Abstract:

Učenici se sve više osećaju bespomoćno, potišteno i zlovoljno. Hajp kojem su svakodnevno izloženi često ih inficira, zaslepljuje i oduzima sva čula i kapacitete, zbog čega ne umeju da se okrenu pravim vrednostima. Mladi ljudi sebi nameću nerealne imperative zbog želje da se istaknu, da se dopadnu, da ostave neki trag, a ono što se nekada nazivalo osnovnim potrebama: redovna fizička aktivnost, druženje, čitanje, rad na sebi postaju luksuz. Samo istinski pedagozi mogu u mladom čoveku probuditi strast za potragom, istraživanjem, pokušajem da se nešto razume, samospoznajom. Strategija mnogih pedagoga je rad i borba, ili da određenom akcijom usmeravamo događaje ili reakcijom pokušavamo da ih prilagodimo. Razmišljamo, merimo, trudimo se da anticipiramo šta će određena akcija ili reakcija dalje da proizvedu. Pre dvanaest godina počela sam da radim kao profesor matematike u Tehničkoj školi ,,Ivan Sarić” u Subotici. Moji prvi koraci bili su bazirani na utopijskoj zamisli Jan Amos Komenskog: spasiti svet pomoću pansofije i privesti ga bogu kao izvoru celokupne mudrosti i svesnosti. Praktikovanje svesnosti i mudrosti je putovanje. Daje nam moć da vidimo daleko i duboko, daje nam nadljudsku snagu da volimo i kada deluje ludo to što činimo, daje nam mogućnost da prihvatimo sve što jesmo i ono što nismo. Nema recepta, nema prečice. Za svakoga je to drugačije i neponovljivo iskustvo, kao što smo i svi mi jedinstveni i neponovljivi.

Abstract:

Kuudesta parametrista muodostuvaa akustista äänenlaatuindeksiä (AVQI) käytetään äänihäiriöiden objektiiviseen arviointiin. Tämä tutkimus on alustava selvitys siitä, paljonko AVQI:in vaikuttavat äänitystaso, ympäristön taustakohina, puhujan puhetapa ja sukupuoli silloin, kun käytetään suositeltua äänityslaitteistoa. Näytteet tallennettiin kahdelta terveääniseltä (mies ja nainen) sekä äänihuulihalvauksesta (mies) ja toiminnallisesta äänihäiriöstä (nainen) kärsineeltä henkilöltä. Terveäänisten puhujien näytteet äänitettiin vaimennetussa studiossa. He lukivat lyhyen tekstin ja äänsivät [a:]-vokaalia 5 sekuntia itselleen tavanomaisella, sekä hiljaisella, voimakkaalla ja korkealla äänellä. Huonon äänitystason ja -ympäristön vaikutusten tarkastelua varten ääninäytteet soitettiin yksitiekaiuttimen kautta ja äänitettiin uudelleen studiossa (taustakohinataso 17,3 dBA) ja toimisto-olosuhteissa (taustakohinataso 34,4 dBA) kahdella äänitystasolla. Kaiuttimen kautta soitetuista näytteistä laskettiin AVQI. Tulosten mukaan äänitystaso, -tila ja sukupuoli vaikuttivat vain vähän AVQI-lukuun ja sen parametreihin. Eniten AVQI-lukua nosti häiriöinen äänenlaatu. Myös puhetapa vaikutti: hiljaisesti tuotetuissa ääninäytteissä terveääniset saivat äänihäiriöille tyypillisiä arvoja. AVQI:a käytettäessä on tärkeää kontrolloida, että puhujat tuottavat ääninäytteet itselleen tavanomaisella puhevoimakkuudella ja -korkeudella. Tämä on oleellista etenkin toistomittauksissa.

