Maistre's Soirées de Saint-Pétersbourg is modeled on Plato's Laws. Plato and Maistre both demand the political control of natural inquiry, and implement these controls through theodictic conversation. Maistre, following the lead of Plato's legislator, publishes an exemplary conversation about providence between a young man tempted by an atheistic Enlightenment and two older, wiser, and more learned men of affairs. Maistre defends providentialism from materialist interpretations of natural science even as Plato defended it from ancient materialism.

Abstract:

The article presents an overview of epistolary heritage and other documents of French thinker, diplomat, and writer Joseph de Maistre, which are stored in the Archive of Savoy (Chambery, France). The Savoy Archive is a major research center which contains in its personal provenance fonds correspondence, essays, notes, and dispatches of J. de Maistre. Chambery was the Savoy thinker’s hometown, a place where his personality and views were formed and where his complex life path began. The authors analyze the main problems that worried J. de Maistre and were reflected in his works and letters which may be found in the archive of Chambery. While working with archival documents, the authors used source studies methods: firstly, such general scientific methods as retrospective and analytical approach; secondly, comparative analyses; thirdly, source studies methods, such as critical and heuristic approach. These methods have allowed to analyze the epistolary legacy of J. de Maistre, to identify the yet unpublished sources and interpret them. All these documents help to reveal the circle of his Russian correspondents. The research allows to interpret the views of the French philosopher, one of the founders of political conservatism. The authors emphasize that it was in Russia that he created his main works that influenced the emerging Russian conservative socio-political thought. The study of archival fonds helps to determine his social circle while serving in Russia (1803-1817) as a Sardinian envoy. The analysis of these documents assesses his influence on the Russian political elite and Emperor Alexander I himself. These documents have great value for a number of reasons. Firstly, they allow to trace the evolution of Joseph de Maistre`s views, his career, social and political activities; secondly, they reflect the Russo-French relations in one of most crucial periods of the European history, that of the Napoleonic wars. The authors point out that formation and evolution of Napoleon Bonaparte's image in Russia was closely connected with the name of Joseph de Maistre. Thus, it is important to study the heritage of the French emigrants, the French at the Russian Emperor’s serve or on a diplomatic mission in St. Petersburg. Studying de Maistre’s views allows not only to monitor his ideological attitudes and their evolution, but also to identify the mechanisms of their adoption in Russia. The accumulated scientific material allows the authors to come to certain conclusions, which are valuable for studying not just J. de Maistre’s views and influence, but also Russo-French relations in the Napoleonic era. Thus, the analysis of archival materials of the J. de Maistre`s fond significantly expands our understanding of international relations in early 19th century, interaction of two cultures, history of the Russian socio-political thought.

Abstract:

Very little is said about the Australian artist Roy de Maistre in scholarship on Francis Bacon, apart from the fact that he provided guidance about painting processes and other technical issues. There are a number of reasons for this and this article seeks to look at the relationship between de Maistre and Bacon. Although their period of overlap was short-lived, lasting less than a decade, de Maistre was an important figure in Bacon’s early career and significant in his transition from design to painting. Since De Maistre aided Bacon both in his development as a painter and also in his career by introducing him to useful contacts and involving him in exhibitions, perhaps the focus should now be placed on points of stylistic and thematic influence.

Abstract:

