Abstract:
This study performs content analysis on an Android game titled Legend of the Phoenix. Legend of the Phoenix, commonly known as LoP, is an otome (girl) game released by Modo Game in 2020. Like most otome games, Legend of the Phoenix revolves around the journey of a young woman who is given a second chance at life after her first ends tragically. The player takes the role of this young woman and has to complete various missions and storylines in order to complete the game. This study aims to find messages about gender presented in the game by analyzing its visual and narrative content. It focuses on identifying female masculinity in the special recruitment group of Female General or Heroine. The game characters being analyzed are the four Generals in Legend of the Phoenix—Hua Mulan, Mu Guiying, Liang Hongyu, and Qin Liangyu. They are examined in terms of role, abilities, and appearance and their relation to the concept of female masculinity introduced by Halberstam. The result shows that the Female General belongs to Femme Pretender type. It means that the characters of Hua Mulan, Mu Guiying, Liang Hongyu, and Qin Liangyu possess masculine traits (role and abilities) while also keeping their female appearance (physical and outfit).

Abstract:
Abstract Shandong province is the leading peanut-producing province in China which in turn is the leading peanut-producing country in the world. Shandong Peanut Research Institute (SPRI), an institute of the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Science, has had an ongoing breeding program for more than 40 yr and is the source of the peanut cultivars that dominate production in Shandong province and northern China. About 75 peanut cultivars and breeding lines have been released in Shandong by SPRI and other institutions. The genetic base of Shandong peanut cultivars has been described as narrow. The objective of this study was to (a) determine the genetic contribution of main ancestors to the genetic base of Shandong peanut cultivars and (b) study the genetic relationships among the peanut cultivars released in Shandong province during 1950-1999. Twentysix ancestors were identified in the pedigrees of 69 improved lines, 24 ancestors of Chinese origin contributed 96.1% of the Shandong peanut genetic base, and two exotic introductions contributed only 3.6%. The four most important ancestors based on average coancestry with the 69 improved lines are Fu Hua Sheng (PI 436545), Shi Tou Qi (PI 430227 and PI 461435), Jianggezhuang Ban Man (PI 433351), and Shuyang Da Zhan Yang from which 67, 28, 27 and 19 lines were derived, respectively. Among the 20 dominant cultivars of Shandong province, recently released cultivars Lu Hua 14 and Lu Hua 15 have the lowest average coancestry with the others which means those two new cultivars' have the high genetic divergence. In contrast, the very popular cultivars Fu Hua Sheng, Baisha 1016, Xuzhou 68-4, Lu Hua 9, and the new cultivar 8130 were closely related to the other cultivars. The results suggest that the genetic base of Shandong peanut cultivars released before 1990 is narrow, but that cultivars released after 1990 have broadened the genetic base due to introduction and use of new germplasm in the pedigrees. This information will be used as a guide for peanut breeders in choosing parents and avoiding genetic vulnerability to pests. For new cross combinations, parents with low coefficients of coancestry should be chosen in order to keep enlarging the gene pool of the new cultivars.

Hua Chun, a Chinese Japanese female writer, embodies cross-border and cross-cultural characteristics in her creation. She pays attention to the ecological environment, chooses the theme of environmental protection, and chooses the “Earth Man” perspective to narrate. She shuttles between Japanese and Chinese cultures, transcends the embarrassment of personal and national sentiments and faces human nature directly. On the one hand, she actively integrates Japanese culture. On the other hand, she mourns the traditional Chinese culture. She creates a third space with mixed culture in her works through the cultural experience of crossing the border.

Abstract:
This paper involves an syncretic study of the structural characteristics, semantic stratification, graphical evolution and contextual analysis on a chronological base of the perplexing graphs and words which designate the Chinese, such as xia, hua and zhongguo, non-Chinese, such as yi, di, rong, and man, in early palaeographic and documentary sources. It shows how these terms evolved to distinguish between the two distinct ethnographical concepts in the early mind.The study shows that the conception of Hua-Xia and Zhongguo carried different connotations in the Western Zhou period from that defined in Spring and Autumn philological sources. The relocation of the Zhou capital to the east during the transition from Western to Eastern Zhou had generically diffused the concept of Xia and the elegant Ya culture. The conception of Xia and Yi, which had formerly distinguished between the Zhou elites and the non-Zhou people, came to distinguish between the central states and peripheral groups in the geographical sense, as well as between the Zhou subjects and the non-Zhou subjects in the political sense. Thus the conceptualisation of the so-called “Chinese-ness” postdates the actual formation of the ethnographical bulk of the Chinese people.

