Hawaiian navigators oriented themselves without instruments by using a system based upon knowing where they came from and by having faith in the words of their ancestors. As a Hawaiian artist, I am embarking on a journey in which I orient myself in much the same way. When translated from our language, "ka wa ma mua" literally means "the time in front." However, in Hawaiian thinking, it describes the time that came before this time in which we live. In the same vein, "ka wa ma hope" literally means "the time in back" or from a Hawaiian perspective, the time which follows this time in which we live. "It is as if the Hawaiian stands firmly in the present, with his back to the future, and his eyes fixed upon the past, seeking historical answers for present-day dilemmas." (Kameʻeleihiwa, 1992) We Hawaiians view the world looking to that time that came before us because it is rich in knowledge. Looking to my ancestors and knowing the history of our people strongly influences how I view the world and contributes greatly to the forming of my relationship with it. I look to the past also to learn more about my Hawaiian identity. As a Hawaiian in today's world, I realize that part of the process requires that I engage in the task of decolonizing my mind. My thesis exhibition is an attempt to express through imagery one aspect of this decolonization. It is only one part of the process and one avenue of many through which an artist can express resistance to further erosion of our life ways. Looking to the past, recognizing that I was raised as a colonized person is one step towards better understanding the importance of my Hawaiian identity. Awareness of this part of my past is another step in the process of decolonization.<br>iii, 35 leaves

The migration of hardware functionality toward software is relentless. On the telemetry front, Data Bridges that take Pulse Code Modulated (PCM) signals and transform them to ubiquitous network packets make it all too easy. The need for expensive hardware such as the Decommutator (Decom), Frame Synchronizer, Digital Recorder, and Oscillograph Recorder (StripChart) will diminish sharply. Software Decom packages will feel the squeeze too, from homegrown Soft Decom software that is easier to maintain and has no licensing issues. This paper airs the dirty laundry associated with this hardware and software. Latencies and ugly temporal aberration that really plague an analyst. Also discussed is how a few packet/file formats eliminate the need for most of the hardware in a traditional telemetry data processing facility.

dessa cultura e das distintas abordagens sobre o Ma, como dito por Ando (2000):
Arquitetos japoneses, a exemplo de Ito Yotaro, Kiwari – Module of Traditional Japanese Architecture, 1961;
Isozaki Arata, Ma – nijunen ato no kikanten, (MA – Twenty Years On) e Kenmochi Takehiko, usam o termo Ma tanto
para indicar o espaço físico quanto uma espécie de espaço-tempo. A espacialidade Ma parece ser de frágil visualidade,
mas eminentemente comunicativa, ao convidar não só à participação perceptiva do ser humano que vivencia
a espacialidade, mas também sua memória e seu pensamento, pela relação do homem com a sociedade e a cultura.
(MICHIKO, 2007: p. 84).
O sentido japonês do Ma não é algo criado por uma composição de elementos, é algo que toma lugar no imaginário
do ser humano à medida que experimenta o vazio arquitetônico gerado pela composição desses elementos.
A existência de um conceito exclusivo da cultura oriental e intrínseco a vários gêneros artísticos instigaram a
investigação sobre esse tema. A partir de teorias ocidentais que auxiliassem a compreensão do espaço arquitetônico,
o presente trabalho busca compreender o conceito Ma e aproximar as distintas culturas.
Com esse objetivo de compreender propriamente o conceito do Ma em arquitetura e estudá-lo através do
método cientifico, foram analisadas obras do arquiteto contemporâneo Tadao Ando com o fim de exemplificar as
possíveis espacialidades Ma presentes nessas obras.<br>This study aims to comprehend the concept of Ma, inherent in the japanese culture, and to identify possible
spaces that could characterize this concept in Tadao Ando’s architectural production, through the study about this
culture and from different approaches about Ma, as said by Tadao Ando (2000):
Japanese architects, as Ito Yotaro, Kiwari - Module of traditional Japanese Architecture, 1961;Isozaki Arata,
Ma – nijunen ato no kikanten, (MA – Twenty Years On) and Kenmochi Takehiko, use the term Ma to indicate physical
space and also a kind of space-time. The spatiality of Ma seems to be of a fragile visualization, but eminently communicative,
when invites not only to the perceptive participation of human being that lives the spatiality, but also
your memory and your thought, through the relationship between man, society and culture. (MICHIKO, 2007: p. 84).
The Japanese sense of Ma is not something created by a composition of elements, it is something that takes
place in the imaginary of human being as he experience the architectural void created by the composition of these
elements.
The existence of an exclusive concept of the eastern culture and intrinsic of various artistic genders instigated
the inquiry about this theme. From the western theories that assisted the understanding of the architectural
void, this dissertation seeks to comprehend the concept of Ma and approximate these different cultures.
With this objective of properly comprehend the concept of Ma in architecture and study it through the scientific
method, different works of the contemporary architect Tadao Ando were studied in order to exemplify possible
spatialities of Ma present in these works.