AbstractThe revitalization program initiated by the Peatland Restoration Agency of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the Disaster Study Center of LPPM Universitas Riau is now providing new livelihood alternatives through aquaculture by utilizing the potential of local fish. This effort is at the same time to fulfill the high demand for fish in Lukun Village which is not balanced with insufficient fishing catches. Slowly, people are starting to be interested in fish farming, although not yet wholeheartedly. The interest of rubber farmers in the cultivation of local peat swamps is part of maintaining the sustainability of peat as indicated by their involvement in every activity of maintenance, maintenance and manufacture of fish pellets. In addition, this type of livelihood does not interfere with or become a threat to peat so that when there are many interested rubber farmers it will not be a problem. In addition to being offered by cultivating fish farmers are also given training to be able to produce fish pellet materials independently in order to minimize the cost of fish feed at once if the excess yield can be marketed. Penelitian ini mengamati pola perubahan mata pencaharian petani karet pasca kebakaran di tahun 2015. Program revitalisasi yang digagas oleh Badan Restorasi Gambut Republik Indonesia bekerjasama dengan Pusat Studi Bencana LPPM Universitas Riau kini memberi alternatif mata pencaharian baru melalui budidaya perikanan dengan memanfaatkan potensi ikan lokal. Upaya ini sekaligus untuk memenuhi tingginya kebutuhan ikan di Desa Lukun yang tidak diimbangi dengan hasil tangkapan nelayan yang tidak mencukupi. Secara perlahan masyarakat mulai tertarik untuk budidaya ikan meskipun belum sepenuh hati. Ketertarikan petani karet terhadap budidaya ikan lokal rawa gambut merupakan bagian dari menjaga kelestarian gambut ditunjukkan dengan keterlibatan mereka dalam setiap kegiatan pemeliharaan, perawatan, dan pembuatan pelet ikan. Di samping itu jenis mata pencaharian ini tidak mengganggu atau menjadi ancaman bagi gambut sehingga apabila nantinya banyak petani-petani karet yang tertarik maka tidak akan menjadi sebuah masalah. Selain ditawarkan dengan membudidayakan ikan petani juga diberi pelatihan untuk dapat memproduksi bahan pelet ikan secara mandiri agar dapat meminimalkan biaya pakan ikan sekaligus bila berlebih hasilnya dapat dipasarkan.

Abstract:

Elite tourism appears in a number of selective forms of tourism (cultural, sports, etc.) and is therefore often conceptually defined differently (luxury, premium, high quality, specialised, alternative, transformative). Destinations that are oriented to added benefits for the client and the development of partnerships compete better in the market of elite tourism. In Croatian tourism, some destinations are called destinations of elite tourism. However, there are differences in the development of Croatian coastal destinations that strive for high quality tourism. The aim of this paper is to examine the attitudes of stakeholders of selected coastal cities on the level of development of elite tourism. The purpose of the research is to point out the necessary changes in the model of tourism development (due to the risk of negative externalities in the form of pollution, noise, congestion, difficulty of access to the destination, lack of ambience) which does not favour high paying tourists but directs them to other destinations. The attitudes of coastal destination stakeholders were examined using a combined data collection method (survey method and in-depth interview). The results of the research indicate the lack of balanced destination development in the tourist system. The assessors were the least unified about the destination offer variables regarding the value-added offer and service variable. The contribution of the paper is recommendations to the public and private sector, as well as to the local population in order to improve the segment of luxury offers and reflect on the implementation of global tourism initiatives.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT The binding of the S component (LukS-PV) from the bicomponent staphylococcal Panton-Valentine leucocidin to human polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) and monocytes was determined using flow cytometry and a single-cysteine substitution mutant of LukS-PV. The mutant was engineered by replacing a glycine at position 10 with a cysteine and was labeled with a fluorescein moiety. The biological activity of the mutant was identical to that of the native protein. It has been shown that LukS-PV has a high affinity for PMNs (K d = 0.07 ± 0.02 nM, n = 5) and monocytes (Kd = 0.020 ± 0.003 nM,n = 3) with maximal binding capacities of 197,000 and 80,000 LukS-PV molecules per cell, respectively. The nonspecifically bound molecules of LukS-PV do not form pores in the presence of the F component (LukF-PV) of leucocidin. LukS-PV and HlgC share the same receptor on PMNs, but the S components of other staphylococcal leukotoxins, HlgA, LukE, and LukM, do not compete with LukS-PV for its receptor. Extracellular Ca2+ at physiological concentrations (1 to 2 nM) has only a slight influence on the LukS-PV binding, in contrast to its complete inhibition by Zn2+. The down-regulation by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) of the binding of LukS-PV was blocked by staurosporine, suggesting that the regulatory effect of PMA depends on protein kinase C activation. The labeled mutant form of LukS-PV has proved very useful for detailed binding studies of circulating white cells by flow cytometry. LukS-PV possesses a high specific affinity for a unique receptor on PMNs and monocytes.

