abstract The quality of transport infrastructure and the efficiency of logistics services enhance economic development. This study measures the effects of transport-freight common modals and logistics performance on the exports of goods in 29 developing economies based on micro fixed-effects panel data for the period 2012–2018. The endogenous model proved a positive relationship with countries’ outward orientation, highlighting the importance of transport infrastructure and logistics resources. The results revealed that the quality of roads and ports contribute significantly to higher exports in developing economies. However, the quality of airport infrastructure and logistics show a harmful effect. Notably, the logistics services level is a detrimental factor impacting the export of goods in developing economies. These results may adversely impact the potential contributions of other transport assets based on intermodal transport functionality and global market participation. Therefore, governments should prioritize formulating innovative policies and integration strategies with the private sector to improve the performance of logistics providers and fully utilize current transportation assets, particularly airports. These plans will facilitate higher exports, yield better development, and improve economic competitiveness while expanding export product diversification opportunities.