Previous issue date: 2014<br>As discussões empreendidas sobre as práticas das avaliações externas no contexto da alfabetização tem apontado diferentes contribuições para o contexto escolar, a partir da leitura e discussão dos resultados produzidos, apontando como uma das possibilidades dessas práticas avaliativas encaminhamentos para a ressignificação das práticas pedagógicas alfabetizadoras. Trata-se de considerar, nesta dinâmica, a articulação entre o produto (resultados obtidos) e o processo (práticas pedagógicas) por meio de ações formativas em torno da avaliação diagnóstica, visando à reorientação do fazer docente. A partir dessa compreensão, a concepção de prática avaliativa que norteia a presente investigação fundamenta-se em um paradigma crítico que considera a especificidade do ato de avaliar como componente do fazer pedagógico, com fins de investigação e intervenção. Tomando como parâmetro as reflexões ora pontuadas, encaminhamos o foco do presente estudo para os processos formativos de professores alfabetizadores no campo da avaliação externa, de modo específico, a Provinha Brasil. Desse modo, o objetivo central da pesquisa é analisar as contribuições da Provinha Brasil para a reorganização das práticas pedagógicas alfabetizadoras, com vistas a garantir a aprendizagem dos alunos. As considerações teóricas desse estudo fundamentam-se em Soares (2004a, 2004b, 2005), Ferreiro e Teberosky (1999), Kleiman (1995, 1998), Mortatti (2004, 2008), dentre outros para discutir as categorias alfabetização e letramento; em Esteban (2002, 2008, 2009), Barriga (2008), Afonso (2009), Luckesi (20011a, 2011b), Perrenoud (1999), Villas Boas (2008, 2011), para discutir avaliação educacional. A trajetória metodológica da pesquisa fundamenta-se na abordagem qualitativa, utilizando a pesquisa-ação como metodologia de pesquisa para o diagnóstico, planejamento e realização das ações interventivas, bem como a avaliação das ações realizadas na pesquisa, cujas reflexões teóricas fundamentam-se em Barbier (2007), Dionne (2007), Thiollent (2009), Franco (2005). Os dados produzidos foram analisados a partir de uma abordagem descritivo-interpretativa dos achados da pesquisa, com base na organização de dois eixos de análise: 1. Saberes e práticas das professoras alfabetizadoras e 2. Aprendendo com a prática avaliativa da Provinha Brasil. Pesquisamos a prática pedagógica de duas alfabetizadoras que atuam no 2º ano do Ensino Fundamental, na rede pública municipal de Caxias-MA. O diagnóstico inicial da pesquisa nos revelou a ausência de conhecimentos sobre a prática avaliativa da Provinha Brasil, fator este que nos encaminhou para uma ação interventiva de leitura e análise dos resultados dos testes 01 e 02 do referido instrumento. A análise do percurso investigativo destaca que, entre os muitos fios que tecem a prática pedagógica, as professoras revelam a avaliação da aprendizagem como elemento central da contribuição da Provinha Brasil para a reorganização de suas práticas, ressaltando o caráter formativo da Provinha Brasil, para além da avaliação diagnóstica. Confirmamos, portanto, que a articulação entre os resultados obtidos pelas avaliações externas e as práticas pedagógicas, realizadas em ações formativas, possibilita a reorganização do fazer pedagógico.

Previous issue date: 2015<br>Esta dissertação analisa os desafios da produção nos assentamentos de reforma agrária no Maranhão, particularizados na Microrregião de Chapadinha ? MRH, no Maranhão. A dinâmica regional ali estabelecida se dá mediante forte investimento de empresas capitalistas vinculadas ao mercado global de circulação de mercadorias, privilegiada pelo atual momento da economia brasileira que se submete ao mercado de commodities. É forte a presença da agricultura camponesa, que apesar de importante na economia local, situa-se à margem do crescimento econômico acima mencionado. Este segmento é representado pelos assentamentos de reforma agrária e comunidades de agricultores tradicionais. A participação do estado se mostra determinante para ambos os setores que recebem parte deste tratamento desigual. Para os camponeses existe forte descontinuidade dos programas e insuficiência das principais políticas, notadamente daquelas dependentes da assistência técnica e do crédito agrícola. O estudo constata que a fragilidade e a omissão de políticas voltadas aos camponeses alimentam interesses privados, estimulados pela economia de mercado e por políticas de apoio ao agronegócio, ali representadas pelo avanço da soja, do eucalipto e dos negócios e serviços a eles associados. Estas circunstâncias limitam a territorialidade requerida pelos camponeses, tornando-os cada vez mais vulneráveis à denominada ?economia do agronegócio?, defendida por parte dos autores estudados. O estudo se apoia em dados secundários do IBGE, INCRA, MDA e em pesquisa qualitativa participante, realizada com lideranças dos assentamentos estudados e das comunidades do entorno, técnicos do INCRA e da ATER, estudiosos do tema, entre outros.<br><br>Abstract : This dissertation analyzes the challenges to produce in the agrarian reform settlements in Maranhão, focused in the micro-region of Chapadinha - MRH in Maranhão. The regional dynamics was established through a substantial financing from capitalist companies linked to the global market of movement of goods, privileged by the current Brazilian economy that favors the commodities market. There is a strong presence of peasant agriculture, which although important in the local economy, is excluded from the economic growth mentioned above. This segment is represented by the agrarian reform settlements and traditional farming communities. The state involvement is decisive for both sectors, which receive unequal treatments from a part of the state. For the peasants, there is a strong discontinuity of programs and failure of the main policies, especially those dependent on technical assistance and agricultural credit. The study concludes that the weakness and failure of policies to the farmers, supports private interests, stimulated by the market economy and by policies that support agribusiness represented by the advance of soybean, eucalyptus and businesses and services associated. These circumstances limit the territoriality required by the farmers, making them increasingly vulnerable to the so called "agribusiness economy", advocated by some of the authors hereby studied. The paper is based on secondary data from IBGE, INCRA, MDA and participant qualitative research, conducted with the leaders of the settlements studied and surrounding communities, technicians from INCRA and ATER, specialists on the theme, among others.

