Abstract:
Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequence analysis has been widely used to investigate population genetic and evolutional history of different ethnic groups worldwide. In this study, the D-loop region of 119 Vietnamese individuals belonging to three different ethnic groups was sequenced and compared with reference mtDNA on rCRS for genetic variations. Total 218 genetic polymorphisms were found in this population, among which 48 variations appeared with frequencies of more than 0.1. Further statistical analysis showed that there were 23, 13 and 24 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) distributed differently between Kinh vs. Lolo, Kinh vs. Lahu , and Lolo vs. Lahu groups, respectively. The mean pairwise genetic distances between each pair of ethnic groups were 0.0101, 0.0098 and 0.0092 for Kinh - Lolo, Kinh - Lahu, Lolo - Lahu, respectively. This indicated that although the Lolo and Lahu ethnic groups both belong to the Tibeto-Burman language group, the genetic distance between them was no closer than the genetic distances between them and the Kinh group of the Viet-Muong (Austroasiatic) language group. This study was the first research on the D-loop region of the Lolo and Lahu populations in Vietnam. These results provided more data for exploring the genetic background and the history of those ethnic groups as well as other minority ethnic groups in Vietnam.

Abstract:
According to the purpose of the work, the effect of cadmium ions on the water exchange parameters in green Lolo and red Lolo Ross varieties of Lactuca sativa L. was investigated. In the experiment one-month plants grown on the medium where 0.1 mM cadmium was added in the sulfate form for fourteen days were used. The investigated parameters included: water deficit index, relative turgescence, free water content, cellular juice concentration, stomatal density and condition, and tolerance index. The weighable, refractometric, microscopic and analytical methods of research were used during the investigation Due to the results, the various plant response to the cadmium ions action in these lettuce varieties was revealed. In particular, the water deficit growth, reduction of the relative turgescence parameter, the free water content and concentration of cellular juice compared with the control level during the exposure was recorded in the green Lolo variety. Whereas, the water deficit decrease, an increase in the parameters of relative turgescence and free water content to the fourteenth day of exposure was noted for the red Lolo Ross variety. And also the absence of a reliable difference in the parameter of the concentration of cell juice. In addition, in both varieties, there was an increase in xeromorphism of the leaf blades, and in particular the stomata density. But in Lolo variety, most were locked in, unlike the Ross variety. According to the characteristics of the water exchange and stomatal analysis, it can be argued about the higher adaptive capacities of the Lolo Ross variety to this stress factor, compared with the Lolo variety.

Abstract:
Due to the aim the effect of pre-sowing treatment with a nonionic colloidal solution of the mix of copper, zinc, manganese and iron nanoparticles, cadmium ions and their combined action on the physiological and biochemical indices: the content of lipid peroxidation products and balance of photosynthetic pigments in green Lolo and red Lolo Ross varieties of Lactuca sativa L. was investigated. Spectrophotometric methods of investigating the content of peroxides, thiobarbiturate-active products (with use of the modified Kumar and Knowles method), as well as the content of the main photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, b, a/b ratio, and the carotenoid content) with the Wintermans, de Mots calculations application were used. Due to the results, a decrease in the content of peroxides and growth of malonic dialdehyde was observed for most treatment variants of Lolo. The opposite tendency was observed for the Ross variety (the initial growth of these parameters under the nanoparticles influence decreased to the control during the fourteen-day exposure). The decrease of chlorophyll content was observed In the Lolo variety under the essential metal nanoparticles influence, in contrast to the action of cadmium. For the Ross variety, a significant reduction of both chlorophyll and carotenoid contents in all treatment types during exposure was calculated. The a/b-index for Lolo plants has significantly increased in variants of cadmium influence, for Ross plants the divergence of the influence of all treatment variants has been marked. As a result, the treatment with a mixture of essential nanometals showed additive stress-loading functions. It was observed in a growth of the level of lipid peroxidation products and the reduction of the photosynthetic pigment biomarkers in both varieties during the 0,1 mM cadmium exposure. The Lolo Ross variety showed a higher variability of results under different treatment, compared to the Lolo variety.

