Des prospections, réalisées au Gabon, ont montré que 9 espèces de Loranthaceæ parasitent de nombreux ligneux, parmi lesquels l’hévéa. Nos recherches ont porté sur 15 000 hévéas de la plantation industrielle de Mitzic, appartenant à 7 clones différents. Le pourcentage de parasitisme varie de 19 à 91% selon le clone considéré avec une espèce dominante, Phragmanthera capitata (95%).