Previous issue date: 2013-09-26<br>This dissertation examines the articulation of high school with vocational education (EBEP - EJA) developed by SESI - MA - Social Service of Industry and Senai - MA - National Service of Industrial Learning. The study is linked to the State Line of Research and Education Management Research Group Policies Basic Education Program Graduate Education UFMA. The general objective that guided the development of the study was to analyze the EBEP - EJA in the form of Youth and Adults in concomitantly, technical course in mechanics, identifying the legal and institutional guidelines that guide the development of the proposal, analyze the skills professionals that guide the process of training, identify the expectations of students' education, meeting the demands of the market, and analyze the array of vocational training in the light of the reference matrix demanded by industrial firms that receive the graduates of the EJA EBEP SESI - MA and MA - SENAI Objectives of general and specific questions emerged about the theoretical training that shape the structure of training developed in the course analyzed. The construction of the theoretical framework that has underpinned the development of the study were the contributions of Frigotto, (2005), Ciavatta (2009), Ramos (2001), Oliveira (2005), Kuenzer (2007), among others, and documentary analysis of following documents: Constitution, LDBEN No. 9.394/96, Laws, Decrees and resolutions, and institutional frameworks CNI FIEMA, SESI and SENAI. Were used as research tools questionnaires, interview guide, applied to a sample of 28 pre- selected subjects among students, technical school, and the companies that receive the SENAI graduates of courses in addition to the in situ observations to broaden the information on the object searched. Through the confrontation between the provisions of legal documents and institutional data and information collected through survey instruments was possible to identify weaknesses and strengths in the process of articulation between high school and professional education which raises the intervention with a view to correcting the discrepancies in order to compromise the achievement of course objectives, given the gaps present in the technical training in mechanics, pointed out by the companies, which causes the distance between the training required and that which is effectively developed. Finally it is emphasized that the project EBEP - EJA comprises a training path that is relative to the demands of training presented by the industrialist labor market Maranhão, in such case, favors the development of the skills required to ensure employability of the graduates of the course.<br>A presente dissertação analisa a articulação do ensino médio com a educação profissional (EBEP - EJA) desenvolvida pelo SESI-MA - Serviço Social da Indústria e o SENAI - MA - Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial. O estudo vincula-se à Linha de Pesquisa Estado e Gestão Educacional, Grupo de Pesquisa Políticas da Educação Básica do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UFMA. O objetivo geral que norteou o desenvolvimento do estudo consistiu em analisar o EBEP - EJA na modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos, na forma concomitante, curso técnico em mecânica; identificar as diretrizes legais e institucionais que orientam o desenvolvimento da proposta; analisar as competências profissionais que orientam o processo de formação profissional; identificar as expectativas de formação dos alunos, frente às demandas de mercado; e, analisar a matriz de formação profissional, à luz da matriz de referencia demandada pelas empresas industriais que recebem os egressos do EBEP EJA do SESI-MA e SENAI-MA. Dos objetivos geral e específico emergiram questionamentos sobre as bases teóricas da formação profissional que conformam a estrutura da formação desenvolvida no curso objeto de análise. A construção do aporte teórico que deu sustentação ao desenvolvimento do estudo foram as contribuições de Frigotto, (2005), Ciavatta (2009), Ramos (2001), Oliveira (2005), Kuenzer (2007), dentre outros, além da análise documental dos seguintes documentos: Constituição Federal, LDBEN nº 9.394/96, Leis, Decretos e resoluções, e dos referenciais institucionais da CNI, FIEMA, SESI e SENAI. Foram utilizados como instrumentos de pesquisa questionários, roteiro de entrevistas, aplicados a uma amostra previamente selecionada de 28 sujeitos entre alunos, técnicos da escola, e das empresas que recebem egressos dos cursos do SENAI, além das observações in loco com vistas a ampliar as informações sobre o objeto pesquisado. Através do confronto entre o disposto nos documentos legais e institucionais com os dados e informações coletadas através de instrumentos de pesquisa foi possível apontar fragilidades e potencialidades no processo de articulação entre o ensino médio e a educação profissional o que suscita intervenção com vistas à correção dos desvios detectados, tendo em vista que compromete o alcance dos objetivos do curso, face às de lacunas presentes na formação do técnico em mecânica, apontadas pelas empresas, o que provoca o distanciamento entre a formação pretendida e aquela que é efetivamente desenvolvida. Finalizando destaca-se que o projeto EBEP-EJA contempla um percurso formativo que tem como referência as demandas de formação apresentadas pelo mercado de trabalho industrial maranhense, ou seja, favorece o desenvolvimento das competências exigidas para garantir condições de empregabilidade dos egressos do curso.