Svjetska turistička organizacija (UNWTO) je objavila kako su turistički dolasci u svijetu zabilježili pad od 74%, a u Europi 71% u kriznoj 2020. godini, zbog posljedica uzrokovanih pandemijom COVID-19. Efikasnost i efektivnost upravljačkih odluka u turističkom sektoru su samim time bile od velike važnosti za poslovanje u hotelijerskoj industriji za vrijeme pandemije. Predmet istraživanja ovog rada je analiza uspješnosti poslovanja i donošenja upravljačkih odluka u poduzeću Maistra d.d., čija je matica Adris grupa d.d., prije, za vrijeme i nakon pandemije COVID-19. Turistički sektor je najvažnija grana gospodarstva u Republici Hrvatskoj te zauzima udio od 20% BDP-a, čime je Hrvatska vodeća zemlja Europske unije s najvišim udjelom turističkog sektora u ukupnom BDP-u. Tome svjedoči pad BDP-a u 2020. godini od 8,1%, kao i rast BDP-a od 10,4% u 2021. godini kada je bila povoljnija epidemiološka situacija. Za analizu uspješnosti poslovanja Maistre d.d. korišteni su sekundarni izvori podataka, točnije revidirani godišnji financijski izvještaji dobiveni na stranicama Zagrebačke burze i službenim stranicama Maistre d.d. te je korištena metoda komparacije i deskripcije. Doprinos rada bit će vidljiv kroz analizu i metode temeljenih na objektivnosti, pouzdanosti, preciznosti, sustavnosti i općenitosti kojom će se utvrditi mogu li se poduzeća u hotelijerskoj industriji ili ugostiteljstvu, ugledati na upravljanje poduzećem Maistra d.d. U ovom radu, koriste se metode apstrakcije i analize tako što se traže uzroci i posljedice na temelju kojih će se donositi zaključci pomoću rastavljanja cjelovitog na sastavne elemente. Također, u ovom radu su osim turističke industrije, analizirane industrija osiguranja i prehrambena industrija koje su prisutne u poslovanju Adris grupe d.d., koja je matica društvima Croatia osiguranje d.d. i Cromaris d.d. Zaključak rada je kako izuzetno dobri rezultati ne bi bili mogući bez vrhunskog menadžmenta koji je uvijek u korak s vremenom, koji prepoznaje prilike za investicije čime doprinosi razvoj i širenju poslovanja promatrane grupacije.

Abstract:

Abstract This article examines how the counter-revolutionary writer Joseph de Maistre (1753–1821) theorizes the notion of sacrifice. For de Maistre sacrifice understood as punishment is foundational to all societies. Durkheim used many of this author's works without citing them. At the time Durkheim was teaching his criminal sociology course on punishment and responsibility as well as preparing his course on religion dealing with ‘revelation’. It is possible to explain his interests by the fact that de Maistre appears in Durkheim's core readings for theoretical ‘juncture’ that featured authors concerned with the articulation between questions of penal law and of religious phenomena. This provides additional evidence that for Durkheim religion is at the origin of the definition of the crime and of the establishment of the punishment. Résumé Cet article examine comment l'essayiste contre-révolutionnaire Joseph de Maistre (1753–1821) théorise la notion de sacrifice: pour lui, le sacrifice est compris comme une peine et il est à l'origine de toutes les sociétés. Or Durkheim fit usage de plusieurs de ses livres sans jamais les citer. Alors qu'il dispensait son cours de sociologie criminelle sur la peine et la responsabilité, et préparait sans doute aussi le cours sur la religion, dit ‘de la révélation’, il emprunta l'essai sur le sacrifice de de Maistre. On peut expliquer cet intérêt par le fait que De Maistre fait partie des lectures spéciales de ‘charnière’ théorique, qui renvoient à des auteurs se situant à l'articulation des questions de droit pénal et des phénomènes religieux repérés par Durkheim. On peut aussi, en conséquence, y voir une preuve de plus que, pour Durkheim, la religion est à l'origine de la définition du crime et de l'établissement de la peine.

Abstract:

This thesis, the first in English on this topic, is an examination of central aspects of Joseph de Maistre's constitutional thought: namely the concepts of constituent power, constitutions, sovereignty and forms of government. Research for the thesis has been conducted with the use of archival sources and French texts and it describes and analyses the above concepts in some detail. The thesis also takes into account both historical and modern scholarship written in French and English. It argues that Maistre's constitutional thought is a useful tool with which to investigate some contemporary constitutional problems in liberal constitutional theory, e.g. those of constitutional self - binding, the circularity of the notion of the sovereignty of the people and the nature of sovereignty in the modern state. Maistre's thought provides a view of constitutional matters which opposes certain enlightenment - inspired perspectives that now dominate constitutional discourse and which treat the constitution as a purely normative phenomenon, rather than as a relational concept which cannot be separated entirely from political considerations. The thesis carries out these tasks with reference to other constitutional and public law thinkers in order historically and intellectually to contextualise Maistre's constitutional thought. It seeks to place Maistre within an intellectual tradition stretching from Bodin, Hobbes and Pufendorf, through Rousseau and Montesquieu, to Carl Schmitt and Michael Oakeshott. In doing this, the thesis argues that Maistre is a modern thinker, whose work although cast in the language of reaction, actually belongs to a mainstream constitutional tradition.

