In this paper, we prove a generalization of a correspondence between holomorphic Jacobi cusp forms of higher degree (matrix index) and elliptic cusp forms obtained by K. Bringmann [Lifting maps from a vector space of Jacobi cusp forms to a subspace of elliptic modular forms, Math. Z.253 (2006) 735–752], for forms of higher levels (for congruence subgroups). To achieve this, we make use of the method adopted by M. Manickam and the first author in Sec. 3 of [On Shimura, Shintani and Eichler–Zagier correspondences, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.352 (2000) 2601–2617], who obtained similar correspondence

Objectives/AimsThe habenular nucleus is a set of well-conserved structures involved in aversive reward and is inhibitory to major monoaminergic nuclei. Several cases indicated that it is a promising deep brain stimulation (DBS) target for treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). In this study, we assess the effectiveness and safeness of bilateral habenula DBS in MDD patients.MethodsSix patients with MDD underwent DBS of bilateral habenula in the study (5 bipolar disorder and 1 unipolar disorder; 4 males and 2 females). Quantitative susceptibility mapping was used to visualize the habenula

In western societies, about one in six employees works in shifts. Shiftwork is associated with a number of poor somatic and psychological health outcomes, especially sleep issues. Higher rates of absenteeism and accidents in the workplace are possible consequences. Still, prevention programs and treatment options that are specifically tailored to shift-workers’ needs are rare. We devised a 4-week online cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) intervention (n = 21) and compared sleep outcomes to a face-to-face outpatient treatment for shift-workers (n = 12) using a sleep diary and the

Changes in estradiol secretion and presence of vasomotor symptoms (VMS) contribute to perimenopausal depressive symptoms, but links with progesterone have not been investigated. Objective To determine whether estradiol variability, ovulatory levels of progesterone, and VMS burden are independently associated with perimenopausal depressive symptomatology. Design and Intervention Depressive symptoms, serum levels of estradiol and progesterone, and VMS frequency were assessed weekly in an 8-week