Abstract:
Abstract: Pandemic is a momentum that presents ecological reflection, forcing people to return to basic lessons about life and reflect on reconstructing new relations with the natural environment, which is closely related to the philosophy of "Sangserekan Bane" in the Toraja context. In the writer's perspective, the community needs to get good and correct eco-theological education to help think comprehensively about an ecological dynamic that occurs. This is what the authors then see that it is necessary to get a proper explanation using a qualitative-descriptive historical model approach that aims to create an ecological conversion for society that can help restore the earth's homiostatic status. The result is that through the philosophy of "Sangserekan Bane" it is realized that “lolo tau" (human), “lolo tananan” (plant) and” lolo patuan” (animal) have the same ontological status, because they are created from the same material, namely gold, so that they can help to form a synergy understanding, creation as a narrative narrative of creation in the book of Genesis.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT The LolCDE complex, an ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter, releases lipoproteins from the inner membrane, thereby initiating lipoprotein sorting to the outer membrane of Escherichia coli. The LolCDE complex is composed of two copies of an ATPase subunit, LolD, and one copy each of integral membrane subunits LolC and LolE. LolD hydrolyzes ATP on the cytoplasmic side of the inner membrane, while LolC and/or LolE recognize and release lipoproteins anchored to the periplasmic leaflet of the inner membrane. Thus, functional interaction between LolD and LolC/E is critically important for coupling of ATP hydrolysis to the lipoprotein release reaction. LolD contains a characteristic sequence called the LolD motif, which is highly conserved among LolD homologs but not other ABC transporters of E. coli. The LolD motif is suggested to be a region in contact with LolC/E, judging from the crystal structures of other ABC transporters. To determine the functions of the LolD motif, we mutagenized each of the 32 residues of the LolD motif and isolated 26 dominant-negative mutants, whose overexpression arrested growth despite the chromosomal lolD + background. We then selected suppressor mutations of the lolC and lolE genes that correct the growth defect caused by the LolD mutations. Mutations of the lolC suppressors were mainly located in the periplasmic loop, whereas ones of lolE suppressors were mainly located in the cytoplasmic loop, suggesting that the mode of interaction with LolD differs between LolC and LolE. Moreover, the LolD motif was found to be critical for functional interplay with LolC/E, since some LolD mutations lowered the ATPase activity of LolCDE without affecting that of LolD.

Abstract. Pottery is a tool made by hands with special skills. Pottery one of the cultural results that began to be known at the time of cultivation in Indonesia. Pottery is a fragile item, because the ingredients and the manufacturing process produce goods that have limited endurance in their use. The varying needs of pottery also indicate the diversity of forms made of produced. Pottery artifacts are often found on archaological sites, either intact or broken in an occasional amount, and are the most dominant artifact findings among other artefact findings. From pottery data may be revealed some aspects of human life supporters, both the maker and the wearer. Research that has been done by archaeology center of south sumatera and the center of national archaeology research and development in sumbagsel region found many decorative pottery such as Kunduran Site, Lolo Gedang, and Muak. From Kunduran 9 decorative pottery, Lolo Gedang 41 decorated pottery, and Muak 11 decorated pottery.

Abstract:
Root disease killed trees in 33% of 579 stands on the Lolo National Forest, Montana. Of all the commercial forest land, 123 255 ha, or 18.8%, was diseased; 1.2% was in nonstocked patches. The statistical method CART (classification and regression trees) was used to construct a decision tree to place stands into one of four classes, based on the probability that the stands contained trees that were killed by root disease. High probabilities of root disease were found for stands in the western hemlock and grand fir habitat type series (0.59) and in other habitat types on moderate slopes with southerly aspects (0.48). Low probabilities of disease were found on non-hemlock and non grand fir types on northerly aspects (0.15) and southerly aspects that were on either flat or very rugged terrain (0.17). Both Phellinusweirii (Murr.) Gilb. and Armillaria sp., probably A. ostoyae (Romagna) Herick, were frequently associated with mortality in hemlock, grand fir, and cedar habitat type series. Only A. ostoyae was common on Douglas-fir and subalpine fir habitat type series, however. Selective harvest and fire control in these two classes may contribute to the extensive root disease mortality found in Lolo National Forest at present.

