Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
The article is based on both theory and research. The goal is to analyze selected aspects of the concepts of logotherapy and logotheory by Viktor E. Frankl, in terms of their use in developing programs for the prevention of risky behavior of children and adolescents. The subject of research is logotherapy. This concept provides a theoretical framework for creating programs for prevention of risky behavior. The main research problem boils down to the following question: Is logotherapy applicable, and to what extent, as the theoretical basis in the new concept of risk behavior prevention? The research method is a source analysis of data obtained through a selective search and a qualitative interview with the author of the first risk behavior prevention program in Poland based on the principles of logotherapy. After introducing the ideas of logotherapy, the author describes its key concept: the meaning of life in the process of human development and upbringing. She then discusses selected principles and techniques of logotherapy as the theoretical underpinning of logoprophylaxis. In the next section, she cites the practical application of logotheory and logotherapy in social prevention, using the example of the prevention program “Cuder: Live With Meaning” run by the “Archezja” Educational Support Foundation.

For what are we born to become as Homo Sapiens? This question is answered in this article on the logotherapy of Dr. Viktor Frankl. This article commences with an exploration of human ontology guided by the philosophy of existentialism. This exploration leads to a continuation of this article by an explanation of logotherapy in theoretical principles and therapeutic processes. This explanation leads to the conclusion of this article by an application of logotherapy in three cases. This article is written with a creative synthesis that engages philosophical thoughts and psychological practices for logotherapists in the 21st Century.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of V. Frankl’s Logotherapy in personal counseling for a senile dementia caregiver through client’s changes. It was also to examine the factors which influenced the outcome based on the Logotherapy-centered technique. 10 sessions of Logotherapy personal counseling and one further session were conducted to the senile dementia caregiver. The data were collected from recording of interviews, transcripts, therapist’s case notes and reflection papers, and were analyzed using a single case study method. The study revealed that the Logotherapy personal counseling has brought positive changes in mental security and problem solving to the client. It also suggested the 5 factors of the outcome which are the client’s guilt, experiential values, creative values, attitudinal values, and self-transcendence, and analyzed the therapy process of discovering meaning of life by presenting specific cases. In the end, the significance of the study and the suggestion for further research were presented.

Abstract:
The paper deals with one of the schools of psychotherapy, namely the so-called logotherapy. This term comes from the Greek word logos – meaning. Therapy with the meaning of life – because we might call logotherapy so in other words – was developed by Viktor E. Frankl in the first half of the 20th century. That Vienna psychiatrist pointed out rightly that the greatest problem of the modern man is the inability to make sense in life, which gives rise to many mental disorders. In the paper we attempt to approximate both the theoretical assumptions of logotherapy and its practical application in work with the patient.

Abstract:
50 years ago NZAP was founded- one year after the publication of Professor Viktor Frankl's book, Man's Search for Meaning, published on his release from a Nazi concentration camp in 1946. Initially inspired by Freud, Frankl later tried to integrate the biological and psychological dimensions with a specifically human dimension, the noetic or spiritual dimension. Logotherapy an Existential Analysis aims to counter some of the self-fulfilling prophecies, introspection and therapeutic nihilism inherit in other treatments. Logotherapy aims to enable the patient to identify and fulfil meaning potentialities, such as by bringing out their capacity for self-transcendence.
Logotherapy and Existential Analysis can be used clinically in situations as diverse as mid-life crisis, fear of death, phobias and anxiety, alcohol dependence and other problems of living. There has also been some research interest in existential approaches over many years in New Zealand.
