Therefore, the intervention used in this research is art therapy because it is expected to help an only child to be able to help express feelings and copeloneliness. Whether they are at greater risk of morbidity is unclear. Gratzke, Michael. ‘Confessions of a MILF (I chose being an artist over being a wife)’. Love and relationships in Viv Albertine’s memoirs. University of Dundee, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.20933/100001240.

Full text
Abstract:
The memoirs of (post-) punk musician Viv Albertine address the issue of choice or lack thereof in romantic and family relationships. They depict a world in which choice of romantic partners appears normal if often unsuccessful, whereas choice within family relationships is restricted. It is self-evident that one cannot choose one’s blood relatives. However, amplified by Albertine’s scepticism towards any social relationships, her two memoirs represent ‘negative choice’ (Eva Illouz) in heterosexual romantic relationships and the complex ways in which negative choice can change family dynamics.

Population ageing is a global phenomenon which presents major challenges for the provision of care at home and in the community (ONS, 2018). The global ageing population has led to a growth in the development of technology designed to improve the health, well-being, independence, and quality of life of older people across various settings (Fang, 2022). Colombo, Karina, Elisa Failache, and Martina Querejeta. High-Speed Internet and Socioemotional Wellbeing in Uruguayan Youth. Inter-American Development Bank, 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.18235/0005154.

Full text
Abstract:
This paper analyses the causal effects of exposure to high-speed internet on socioemotional wellbeing in adolescence and youth. We exploit the geographic and cross-cohort differences in fiber optic accessibility given by the fiber-optic-to-the-home (FTTH) project developed in Uruguay in the period 2011-2018. We identify intention-to-treat effects by combining administrative data on FTTH rollout with large survey data specially designed to collect outcomes in youth. Our results show that access to high-speed internet has mixed effects on mental health. Going from 0 to a 100% probability in FTTH
