Abstract:

Abstract:
The topic for the thesis is the meaning and interpretation of Luganda li-, ki-/bi-, lu-, ka-/bu-, tu-, and gu-/ga, when these prefixes are used with nouns from other Noun Classes than they are usually associated with. The prefixes listed are presented in such a way that, when they appear in a pair, say ki-/bi, then the one on the right is the plural representation for its counterpart on the left. Therefore, the meaning attached to one of the two prefixes listed in a pair, automatically applies also to its counterpart. It is essential to note that the prefixes which have been investigated in this thesis are a subset of the many prefixes which constitute the Luganda Noun Class markers. The thesis basically discusses the encoded meaning(s) attached to the prefixes, together with the various pragmatic meanings they may achieve in context. When determining which part of meaning attributed to a prefix should be seen as grammatically (semantically) encoded, and which ones should be seen as pragmatically inferred, I have relied on the definition of these categories proposed by Ariel (2008:1-24). Based on responses from informants on the interpretation of the relevant prefixes, a scale has been developed, which proposes a ranking to be followed in contexts where the prefixes are used with a derogatory intention. In this regard, the prefix(es) topping the scale is/are the most derogatory one(s) and the reverse is true with the prefix(es) at the bottom of the scale. The prefixes belonging to the category ‘augmentatives’ were ranked high on the scale compared to ‘diminutives,’ hence the former are more pejorative than the latter. This qualifies the cross-linguistic claim by Xydopoulos & Christopoulou (2011:27) that augmentatives are more offensive than diminutives. The collected data showed that some of the prefixes are diminutives (lu-, ka-/bu-, tu-,) and others are augmentatives (li-, ki-/bi-, gu-/ga-). Therefore diminution and augmentation have been given attention when discussing the meaning and interpretation for the prefixes. Unfortunately, little has been written on diminutives and augmentatives with specific reference to Luganda. For that reason, to come up with a more convincing academic discussion, general comments by different authors on diminutives and augmentatives have been of a great value. For example, Dressler and Merlini Barbaresi (1994:16, 144) assert that the denotative semantics of diminutives can be derived from the basic concept of smallness, but the general morpho-pragmatic meaning of diminutives is [non serious], which is metaphorically related to smallness. x Xydopoulos & Christopoulou (2011:3) view diminutives and augmentatives as derivational morphemes which are carriers of expressive meaning, literally denoting small or big in size, on top of attributing speaker-attitude features to the base. Data collection yielded a total of 108 text excerpts with the relevant prefixes, taken from 7 sources, i.e. (1) newspapers and comments relative to their news: 44/40.7%, (2) questionnaires: 27/25%, (3) YouTube songs and comments relative to them: 15/13.9%, (4) plays: 11/10.2%, (5) television news broadcast and comments relative to them: 8/7.4%, (6) films: 2/1.9%, and (7) radio news broadcast: 1/0.9%. The 108 text excerpts were annotated (glossed and translated) in TypeCraft, a multi-lingual online database consisting of linguistically-annotated natural language texts. The annotations are not meant to open gates for a morphological discussion, but rather to make the utterances more clear morphologically and more easy to understand for non-speakers of Luganda. Based on the results from the data (authentic uses and informants’ responses), I conclude that lu-, ka-/bu-, and tu- are diminutives carrying the encoded meaning attributed to the sense small (lu- has an extra meaning linked to the sense tall/long). They also give rise to various pragmatic meanings among which include derogatoriness, endearment and weak. The results also indicate that, li-, ki-/bi-, and gu-/ga- are augmentatives with a grammatically (semantically) encoded meaning of big, together with various pragmatically inferred meanings which can be contemptuous, endearing and powerful, among others.

Abstract:
This thesis is in the theoretical context of Word-Formation and examines grammatical and semantic categorization in Luganda, an East African Bantu language, in comparison with English and French. The study investigates how nouns and verbs are identified as well as verb-noun transposition in Luganda. With the help of an electronic journalistic corpus from a Luganda daily, this research presents an analysis more specifically regarding the formation of de-verbal agent nouns and the corresponding morphological paradigms of suffixation. Descriptions of grammatical categories and derivational morphology are normally based on Indo-European languages. An attempt is made within the framework of Weak Lexicalism to verify if these explanations apply to Bantu languages as well

Ssembatya, Henry Hollan. "An analysis of the implementation of the integrated approach in a Luganda language classroom in Uganda." Thesis, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, 2017. http://hdl.handle.net/10948/14422.

