The Automated Information System for State Monitoring of Water Bodies provided an array of daily river flows in 12 sections of Kaliningrad Rivers for 2008-2018. The pair correlation coefficients between these flows were calculated. The coefficient values were quite high, with the exception of 2013 for the Mamonovka River. The most typical intra-annual distribution of runoff for the region was found in the Pregel River near the city of Chernyakhovsk by the highest average value of the correlation coefficient. It should be recommended as an analog for medium-sized rivers in the region. The most

(Cephaloziellaceae, Marchantiophyta) in Asia, the new species Cephaloziella konstantinovae Mamontov & Vilnet, sp. nov., from the eastern regions of Russia and from the Republic of Mongolia was discovered. The new species is formally described and illustrated here. Morphologically it is similar to C. divaricata var. asperifolia (Taylor) Damsh., but differs in its leaf shape and thin-walled, inflated stem and leaf cells. The new species can be distinguished from other Cephaloziella taxa by the following c

Abstract The matreshka designed by Sergei Maliutin and turned by Vasilii Zvezdochkin has fulfilled a precisely defined function from its inception in the late 1890s until today. Conceived as a material embodiment of national identity amid Abramtsevo’s revival of endemic Russian traditions, the stacking doll symbolized robust national fecundity. Produced and sold in the workshop Detskoe vospitanie [Children’s Upbringing] established by the Mamontov family, it promoted Russianness in a range of stacked dolls garbed in the ethnic dress of the country’s various regions. This paper discusses the Upper Palaeolithic sites situated in the Ural region within the chronological context, as well as their implications for our views on the occupational history of the Urals during the Upper Paleolithic. Two clusters of distribution of Upper Paleolithic sites have been identified: the Middle and the Southern Urals, located on the border between the East European Plain and the foothills of the western slope of the Urals and confined to the meridional parts of the valleys of the Kama and Belaya rivers and their tributaries. Estimating the dynamics of exogenous geological processes and understanding their controlling factors is an urgent task faced by many regions of the world. The paper presents the UAV monitoring results for short-term dynamics of complex exogenous processes at five key sites in the coastal zone south of the Bratsk reservoir. The study area is a part of the platform structure in the south of the Irkutsk amphitheater, which is considered to be relatively stable in terms of geodynamics. This article presents an annotated list of plant type specimens stored in the Herbarium of the IBPC SB RAS (SASY), which is one of the largest in northeast Russia. The Herbarium fund is represented by five departments (vascular plants, mosses, lichens, aphylophore fungi, and algae), where about 95000 herbarium samples are stored exluding algae tests. The Herbarium has a collection of plants from Western and Eastern Siberia, the Far East, and some central regions of Russia. The exchange fund contains more than 3000 species of plants. Typical samples stored in Herbaria are of a particular value.