Jalostettavista ominaisuuksista 6 (gradeerausominaisuudet: eläimen koko, värin puhtaus, värin tummuus, massakkuus, peittävyys ja laatu) mitataan eläviltä eläimiltä ja 4 (nahkalajitteluominaisuudet: nahan koko, värin tummuus, värin puhtaus ja laatu) kuivatuista nahoista. Koon ja laatuominaisuuksien lisäksi jalostetaan pentuekokoa ja luonnetta. MTT:llä alkoi vuonna 2002 projekti, jonka lopputuloksena uudistettiin SAMPO:ssa käytettävät jalostusarvostelumallit. Vanhassa arvostelussa kaikille ominaisuuksille käytettiin samaa mallia, jossa ainoa kiinteä tekijä oli tila-vuosi ja ainoat satunnaistekijät jalostusarvo ja jäännöstekijä. Pentuekoossa havaintona käytettiin naaraan kaikkien pentuehavaintojen keskiarvoa, kuitenkin niin, että ensimmäistä pentuekokoa kasvatettiin 20 %. Kaikkien ominaisuuksien periytymisasteeksi oletettiin 0.20. Uudessa arvostelussa gradeerausominaisuuksien malliin lisättiin kiinteiksi tekijöiksi sukupuoli, syntymäajankohta ja emän ikä. Lisäksi pentue lisättiin uudeksi satunnaistekijäksi. Nahkalajitteluominaisuuksien malliin tehdyt muutokset vastasivat gradeerausominaisuuksilla tehtyjä muutoksia, lukuun ottamatta sukupuolta. Kaikkien laatu- ja koko-ominaisuuksien jalostusarvot lasketaan eläinmallilla. Pentuekoon malliin lisättiin uusiksi kiinteiksi tekijöiksi naaraan ikä, paritustapa ja paritusten lukumäärä. Uusiksi satunnaistekijöiksi lisättiin pentue ja naaraan pysyvät ympäristövaikutukset joten uudessa arvostelussa pentuekoon jalostusarvot lasketaan toistuvuuseläinmallilla. Luonteen malli jätettiin vähäisen aineiston vuoksi toistaiseksi ennalleen. Periytymisasteissa tapahtuneet muutokset olivat nahan kokoa, pentuekokoa sekä värin tummuutta lukuun ottamatta maltillisia. Eläinten keskinäisessä paremmuusjärjestyksessä tapahtuneet muutokset olivat suurimmat pentuekoossa.