Cette recherche propose d’investiguer l’espace entre ma pratique artistique et ma pratique comptable à travers une approche qui déploie des activités de recherches théoriques sur l’art, des activités de recherches théoriques en comptabilité, la réalisation d’un protocole de création en atelier, et la prestation d’une conférence. L’approche flexible, multifocale et exploratoire adoptée se situe en affinité avec Intermedia, développé par Dick Higgins. Partant de ces deux figures type d’opposition, l’art et la comptabilité, je contextualise cette opposition avec l’analyse socio-historique d’Ève Chiapello. Je présente plusieurs pratiques artistiques contemporaines et actuelles de la posture d’opposition spécifique appelée critique artiste. Ces artistes représentent une pluralité de figures d’opposition que j’explique, pour ensuite proposer d’autres figures telles la permutation, la fusion par That’s Painting et la confusion par Dick Higgins et Intermedia. Je convoque les recherches comptables aux fondements historiques de la comptabilité hors de l’implication monétaire et se situant majoritairement dans le champ interprétatif de la recherche selon Burrell et Morgan. La comptabilité moderne ayant comme point de repère Fra Luca Pacioli, j’y relie mes recherches comptables aux recherches de l’archéologue Denise Schmandt-Besserat afin de développer une réflexion sur l’objet analogique dans l’histoire du calcul comptable, et ce, jusqu’à la mise en place de la monétarisation que l’on connait aujourd’hui. Je convoque les écrits de Bernard Colasse portant sur les principes comptables. J’engage les principes de monétarisation, d’indépendance des exercices et le principe de continuité à travers une réflexion critique sur la valeur, la durée et la finitude. Ce mémoire privilégie les recherches théoriques expliquant la quête humaine de savoir combien et les fonctions de mémoire et de contrôle de la comptabilité. Je présente le protocole d’atelier intitulé Compter mes jours de même qu’une analyse dialectique qui convie ces théories comptables et des pratiques artistiques, en particulier Tehching Hsieh. J’exprime comment Compter mes jours est le récit qui rend compte et devient l’archive d’un récit, un compte rendu. Cette comptabilité domestique a été divulguée lors de La Conférence présentée le 30 mai 2017. La Conférence poursuit l’analyse d’une pratique rituelle, morale et politique, soulignant les recherches de James A. Aho, Ève Chiapello, Hans Derks, Mahmoud Ezzamel, Basil S. Yamey. L’ensemble de cette recherche exploratoire engage une réflexion singulière sur l’existence.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior<br>Neste trabalho foram preparados nanocompósitos de elastômeros termoplásticos à base de PP/EPDM/argila organofílica. Foram utilizados como agentes interfaciais polipropileno e terpolímero de etileno-propileno-dieno ambos modificados com grupos anidrido maleico, PP-MA e EPDM-MA, respectivamente. Dois tipos de argila organofílica, que se diferenciam pela estrutura química do surfactante e conseqüentemente pela estabilidade térmica, foram empregados como carga inorgânica. Os nanocompósitos foram preparados pela técnica de intercalação por fusão em câmara interna de mistura e a incorporação da argila foi feita pela adição de masterbatches previamente preparados. Foram investigadas as propriedades de tração, reométricas e ainda a morfologia (cristalinidade e estrutura obtida) dos nanocompósitos a fim de estabelecer a influência do tipo e quantidade de argila organofílica e agente interfacial. Os resultados mostraram que a adição de agente interfacial melhorou a dispersão da argila organofílica na matriz de PP/EPDM, particularmente o PP-MA. Foram obtidos nanocompósitos com estruturas mistas intercaladas e esfoliadas, que resultaram em maiores valores de módulo de elasticidade e manutenção dos valores de deformação. As propriedades reométricas confirmaram o maior grau de dispersão da argila organofílica em nanocompósitos contendo PP-MA. Teores crescentes de argila reduziram a cristalinidade dos nanocompósitos, os quais quando reprocessados, mantiveram as características inerentes ao TPE de origem. Maleinized polypropylene and ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, PP-MA and EPDM-MA, respectively, were employed as interfacial agents. Also two kinds of organoclays, differing about surfactant chemical structure and as consequence thermal stability, were investigated as inorganic filler. Nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation in an internal chamber mix and organoclay was incorporated by masterbatches addition, which ones were previously made. It was investigated the influence of amount and kind of organoclay and interfacial agent on tensile properties, rheology and morphology (crystallinity and structure type) of nanocomposites obtained. The results showed that interfacial agents addition promoted a better dispersion degree of organoclay platelets in PP/EPDM matrix, mainly PP-MA. Nanocomposites with both intercalated and exfoliated structures were obtained. These exhibited higher Young modulus and kept their elongation values. The better dispersion degree of clay platelets in nanocomposites containing PP-MA was confirmed by rheology measurements. Increasing amounts of organoclay lowered the crystallinity degree of nanocomposites but the reprocessability was maintained similar to that of pure TPE. Finally, the chemical structure of surfactants did not change the intercalation/exfoliation process due to the similarity of organoclay basal spacing and moderated TPE processing temperature.

