U.S. longevity is placing a demand on long-term care services for the impaired and elderly. Medicaid is the primary insurance program in funding costly long-term care for the aged poor. As a major health reform law, the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Public Law 111-148, gives financial incentive for states to expand Medicaid, transitioning long-term care services from costly facilities toward home and community-based care. Not all states choose to expand their Medicaid long-term care program despite the financial incentive, but instead they continue spending on nursing facili

AbstractSuppose that advanced civilizations, separated by a cosmological distance and time, wish to maximize their access to cosmic resources by rapidly expanding into the universe. How does the presence of one limit the expansionistic ambitions of another, and what sort of boundary forms between their expanding domains? We describe a general scenario for any expansion speed, separation distance and time. We then specialize to a question of particular interest: What are the future prospects for a young and ambitious civilization if they can observe the presence of another at a cosmological dis

In this paper, various types of memory are considered.Development of the nervous system and the brain of organisms ensures expansion of species with more developed brain. Different characteristics of the brain zones have created different conditions for forming traces of events. The various traces of trace events formed in different parts of the brain provided a wider range of functions and brain responses, which contributed to the survival and expansion of species. The work describes the appearance of memory varieties and the causes of these varieties.

The abnormal CGG expansion leads to methylation and transcriptional silencing of the FMR1 gene, resulting in a reduction or loss of fragile X mental retardation 1 protein (FMRP) and causes long, thin, and immature dendritic spines, which lead to deficits in cognitive functio