Abstract:
Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua, a source of Polygonati rhizoma, possesses multiple health-promoting properties and is widely used in food and medicine. This study aimed to elucidate the lifespan promotion abilities and potential mechanism of action of P. cyrtonema Hua polysaccharides (PCHPs) on Caenorhabditis elegans. The results revealed that PCHP had a molecular weight distribution of 8.77×103−1.84 × 106 Da and comprised Man, GalA, Glu, Gal, Xyl, and Ara in a molar ratio of 13.8 : 3.5 : 22.7 : 2.7 : 1:1.3. PCHP (5.0 mg/mL) markedly increased the lifespan of C. elegans by 15.78% ( p < 0.001), improved motility, and increased the resistance to heat stress, UV irradiation, and oxidative stress. PCHP also promoted healthy aging by attenuating the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and lipofuscin. Furthermore, PCHP upregulated the expression of oxidative stress- and aging-related genes, promoted the migration of DAF-16 into the nucleus, and exerted no effect on the lifespan of daf-2, daf-16, age-1, skn-1, and sir-2.1 mutants. These results indicate that the transcription factors DAF-16, SIR-2.1, and SKN-1 are required for PCHP-mediated lifespan extension in C. elegans. In conclusion, PCHP has the potential to attenuate the effects of aging, which can lay the foundation for aging treatment research with P. cyrtonema.

The film Mulan by Niki Caro tells the story of the struggle of a girl named Hua Mulan who disguises herself as a man to replace her sick father by joining the military service to protect the country from attacks by the Rouran Nation based on a decree issued by the Chinese empire. This study aims to get a description of how the moral values ​​contained in the main character Mulan are reflected in every action she takes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative because this research describes, explains and analyzes the data to answer each existing problem formulation. The data collection technique in this research was by watching the film Mulan, paying attention and recording every dialogue/sentence related to moral values. The writer then analyzes the research data based on the theory of moral values ​​which mentioned by Suseno (1987).The results of the study show that the character Mulan reflects moral values consisting of honesty, being yourself, being responsible, moral independence, moral courage, humility and criticality. As the main character, Mulan already reflects moral values that can be the basis and guide for human life in life.

Abstract:
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) safety and effectiveness can be ensured by establishing a suitable quality assessment system. This work aims to develop a pre-column derivatization HPLC method for Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua. quality control. In this study, 1-(4′-cyanophenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (CPMP) was synthesized and reacted with monosaccharides derived from P. cyrtonema polysaccharides (PCPs), followed by HPLC separation. According to the Lambert–Beer law, CPMP has the highest molar extinction coefficient of all synthetic chemosensors. A satisfactory separation effect was obtained under a detection wavelength of 278 nm using a carbon-8 column and gradient elution over 14 min, with a flow rate of 1 mL per minute. Glucose (Glc), galactose (Gal), and mannose (Man) make up the majority of the monosaccharide components in PCPs, and their molar ratios are 1.73:0.58:1. The confirmed HPLC method has outstanding precision and accuracy, establishing a quality control method for PCPs. Additionally, the CPMP showed a visual improvement from colorless to orange after the detection of reducing sugars, allowing for further visual analysis.

Asian scholars especially from Iran and China preserved most of the wisdom and knowledge of antiquity in their writing and they had great influence even on both European traditional and modern medical sciences. The current searching was done by the keywords in main indexing systems including PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus and Institute for Scientific Information Web of Science as well as the search engine of Google Scholar. Avicenna famous book was Canon, which reviewed all medical knowledge studied by the ancient Greek and Muslim scientists. Avicenna has introduced many medicinal plants and herbs and its knowledge influenced by both Eastern and Western traditional science. Rhazes was a great Persian alchemist, musician, mathematician, philosopher and physician. Bian Que was one of the most famous medical man and physician in ancient China who attached particular importance to the changes in the pulse examination. He is known as the founder of traditional Chinese medicine, and his four diagnostic methods were inspection, smelling and listening, inquiry, and palpation. Hua Tuo, Zhang Zhongjing, and Ge Hong were eclectic philosophers who dedicated his life to searching for physical immortality and traditional Chinese medicine, which he thought was attainable through alchemy. Sun Simiao also valued sanitation, exercise and disease prevention. Li Shizhen, a famous Chinese scholar who compiled a highly influential material medica. It is recommended to survey on their rules in different majors with details in future studies to make a better connection between modern and historical medical science.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the specifics of S. M. Tretyakov's creation of images of Chinese national costumes in arts journalistic works, written by him at the turn of the 1920s – 1930s. The relevance of the work determines the interest of modern literary criticism in the study of cultural intersections between Russia and China reflected in literature. The novelty of the work is due to the first attempt to analyze the peculiarities of the perception of Chinese culture (in this case, in terms of its everyday component) by the writer Tretyakov, who took a revolutionary position. The costume text of the cultural dilogy “Zhongguo” and “Deng Shi-hua” is distinguished by the author's desire to identify the authentic, deep features of Chinese culture and Chinese worldview. His attention is focused on the general Chinese cultural intentions, which he fixes and rejects as excessive and outdated – on traditionalism, on restraint, on the miniaturization of the costume and on the depersonalization of a person. The basis for creating the image of a costume by Tretyakov is a comparison and a metaphor. These tropes differ in his attitude to “decline”: the writer uses zoomorphic, gastronomic, objectifying comparisons, thereby pointing to the diminution of man in Chinese culture of the past and present against the background of the ongoing revolutionary changes.