O objetivo de nossa pesquisa foi de explorar a interpretação maistreana da Revolução Francesa, a qual, ao contrário do que postula o senso-comum de boa parte da historiografia, não se limitou às Considerações sobre a França (1797) e sua temática providencialista, pois se manifestou em muitos outros escritos distribuídos entre os 14 volumes de suas Obras Completas e seus inúmeros \'\'Registros de Leitura\'\'. Maistre teve o mérito de integrar sua leitura da Revolução nos quadros da modernização do Ocidente, cujos pressupostos, expressos pela Reforma Protestante e pela Ilustração, permitiram-lhe explicar não apenas a Revolução em França, mas também profetizar o advento de uma era das revoluções. Fundamentalmente, procuramos demonstrar como a reação de Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821) ao projeto Ilustrado - e, por extensão, revolucionário - para a humanidade não apenas coincide, surpreendentemente, com o modo como se interpreta contemporaneamente a gênese do mundo moderno, como, apesar de seu caráter e intenções profundamente conservadores, encontra-se amparada em premissas indelevelmente humanistas e racionalistas<br>This thesis aims to study the Maistrean interpretation of the French Revolution, which, contrary to the common view postulated by great part of the historiography, was not confined to the famous providential treatment exposed in the Considérations sur la France (1797), but manifested instead in many other writings distributed along the 14 volumes of his Collected Works, not to mention the thousands pages of his unpublished notebooks. We would like to show that Maistre had the merit of considering the French Revolution in the light of the long-term historical process of modernization of the West, whose guidelines, expressed by the Protestant Reformation and the Enlightenment, allowed him to explain not only the Revolution in France, but also to predict the advent of an \'age of revolutions \'. Above all, we seek to demonstrate how Joseph de Maistre\'s (1753-1821) critique of the Enlightenment - and, by extension, revolutionary - project to humanity is, surprisingly, not only coincident with the way recent scholars interpret the genesis of the modern world, but, despite its deeply conservative character and intentions, is also supported by indelibly humanist and rationalist assumptions

Bien qu'elle ne forme pas un système et qu'elle se présente comme une pensée de caractère idéologique, la philosophie de Joseph de Maistre peut faire l'objet d'une étude d'ensemble qui essaie d'en reconstituer la cohérence. Joseph de Maistre, dont les principaux ouvrages furent écrits entre 1793 et 1821, est une figure majeure du catholicisme contre-révolutionnaire : l'intérêt philosophique de sa pensée est qu'elle propose un type pour ainsi dire pur d'autoritarisme et de traditionalisme. De manière finalement systématique, Maistre affirme, contre la revendication d'autonomie rationnelle élevée par les Lumières, les droits de l'autorité monarchique, pontificale et divine. Ce combat contre les Lumières s'inscrit dans la tradition de la philosophie catholique ; mais parce qu'il repose lui-même sur certains des concepts fondamentaux des Lumières - par sa notion politique de la souveraineté, Maistre se stiue dans l'héritage de Rousseau ; par son rationalisme innéiste, il se situe dans l'héritage de Descarte -, le refus maistrien des Lumières s'inscrit aussi bien dans une dialectique interne aux Lumières. C'est ainsi notamment que Maistre en vient à donner au providentialisme catholique la forme inédite d'un historicisme radical<br>Although the philosophy of Joseph de Maistre does not form a system and is presented like thought of ideological nature, it can be subject to an overall study wich attempts to reconsitute its coherence. Joseph de Maistre, whose main works were written between 1793 and 1821, is a major figure in contrerevolutionary catholicism : the specific philosophical interest of his thought lies in the fact that it proposes a pure type of authoritarianism and traditionalism. Maistre affirms, contrary to the claim for rational autonomy raised by the Enlightenment, the rights of authority beneath the triple figure of monarchic, pontifical and divine authority. This battle against the Enlightenment takes its place in the tradition of catholic philosophy ; but since it itself rests on certain of the fundamental concepts of the Enlightenment - due to his political notion of soverignty, Maistre takes his place in the legacy of Rousseau ; due to his innate rationalism, he takes his place in the legacy of Descartes-, the maistrian refusal of the Enlightenment equally lies within the framework of an internal dialectic of the Enlightenment. It is natably thus that Maistre reaches the stage where he gives catholic providentialism the new form of radical historicism