Abstract:
This qualitative study set out to examine how the integrated approach to language teaching led to an enhancement in Luganda language practices in selected ordinary level secondary schools in the Kampala district of Uganda. The study was positioned within an interpretive paradigm, and employed a phenomenological approach in its intention to uncover the lived experiences and common hidden meanings that participants attached to the phenomena. Purposeful sampling was used to identify 30 teachers from 15 schools and 3 inspectors of school curricula who participated in the study. Data generation strategies included personal interviews and observations which were analyzed according to transcendental phenomenological data analysis methods such as bracketing, horizontalization, clustering into themes, textual description, structural description and textual-structural essence of the study. This study is located in the field of language education and informed by the theoretical framework of the cognitive constructivist theory of learning. In terms of the integrated approach in a Luganda language classroom, the findings show firstly, that teachers held positive perceptions towards the integrated approach in a Luganda language classroom and, as such, they perceived it as a basis for teaching language content and literacy practices collectively through various interactive strategies. Secondly, teachers implemented the integrated approach in a Luganda language classroom as a practical-based activity where learners are engaged in tasks which promote meaningful and real communication in the form of content, task-based instruction, literary texts or readers and contextual or experiential learning. Thirdly, findings on the enhancement of language practices in an integrated Luganda language classroom show that if teachers adopted and implemented the principles of the integrated approach, learners would be motivated to acquire not only the four language practices, but also other related practices such as cognitive, social and interpersonal practices which collectively simplify the language use. Lastly, while teachers are aware of what learners could achieve in an integrated Luganda language classroom, findings indicate that they are demotivated by the many challenges in the implementation process which stem from the teachers, the education system, the learners, and the integrated approach itself. The major implications and recommendations of this study’s findings include: firstly, teachers’ perceptions on the use of the integrated approach in a Luganda language classroom imply that since language learning is a function of social and meaningful classroom interactions learning activities should recognize a teacher as a reflective practitioner, consultant or facilitator of learning rather than an instructor. Secondly, the implementation of the integrated approach in a language classroom would require teachers to be grounded in both practical and theoretical instructional strategies which form a basis for monitoring and engaging learners’ oral and interactive practices. Thirdly, the enhancement of language practices is an outcome of classroom motivation and active interactions which involve creative and critical thinking. Thus, creating and sustaining situations for the enhancement of language practices in a language classroom would require effective branding of learners’ interactive activities with ample opportunities for practice as well as instructional support. Fourthly, considering the perceived challenges in the implementation of the integrated approach, the overall recommendation would be that those challenges need to be resolved if the integrated approach is to be successfully implemented in the context of the Luganda language. An awareness of such challenges provides teachers, educators and policy-makers with insightful ideas in terms of how to manage or change instructional strategies in the classroom.

Abstract:
Thesis (PhD)--Stellenbosch University, 2013.
ENGLISH ABSTRACT: If they don’t come out clearly to show us the true picture of different areas, it means that some areas that do not get the weather forecast cannot profit from their farming activities. This pushes our country into more poverty. If an agency can be identified and charged with the responsibility to disseminate the forecast to the various parts of the country, it would greatly help the farmers and Uganda as a country to develop. These are the words of a participant at one of fifteen Ugandan farmer group meetings that were convened and asked to discuss a tape-recorded seasonal weather forecast, following their own rules of procedure. The audio recordings and transcriptions of these meetings, which are in Luganda, form the object of inquiry for this study. Using a multi-perspective approach to spoken discourse analysis, this study investigates manifestations and patterns of participation and decision-making as they emerge through evaluation and appraisal in the context of participatory community development processes. Taking the discourse of farmer group meetings as a genre of business meetings, where the public is included in decision-making interactions between government and citizens, the study invokes the appraisal theory, genre analysis theory, citizenship talk analysis model, and the business-meeting negotiation approach to explore how participants use Luganda to express assessment and make decisions during interactive discourse. The study identifies three main styles of making decisions, which demonstrate a culturally constructed concept of participation in Luganda. Whereas subtle decision-making involves spontaneous group positions that are not formally announced as a decision, explicit decision-making manifests positions that are overtly announced by a participant. Virtual decision-making involves intermittent moves towards a group position. While some meetings have moderators, several others have the role of moderator performed by various participants. Indeed, in several cases participants take turns to speak in a spontaneous way, without having to seek the permission of the moderator. Despite the difference in styles of decision-making, the overarching goal of participation in this genre of Luganda discourse is to reach consensus and to demonstrate a collective identity. This goal however does not take away the right and freedom of participants to reason critically, negotiate for a position, express conflict, and to question authority. This study breaks the ground for further research into areas of evaluation, intercultural communication, forensic linguistics, professional discourse, and other fields of applied linguistics in Ugandan languages, as well as in other African languages.