Abstract:
The Man Mo Temple（文武廟）Compound on Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, which comprises three blocks, namely Man Mo Temple, Lit Shing Kung （列聖宮） and Kung Sor（公所）, were built in 1847 . The Temple was built mainly for the worship of Man Cheong (God of Literature, 文昌) and Mo Tai (God of Martial Arts, 武帝). It was important assembly hall where Chinese people discussed issues and resolved disputes in early colonial period. The Temple represented the traditional social organization and religious practices of the Chinese community in the past. The aim of this study examines the development of Man Mon Temple from 1840s to 1908. This thesis contains six main chapters. The first chapter is literature review of previous researches for Man Mo Temple, as well as presents the objectives and methodology of the thesis. The second chapter explores the reasons for its establishment. The third chapter describes the development of architecture of temple. The forth chapter describes and analyses the Guandi worship （關帝信仰）and Wenchang belief （文昌信仰）in Hong Kong. The fifth chapter evaluates the significance of Man Mo Temple on different periods. The temple provided religious service, also as sponsor the charitable work of the Chinese community. It analyses the change of the temple’s function in colonial period. The final chapter is a conclusion how the Man Mo Temple shift to accommodate changing needs of the colonial development.

Abstract:
Background: The world of today is immensely interconnected. Over the past decades, national economies have been de-bordered and the promoting of the flows of goods, people, capital and services across the borders is evident, as opposed to when flows only moved within national economies. Former vertical structures of old nations have been replaced by a horizontal flow structure in a complex and intertwined global economy. Attracting flows is essential for the growth and survival of cities. Hubs functions as important connection points for these flows and are therefore highly important. Research procedure: The purpose of this thesis is to describe how city regions function from a hub perspective by mapping the most important hubs in the Oresund Region, and investigating the connectivity and collaboration between these hubs. This study has a qualitative and inductive approach with a case study design and the empirical findings is based on twelve interviews with representatives of different fields. Results: The most important hubs were divided into three categories: transport, economic and infrastructure hubs, illustrated in the hub categorization model. The results indicate that there is a interconnectivity issue with interdependencies between the different hubs in the Oresund Region. This is illustrated through the hub relationship model. Collaboration seems to take place mostly within sectors and through the municipalities..

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to explore gay men's relationship with their parents before and after the revelation of their sexual orientation towards their parent(s). Six men, who voluntarily offered to participate in the study, were interviewed by means of a semi-structured interview. These interviews were initially tape recorded and there after transcribed by the researcher. To be included in the study the participants had to comply with the following criteria: i) they had to be male; ii) 18 years or older; iii) have revealed their sexual orientation towards one or both parents; vi) be English or Afrikaans speaking; v) reside within Paarl, Stellenbosch or Cape Town; and vi) accept that no remuneration would be received for participation in this research. The process by which data was analysed mainly included : The organisation of data, the generation of categories, themes and patterns, testing the emerging categories and patterns, seeking alternative explanations, and writing the final report. Findings from the research study include four main themes, with ten sub-themes identified. Firstly, the nature of the relationship between the mother and the gay son before disclosure of the sons' sexual orientation. The associated sub-themes were: i) Confirmation that the revelation was usually first made towards the mother or siblings, ii) the stadium of self-awareness and process of self-empowering of the son about his gay identity before disclosure towards the mother, iii) mentioning that the mother was aware of the sons' sexual preferences before disclosure, and iv) the relationship between mother and son and the supporting role that she plays within the parental context after disclosure. Secondly, the nature of the relationship between the father and the gay son before the revelation of the sons' sexual orientation. The associated sub-themes were: i) mention of a patriarchal system that existed within the parental relationship, which could be linked to the fathers' social perception, including, amongst others, homophobia, and ii) the father/son relationship after disclosure of the sons' sexual orientation. Thirdly, parental involvement regarding acceptance and support after disclosure of the sons' sexual orientation. The associated sub-themes are:i) the avoidance of the gay subject by the parents during communication within the family context, ii) the sensitivity and avoidance of discussions about lovers or companions within the family relationship, and iii) the regularity of contact between the parent(s) and their gay son after disclosure. Lastly, the nature of the relationship between the gay brother and his siblings before the revelation of his sexual orientation. The associated sub-theme were: i) the unconditional acceptance and support of the siblings. These themes are subsequently discussed in terms of existing research literature in this field of study.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die doel van hierdie studie was om die verhouding wat tussen gay mans en hul ouer(s) bestaan het voor en na openbaarmaking van die seun se seksuele orientasie aan die ouer(s), te verken. Ses mans wat vrywilliglik aangebied het tot deelname aan die ondersoek, is deur middel van 'n semi-gestruktureerde onderhoud ondervra. Hierdie onderhoude is eers op band geneem en daarna deur die navorser verbatim getranskribeer. Die riglyne vir insluiting tot die studie was dat die deelnemers aan die volgende kriteria moes voldoen: i) hulle moes manlik wees; ii) 18 jaar en ouer; iii) alreeds hul seksuele orientasie teenoor een of beide ouers bekend gemaak het; iv) Engels of Afrikaanssprekend; v) woonagtig in Paarl, Stellenbosch of Kaapstad; en vi) aanvaar het dat geen besoldiging vir deelname aan die navorsing ontvang sal word nie. Die proses van data-analise het hoofsaaklik ingesluit: Die organisering van data; die generering van kategoriee, temas en patrone; die toetsing van sigbaarwordende temas; soeke na alternatiewe verduidelikings en die skryf van die finale verslag. Bevindinge uit die navorsingstudie sluit in vier hooftemas met tien subtemas wat gei'dentifiseer is. Eerstens, die aard van die verhouding tussen moeder en gay seun voor die openbaarmaking van die seun se seksuele orientasie. Die geassosieerde subtemas was: i) die bevestiging dat die openbaarmaking meestal eerstens teenoor die moeder of sibbe sou geskied, (ii) die selfbewustheidstadium en die selfbemagtigingsproses van die seun ten opsigte van sy gay identiteit voor die openbaarmaking teenoor dikwels die moeder, (iii) die vermelding dat die moeder bewus was van die seun se seksuele orientasie reeds voor openbaarmaking, en (iv) die moeder-en-seun-verhouding en die ondersteunende rol wat sy binne ouerverband inneem na bekendwording van die seun se seksuele orientasie. Tweedens, die aard van die verhouding tussen vader en gay seun voor openbaarmaking van die seun se seksuele orientasie. Die geassosieerde subtemas was: (i) die vermelding van 'n patriargale sisteem wat binne gesinsverband bestaan het, en wat ook saamhang met die vader se sosiale persepsies wat onder andere homofobie insluit, en (ii) die vader-en-seun-verhouding na die bekendwording van die seun se seksuele orientasie. Derdens, ouerbetrokkenheid in terme van aanvaarding en ondersteuning na bekendwording van die seun se seksuele orientasie. Die subtemas wat hieruit gevloei het, was: (i) die kommunikatiewe vermyding van die gay onderwerp deur die ouer(s) binne gesinsverband, (ii) die sensitiwiteit en vermyding van gesprekke oor minnaars of metgeselle binne ouerverband, en (iii) die gereeldheid van kontak tussen ouer(s) en gay seun na bekendwording van die seun se seksuele orientasie. Laastens, die aard van die verhouding tussen gay broer en sibbe voor openbaarmaking van die broer se seksuele orientasie. Die geassosieerde subtema was: (i) die onvoorwaardelike aanvaarding en ondersteuning deur die sibbe. Die temas is vervolgens bespreek in terme van bestaande navorsingsliteratuur oor die onderwerp.

