Lis Møller: “For King and Fatherland – King Valdemar the Victorious in works by B.S. Ingemann and Agnes Slott-Møller”
This article offers a comparative reading of two fictionalized renditions in two different media of the Danish king Valdemar the Victorious (1170-1241): B.S. Ingemann’s historical novel Valdemar Seier (1826) and Agnes Slott-Møller’s cycle of historical paintings Valdemar Sejr (1927-1934). Focusing on Ingemann’s and Slott-Møller’s medievalism and their views on the nature and function of historical fiction and historical painting, respectively, the article argues that the

The first Greenlandic photographer, John Møller, produced over 3000 images in the period 1889-1922. This article seeks to analyse and contextualise selected images from Møller’s practice. In doing so, the article explores the photographer’s agency on composition choices, power dynamics and colonial hierarchies. Furthermore, the article suggests that Møller, through counternarratives in his visual representations, unveils nuanced reflections of power dynamics and a subtle critique and resistance that served to undermine the Danish colonial authority in Greenland.

In addition to the well-known Møller frame (or Rindler frame), we may construct another frame to describe the uniformly accelerating system. In the new frame, all "static" (i.e. spatial coordinates keeping constant) observers have the same proper acceleration but each has his own horizon. In contrast, the proper acceleration of a static observer in the Møller frame (or Rindler frame) depends on his position, but the horizon is (static-) observer-independent. We argue that the new uniformly accelerating reference frame is more suitable than the Møller frame to describe the system in an accelera

The Møller energy (due to matter and fields including gravity) distribution of the gamma metric is studied in teleparallel gravity. The result is the same as those obtained in general relativity by Virbhadra in the Weinberg complex and Yang–Radincshi in the Møller definition. Our result is also independent of the three teleparallel dimensionless coupling constants, which means that it is valid not only in the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity, but also in any teleparallel model.

In this paper we investigate Einstein, Landau–Lifshitz, Papapetrou, Weinberg, and Møller energy–momentum prescriptions in general spherically symmetric spacetimes. We show that for two special but not unusual classes of general spherically symmetric spacetimes, several energy–momentum prescriptions in Schwarzschild Cartesian coordinates lead to some coincidences in energy distribution. We also obtain that for a special class of spherically symmetric metrics Møller and Einstein energy–momentum prescriptions give the same result for energy distribution if and only if it has a specific dependence