Abstract:
This research is a sociolinguistic study that looks at the use of Luruuri, a minority language spoken in the Lake Kyoga basin and Luganda, a majority language spoken in central Uganda. It analyses the relationship between language management and maintenance, investigating both official and non-official language management. The main aim of the study was to question the role of language policy and planning in language maintenance, especially in maintaining languages in a stable multilingual setting. The study follows the formal/traditional language policy and planning frameworks and the theory of language management inspired by the work of Bernard Spolsky (2009). Data was obtained through field work in Uganda, where various sociolinguistic research methods including ethnographic, sociolinguistic and linguistic analytical methods were employed. Data was analysed qualitatively in order to ascertain their sociolinguistic position and use. Findings revealed increased prestige and status awarded to English, the language of all official communications, while local languages lack such functions. It also revealed increased dominance of majority languages over less used languages especially in the public domains which has impacted on the maintenance of such languages. Although local languages performed well in cultural-identity functions, they were affected by increased negative attitudes by especially the younger generation. All such cases as elaborated in the study indicated difficulty in maintaining languages and stable multilingualism. Strategies to restore the language situation, including macro-level planning strategies to supplement grassroots language planning and maintenance, a multilevel language planning and policy strategy to promote the multi-glossic language use structures that exist in the language communities and prestige planning in order to restore the prestige of African languages, de-cultivate the negative attitudes and ideologies while sensitising the masses on the importance of policy changes and the likely effects of the current status quo are recommended.

Abstract:
I), tagalog (chap. Ii), kinyarwanda (chap. Iii) et luganda (chap. Iv).
This thesis tends to demonstrate two points : - a number of concomitant formal elements is necessary for the communication of the different information conveyed by language, a phenomenon which is described here as "superimposition of markers"; - the fact that syntax imposes categorizations of the real world in the field of "designations" and "relations" as well as "formulations" (pottier), results in "semantics of syntax" (hagege). The first two sections discuss the semantics of parts of speech. The first section studies the distribution of parts of speech in the palauan (chapter i), tagalog (chapter ii), kinyarwanda (chapter iii) and luganda languages (chapter iv). The second section discusses the phenomena of valencies and orientations, another aspect of the semantics of parts of speech : the concept of orientation is applied to nouns (chapter vii) and subordinate propositions (or their equivalents) (chapter ix). The semantics of relations are discussed in the third section, which presents a fairly extensive analysis of the functional systems of the palauan (chapter xi) and tagalog languages (chapter xii), in the context of the theory of "superimposi- tion of markers" (chapter x), which will also be applied to the field of morpho- phonemics (chapter xiii). A number of specific problems are considered : - the value of the morpheme a, the so-called "hypothetical" form in palauan; - the value of the verbal affixes in tagalog and palauan; - the value of the initial vowel and the place of locative class markers in the bantu languages (kinyarwanda and luganda). The following general linguistic problems are also developed : - the verb-noun opposition, the distinction between noun and substantive; - phenomena of transferring, government, valency, lexicases; - the relation between cases, roles and statement hierarchy;- ethnocentricity in theories and descriptions

Abstract:
This PhD work is part of an ethno-pharmacological approach to enhance plant used in traditional medicine in Mozambique. The aim of this work is to elucidate major metabolites through a chemo-taxonomic approach and clarify the phytochemical composition of plant used in traditional medicine, leading potentially to new molecules of therapeutical interest. The work is thus cut into three parts, each focusing on a different plant. The Part 1describes the phytochemical study of dry roots of Ptaeroxylon obliquum Radlk (Rutaceae). The phytochemical study of the chloroform extract of the roots of P. obliquum resulting in the isolation of five compounds belonging to coumarin or chromone. A totally original meroterpenoid chromone was then isolated and elucidated: the Ptaerobliquol. Structures of these metabolites were elucidated by various analytical techniques (NMR, mass spectrometry) and X-ray diffraction.Part 2 focuses on the phyto-chemical study of bark tubers of Pyrenacantha kaurabassana (Icacinaceae). Few phytochemical data were available about this plant in the litterature. Screening of metabolites was so carried out, showing the preponderant presence of compounds belonging to the family of quinones and flavonoids. The study of the ethyl acetate extract of the bark of tuber resulted in the isolation and identification of four metabolites, including two totally original, belonging to the family of xanthones. Finally, Part 3 focuses on the phytochemical study of stems of Monadenium lugardiae or Euphorbia lugardiae (Euphorbiaceae). Fractionnation of the chloroform extract of the stemshas led to the isolation and identification of two metabolites never described in this plant, jolkinolide B, the Hélioscopinolide F, together with scopoletin