Abstract:
Aims: To elucidate the aetiopathological mechanisms underlying the IIMs, through a combination of genotyping, serotyping and clinical phenotyping in a large cohort of Caucasian idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM) patients. Methods: A cross-sectional study of prevalent IIM cases, ascertained through the Adult Onset Myositis Immunogenetic Collaboration, was performed. Cases were confirmed as possessing myositis according to Bohan and Peter (Bohan and Peter 1975a; Bohan and Peter 1975b). IIM clinical subtypes studied included polymyositis (PM), dermatomyositis (DM) and myositis associated with other connective tissue disease (myositis/CTD-overlap). Genotyping of major histocompatibility complex genes, including HLA-B, -DR, -DQ, tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), was performed using commercial kits. Serotyping of a comprehensive range of myositis specific/associated antibodies (MSA/MAAs) was undertaken. Results: Clinical subsets are described within the serological groupings, suggesting that the classification of the IIMs appears to be better served by the serotype than by the clinical subgrouping of disease. The IIMs possess HLA class I and II haplotype associations and genetic differences observed between PM and DM are accounted for by serological differences. The TNF-308A association is not independent of HLA class I, due to the strong LD within the MHC, but does form part of a haplotype with these factors. An absence of routinely tested for MSA/MAAs makes cancer associated myositis (CAM) more likely, especially in the DM subgroup. An antibody against a 155 and 140kDa doublet is associated with the development of CAM. Outcome measures in the IIMs show construct validity. HLA-DRB1*07 appears to predict a milder clinical phenotype with less disability. No convincing gene-environmental interaction was found capable of altering disease susceptibility or clinical phenotype. Conclusions: Myositis disease subtypes therefore appear to be defined by specific haplotypes acting as risk factors for the development of various MSAs and MAAs.