I föreliggande studie undersöks hur ett undervisningsupplägg baserat på flipped classroom påverkar resultatet i en matematikklass på det naturvetenskapliga programmet, samt hur eleverna förhåller sig till ett sådant undervisningsupplägg. Klassen undervisades av samma lärare, men med olika undervisningsupplägg, i tre olika matematikkurser: Traditionell undervisning med klassrumsbaserade genomgångar i Ma 1c; inverterad undervisning i Ma 2c där eleverna före lektionstillfället tog del av en videogenomgång, för att frigöra tid för uppgiftslösning i klassrummet; inverterad undervisning i Ma 3c med tillägget att man i klassrummet använde sig av undervisningsverktyget peer instruction. En enkät gjordes angående elevernas attityder till de olika undervisningsuppläggen. Vidare gjordes en jämförelse av klassens resultat på de nationella proven med resultaten i riket, samt med resultaten för en elevgrupp som undervisats traditionellt. Enkätsvaren visar att eleverna var mycket nöjda med flipped classroom, och att majoriteten ansåg att de lärde sig mer med flipped-classroom-baserad undervisning än med traditionell undervisning. Detta gäller elever på alla betygsnivåer; elever med såväl som utan tillgång till matematikhjälp hemma; pojkar såväl flickor. Elevernas inställning till peer instruction var mera splittrad. Jämförelsen av resultat på de nationella proven visar en tydlig nedgång i elevernas prestation mellan Ma 1c och Ma 3c. Den största delen av nedgången skedde mellan Ma 1c och Ma 2c, dvs. då undervisning baserad på flipped classroom infördes. Denna nedgång skulle givetvis kunna ha andra orsaker än att flipped classroom införts i undervisningen. Slutsatsen att flipped classroom, såsom det implementerats i klassen, inte tycks ha någon positiv inverkan på elevernas akademiska resultat tycks dock motiverad.<br>A flipped classroom based teaching structure in a natural science programme class at a higher secondary school has been studied in terms of influence on academic results and pupil attitudes. The class of was taught in mathematics by the same teacher using different teaching structures in three different mathematics courses: In Ma 1c, the teaching followed a traditional structure with classroom based lectures; in Ma 2c, the teaching structure was flipped, in that the pupils watched lecture podcasts prior to the lesson in order to make more time available for problem solving in class; Ma 3c also had a flipped structure, with the addition of peer instruction exercises in the classroom. A survey was performed relating to the pupils’ attitudes to the different teaching structures. Furthermore, the results of the class at the national tests in mathematics were compared a control group consisting of pupils who had been traditionally taught, as well as control groups derived from national statistics. The survey revealed that the pupils were very positive to flipped classroom teaching. The comparison of the results on national tests revealed that the academic results of the class declined between Ma 1c and Ma 3c, with the largest part of the decline occurring between Ma 1c and Ma 2c, i.e. when flipped classroom was introduced. At least part of this decline could possibly be ascribed to other factors than the change of teaching structure. However, the conclusion that flipped classroom as implemented in the class at study does not have a positive influence on the academic results of the pupils seems motivated.

