Der Zander (Sander lucioperca) hat großes Potential für die Aquakultur in Europa. Die Verbreitung wird durch einen Mangel an Satzmaterial erschwert, welcher durch Variabilität der Gametenqualität verursacht wird. Im Gegensatz zu Effekten der ganzjährigen Reproduktion oder der Laicherfahrung, war besonders die Weibchengröße mit Variabilität der Eiqualität assoziiert. The aim of this study was to induce the triploidy in pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) with use of a cold shock. To induce the triploidy, fertilised egg were (spawning temperature 14,5 °C) submerged in a cold bath at the temperature of 2 °C. Time of initiation was 1; 3; 5; 7 and 10 minutes post activation. The exposure time was 20 and 40 minutes. Ploidy level of freshly hatched larvae was assessed with use of the flow cytometry. The object of this thesis is to verify Largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) as an alternative species to Pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) for fish farming in RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems). Changes in abundances of 0+, 1+ and 2+ age classes of the two most important piscivorous species - asp (Aspius aspius) and pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) in a deep canyon-shaped reservoir were investigated. A long-term fish sampling in the reservoir including fry trawling, fry and adult beach seining and gillneting was used to determine the factors affecting the recruitment. All data were used in a single linear model and the results obtained using different sampling methods were discussed.
