Abstract:

De nombreux éléments du patrimoine culturel haïtien sont liés au vodou. Celui-ci est considéré comme un élément central de la vision du monde traditionnelle du peuple haïtien, bien qu'au cours de son histoire il ait été refoulé, marginalisé et qu'il ait souvent fait l'objet d'actes de violence physique. Qu'il ait pu subsister en dépit des préjugés et des persécutions, seule l'histoire de ses porteurs (de tradition) qui le vivent concrètement peut aider à le comprendre.
