Abstract:
Abstract The human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2, also known as ERBB2) oncogene is overexpressed in approximately 25% of breast cancer tumors and is associated with a high rate of brain metastasis. Patients with brain metastases have a poor prognosis and limited treatment options available. Since about half of HER2+ tumors are also hormone receptor positive, and cross talk has been shown to occur between these two signaling pathways, it is plausible that these tumors could benefit from the addition of hormonal therapy on top of HER2 inhibition. OP-1250 is a complete estrogen recepto

Hard or turbostratic carbon anodes are most often derived from thermolysis of biomass in oxygen free environments and considerable data has been accrued to suggest that low specific surface area HC offers the most stable materials for lithiation and sodiation. As part of our efforts to valorize rice hull ash (RHA, 90 wt % SiO2/8 wt % C), produced in 150k ton/yr in the U.S. alone; we learned to first distillatively remove excess SiO2 to produce silica depleted RHA or SDRHA40-70 (40-70 wt.% SiO2).1 The resulting materials are nanocomposites of carbon and SiO2 intermixed at nm length scales.2 The

This article provides an original reappraisal of the notion of Minnemystik in the work of the 13th-century Flemish beguine Hadewijch of Antwerp (fl. 1240), with specific reference to its Trinitarian and Christological orientations. After an introduction to the nature and origins of Hadewijch’s work, relating to the discovery of four extant manuscripts (MS.A [2879–2880], MS.B [2877–2878], BS.C and the incomplete MS.D [385 II]) in Belgium in 1838, followed by an elucidation of the experience-driven epistemology of the Victorians Richard of St Victor (d. 1173) and Hugo of St Victor (1079–1141) as

Experts in the field of perinatal mental health are using perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD) as an umbrella term that includes many mental health conditions and bring to light the lack of screening and treatment for perinatal mental health in the United States. There is a growing need to equip Obstetricians and Gynecologist (OB-GYN) providers with better tools to screen, triage, and refe

Chapter 4 examines thirteenth- and fourteenth-century guidance texts for anchoresses, including Ancrene Wisse and Richard Rolle’s The Form of Living, as well as the Latin vita of Margaret the Lame (d. 1250), anchoress of Magdeburg.