Abstract:
Partial cutting prescriptions were applied in the fall of 1978 through the early winter of 1980 to lodgepole pine stands (Pinuscontorta Douglas var. latifolia Engelmann) threatened by mountain pine beetle (Dendroctonusponderosae Hopkins) in the Kootenai and Lolo National Forests in western Montana, U.S.A. Partial cutting prescriptions consisted of removing from separate stands all trees 17.8, 25,4, and 30.5 cm and larger diameter at breast height (dbh), and prescriptions leaving 18.4, 23.0, and 27.6 m2 basal area per hectare. In thinned stands, the first 5 years' results following cutting showed greatly reduced tree losses to mountain pine beetle when compared with untreated stands (P < 0.01) on both forests. There were no significant differences in tree losses among partial cut treatments (P > 0.05). Post treatment mortality of lodgepole pine 12.7 cm and larger dbh to mountain pine beetle averaged 4.0 to 38.6% on the Kootenai and 6.0 to 17.1% on the Lolo in treated stands, compared with averages of 93.8 and 73.1% in untreated stands. Partial cutting appears to be useful for reducing lodgepole losses to mountain pine beetle.

Abstract:
Three types of Lactuca sativa L. plants (green lettuces Batavia cv. Maritima and cv. Winter Butterhead, red lettuce Lolo rosa cv. Tuska) were investigated for their polyphenol composition. The lettuce plants were grown in polyethylene greenhouses and treated with different fertilisers. The qualitative and quantitative polyphenol composition was evaluated according to the use of mineral, organic (Italpollina and Arkobaleno) and bio (Lombricompost and EKOprop NX) fertilisers. The individual polyphenol components (caffeoyl derivatives and quercetin glycosides) were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography and the sample differences were estimated. The differences in the polyphenol content in the green lettuce cultivars in dependence on fertilisation were much higher than those in the red cultivar. In general, the red lettuce Lolo rosa cv. Tuska was characterised by the highest content of polyphenols. The highest content of all components was determined in the samples of red lettuce with the use of organic fertiliser Arkobaleno. In. the red lettuce and the green lettuce cv. Winter Butterhead organic fertilisation resulted in the higher content of polyphenols in comparison with mineral fertilisation and unfertilised samples. An exception was observed in cv. Maritima, where the unfertilised samples showed higher content of polyphenols compared to the fertilised samples

Abstract:
ABSTRACT ATP-binding cassette transporter LolCDE was previously identified, by using reconstituted proteoliposomes, as an apparatus catalyzing the release of outer membrane-specific lipoproteins from the inner membrane of Escherichia coli. Mutations resulting in defective LolD were previously shown to be lethal for E. coli. The amino acid sequences of LolC and LolE are similar to each other, but the necessity of both proteins for lipoprotein release has not been proved. Moreover, previous reconstitution experiments did not clarify whether or not LolCDE is the sole apparatus for lipoprotein release. To address these issues, a chromosomal lolC-lolD-lolE null mutant harboring a helper plasmid that carries the lolCDE genes and a temperature-sensitive replicon was constructed. The mutant failed to grow at a nonpermissive temperature because of the depletion of LolCDE. In addition to functional LolD, both LolC and LolE were required for growth. At a nonpermissive temperature, the outer membrane lipoproteins were mislocalized in the inner membrane since LolCDE depletion inhibited the release of lipoproteins from the inner membrane. Furthermore, both LolC and LolE were essential for the release of lipoproteins. On the other hand, LolCDE depletion did not affect the translocation of a lipoprotein precursor across the inner membrane and subsequent processing to the mature lipoprotein. From these results, we conclude that the LolCDE complex is an essential ABC transporter for E. coli and the sole apparatus mediating the release of outer membrane lipoproteins from the inner membrane.