Para tanto foi utilizado um conjunto de procedimentos, a saber: processamentos digitais de imagens, levantamentos fitossociológicos, aplicação de questionários, voltados para avaliação das potencialidades e fragilidades dos geossistemas, e identificação dos principais fatores que atuam nas mudanças ocorridas no local. O referido município está inserido na Baixada Maranhense, uma região natural integrada por um sistema hidrográfico lacustre, constituído por rios, lagos e planícies fluviais inundáveis e contém em seus limites territoriais alguns dos principais divisores de águas que formam os rios e lagos da Baixada Maranhense. Todavia é interessante notar, que o mesmo não se encontra assistido pela política estadual de proteção ambiental, situação problemática, na medida em que se torna possível, perceber ao longo do tempo, transformações significativas associadas às características socioeconômicas locais. The referred municipality is inserted on the Baixada Maranhense, a natural region integrated by a hydrographic lacustrine system, constituted by rivers, lakes and floodable fluvial plains. Some of the main waters splitters that composes the channels that forms the rivers and lakes of the Baixada Maranhense, are situated inside of the territorial limits of this city. Previous issue date: 2012<br>The thesis addresses a topic relevant to current social context, education for older adults, considering demographic growthand increased life expectancy in Brazil by the need of educational proposals concerning education for lifelong, mediated by the guarantee of the rights to education; It aims to analyze the gerontological activities, unveiling contributions to literacy mediated intergenerational dialogue to self-esteem and social integration of the elderly. The research has a qualitative approach as a reference, modality in action research as the main methodological procedure, and Culture circles used to work generating themes removed from the context of people surveyed and the Elderly Statute (Estatuto do Idoso). The process of literacy and lifelong formation, guided by Gerontagogical Dialogic Intergenerational,epistemological fundamentals from Paulo Freire, in the field of history and memory, among other studies converge and converse with the elements found in this investigation.Regarding the methodological approach, were used semi-structured interviews with scripts, questionnaires and participant observation; Individuals of this research are called eagles of love (the elderly), life (children), hope (grandchildren) and light (teachers).The socio-demographic data are results of the questionnaires with twenty (20) elderly (eagles love) in cutting age (60 to 85 years of age), who participate in the Intergenerational Project and revealed the social educational and economic true, result of a life story that conditioned by several reasons to remain outside the social inclusion process. How had no opportunity to study because there was no school in the locality of residence, all, without exception, changed the countryside for the urban areain search of better living conditions, especially to put their children in school, get form them as a reward and projection of dreams that could not achieve. The survey information after the interview and the activities of the culture circle, confirmed that work of this nature, mediated by Gerontological intergenerational dialogue contribute to self-esteem and social integration of older people, found in the dialogues and attitudes of the eagles, as the apex of the results. Reverberated in the construction of this thesis: the appropriation of reading and writing as a process that maximizes the relation between knowledge, reflection, action and requirement of the rights guaranteed in the Elderly Statute; digital literacy, participation, persistence and engagement in activities with joy and gestures of solidarity; personal enhancement; involvement of children and grandchildren with the improvement of family relations and change in conceptions of old age. However, this explicit need to be included in the Educational Politicsa pedagogy pledge not only insertion of old people in school and non-school contexts, as well as the inclusion in the proposed curriculum of basic education, with contents that include education and intergenerational process aging, this approach is essential that the proposals of teacher training courses, mainly pedagogy courses in, can provide the skills to work, especially in classes EJAI (Education for Youth, Adults and Elders), anchored on the contribution of Gerontological, from the new paradigms about senescence and the aging process, and thus contribute to lifelong education.<br>A tese aborda uma temática atual e pertinente ao contexto social, a educação de idosos, considerando o crescimento demográfico, aumento da expectativa de vida no Brasil e pela necessidade de propostas educacionais voltadas para a educação ao longo da vida, mediatizado pela garantia dos direitos à educação; Tem como objetivo analisar as atividades gerontagógicas, desvelando as contribuições para a alfabetização mediada pelo diálogo intergeracional para autoestima e inserção social dos idosos. A pesquisa tem como referência uma abordagem qualitativa, na modalidade pesquisa-ação e, como procedimento metodológico principal, utilizou Círculos de Cultura para trabalhar os temas geradores retirados do contexto dos sujeitos pesquisados e do Estatuto do Idoso. O processo de alfabetização e formação ao longo da vida, norteado pela Gerontagogia Dialógica Intergeracional, fundamentos epistemológicos Freireano, no Campo da História e Memória, dentre outros estudos que dialogam e convergem com os elementos encontrados nesta investigação. Em relação ao percurso metodológico, foram utilizados a entrevista semiestruturada com roteiros, questionários e observação dos participantes; os sujeitos desta pesquisa são denominados de águias do amor (idosos), vida (filhos), esperança (netos) e de luz (professores). Os dados sócio-demográficos são resultados dos questionários com 20 (vinte) idosos (águias de amor) no corte etário (60 aos 85 anos de idades), que participam do Projeto Intergeracional e revelaram a realidade socioeducacional e econômica, fruto de uma história de vida que os condicionou por diversos motivos a permanecerem à margem do processo de inserção social. Como não tiveram oportunidade de estudar, pois não existia escola na localidade, todas, sem exceção, trocaram o campo pela cidade, em busca de melhores condições de vida, principalmente com o escopo de colocar os filhos na escola e conseguir formá-los como recompensa e projeção dos sonhos que não puderam atingir. As informações da pesquisa após realização da entrevista e das atividades do círculo de cultura, confirmam que trabalhos dessa natureza mediatizados pela Gerontagogia dialógica intergeracional corroboram para autoestima e inserção social dos idosos, constatados nos diálogos e atitudes das águias, como ápice dos resultados. Repercutiu na construção desta tese: apropriação da leitura e da escrita como processo que potencializou a relação conhecimento, reflexão, ação e exigência dos direitos garantidos no Estatuto do Idoso; alfabetização digital; participação, perseverança e engajamento nas atividades com alegria e gestos de solidariedade; valorização pessoal; envolvimento dos filhos e netos com a melhoria das relações na família e mudança nas concepções sobre velhice. Ademais, fica explícita a necessidade de ser incluída na Política Educacional uma Pedagogia propiciadora não só de inserção dos idosos em contextos escolares e não escolares, como também a inclusão nas propostas curriculares da educação básica, de conteúdos que contemplem a educação intergeracional e o processo de envelhecimento; Nessa abordagem é indispensável que as Propostas dos Cursos de formação de professores, principalmente no Curso de Pedagogia, possam fornecer as competências para atuarem, de modo especial nas turmas de EJAI (Educação de Jovens, Adultos e Idosos), ancoradas na contribuição da Gerontagogia, a partir dos novos paradigmas sobre velhice e o processo de envelhecimento e, assim contribuir com a educação ao longo da vida.

