Lotus birth is the practice of leaving the umbilical cord uncut until separation occurs naturally. Our case series report describes delivery characteristics, neonatal clinical course, cord and placenta management, maternal reasons for a lotus birth, and desire for future lotus births. The purpose of this study was to investigate decision-making, health locus of control, and birth satisfaction among women who chose to have a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) versus women who had a repeat cesarean section (RCS) births. Background: It became clear that a small number of RhD-negative women carrying an RhD-positive fetus continued to be immunized despite the administration of hyperimmune anti-D IgG after delivery, leading to the modification of this program, by giving one or two doses of hyperimmune anti-D IgG in the third trimester of pregnancy, with the addition of one dose after the birth of an RhD-positive child.