Abstract:
Gear fault detection is one of the underlying research areas in the field of condition monitoring of rotating machines. Many methods have been proposed as an approach. One of the major tasks to obtain the best fault detection is to examine what type of feature(s) should be taken out to clarify/improve the situation. In this paper, a new method is used to extract features from the vibration signal, called 1D local binary pattern (1D LBP). Vibration signals of a rotating machine with normal, break, and crack gears are processed for feature extraction. The extracted features from the original signals are utilized as inputs to a classifier based onk-Nearest Neighbour (k-NN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for three classes (normal, break, or crack). The effectiveness of the proposed approach is evaluated for gear fault detection, on the vibration data obtained from the Prognostic Health Monitoring (PHM’09) Data Challenge. The experiment results show that the 1D LBP method can extract the effective and relevant features for detecting fault in the gear. Moreover, we have adopted the LOSO and LOLO cross-validation approaches to investigate the effects of speed and load in fault detection.

Abstract:
The goal of this research was to identify the dryland cereal crop seed plasma types growing around Kelimutu National Park, located in Ende district on the island of Flores in Indonesia, by observing crop morphology and cultivation techniques. Cereal crops represent the largest source of carbohydrates in the regional diet in comparison to other food groups in this area where dry land makes up 80% of the total available land. It is estimated that the Ende district of Flores has adequate potential to produce dryland cereal as a staple food crop. Previous studies have shown that farmer preference is shifting towards the cultivation of crops with a higher economic value which threatens the existence of some cereal crops. Concurrently, shifts in eating habits have made rice a staple food in this region, leading to increased consumption and threatening the existence of other cereal crops. Furthermore, outsiders tend to think of areas like Flores as being impoverished, with frequent problems with food security. Currently, there is a lack of knowledge within the youth population about the types of foods, especially cereals, which are rich in nutrients and their use in rituals. This research aims to address this gap by collecting information on cereal crops in and around Kelimutu National Park for dissemination through educational and cultural tours. This study was conducted in the eastern subdistrict of Ndona, Flores and Wolojita Detusoko between June and December 2011. Study findings identified 5 main cereal crops: paddy fields (consisting of: Are Rumba, Are Sela, Are Obo, Are Laka, Amera, Eko Ndale, Kea Ria, Are Mera, Are Kea Mboa, Eko Ena), corn (consisting of Java Roga, Nggela Java, Java, Keo Ri’a), sorghum (consisting of mera Lolo, Lolo Mite and Lolo Telo Leko), barley (consisting of Mera and Wete Wete Bara) and millet (consisting of Ke’o Mite and Ke’o). Of the five types of cereal crops identified, one type (Pega, a subspecies of barley with a sorghum-like panicle) is not found in four of the districts. It was found that corn, classified as a native plant, is strengthened through cultivation by re-seeding. Study results illustrated that corn in this area is of reduced genetic quality, as illustrated by the fact that 3-4 cobs did not develop. Alternatively, the Ke’o Bara strain of barley has a morphology and panicle strand number (270-300) that suggest that this species is typical of this region.

Abstract:
In Gram-negative bacteria, outer-membrane lipoproteins are essential for maintaining cellular integrity, transporting nutrients, establishing infections, and promoting the formation of biofilms. The LolCDE ABC transporter, LolA chaperone, and LolB outer-membrane receptor form an essential system for transporting newly matured lipoproteins from the outer leaflet of the cytoplasmic membrane to the innermost leaflet of the outer membrane. Here, we present a crystal structure of LolA in complex with the periplasmic domain of LolC. The structure reveals how a solvent-exposed β-hairpin loop (termed the “Hook”) and trio of surface residues (the “Pad”) of LolC are essential for recruiting LolA from the periplasm and priming it to receive lipoproteins. Experiments with purified LolCDE complex demonstrate that association with LolA is independent of nucleotide binding and hydrolysis, and homology models based on the MacB ABC transporter predict that LolA recruitment takes place at a periplasmic site located at least 50 Å from the inner membrane. Implications for the mechanism of lipoprotein extraction and transfer are discussed. The LolA–LolC structure provides atomic details on a key protein interaction within the Lol pathway and constitutes a vital step toward the complete molecular understanding of this important system.