Nous avons cherché dans le cadre de cette recherche à démontrer le lien étroit entre le sujet du discours, en l’occurrence Pierre Rivière, le cadre familial dans lequel il a vécu et le cadre social qui l’a amené à commettre son triple assassinat. Comment le dire de Pierre Rivière est-il conçu pour argumenter en faveur d’un crime que le jeune paysan assume ? Quel rapport y a-t-il à établir alors entre le dire et les moyens linguistiques mis au service de ce dire lui-même ?Le dernier point sur lequel nous nous arrêtons est celui du pouvoir de l’écriture. How was the speech of Pierre Riviere designed to argue in favor of a crime that the young peasant assumes? International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 23-26, 2000 / Town & Country Hotel and Conference Center, San Diego, California<br>The Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) Multiple Access (MA) Return Service provides a communication path that originates at a customer platform (either a spacecraft or other type of emitter) and is routed through a geosynchronous Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) back to a customer control center or data acquisition location. Conventional operations provide Space Network (SN) customers with MA Service based on a schedule generated from user requests. The MA Service currently provides return link telemetry services to customer platforms with real-time, playback, and science data rates up to 100 kbps. This paper describes an integrated approach, using state-of-the-art technology and fault-tolerant architecture, to develop the next generation of TDRSS MA beamforming equipment. New designs will result in significant reduction in beamformer size and cost by at least an order of magnitude relative to the current MA equipment. This new equipment will provide the potential for increased usage of TDRSS MA services. The paper describes the in-development Demand Access (DA) Return Service that provides a new class of service using next generation technology.

Previous issue date: 1987<br>The understanding of relationship between education and social fights on historical context of directed colonization is proposed. The field work took place at Alto Turi, in the Pre Amazonia region of Maranhão, where the Alto Turi colonization Project (PCAT) is undertaken by Companhia de Colonização do Nordeste (COLONE), a mixed enterprize subsidiary to Superintendencia do Desenvolvimento do Nordeste (SUDENE). The fundamental question here is concerned to changes the settlers attain through education, from passive producers and dependent on paternalistic and assistencial relationships, to active individuals ready to discuss and propose changes to the PCAT. Their education process, reflexion and actions analysis pervades the understanding of historical process of Maranhão Alto Turi, i. e.: North-eastern migration movement begun in the fifties; SUDENE's answer to this movement, in 1962, when regional colonization project was created; the undergoing migration process which introduced new performers (farmes and traders); the creation of COLONE in 1972 to replace SUDENE in the development of PCAT communities organizing work analysis, education, rural extension and co-operativism offercd formerIy by SUDENE and afterwards by COLONE to the nucleated populations. This way of working implies yet in the analysis of the regional classes structure, verifying the political role and the social power of the settlers' group, as well as understanding the contradictions that dynamize the classes fight in the region and noting this movernent inside a broader social process, regional and national.<br>Proposta de compreensao da relação entre educaçao e lutas sociais no contexto histórico da Colonização Dirigida. O trabalho de campo realizou-se na região do Alto Turi, na pré-Amazônia maranhense, onde se desenvolve o Projeto de Colonização do Alto Turi(PCAT), executado pela Companhia de Colonização do Nordeste (COLONE), empresa mista, subsidiária da Superintendência de Desenvolvimento do Nordeste (SUDENE). A questão fundamental do estudo é como os colonos se educam e se transformam, de produtores passivos e dependentes de relações assistencialistas e paterna por mudanças no PCAT. A análise do processo educativo, da reflexão e da ação desenvolvida pelos colonos, passa pela compreensão do processo histórico do Alto Turi Maranhense, isto é: do movimento migratório nordestino a partir da década de 50; da resposta a esse movimento dada pela SUDENE com a criação, em 1962, do projeto de colonização da região; da continuação do processo migratório introduzindo novos personagens (fazendeiros e comerciantes); da criação, em 1972, da COLONE, substituindo a SUDENE na execução do PCAT; da análise dos trabalhos de organização de comunidades, educação, extensão rural e cooperativismo oferecidos pela SUDENE e, posteriormente, pela COLONE à população nucleada. Esta linha de trabalho ainda implica, metodologicamente, em analisar a estrutura de classes da região, verificando o papel político e o peso social do grupo formado pelos colonos, assim como compreender as contradições que dinamizam a luta de classes na região, percebendo esse movimento no interior do processo social mais amplo, regional e nacional.

