The contrast in the emissivity spectra of phosphorite and associated carbonate rock can be used as a guide to delineate phosphorite within dolomite. The thermal emissivity spectrum of phosphorite is characterized by a strong doublet emissivity feature with their absorption minima at 9 µm and 9.5 µm; whereas, host rock dolomite has relatively subdued emissivity minima at ~9 µm. Using the contrast in the emissivity spectra of phosphorite and dolomite, data obtained by the thermal bands of Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) sensor were processed to delineate ph

To make the best use of the mineral resource, the flotation tests were conducted on the magnetic tailings from a low grade vanadium -titanium magnetite ore, reclaiming phosphorites, By having done the conditional tests, the factors which worked on the flotation were researched. The results showed that for the tailings whose P2O5 grade was 3.05% worked by one roughing, three cleanings, one scavenging and the middlings returned in turn, the concentrate whose P2O5 grade was 33.50%,recovery was 92.18% was obtained, and the phosphorite was reclaimed availably.

The activation effect of ball-to-powder ratio and activation time on phosphorite ore that takes place in mechanochemical activation has been investigated in present paper, which is carried out in a planetary mill AGO-II. The results show that, particle sizes decreased after activation; the leaching rate of water-soluble P2O5 increased 4.6 percentage as ball-to-powder ratio rose from 8:1 to 40:1; the activated particle of samples has been highly dispersed, while the leaching rate of water-soluble P2O5 reached 10.1% after milling 15 minutes during activation, which was 4 times as high as the un-

Abstract The article is devoted to the study of low-grade phosphorites of the Synycheno-Yaremivske deposit in the Iziumskyi district of the Kharkiv region. The possibility of enrichment of this ore by three methods is considered: mechanical, thermal and chemical, carried out in laboratory conditions. The qualitative and quantitative composition of phosphorite has been determined using X-ray fluorescence analysis and electron microscopy with an attachment for energy dispersive analysis. Both natural and enriched raw materials have been studied. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to conc

The phosphorus industry faces the challenge of developing low-grade phosphate reserves for industrial purposes, requiring technological solutions for enrichment. About 20 million tons of low-grade phosphorites are currently unsuitable for processing. Depleting phosphorite deposits and low phosphorus anhydride levels reduce global demand for domestic ore and necessitate research on enrichment and integrated use. This study aims to conduct a thermodynamic analysis of low-grade phosphate enrichment using acetic acid. Using the HSC Chemistry 9.3 program, developed by Finnish metallurgical company

Abstract Corrosion during SCWO treatment is localized in the preheater and cooler sections of the apparatus. In former experiments, titanium has been proved more corrosion resistant than Ni-base alloys also in the highly corrosive environment of the cooler of SCWO apparatuses. For the experiments, tube reactors made of alloy 625 equipped with liners made of titanium grade 2 in the preheater and the cooler sections were exposed to solutions containing hydrochloric, sulfuric or phosphoric acid. The possibility of integrating biomass gasifiers with fuel cells has already been explored and shown to offer a method for using renewable energy to generate electricity at a small scale. A preliminary study of applying such a system for use in an isolated community and for several selected buildings has been made and the results of these studies reported earlier. In this study wood gasification integrated with fuel cell (WGIFC) systems in CHP configurations for five building systems with different energy demand profiles, are assessed.