Abstract:
In Gram-negative bacteria, lipoproteins are transported to the outer membrane by the Lol system. In this process, lipoproteins are released from the inner membrane by the ABC transporter LolCDE and passed to LolA, a diffusible periplasmic molecular chaperone. Lipoproteins are then transferred to the outer membrane receptor protein, LolB, for insertion in the outer membrane. Here we describe the discovery and characterization of novel pyridineimidazole compounds that inhibit this process.Escherichia colimutants resistant to the pyridineimidazoles show no cross-resistance to other classes of antibiotics and map to either the LolC or LolE protein of the LolCDE transporter complex. The pyridineimidazoles were shown to inhibit the LolA-dependent release of the lipoprotein Lpp fromE. colispheroplasts. These results combined with bacterial cytological profiling are consistent with LolCDE-mediated disruption of lipoprotein targeting to the outer membrane as the mode of action of these pyridineimidazoles. The pyridineimidazoles are the first reported inhibitors of the LolCDE complex, a target which has never been exploited for therapeutic intervention. These compounds open the door to further interrogation of the outer membrane lipoprotein transport pathway as a target for antimicrobial therapy.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The land snail Pristiloma idahoense (Pilsbry, 1902) is reported from Montana for the first time. Five live individuals were found under downed wood beneath a mature coniferous forest canopy at 1670 m elevation in the Big Creek drainage of the Bitterroot Mountains, Ravalli County, Montana. This location extends the known range approximately 75 km east and over the crest of the Bitterroot Mountains from the nearest sites in Idaho County, Idaho and supports the hypothesis that the terrestrial mollusc fauna of Montana west of the continental divide has been strongly influenced by a molluscan radiation, which developed in a northern Idaho Pleistocene refuge. The probable route of dispersal for P. idahoense between the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana and the adjacent Lochsa River drainage of Idaho was over the lower mountains to the north in the Lolo Pass area.

Abstract:
Abstract: In this paper we present the first results of the application of computational methods, inspired by the ideas in McMahon & McMahon (2005), to a dataset collected from languages of every branch of the Tupian family (including all living non-Tupí-Guaraní languages) in order to produce a classification of the family based on lexical distance. We used both a Swadesh list (with historically stabler terms) and a list of animal and plant names for results comparison. In addition, we also selected more (HiHi) and less (LoLo) stable terms from the Swadesh list to form sublists for indepedent treatment. We compared the resulting NeighborNet networks and neighbor-joining cladograms and drew conclusions about their significance for the current understanding of the classification of Tupian languages. One important result is the lack of support for the currently discussed idea of an Eastern-Western division within Tupí.

Abstract:
This study aims to describe and explain how to recognize gifted children through language development and steps to maximize abilities. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach without using statistical formulas or formulas or SPSS assistance. The data in this study were obtained from the analysis of conversation or dialogue as well as the development of the Early Dini Suryani language of the third-grade students of SDN 27 / III Lolo Kecil with their peers, interacting in class with the teacher and while in the family environment. Researchers found that early language development was different from normal children who tended to have the use of well-ordered and well-structured language. Dini also uses a variety of vocabulary that is appropriate for certain contexts. The use of intonation and facial expression in interacting was also applied by Dini in communicating. Even so, Dini has a mental disorder that is high egoistic like when she wants everything she will do even though she forces her will. To maximize early abilities character education is the right support step or method. Thus, Dini can be a gifted child with a good personality.