Cette thèse qui se veut une étude d'éthnologie médicale des Tai͏̈ de Mai Châu s'articule en six chapîtres. Le premier chapître présente la région faite de vallées rizicoles entourées de montagnes calcaires et sa population où les Tai͏̈ sont majoritaires. Le deuxième expose la conception cosmologique et la conception du corps vivant composé de ses parties animées par les esprits vitaux. Le troisième présente les spécialistes de rituels, très demandés par les villageois à la fois comme officiants et guérisseurs. Dans le quatrième chapître, on analyse les diverses cérémonies de traitement et de prévention de maladies, tant au niveau individuel qu'au niveau familial. . . Le cinquième chapître porte sur l'utilisation des plantes médicinales et sur les herbalistes. Le sixième donne un aperçu des pratiques médicales modernes telles qu'elles sont vécues. .
The Tai͏̈ of Mai chau (Hoà Binh, Vietnam) belong linguistically and ethnographically to the Tai͏̈ Dèng group. Like other branches of Tai͏̈ in Vietnam,i,d, the Tai͏̈ Dam or the Black Tai͏̈, the Tai͏̈ Khao or the White Tai͏̈; and the Tai͏̈ Yo, they are not adherents of Buddhism, share however the common belief in supernatural powers. This dissertation, whose aim is to ethnologically study the medical practice at Mai Chau, is organized into six chapters. The first chapter deals with an area which practices valley rice culture, surrounded by limestone mountains and its population with the Tai͏̈ as a major group. The second describes the cosmology and concepts of the huaman body unfair which supernatural powers intervene. The third chapter describes the ritual specialists, who are very much popular among the villagers, both as ritual officers and healers. The fourth chapter discusses the various rituals as treament techniques, both individually and with the family. . . The fifth chapter discusses must specifically about herb treatment and also about herbalists. The sixth chapter is a general survey on the modern medical practice as they are really lived. .

We studied how much blue, green, or red light had to be subtracted from or added to white (CIE 1931 chromaticity coordinates x = 0.35 and y = 0.35) to obtain veridical hue perception (blue, green, red, or their complementary colors) at various eccentricities in the temporal visual field. The smallest increment/decrement necessary for veridical hue perception was expressed as a linear distance from the white in chromaticity coordinates. When the stimulus had the same retinal size at all eccentricities, in the discrimination threshold (linear distance in chromaticity coordinates) increased toward the periphery of the visual field. However, when the stimulus was M-scaled by magnifying it with increasing eccentricity in inverse proportion to the density distribution of ganglion-cell receptive fields across the human retina,1 the discrimination threshold became independent of visual field location.

The development of hardware needs cost reduction by shortening a development period and reducing experimental man-hour. In order to satisfy these demands, thermal fluid analysis with higher accuracy in short time is indispensable for product development. At present, thermal fluid analyses are conducted using different software tools. Each software tool requires model building and meshing for simulations using its own format. That leads to a large investment in time, and therefore cost. VPS/Simulation-Hub software Fujitsu developed is able to convert data from various CADs. It has the features to create a data fitting to numerical analysis software, create an accurate analysis model, and delete unnecessary components. With these main features, VPS/Simulation-Hub greatly contributes to the man-hour reduction for model building and the improvement of analytical accuracy. In this paper, VPS/Simulation-Hub is introduced with the detail explanation of the above 3 main features.

Inom ramen för det VINNOVA-finansierade projektet ”Hållbar distribution i e-handeln: Hur kan klimatsmarta leveransalternativ underlättas” (HELSMART) har syftet varit att ta fram kunskap om hur e-handlare kan utforma och presentera klimatsmarta leveransalternativ till konsumenter för att minimera klimatpåverkan från e-handelsdistributionen, och på så sätt bidra till ett fossilfritt samhälle. I denna rapport presenteras resultaten från projektet, som pågått under 2020-2023 och som varit ett samarbete mellan Linköpings Universitet och Stockholms Universitet. Projektet har kombinerat olika datainsamlingsmetoder, vilket gett möjlighet att förstå utmaningen med hållbara e-handelsleveranser ur olika perspektiv. Metoderna inkluderar dels en genomgång av e-handlares hemsidor, dels fallstudier och intervjuer med e-handlare, logistikföretag och transportplattformsföretag, och dels konsumentdata från faktiska köp före och efter introduktionen av ”miljömärkning” av leveranser. Sammantaget har det här projektet följt utvecklingen av miljömässigt hållbar e-handelsdistribution i en svensk kontext under de senaste nästan fyra åren. Resultaten visar att det finns en enorm komplexitet kopplat till miljömässigt hållbara leveransalternativ. För att belysa denna komplexitet så presenteras i rapporten en process som beskriver tre steg för att kunna utforma och presentera klimatsmarta leveransalternativ till konsumenter. Dessa innefattar: Identifiera miljömässigt hållbara leveransalternativ, Erbjuda miljömässigt hållbara leveransalternativ till konsumenter, och Vägleda konsumenters val av miljömässigt hållbara leveransalternativ. Genomgång av de tre stegen leder sedan fram till en avslutande diskussion där fyra centrala budskap lyfts. För det första är det inte självklart vad som menas med miljömässigt hållbar leverans. Här finns t.ex. oklarheter i vad man är ute efter att minimera när man vill uppnå miljömässigt hållbara leveranser, och om och hur det går att jämföra olika logistikföretags utsläpp på ett rättvisande sätt. För det andra så befinner sig e-handlarna inte i ett vakuum utan är beroende av andra aktörer, vilket gör att de slutgiltiga utsläppen beror på beslut från en mängd olika och starkt skilda beslutsfattare. För det tredje så skapar externa märkningar transparens, samtidigt som de riskerar att skapa förvirring. För samtidigt som externa märkningar har sina fördelar, så kan de också leda till att för många typer av miljömässigt hållbara leveransalternativ kommuniceras parallellt. För det fjärde så visar resultaten att hållbara leveransalternativ är viktiga för konsumenter, men inte lika viktigt som allt annat. Men genom att placera det miljömässigt hållbara leveransalternativet högst upp i checkouten och markera det som förvalt, så ökar sannolikheten för att konsumenter ska välja detta alternativ. Små knuffar på tillräckligt många kan på sikt ha enormt stor effekt på totala utsläpp.