Abstract:

Konkurencingoje aplinkoje, kai vaikų maisto rinka auga, daugėja įvairių prekių ženklų, kurie nuolat konkuruoja tarpusavyje dėl pirkėjų dėmesio. Prekės ženklų atstovai stengiasi padidinti jų žinomumą siekdami konkurencinio pranašumo. Vaikų maisto prekių ženklams taikomi įvairūs marketingo komunikacijos kanalai, siekiant pasiekti ir perduoti žinutę potencialiems ir esamiems vartotojams. Šio straipsnio tikslas yra nustatyti, kurie marketingo komunikacijos kanalai yra efektyviausi vaikų maisto prekės ženklo „SEMPER“ žinomumui didinti tarp Pabaltijo šalių. Analizuojant literatūrą apibrėžti Kenneth E. Clow ir Donald Baack (2018) integruoto marketingo komunikacijos kanalai: tradiciniai, skaitmeninės erdvės, socialinės medijos ir alternatyvūs. Atlikto Pabaltijo rinkoje tyrimai atskleidė, kad efektyviausi marketingo komunikacijos kanalai yra „Akcijos prekybos vietose“, „Žaidimai ir konkursai pardavimo vietose“ bei „Blog‘eriai ir influenceriai“ vaikų maisto prekės ženklo „SEMPER“ žinomumui didinti. Juos efektyviausiai panaudojo įmonės Lietuvoje, po jų seka Latvijos, o trečioje vietoje lieko įmonės Estijoje.

Abstract:

Lietuvoje kasmet susidaro daugiau kaip 100 tūkst. tonų maisto atliekų, kurių didžioji dalis patenka į sąvartynus – labiausiai vengtinus atliekų tvarkymo įrenginius. ES šalyse pramonėje ir individualiuose namuose siekiama įdiegti žiedinės ekonomikos standartus atitinkančias kompostavimo technologijas. Viena iš jų – aerobinė fermentacija mikroorganizmais. Tyrimų tikslas – įvertinti trijų bakterijų rūšių įtaką juodosios plokščiamusės lervų prieaugiui aerobiškai fermentuojant augalinės kilmės maisto atliekas. Tyrimo objektai – Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus salivarius, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens bakterijos, Hermetia illucens lervos ir augalinės kilmės maisto atliekos. Eksperimentiniai tyrimai atlikti VGTU Aplinkos apsaugos ir vandens inžinerijos katedros laboratorijose naudojant termostatą, kai fermentacijos trukmė – 7 paros. Tyrimai parodė, kad Bacillus amyloliquefaciens yra tinkamiausia bakterija atlikti augalinės kilmės maisto atliekų aerobinę fermentaciją, nes išgyveno 96,0 vnt. lervų, kurių prieaugis siekė 2,422 g. Mėginiai su Lactobacillus salivarius bakterija parodė prasčiausius rezultatus: vidutiniškai išgyveno 95,7 vnt. lervų, kurių prieaugis buvo 1,599 g. Drėgmės tyrimas parodė, kad lervų išgyvenamumas yra geresnis mažesnės drėgmės terpės mėginiuose (59,29 % – 487 vnt.).