Abstract:
Through this thesis I explore how a train station can serve as the platform for an experience that is more profound than simply coming and going, and instead can provide a moment that allows travelers to appreciate the location that they are traveling to or from. A train station is almost uniquely positioned to serve as the first or last building any train traveler encounters in a city, serving as the gateway to the modern city. This presents an opportunity where the station itself will have a direct influence on a traveler's initial or final experience of the city. And so, I propose a station that, through its architecture and relationship to the site, provides the traveler a space where they can stop, look, and take in the view of the city from which they are about to depart or at which they are just now arriving. It allows those new to the city to get an understanding of the basic urban layout and its relationship to its surroundings. It becomes a destination in itself, that allows the local population to regain knowledge of their city and to reinterpret what they already know about their home.

Abstract:
Colonial administration evolved a lot through centuries, and Indirect rule is one of the most representative of the British one. As such, it is interesting to look at the reasons and the issues of the particular system of government, as well as the particularities linked to Indirect rule in the facts. This analysis will be more specifically about how Indirect rule worked in Nigeria, as well as its diffusion through the British colonial empire in Africa. In order to complete the study, Indirect rule will also broached from a theoretical point of view, in particular regarding the evolution of how historians of law considered it. Moreover, its specificities will be observed, in particular by comparing indirect rule with other Europeans colonial governments

Abstract:

Full text
Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

This study aimed to investigate to what extent Lugang students'' first language interfered with their English pronunciation. It was intended to find out (1) these students'' main English pronunciation problems and (2) how their mother tongue facilitates or hinders their English pronunciation. The subjects in this study were 76 Lugang students in their second and third grade at Lugang Junior High School, 38 students from each grade. They were selected based on: (1) they had lived in Lugang since they were born; (2) Lugang Southern Min was their first language and used it most often, except in the school setting. Two types of instruments were prepared for use in this study: (1) students'' questionnaires and teachers'' questionnaires; (2) a reading text. Students'' questionnaires were to investigate their attitudes and experiences in learning English pronunciation. Teachers'' questionnaires were to understand the current conditions of English pronunciation. The reading text is used for oral production, including a word list, five simple sentences, a dialogue, and a passage. Each subject'' pronunciation was assessed by three native speakers of English teachers, two non-native English, and I. The subjects'' pronunciation errors were classified into six types. Each phoneme was discussed in three aspects: its error rate in different position (in word-initial, word-medial, and word-final positions); its order of difficulty; "common substitutes" supplemented with plausible explanations. The study showed that first language interference accounted for 86.14% of the subjects'' errors, while the developmental process accounted for 10.08%. Only 2.70% of the pronunciation errors were intralingual. The last 1.07% of errors belonged to performance mistake. The results revealed that transfer from the mother tongue was obviously a major source of Lugang students'' difficulty in English pronunciation. Language transfer effects did occur, but not in the classical CA (Contrastive Analysis) absolute "all or nothing" fashion. The result confirmed the evidence in interlanguage phonology that some sounds and rules often caused interference while others seldom did. In conclusion, the phonological system of Lugang Southern Min was different from that of English. Some English phonemes did not have their counterparts in Lugang Southern Min and were hard to learn, such as /T, Z, D, Î, Q/. Others resembled their Lugang Southern Min counterparts but were not identical to them in pronunciation and thus caused confusion, such as /e, i, u, o/. Besides, the different phonotactic constraints in Lugang Southern Min and English also resulted in Lugang students'' difficulty, such as consonant clusters, NVN syllables, and poly-syllabic words.