Denna rapport sammanfattar det vetenskapliga kunskapsläget när det gäller ämnet en hållbar kost och hållbar matkonsumtion. En hållbar kost kan definieras som en kost som främjar individers hälsa och välbefinnande, har en låg miljöpåverkan, är tillgänglig, prisvärd, säker och, rättvis, samt kulturellt acceptabel. Tyngdpunkten i den här rapporten ligger på miljöeffekter kopplade till svensk matkonsumtion. En kosts miljömässiga hållbarhet kan utvärderas på flera sätt. Ett vanligt sätt är att först beräkna eller sammanställa miljöpåverkan per kg från de livsmedel som ingår i kosten och sedan multiplicera dessa med den mängd livsmedel som ingår i kosten under en viss tidsperiod. Man kan studera enskilda individers kost, den genomsnittliga kosten för olika grupper inom befolkningen eller befolkningen i stort. Man kan också studera miljöpåverkan från olika teoretiska eller typiska kostmönster, till exempel en kost som är utformad för att minska miljöpåverkan eller en typisk vegetarisk eller vegansk kost. Vad som är relevant att studera beror på vilken frågeställning man vill ha svar på. Huruvida en viss kost är hälsosam eller inte kan studeras i epidemiologiska studier eller genom att jämföra kosten mot kostrekommendationer per livsmedelsgrupp och/eller innehållet av olika näringsämnen. Sociala aspekter kopplade till olika kostmönster är ofta mer svårstuderade och det finns få studier på detta område. Produktion av livsmedel påverkar miljön på många olika sätt. De flesta studier som utvärderat miljöpåverkan från koster beaktar endast ett fåtal miljöaspekter, vanligtvis klimat, markanvändning och vattenanvändning. För att belysa fler viktiga aspekter kring en kosts miljöpåverkan, samt fånga eventuella målkonflikter, kan det vara bra att använda fler indikatorer och/eller komplettera med ytterligare analyser. I rapporten presenteras en rekommendation från en grupp internationella experter att utöver klimatpåverkan och vattenanvändning, även inkludera påverkan på biologisk mångfald från markanvändning (snarare än bara markanvändning som en indikator för hur mycket mark som används), toxiska effekter från användning av bekämpningsmedel samt exploatering av vilda fiskebestånd. För att resultat från hållbarhetsutvärderingar ska bli användbara i olika beslutssituationer måste förenklingar ofta göras, till exempel genom att välja ut ett fåtal indikatorer, eller genom att slå ihop olika indikatorer till index eller på annat sätt aggregera resultaten. Exempel på hur det kan göras redovisas i rapporten. Det finns flera utmaningar när det gäller att göra en sammanvägd bedömning av vad som är hälsosamma och hållbara livsmedel och kostmönster. Dels är det en utmaning att välja ett begränsat, men tillräckligt, antal relevanta indikatorer. Sedan ska indikatorerna på något sätt räknas samman och viktas, och för bäst resultat även jämföras mot något slags referensvärde för vad som är ”högt” och ”lågt” för olika indikatorer.Oundvikligen så innebar bedömningar av vad som är hållbara livsmedel och koster en rad normativa beslut som kommer att påverka resultaten. Verktyg måste också anpassas till olika användare och sammanhang för att vara användbara och relevanta. På den svenska livsmedelsmarknaden finns det tiotusentals olika livsmedel. Det är ett mycket stort arbete att beräkna miljöpåverkan från alla dessa med stor noggrannhet och sedan hålla dessa beräkningar uppdaterade. Därför får man ofta nöja sig med ungefärliga värden för olika livsmedelsgrupper och råvaror när man ska beräkna miljöpåverkan från olika koster. Ofta räcker det långt för att få en uppfattning om vad som är stort och smått i kostens miljöpåverkan. I denna rapport redovisas miljöberäkningar från SAFAD-verktyget (https://safad.se/), ett webbaserat verktyg för att räkna miljöavtryck för ett stort antal råvaror och livsmedel. Dessa (och andra) beräkningarna visar att majoriteten av växtbaserade råvaror har betydligt lägre klimatavtryck än animaliska livsmedel. För tillfört nytt kväve och fosfor, som används som grova indikatorer för övergödning, ser mönstret liknande ut, det vill säga högre påverkan för animalieråvarorna generellt än för de växtbaserade. Detta beror på den stora mängd foder som används i animalieproduktionen. Foderproduktionen innebär en stor tillförsel av kväve via kvävefixerande växter och mineralgödsel. En betydande del av detta kväve och fosfor läcker ut från jordbrukssystemet och orsakar skada i ekosystem på land och i vatten. För typiska maträtter kommer mellan 50-95 procent av utsläppen av växthusgaser från jordbruksproduktionen, medan resten utgörs av utsläpp från förädling, tillagning, paketering och transport. De flesta