Abstract:

The oribatid mite genus Apoplophora Aoki, 1980 (Mesoplophoridae) is reviewed, and a checklist and key to all known species are provided. Three species of Apoplophora including a new species, Apoplophora dentata sp. nov. from Tibet, and a newly recorded species from China, Apoplophora heterotricha Mahunka, 1987, are identified, and their morphological descriptions and illustrations are also given.

A remarkable aphaenopsian beetle, a sympatric species of Qianotrechus tenuicollis Uéno, 2000, was newly discovered in Cave Mahuang Dong of Shuanghe Dong cave system, the longest cave system of China in Suiyang County, northern Guizhou Province. To categorize this striking but still unknown species, a new genus and species are proposed: Shuangheaphaenops elegans gen. n., sp. n. Relationships of Shuangheaphaenops and other highly modified aphaenopsian genera from southern China Karsts are discussed.

Two new species of the family Haplozetidae, Setoxylobates medogensis sp. nov. and Trachyoribates concavus sp. nov., are described based on adult specimens from China. The present study is based on oribatid mite materials (Acari, Oribatida) collected from Macao SAR, southern China during 2016 to 2018. A list of identified taxa, including 25 species from 23 genera and 14 families, is presented; of these, 11 species and 1 genus are recorded for the first time in the fauna of this country, and 1 species is recorded for the first time in the Oriental region.