The systemically operative actions of general communities have been put into practice fiery among Taiwan; however, most of the people had a little understanding in how to operate a community and how to activate it. As if leading the elderly into the modern cyber-world, in this article authors tried to introduce the simple concepts of current community operation modes to the populations assembling the general community Tou-Nan Village, Lugang Township, including three areas, Tou Village, Nan-Shih Village and Shen-Ciao Village are selected for in-depth case studies. During the past two decades, some of the wealthy local people happened to be involved with the government. With sufficient financial support from enthusiastic local residents, the seeds of community reformation were introduced into Tou-Nan Village in these ten years. The government supply combined with the local cooperation altogether made a big change for the façade of the village. Especially in recent years, the endeavor of Tou-Nan Village had earned subsidies and emphasis from the government time and again, which greatly increased the public facilities. On the other hand, the other two villages in the same neighborhood still remained what they were just like two to three decades ago. Why was that? It is worthy for us to analyze from analogy, gather statistics and realize how to resolve the problems by means of(1)the culture background collection;(2)the actual environment investigation; and(3)the spot questionnaire to improve the atmosphere and scene of the village. The concept of “organic community” is elaborated here in three dimensions. First, the government and its related departments have to establish a single and straightforward connecting window toward people. Second, gradual formation of local leadership is a must. Third, resources mobilization is critical to the growth of local initiative. With such clear-cut thoughts and concepts, great strides could be made in community building. Participation of residents is critical in make neighborhood into an utopia.

Activities related to Chi-Niang-Ma pavilions are important folklore traditions at Lukang, a famous town with a small population of less than 100,000 people. On the special day of Chi-Shi (i.e., the lunar seventh evening of July), Lukang people will prepare tributes to worship Chi-Niang-Ma, a female god who has long been regarded by Lukang people as the protection god for children and teenagers. In addition, to show their respect and thankfulness to Chi-Niang-Ma on that day, Lukang people will also burn up Chi-Niang-Ma pavilions, each of the sculptures representing a palace for Chi-Niang-Ma to live in. In recent years, Chi-Niang-Ma pavilions which are originally an aesthetic art in paper-pasted format have been replaced by that in paper-printed format. In view of the decline of this traditional custom and its associated craft, we raced to interview artists and craftspeople involving in the implementation of Chi-Niang-Ma pavilions and to observe their fabrication processes, hoping that this traditional art can be well documented and preserved. Moreover, we also investigated the cultural implication of Chi-Niang-Ma pavilions, hoping that the traditional activities pertaining to Chi-Niang-Ma pavilions can be well understood and be passed down to young generations.

First of all, via the investigation of relevant historical literature, this study explored the cause of religious pattern formation of Lugang Ga-tao temples(角頭廟) as well as its present conditions. Secondly, this study chose the worshipping sphere of Qian Qing Temple(乾清宮) at Lunziding(崙仔頂), Lugang as the research scope; Lunziding is located at the northeastern side of Lugang blocks, and it had already an embryonic form of settlement at the beginning of Qing Dynasty; the inhabitants are mainly of clan of Hsu (as surname); in early stages, the majority of the inhabitants were engaged in agriculture and work of physical labor; this study took the management committee of Qian Qing Temple, which was the religious center of the Ga-tao, and the inhabitants as the research subjects, utilized field study, interviews, and participant observation to keep records of Qian Qing Temple’s religious activities and interactive relationship with other temples. Finally, this study aimed at the religious belief cognition of inhabitants of Lunziding and their interactive relationship with Qian Qing Temple to do interpretation. The formation and development of Lugang Gao-tao temples reflect Lugang’s course of development, historical events, and clan distribution phenomenon. Generally speaking, the Ga-tao temple worshipping spheres within the blocks of Lugang nowadays maintain the scopes in the past, and the original Gao-tao temples at the fringes of the blocks have the phenomenon of shrinking worshipping spheres because of the new established Gao-tao temples in the neighborhood; besides the traditional religious rites, part of the Ga-tao temples combine the folk festivals to hold recreational activities. Presently part of Qian Qing Temple’s religious activities have been simplified in form, and only large-scale activities such as the deity’s birthday and secret night patrol remain. Qian Qing Temple’s interactive relationship with other temples has a fixed network; through the sequence of holy sedan chair, personnel contact and mutual gifts when the deity is doing patrolling, it can show the close or distant relationships among Ga-taos. Nowadays Qian Qing Temple provides the believers social intercourse and get-together as the major functions, and its scope of influence is not confined to the inhabitants within the Ga-tao; because of lacking the thinking mode that takes inhabitants as the starting point of activity, Qian Qing Temple does not bring into full play the effect on the interaction and blending of new and old inhabitants within the Ga-tao. Under the influence of external social transition factors such as administrative division rearrangement, inhabitants’ life style differences, and openness to politics and religion, the inhabitants’ will of participating in the general affairs and activities of the temple is weakened, resulting in the decrease of manpower and funding source that support the activities, and the gap on age of Qian Qing Temple management committee and members of organization of holy sedan chair lifting, being disadvantageous for the experience inheritance of religious culture.