frukter, grönsaker och rotfrukter samt mjölk har hög avkastning per ytenhet och får på så sätt en låg åkermarksanvändning per kg produkt. För nötter, men även baljväxter, är det stor variation i hur mycket åkermark som krävs för att producera ett kg och variationen beror på variation i skörd. Kött från idisslare har ofta en hög åkermarksanvändning i jämförelse med övriga råvaror. Det beror på att idisslare äter mycket foder som till stor del odlas på åkermark. I Sverige sker också en stor del av betet på åkermark (i stället för betesmark), speciellt inom mjölkproduktionen. Hög åkermarksanvändning behöver dock inte bara vara negativt. Det beror på var och hur användningen sker. Vissa vilda djur- och växtarter är knutna till jordbrukslandskapet så bevarande av åkermark i vissa regioner kan vara viktigt för den biologiska mångfalden. För blåvattenkonsumtion, bekämpningsmedelsanvändning och biologisk mångfald från markanvändningen är det inte samma generella skillnad i miljöpåverkan mellan kött från idisslare och andra råvaror. Generellt kräver produktion av nötter mycket bevattning och blåvattenkonsumtionen blir hög per kg råvara. Vattenkonsumtionen per kg gröda är också ofta betydligt högre i varma länder. Även bekämpningsmedelsanvändningen är hög för nötter, här är dock data mycket osäkra. Hur stor påverkan på biologisk mångfald från markanvändningen blir beror dels på hur mycket mark som produktionen kräver, samt var produktionen sker. Högst påverkan av alla råvaror har lammkött från Nya Zealand, Grekland, Spanien och Italien. Lammkött från Nordeuropa (inklusive Sverige) har betydligt lägre negativ påverkan på biologisk mångfald från markanvändningen och bidrar också med positiva värden om betet sker på naturbetesmark. Andra råvaror som orsakar stor negativ påverkan på den biologiska mångfalden från markanvändningen är lågavkastande grödor från Sydeuropa (till exempel nötter och baljväxter från Spanien) eller produkter från tropiska regioner (till exempel kaffe från Indonesien, Peru, Indien och Brasilien, och kokosnöt från Filippinerna, Indonesien och Indien, samt bananer från Ecuador och Costa Rica). Den svenska kostens klimatpåverkan har studerats i ett flertal studier och resultaten visar att klimatpåverkan från den svenska medelkosten för den vuxna befolkningen ligger i spannet 1,8 till 2,2 ton CO2-ekvivalenter per person och år, vilket är högt i ett internationellt perspektiv. Även för annan miljöpåverkan har den svenska kosten en relativt hög påverkan. För att minska miljöpåverkan från maten behövs en rad åtgärder. Forskning visar att det är svårt att nå klimat- och miljömål utan en kombination av åtgärder. Det finns ett antal övergripande strategier som är nödvändiga: 1. Förbättra livsmedelsproduktionen genom att öka produktiviteten, införa olika typer av tekniska lösningar och använda bästa möjliga management 2. Värna ekosystemen genom att förhindra ytterligare avskogning i regioner där den biologiska mångfalden påverkats negativt av avskogning, samt värna jordbrukslandskapet diversitet och biologisk mångfald 3. Förändra konsumtionsmönstren genom att minska konsumtionen av animaliska produkter, minska överkonsumtionen, öka konsumtion av ekologiska produkter, minska konsumtion av råvaror från känsliga tropiska regioner, välja fisk från hållbara bestånd och kött från djur som bevarar biologiskt och kulturellt värdefull naturbetesmark 4. Denna rapport fokuserar på två huvudfrågor: Hur man hittar dataset och var forskare från Linköpings universitet (LiU) deponerar sina forskningsdata. Forskningsdata utgör grunden för vetenskapliga analyser och resultatvalidering. Dessutom förbättrar återanvändningen av forskningsdata forskningens effektivitet och påskyndar utvecklingen av vetenskaplig kunskap. Publicering av forskningsdata har blivit allt viktigare för forskare idag och att genom att publicera sina forskningsdata visa på sina vetenskapliga framsteg. Rapporten inleds med en översikt över forskningsdatalandskapet som betonar vikten av tillgänglighet och sökbarhet genom att följa FAIR-principerna (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) och konkreta rekommendationer för att hitta dataset ges. Sedan undersöks både generella och ämnesspecifika repositorier, och sökmotorer för dataset. Genom en metodologisk analys identifierades över 350 dataset från LiU-forskare, främst deponerade i Figshare, Zenodo och Dryad. Fördelningen av forskarnas institutionella affiliering har identifierats och anlyserats. Rapporten lyfter fram behovet av tydliga riktlinjer för LiU-forskare om datasetdeponering och betonar fortsatt arbete för att övervinna utmaningar i det fragmenterade forskningsdatalandskapet.

