Purpose This paper aims to develop the Hybrid feature descriptor and probabilistic neuro-fuzzy system for attaining the high accuracy in face recognition system. In recent days, facial recognition (FR) systems play a vital part in several applications such as surveillance, access control and image understanding. Accordingly, various face recognition methods have been developed in the literature, but the applicability of these algorithms is restricted because of unsatisfied accuracy. So, the improvement of face recognition is significantly important for the current trend. Design/methodology/app

Flexible Manufacturing Systems-FMS is a term with various types of definitions, each of them trying to describe the complexity and the generalized features. One of these features is their complexity, along with difficulties in building models that capture the system in all its important aspects. In a heterogeneous flexible system, the scheduling events or actions could be a combinatorial problem which claims a particular solution. Manufacturing scheduling process, in special for FMS, is a very difficult scheduling problem, because involves all the aspects of the processes: order, resources, tr

The study focuses on the effect of mechanical properties and the carbon footprint due to the use of the biochar on traditional concrete. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) data demonstrates that the substitution of 1% of cement with WTBC leads to the reduction of CO2 emissions by 1%. On the other hand, 7% replacement, a whopping 7% reduction in CO2 emissions is realized. This means that there is a significant reduction from 291.15 kg/m³ of

Abstract Cobalt based alloys (Co-Cr-W-C) possess an attractive combination of corrosion resistance, erosion resistance and heat resistance properties. This property combination coupled with their low magnetic permeability values make them suitable for many flow components in the measurement and logging while drilling (M/LWD) systems in the oil and gas industry. However, flow components manufactured from investment cast Stellite 6 alloy (Co-Cr-W-C) have shown that they are susceptible to cracking under operating conditions due to the brittleness of the material and the complex geometry of these