Researching method based on open country investigation, document, and measuring to compare. The study aimed at Japanese Ding-a-ka structure’s vertical composition as belowed contents︰1. Vertical constructure proportion 2.Daughter wall or gable’s proportion 3.Wall and window’s proportion 4.bottom and top open’s proportion. Use composition division to analyze golden proportion and their relations. Research shows imatation Baroque’s constructure has lots of decoration, but it isn’t always equals proportion principles during dividing analysis. Vertical lines are not much, but the proportional composition looks corordinate if related site composed well. Imatation Baroque architechture emphasizes its symmetry, though the analysis is more simple and composition proportion isn’t quite big. A gable’s vertical constructure match building’s wide face more easily is due to its higher height, it also get fair division of triangle and line more easily. Sansia’s popular brick enabled various arch changes. It makes the common bottom open with multiple changes. After 1920, Chishan and Lugang started to use ferroconcrete. The distance between beams get bigger, so the beams are not supported by small beams.although it’s more convenient using, the bottom open and proportion become monotone or top-heavy vision. Word-City is a recreation or reconstruction of living space by words uttered by an author who blends his or her recollections of things past and present into texts. By studying Shi Shuquing's Walking Across Lojin, we can better understand where Lugang comes from. In Walking Across Lojin, Shi Shuqing relies very much on her childhood’s memories: her walks all around Lugang as well as the historical documents she has referred to in the novel, which is set in the Qing Dynasty. As a living space, Lugung's landscape is overloaded with human activities and memories through its long history of immigration. By studying and comparing its environment with the stories and memories described by Shi, we can not only understand more about Lugung in the Qing Dynasty but also about the town itself now in the 21th century. Based on such understanding, this thesis starts with an in-depth analysis of the novel, hoping to explain and analyze it from a more humanistic point of views, in which we could understand more about the forming of Taiwan traditional settlements: towns and villages in history, geography and society. In the future, my research can serve as a reference to historical block preservation, space plans and design of Taiwanese towns, etc.

Abstract:
Intellectual property, as creations of the mind, such as literary and artistic works, drawings, trademarks, inventions are currently proving to be of extreme importance. Its protection has undergone remarkable changes, as a result of both the variety of products and technologies covered by intellectual property rights and the phenomenon of international harmonization and unification. This study aims to analyze these changes and their implications within the framework of international law, in determining the applicable law and the jurisdiction, in the context of the progressive increase in cross-border conflicts involving intellectual property. In this regard, we perceive the existence of a problem arising directly from the application of the rules for determining international jurisdiction in the context of lis pendens and related actions, that Regulation (EU) n.º 1215/2012 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (Brussels I bis Regulation) and the Lugano Convention provide for: torpedo actions and negative declarations. The purpose of this research is to contribute to a reflection on international jurisdiction in intellectual property matters, taking into account the protection of the legitimate expectations of intellectual property right holders in the efficacious protection on a global scale.

Early agricultural land rezoning was handled before 1970, it’s been more than 40 years since rezoning, a different amount of scale in stretching of cadastral compared to original, resulting in connecting parcels of cadastral maps with each other. Due to limited measuring instruments, it’s not as precise as now, also some deviations because of the hand-drawling, resulting maps and books are inconsistent with the current scenario. The history of preserved area in the village within the rezoning, it was been used for non-agricultural purpose, it’s been directly portrayed in the new cadastral maps of tribal villages within area by using the old cadastral figure. The old cadastral maps are currently worn out and also because of the years plus the skills and instruments at that time was not that good, so it won’t be used for current measurement. To put an end to the argument, community, protect the rights of the people to view by Land Law 1 Article 46 of the; "have to do regional cadastral measurement if the original cadastral was damaged, loss, scale changes or other significant reasons.