Artykuł ma na celu zbadanie materialnego wymiaru życia ukraińskich elit ekonomicznych w latach dwudziestych i trzydziestych XX wieku. Implementacja ideologii komunistycznej spowodowała zmianę w nastawieniu państwa i społeczeństwa do życia codziennego oraz świata dóbr materialnych. W zaistniałych okolicznościach bogactwo i luksus, stanowiące wartość definiującą świat materialny każdej grupy z wyższych sfer, powinny były stracić swoją ważność. Tenże aspekt świata ukraińskich elit gospodarczych pod rządami NEP i wczesnego stalinizmu zachował wszystkie oznaki przynależności do wyższych warstw społecznych. Głównym obiektem niniejszej analizy są dwie grupy społeczne: prywatni przedsiębiorcy (nepmen) oraz zarządcy państwowych przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych, sowieccy czerwoni dyrektorzy.Istotnym punktem pracy jest zdefiniowanie cech bogactwa w czasach radzieckich. Ponadto, w tekście wyłaniają się również inne ważne do poruszenia kwestie, to jest: nakreślenie obrazu materialnego świata ukraińskiej elity gospodarczej w latach dwudziestych i trzydziestych XX w., wyznaczenie różnic w pozycji społecznej różnych jej przedstawicieli, określenie jakie dobra kontrybuowały w tworzeniu ekskluzywnego życia codziennego przedsiębiorców oraz dyrektorów przemysłu radzieckiego. Autorka zadaje pytanie o to, czy możliwe jest stworzenie pewnego rodzaju przepisu na zdobycie bogactwa w czasach radzieckich okresu międzywojennego.W rzeczywistości, osobista i społeczna tożsamość elit ekonomicznych w latach dwudziestych i trzydziestych XX w. definiowana była przez dostęp do określonego zestawu dóbr i usług, które podkreślały status ich właścicieli. Przeciwne zdanie wyrażają niektórzy z badaczy, którzy sugerują konieczność zwrócenia uwagi na niematerialne aspekty jako kluczową cechę projektu sowieckiego jako całości. Ze względu na tą dwojakość poglądów dobrze usytuowane grupy konsumenckie społeczeństwa radzieckiego mogą być interesującym, kontrowersyjnym obszarem badawczym, którego badanie doprowadzić może do zrozumienia w jaki sposób ideały równościowe realizowane były w praktyce.W latach dwudziestych i trzydziestych XX w. pojawiła się nowa klasa społeczna, a wraz z nią charakterystyczna dla niej kultura konsumpcyjna. Zarówno nepmeni, jak i czerwoni dyrektorowie przypisywali rzeczom tą samą wartość materialną. Niemniej obie z tych grup dochodziły do bogactwa w inny sposób. Prywatni przedsiębiorcy zdobywali pewne dobra materialne drogą zakupu, podczas gdy radzieccy kierownicy otrzymywali je za pośrednictwem systemu państwowej dystrybucji lub pomocy socjalnej. Okoliczności te sprawiły, że w ich koszyku konsumenckim znalazły się nie tylko przedmioty codziennego użytku, ale również obiekty bardziej trwałe – nieruchomości, pojazdy oraz inny dobytek.Podsumowując, obiekty materialne – symbole luksusu i bogactwa, były niesamowicie cenne dla elit ekonomicznych tamtych lat. Odróżniały one te grupy od innych warstw społeczeństwa radzieckiego. Ich konsumpcja sygnalizowała przynależność do grupy i stanowiła jej gwarant. Lata dwudzieste i trzydzieste XX w. były okresem, w którym deficyt towarów oraz ich zamknięta dystrybucja uczyniły przedmioty codziennego użytku przedmiotami luksusowymi, dostępnymi jedynie dla wyższych warstw. Priorytet gromadzenia bogactwa, jako cechy charakterystycznej dla elit, doprowadził do powstania uprzywilejowanej grupy społeczeństwa radzieckiego, wywodzącej swoje korzenie z posiadania dóbr i własności.

Abstract Background The presence of the binary Panton-Valentine Leukocidin (PVL) toxin in Staphylococcus aureus has been associated with both severe pneumonia and skin and soft-tissue infections. However, there is only limited data on how this virulence factor impacts S. aureus bacteremia and whether it might affect the clinical course or complications of bacteremic infections. Methods Between September 2016 and March 2018, a convenience sample of S. aureus isolates from clinical cultures obtained in inpatient units and the Emergency Departments of UMass Memorial Medical Center underwent comprehensive genomic sequencing. Four hundred sixty-nine (29%) of 1,681 S. aureus sequenced isolates were identified as containing the LukF and LukSPV genes that encode for PVL. Case patients with one or more positive blood cultures for LukF/LukSPV + strains were randomly matched with control patients having positive blood cultures for LukF/LukSPV− strains for a retrospective chart review. Results The 55 case and 56 control patients were comparable in age and gender; case patients were more likely to have a history of injection drug use, while controls more likely to undergo hemodialysis or have had indwelling IV catheters. Case patients more commonly had chest pain and more prolonged fever; but had the same incidence of sepsis and septic shock. Isolates from 42 (76%) of case patients were methicillin resistant as compared with 16 (29%) from control patients. Elevations in serum creatinine and alkaline phosphatase were more common in control patients. Case patients had a higher incidence of pneumonia, with no differences seen in the incidence of endocarditis, osteomyelitis, or septic arthritis. The percentage of patients who were clinically cured or expired were comparable. Conclusion These results are consistent with prior observations associating the PVL toxin with community-acquired MRSA strains as well as severe staphylococcal pneumonia. However, it does not appear to otherwise influence the natural history of bacteremic S. aureus disease other than in prolonging the duration of fever. Abstract:

The Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) is the standard key management scheme for the full disk encryption solution implemented in Linux-based operating systems. It is composed of PBKDF2, an anti-forensic splitter, and a cipher. In this paper, a new FPGA-based high-throughput and pipelined implementation of LUKS is presented. We design a four-stage pipelined SHA-1 module without the multiplexers between piecewise function and a total eight-stage pipelined PBKDF2 by reusing two hash results. Besides, we implement ST box-based AES decipher with BRAM resources, which improves the performance and leaves most of the slice resources to PBKDF2 architecture. By using the above techniques, we instantiate a high throughput LUKS co-processor in a Xilinx Zynq 7030 FPGA. Compared to the previous work of implementation of LUKS PBKDF2 with AES on FPGA, our design shows better improvement of the speed and efficiency by 16 times and 8 times, respectively. Our speed of LUKS key recovery is even faster than Nvidia GPU GTX480.

Abstract:

Toxins produced by community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) contribute to virulence. We developed a statistical approach to determine an optimum sequence of antimicrobials to treat CA-MRSA infections based on an antimicrobial’s ability to reduce virulence. In an in vitro pharmacodynamic hollow fiber model, expression of six virulence genes (lukSF-PV, sek, seq, ssl8, ear, and lpl10) in CA-MRSA USA300 was measured by RT-PCR at six time points with or without human-simulated, pharmacokinetic dosing of five antimicrobials (clindamycin, minocycline, vancomycin, linezolid, and trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (SXT)). Statistical modeling identified the antimicrobial causing the greatest decrease in virulence gene expression at each time-point. The optimum sequence was SXT at T0 and T4, linezolid at T8, and clindamycin at T24–T72 when lukSF-PV was weighted as the most important gene or when all six genes were weighted equally. This changed to SXT at T0–T24, linezolid at T48, and clindamycin at T72 when lukSF-PV was weighted as unimportant. The empirical p-value for each optimum sequence according to the different weights was 0.001, 0.0009, and 0.0018 with 10,000 permutations, respectively, indicating statistical significance. A statistical method integrating data on change in gene expression upon multiple antimicrobial exposures is a promising tool for identifying a sequence of antimicrobials that is effective in sustaining reduced CA-MRSA virulence.

Background/Aims: LukS-PV is a component of Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL). We have previously demonstrated that LukS-PV potently promoted differentiation and induced apoptosis in THP-1 cells. However, the precise mechanisms of these actions remain unknown. MicroRNAs (miRs) play important roles in cellular differentiation and apoptosis. This study aimed to investigate the role of miR-125a-3p in LukS-PV-regulated differentiation and apoptosis and its underlying mechanism in THP-1 cells. Methods: MicroRNA profiling analyses were conducted to determine differential miRNA expression levels in THP-1 cells treated with LukS-PV. Cell differentiation and apoptosis were measured in THP-1 cells by gain-of-function and loss-of-function experiments. Bioinformatics analysis and luciferase reporter assays were used to confirm the targets of miR-125a-3p. The effects of the miR-125a-3p targets on cellular differentiation were determined by knocking them down. Results: MiR-125a-3p was up-regulated after treating the human monocytic leukaemia cell line THP-1 with LukS-PV. In addition, miR-125a-3p positively regulated apoptosis and differentiation in THP-1 cells treated with LukS-PV. Concordantly, luciferase reporter assays confirmed that neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) were direct target genes of miR-125a-3p. Moreover, NF1 knockdown in THP-1 cells significantly promoted differentiation in vitro. Finally, the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathway, a downstream target of NF1, was activated after NF1 knockdown. Conclusions: These findings confirm that miR-125a-3p is involved in LukS-PV-mediated cell differentiation and apoptosis in THP-1 cells.

The protection of onions from the weeds and their negative impact in the field production is one of the most important measures. The onion is exceptionally succeptible to the weeds, especially in the first phases of the growth, considering the weak initial growth of the crop in comparison with the weeds. The seasonal dynamics of the onion weeds is not so noticeable like with the other crops, while the weeds that appear most frequently are: Amaranthus blitoides, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Chenopodium album, Cirsium arvense, Convolvulus arvensis, Cynodon dactylon, Datura stramonium, Portulaca oleracea, Setaria glauca and Stellaria media. The chemical control measures mean the herbicide use before or after the emergence of the crop and the weeds. Before the emergence the herbicides based on aclonifen and pendimethaline can be used, while after the emergence herbicides based on fluroxypir, clopyralid, fluazifop-P-butyl, clethodim, quizalofop-P-ethyl, quizalofop-P-tefuryl and propaquizafop are used.