Previous issue date: 2014-03-21<br>Analysis of the territorial politics brazilians on the territory of Maranhão, more specifically on the west of the state, where the municipality is located Buriticupu in the microregion Pindaré, whith the of objective understanding the consequences of the same conditions for current development of the municipality. For that we chose initially to do a literature review on the concepts related to the topic, such as: territory, territorial politics, development, local and then we analyze the characteristics of globalization, especially its impact on the territory and the strategies to address inequalities in the various spatial scales. Then we make a historical analysis of the territorial politics within Brazil and Maranhão. After this analysis we come to particularize the microregion Pindaré until we get the specificity of economic and social transformations produced by territorial politics for county, seeking to understand the impacts on local development. Always with a view to finding alternatives to stop the situation from low municipal development.<br>Análise das políticas territoriais brasileiras sobre o território maranhense, especificamente sobre a parte oeste do estado, onde se localiza o município Buriticupu, na microrregião do Pindaré, com o objetivo de compreender os reflexos das mesmas para as condições de desenvolvimento atuais do referido município. Para tanto optou-se inicialmente por fazer uma revisão bibliográfica sobre conceitos que perpassam esse tema, como: território, políticas territoriais, desenvolvimento e local e depois analisou-se as características da globalização, principalmente seus impactos sobre o território e as estratégias de enfrentamento das desigualdades nas várias escalas espaciais. Em seguida fazemos uma análise histórica sobre as políticas territoriais no âmbito do Brasil e Maranhão. Após análise histórica passou-se a particularizar a microrregião do Pindaré até chegarmos às especificidades das transformações econômicas e sociais produzidas políticas territoriais sobre o município de Buriticupu, buscando se compreender impactos sobre o desenvolvimento local. Sempre na perspectiva de encontrar alternativas para romper com a situação de baixo desenvolvimento municipal.

Nous nous situons toujours «aux frontières de» pour contempler : devant une porte, une fenêtre, un cadre, un espace ou un miroir. Ma réflexion commence à partir de ma fenêtre, mon espace intime. « Aux frontières du virtuel : depuis ma fenêtre » nous incite à tenter de découvrir où se cache la gravité des choses, où se situe l'essence même des choses où leur «existence pure», à travers la notion de virtuel si difficilement perceptible. Cette thèse s'articule en trois grandes parties : Virtualité espace interne et externe ; Virtualité : l'apparition par-delà : photographies et reflets dans l’art ; Virtualité : au-delà de la disparition. Dans la philosophie orientale (Taoïsme et Bouddhisme) et la philosophie occidentale, la notion de virtuel concerne tous les phénomènes universels qui nous entourent, y compris ce qui a trait à notre propre regard ou à notre esprit. Elle évoque quelques concepts contradictoires : «le visible et l’invisible», «la présence et l’absence», «l’apparition et la disparition», «l’émergence et l’évanescence», etc. Elles les lie l’un et l’autre comme les deux faces d’une même monnaie. En Orient, le virtuel peut se retrouver dans la notion de vide qui est intimement liée à celle d'existence, comme cette recherche qui concerne ce qui n’est pas toujours visible, peu souvent perceptible par un regard. Dans la peinture Shansuie, le vide peut signifier un nuage, le vent ou l’eau. Nous nous situons toujours dans une transition temporelle ou un passage physique où il est difficile de percevoir ce qui va apparaitre et ce qui est présent, face à nous<br>We always situate "the borders" to contemplate: a front door, a window, a frame, a space or a mirror. My reflection starts from my window, my intimate space. "In the virtual borders: from my window'' drives us to try to find out where things gravity hiding or is the essence of things or their "pure existence" through the concept of virtual which is hardly noticeable. This thesis has three main parts: Virtuality: internal and external space; Virtuality: the appearance beyond: photographs and reflections in the art; virtuality beyond the disappearance. In Eastern philosophy (Buddhism and Taoism) and Western philosophy, the concept of virtual respect all universal phenomena around us, including respect to our own eyes or mind. It evokes some conflicting concepts: "the visible and the invisible", "the presence and absence", "The appearance and disappearance", "the emergence and evanescence" etc. It binds both of them as two sides of the same coin. In the Eastern countries, the virtual can be found in the vacuum concept which is intimately linked to that of existence, as this research regarding what is not always visible, rarely discernible by eye. In painting Shan shui, the vacuum may mean a cloud, wind or water. We always situate in a time of transition or a physical place where it is difficult to see what will appear and what is present, facing us