Abstract:

Straipsnyje nagrinėjami eksperimentiniai tyrimai, susiję su maisto atliekų skleidžiamų kvapų šalinimų technologijomis. Eksperimentas atliekamas naudojant 20 ml dydžio filtrus su aktyvuota anglimi (7 g), su bioanglimi (2,50 g) ir su keramzitu (6 g), kuris buvo išmirkytas tirpale su mikroorganizmais, taip pat buvo naudojami kontroliniai filtrai – filtrai be užpildo, kad galėtume įvertinti, kokia buvo maisto atliekų skleidžiamo kvapo koncentracija nenaudojant jokių kvapą šalinančių technologijų. Naudojamos maisto atliekos – rūkyta žuvis (10 g), česnakai (10 g), svogūnai (10 g) ir rauginti kopūstai (10 g). Eksperimentas vyko 6 paras 20±1 °C aplinkos temperatūroje. Kvapo koncentracija buvo nustatinėjama dinaminės olfaktometrijos metodu. Tyrimais nustatyta, kad stipriausia kvapo koncentracija buvo po 6 parų (22996 OUE/m3). Efektyviausias filtras buvo su aktyvuota anglimi, vidutinis efektyvumas 95 proc., naudojant šį filtrą didžiausia kvapo koncentracija buvo po 6 parų ir siekė 2105 OUE/m3. Didžiausia maisto atliekų kvapo koncentracija buvo naudojant filtrą su mikroorganiznais, šio filtro vidutinis efektyvumas – 27 proc., didžiausia kvapo koncentracija – 17224 OUE/m3.

Abstract:

Skystosios trąšos – tai įvairūs tirpalai, gaunami mineralinių trąšų gavybos proceso metu arba specialiai sumaišius vandeninius tirpalus, kurie neturi neištirpusių medžiagų. Šiose trąšose maisto medžiagų santykis parenkamas konkrečiai pagal augalų mitybos biologines savybes ir fiziologinius poreikius. Didelę įtaką augalo augimui ir vystymuisi turi hormoninė sistema, veikianti ląstelėje, audinyje ir visame augale. Norint pakeisti augalo augimą ir vystymąsi tam tikra linkme, naudojami augimo reguliatoriai, kurie pakeičia augalo hormonus bei jų kiekį skirtingose augalo dalyse. Tai biologiškai aktyvios medžiagos, kurių net labai nedideli kiekiai sukelia gana didelius pokyčius augalų augimo ir vystymosi procesuose. Šios medžiagos didina augalų atsparumą ligoms, kenkėjams ir nepalankioms klimato sąlygoms, skatina geresnį maisto medžiagų pasisavinimą, todėl sumažinamas reikalingas trąšų kiekis ir taip bent iš dalies sprendžiamos ekosistemos tvarumo problemos. Vienos iš tokių bioaktyviųjų medžiagų – aminorūgštys, jos gali būti įterptos į dirvožemį arba užpurkštos ant augalų lapų. Aminorūgštys lengvai absorbuojamos ir tiesiogiai naudojamos baltymų sintezėje, todėl augale greitai pašalinamas maisto medžiagų trūkumas. Skystųjų trąšų gamybos technologijoje parenkant jų cheminę sudėtį, labai svarbus rodiklis yra druskų tarpusavio suderinamumas ir tirpumas, o viena iš pagrindinių skystąsias trąšas apibūdinančių savybių – kristalizacijos temperatūra. Atliekant įvairių druskų sistemų tirpumo tyrimus, pagal sočiųjų tirpalų, besikristalizuojančių 0 ℃ temperatūroje, koncentraciją, galima nustatyti galimą skystųjų trąšų sudėtį. Šiame darbe dolomitą skaidant azoto rūgštimi, gautą tirpalą neutralizuojant amoniakiniu vandeniu ir pridedant azoto turinčių komponentų, buvo pagamintos skystosios azoto-kalcio-magnio trąšos, kurių efektyvumui padidinti naudotas aminorūgščių koncentratas „Naturamin-WSP“. Laboratorinėmis sąlygomis pagaminti trąšų bandiniai su skirtinga aminorūgščių koncentracija ir nustatytos svarbiausios bioaktyviųjų skystųjų trąšų savybės: cheminė sudėtis, kristalizacijos tem peratūra, pH, klampa ir kt.