ABSTRACT In this study, the binding of F components of the staphylococcal bicomponent leukotoxins Panton-Valentine leucocidin (LukF-PV) and gamma-hemolysin (HlgB) on polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs), monocytes, and lymphocytes was determined using labeled mutants and flow cytometry. Leukotoxin activity was evaluated by measuring Ca2+ entry or pore formation using spectrofluorometry or flow cytometry. Although HlgB had no affinity for cells in the absence of an S component, LukF-PV had high affinity for PMNs (dissociation constant [K d ], 6.2 ± 1.9 nM; n = 8), monocytes (K d , 2.8 ± 0.8 nM; n = 7), and lymphocytes (K d , 1.2 ± 0.2 nM; n = 7). Specific binding of HlgB was observed only after addition of LukS-PV on PMNs (K d , 1.1 ± 0.2 nM; n = 4) and monocytes (K d , 0.84 ± 0.31 nM; n = 4) or after addition of HlgC on PMNs, monocytes, and lymphocytes. Addition of LukS-PV or HlgC induced a second specific binding of LukF-PV on PMNs. HlgB and LukD competed only with LukF-PV molecules bound after addition of LukS-PV. LukF-PV and LukD competed with HlgB in the presence of LukS-PV on PMNs and monocytes. Use of antibodies and comparisons between binding and activity time courses showed that the LukF-PV molecules that bound to target cells before addition of LukS-PV were the only LukF-PV molecules responsible for Ca2+ entry and pore formation. In contrast, the active HlgB molecules were the HlgB molecules bound after addition of LukS-PV. In conclusion, LukF-PV must be linked to LukS-PV and to a binding site of the membrane to have toxin activity.

U radu je dan pregled materijala i specifičnosti izrade automobilskih navlaka u prometalima. Naglasak je na prirodnoj koži koja predstavlja jedan od najluksuznijih materijala za izradu automobilskih navlaka. Obrađena su njezina svojstva, prednosti i nedostatci u odnosu prema tekstilnim materijalima. Jedan od najizazovnijih zadataka u izradi automobilskih navlaka jest kvaliteta odgovarajućeg šava. Posebna pozornost posvećena je krojenju i šivanju prirodne kože namijenjene automobilskim navlakama. Prirodna koža je specifičan prirodni materijal koji daje dozu luksuza automobilskim sjedalima i interijeru automobila. Njezina dugotrajnost, cijena i manja tržišna ponuda dovodi do manje primjene za automobilske navlake u odnosu prema tekstilnim materijalima, ali je zato iznimno poželjna. Prema dosadašnjim istraživanjima krojenje i šivanje kožnih automobilskih navlaka zahtijeva veću pozornost pri odabiru odgovarajuće kože, šivaćeg stroja, konca, igle i tipa šivanog šava, koji će dati zadovoljavajuća svojstva automobilskoj navlaci u svim njezinim segmentima. Ovaj rad pridonosi stručnim saznanjima i specifičnostima vezanim za prirodnu kožu, njezinu namjenu za automobilska sjedala te odgovarajuću kvalitetu šivanog šava.

Ulkopolitiikassa sen sijaan korostettiin jatkuvuutta. Koiviston tyyli kuvata tapahtumat muistelmissaan rauhallisina, vailla paniikkia ja kriisitunnelmia, on korostanut 1980-luvusta vallitsevaa vakauden vaikutelmaa. Muistelmissa heijastuu Koiviston ”matalan profiilin” poliittinen strategia 1980-luvun tapahtumahistorian kuvauksessa. Kansallisesta näkökulmasta vuosikymmen ei sisällä suurta dramatiikkaa syksyn 1981 presidentin virkakauden ennenaikaisen päättymisen ja syksyn 1989 kansainvälisten murrosten välisenä ajanjaksona, mutta 1980-lukua käsittelevä historiantutkimus heijastaa yhteiskunnan eri osa-alueilla tapahtuneita laaja-alaisia muutoksia. Tapahtuneiden muutosten hidastempoisuus on saanut muutokset näyttämään vakailta ja hallituilta, jolloin vuosikymmen näyttäytyy poikkeuksellisen kriisittömänä ajanjaksona Suomen 1900-luvun historiassa.

