Abstract:
Recent experimental and theoretical studies have found evidence of coupled interactions between magnons and phonons. The aim of this study is to construct a model of coupled magnons and phonons, as well as analysing their frequency spectrum. The model is derived by quantizing spin and lattice degrees of freedom, and the frequency spectrum is derived by solving the equations of motion. We found that both the strength and the composition of the coupled interactions affect the frequencies of magnons and phonons, with emphasis on the magnons. Their frequencies are imaginary close to the center of

Our approach relies on the Matsubara-Matsuda transformation, which maps a magnonic circuit of a magnetic cluster connected to 1D leads into a hard-core boson system. Nas obras autobiográficas de Sindiwe Magona To My Children’s Children e Forced to Grow obtemos um relato verídico do que foi, para uma mulher negra, crescer e viver na África do Sul. Abstract:
In this project a microscopic description of the magnon-phonon coupling is rederived. This theory is then used to simulate the thermalization process between the spin and lattice system in NiO. It is argued that the Kusuya-LeCraw process (1 mg + 1 ph into 1 mg) cannot be the reason that the phononic and magnonic systems reach a thermal equilibrium. As a consequence a quasi-stable equilibrium, different from the thermal solution, is reached in less than 1 ps for NiO.