Abstract:

In 1934, after several years of struggle, the Orthodox community of Maribor was awarded a lot to construct a new sacral object on General Maister Square (then Yugoslavia Square) in Maribor, at the site of the recently removed monument dedicated to vice-admiral Wilhelm Tegetthoff. The square boasts a rich symbolic history, wherein the very names of the square have clearly indicated the identity of the city through time. The new government sought to modify public space in accordance with the new state – these spaces had to be given not only a Slovenian but also a Yugoslav outlook. The first modification was changing the square’s name to Yugoslavia Square, after which a Serbian Orthodox church was built in Serbian national architectural style by the architect Momir Korunović (1883–1969), who designed all three Serbian sacral objects in the province of Dravska Banovina (in Maribor, Ljubljana, and Celje). The Church of St. Lasarus was to be ideologically connected to the monument dedicated to King Aleksandar Karađorđević on Liberty Square, which would provide a clear Yugoslav identity to the city district. However, the construction of said monument was disabled by the beginning of the Second World War, while the church was destroyed by the Nazis in April 1941 and thus erased from local collective memory. Maribor was the northernmost city of Dravska Banovina and indeed the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, yet its public space still failed to reflect a “Yugoslav identity” in the 1930s. Local residents primarily identified as Roman Catholic, while the city was politically predominantly ruled by the Slovenian People’s Party which imposed additional difficulties on the process of selecting the new church’s location. This paper will, accounting for the city’s religious and political climate, present Maribor as a place that obtained one of the biggest and most prominently representative Orthodox sacral objects, despite the fact the Orthodox religion was not dominant in the area. The focus will be on the question of the role and reflection of the unitarian-centralist politics of Belgrade through religion (Orthodox faith) on public space modification, what factors and agents design such space (and memory of such space) and in what way, by analysing commissions and art styles within the context of public spaces of Maister Square and Liberty Square in Maribor.

Abstract:

Tarptautinės kavos organizacijos duomenimis, 2020 m. pasaulyje buvo suvartota daugiau negu 107 kg kavos pupelių. Daugiau-sia kavos suvartojama Europoje. Pradinio kavos apdorojimo ir gėrimo ruošimo metu susidaro daug įvairių atliekų: kavos uogų minkštimas, sidabrinė odelė, kavos tirščiai. Šiose atliekose yra daug įvairių cheminių elementų, tačiau jos vis dar nėra maksima-liai naudojamos pramonėje antriniams produktams gauti. Šiame darbe ištirtos ir įvertintos kavos tirščių, susidarančių tiek viešojo maitinimo įstaigose, tiek buityje, naudojimo granuliuotų trąšų gamyboje galimybės. Mokslinių tyrimų metu gauti rezultatai rodo, jog kavos tirščiuose yra ne tik pagrindinių augalų maisto medžiagų: azoto, fosforo bei kalio, tačiau juose aptinkama ir antrinių (kalcio, magnio, sieros) ir mikroelementų pėdsakų. Šio tyrimo metu iš kavinių surinkti kavos tirščiai buvo granuliuojami labora-toriniu būgniniu granuliatoriumi-džiovykla, papildomai iš anksto jų neapdorojus, t. y. nedžiovinus. Tokiu būdu siekiama išveng-ti papildomų energinių sąnaudų ir supaprastinti sandėliavimo sąlygas. Granulėms gauti buvo naudojami įvairios drėkinamosios-rišamosios medžiagos (vanduo, ortofosforo rūgštis ir kt.). Įvertinant maisto medžiagų poreikį augaluose, granuliuotoms trąšoms keliamus reikalavimus ir vien tik kavos tirščių granuliavimo rezultatus, buvo parinkti ir į granuliuoti ruošiamą žaliavų mišinį de-dami kitų organinės kilmės medžiagų priedai. Tyrimo metu nustatytos gauto granuliuoto produkto fizikinės savybės: granulio-metrinė mišinio sudėtis, piltinis tankis, drėgmės kiekis, prekinės frakcijos granulių stipris bei 10 % vandeninio tirpalo pH vertės.