Suomessa tuotetaan monia keskeisiä maatalousraaka-aineita - viljaa, lihaa, maitoa, munia, vihanneksia ja marjoja. Kun Suomessa sijaitseva elintarviketeollisuus jalostaa nämä raaka-aineet elintarvikkeiksi, on kyse ns. Suomessa tuotetusta eli kotimaisesta ruoasta. Elintarvikkeiden tuotantoketjuun sisältyvien tuontipanoksien huomioon ottaminen muuttaa elintarviketuotannon kotimaisuuden kotimaisuusasteeksi tai tuonnin näkökulmasta tuontiasteeksi. Elintarviketuotannon ja elintarvikemarkkinoiden tuontiasteesta ei ole ollut aiemmin käytettävissä yksiselitteistä tutkimustietoa. Tutkimuksessa johdetaan elintarviketuotannon tuontipanosasteen ja elintarvikemarkkinoiden tuontiasteiden mittaustavat panos-tuotosmenetelmän avulla. Kotimaisen elintarviketuotannon tuontipanosasteen ja elintarvikemarkkinoiden tuontiasteen laskemisen tuloksia voidaan käyttää esimerkiksi huoltovarmuuden turvaamisen määrittelyyn. Myös normaalitilanteissa tuontiasteet ovat keskeisiä käsitteitä ja mittareita arvioitaessa elintarviketuonnin ja panostuonnin korvattavuutta kotimaisilla tuotteilla. Elintarvikeketjun toimialojen tuontipanosasteen selvittämisessä tutkimusmenetelmänä käytetään panos-tuotosmenetelmän tuotosmallia, jonka avulla selvitetään toimialojen tuotoksien olemassa olevilla riippuvuussuhteilla elintarviketuotannon alojen välilliset tuontipanosten määrät vuosina 2003–2008. Hankkeen toteutuksessa hyödynnetään Tilastokeskuksen (TK) koko maan panos-tuotosaineistoja, Tullin ulkomaankauppatilastoja sekä aiemmin tehtyjä selvityksiä elintarvikesektorin huoltovarmuudesta. Käytetyssä koko maan panos-tuotosaineistossa maataloutta analysoidaan neljän ja elintarviketeollisuutta yhdeksän toimialan tarkkuudella. Kun tarkasteluun otetaan huomioon myös valmiiden elintarvikkeiden tuonti, voidaan määrittää, mikä on elintarvikemarkkinoiden kokonaistuontiaste. Tulokset voidaan esittää vuosittain. Artikkelissa esitellään alustavia tuloksia vuosilta 2003–2007. Elintarvikealojen tuontipanosaste vaihteli Kasvi- ja eläinrasvojen jalostuksen noin 47 prosentista Maatalouden 12 prosenttiin vuonna 2007. Alkutuotannon ja palvelualojen tuontipanosasteet Muuta kotieläintaloutta lukuun ottamatta olivat alle kaikkien toimialojen tuontipanosasteen keskiarvon (24,6 %) sen sijaan elintarvikejalostuksen toimialat ylittivät keskiarvon Lihanjalostusta ja Meijerituotteita lukuun ottamatta. Elintarvikealojen tuontipanosasteiden nousua selitti pääsääntöisesti se, että niiden tuonnin arvot kasvoivat enemmän kuin tuotoksen arvot.

Artykuł wpisuje się w nurt badań o charakterze interdyscyplinarnym dotyczących dyskursu modowego w Polsce. Autorki zwracają uwagę na złożoność problematyki mody rozumianej z jednej strony jako dziedzina sztuki oraz filozofii, a z drugiej jako element komunikacji społecznej. Casus agencji BlackBalloon posłużył do wskazania i omówienia wyróżniających się współcześnie trendów oraz praktyk komunikacyjnych podejmowanych przez wybrane marki modowe w celu nawiązania relacji z otoczeniem. Redefinicja pojęcia luksusu, gloryfikowanie przeszłości (trend vintage), personalizacja produktów czy też strategia storytelling to zabiegi wykorzystywane przez agencję do budowania wizerunku i tożsamości danych marek modowych.
