The goal of this diploma thesis was to create a script in MATLAB, which is capable to load DICOM pictures, read the data in their headers and then select the right series for perfusion analysis. This analysis is based on detection of contrast fluid in bloodstream and tissue and right interpretation of concentration changes of this fluid in time. This work is trying to describe a way of building an ultimate system capable of autonomous tumor analysis and classification. This thesis deals with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), in particular with dynamic causal modelling (DCM) as one of the methods for effective brain connectivity analysis. It has been studied the effect of signal coordinates selection, which was used as an input of DCM analysis, on its results based on simulated data testing. For this purpose, a data simulator has been created and described in this thesis. Furthermore, the methodology of testing the influence of the coordinates selection on DCM results has been reported. The coordinates shift rate has been simulated by adding appro

This thesis is concerned with problems of measuring and mapping of magnetic field in MR tomograph, for purpose of magnetic flux density homogeneity optimization. Attention is paid to mapping techniques on rotary symmetric volume and to ways of magnetic fields optimization with utilization of passive and active correction systems. Theoretical analysis of magnetic field decomposition with utilization of spherical harmonics and numerical decomposition is made. Mapping and approximation techniques of basic magnetic field are verified by experiments in the laboratory at the Institute of Scientific

The task of this thesis is to study the subject of perfusion analysis based on dynamic imaging with T2/T2* contrast. The focus was on the acquisition commonly used for DSC-MRI and especially in the acquisition pulse sequences that use images with different echo time, so called Multi-echo sequence. Principles of dynamic measurement by magnetic resonance imaging, the role of contrast agents and their influence on the relaxation times are described. It also describes the problems perfusion analysis, measurement and mathematical modeling parameters entering to the convolution dependency for gettin

<p>High-resolution NMR spectroscopy has, during the last two decades, had an increasing impact in biological and biochemical research. Rapid advances have led to improvements in sensitivity and dispersion of the spectra and have allowed more detailed assignment and monitoring of endogenous biochemical molecules. One of the latest implementations has been a technique known as high-resolution magic angle spinning (HR-MAS) NMR spectroscopy which has made it possible to obtain high-resolution proton spectra of intact tissue and cells. Simultaneous detection of a large number of metabolites by NMR