This map presents the impact evaluations contained in the 3ie Evidence Hub for Pakistan in a framework with interventions adapted from the Pakistan 2025 strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as outcomes. The most well-represented area is human capital interventions and outcomes, most notably health, but also including many studies for education (including cash transfers). Other well-represented areas are gender and, to a lesser extent, microfinance. All these are areas in which a country-level synthesis may be of interest. Beyond this, the map mostly shows gaps—areas where there are no impact evaluations despite there being many interventions in these areas that are amenable to rigorous impact evaluation, such as rural roads and water management.

Increasingly, both industry and academia, in fields ranging from biology and social sciences to computing and engineering, are driven by data (Provost & Fawcett, 2013; Wixom, et al, 2014); and both commercial success and academic impact are dependent on having access to data. Many organizations collecting data lack the expertise required to process it (Hazen, et al, 2014), and, thus, pursue data sharing with researchers who can extract more value from data they own. For example, a biosciences company may benefit from a specific analysis technique a researcher has developed. At the same time, researchers are always on the search for real-world data sets to demonstrate the effectiveness of their methods. Unfortunately, many data sharing attempts fail, for reasons ranging from legal restrictions on how data can be used—to privacy policies, different cultural norms, and technological barriers. In fact, many data sharing partnerships that are vital to addressing pressing societal challenges in cities, health, energy, and the environment are not being pursued due to such obstacles. Addressing these data sharing challenges requires open, supportive dialogue across many sectors, including technology, policy, industry, and academia. Further, there is a crucial need for well-defined agreements that can be shared among key stakeholders, including researchers, technologists, legal representatives, and technology transfer officers. The Northeast Big Data Innovation Hub (NEBDIH) took an important step in this area with the recent "Enabling Seamless Data Sharing in Industry and Academia" workshop, held at Drexel University September 29-30, 2016. The workshop brought together representatives from these critical stakeholder communities to launch a national dialogue on challenges and opportunities in this complex space.

För mer än tio år sedan startade kommunal räddningstjänst det första initiativet där civila engagerades som första insatspersoner – Förstärkt Medmänniska i Medelpad. Sedan dess har konceptet – civila insatspersoner (CIP) spridit sig till ett tjugotal räddningstjänster, i glesbygd och på landsbygd men även till urbana miljöer genom ett initiativ taget av Södertörns Brandsvarsförbund. Både de räddningstjänster som tillämpar konceptet och myndigheter som Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap (MSB) och SOS Alarm är överens om nyttan CIP tillför genom att förkorta responstider, rädda liv och egendom. Trots detta har konceptet inte fått den spridning man hoppats på. Vi vet att hindren är både organisatoriska och specifikt relaterade till utlarmning med hjälp av existerande IT-stöd, appar eller SMS-listor. I den här studien utforskar vi dessa hinder vidare. Vi ger också ett antal förslag på hur de identifierade hindren kan hanteras. Detta genom att genomföra en kvalitativ intervjustudie där vi jämför och kontrasterar perspektiv från myndigheter, räddningstjänst, kommersiella app-utvecklare och de civila insatspersonerna själva (slutanvändare). Vi beskriver både organisatoriska och IT-relaterade hinder och hur de hänger samman. De centrala organisatoriska hindren handlar dels om konkreta utmaningar där det inte finns någon budget eller tid allokerad för att arbeta med CIP-konceptet där det finns viss ovana av förändringsarbete. De handlar också om kulturellt motstånd, det vill säga upplevd konkurrens från CIP vilket gör att initiativen kan sakna stöd både från ledningsnivå i räddningstjänster och från brandmän på operativ nivå. Legala aspekter är också centralt där det för närvarande existerar olika tolkningar av lagstiftning runt ansvar för arbetsmiljö. När det gäller IT-stöden är vissa hinder rent tekniska och relaterar till svårigheter med att få till en korrekt geofencing och att utveckla appar som ska fungera – inte bara på en enhet utan på olika mobila lösningar som ägs av privatpersoner (Iphone, Android i olika versioner). Andra hinder hänger ihop med organisatoriska frågor och konkurrens på den privata marknaden. Exempelvis har SOS Alarm en dubbel roll som privat och statlig aktör och har en app och ett application programming interface (API) under utveckling. De kommersiella leverantörerna kan inte leverera till samma låga kostnad som SOS Alarm och kommer inte åt vissa funktioner (till exempel att dra tillbaka resurser om en situation eskalerar till något farligt). Samtidigt var SOS Alarms app vid tiden för studien inte färdig. Detta sätter räddningstjänsterna i en olycklig situation utvecklingsmässigt och de får fortsätta förlita sig på de SMS-listor som egentligen endast var tänkt som en initial lösning. Vi föreslår ett antal åtgärder för att adressera hindren där de viktigaste är att MSB tar en koordinerande roll, och upprättandet av samverkansgrupper bestående av representanter för samtliga aktörer som ska vara med och driva konceptet, inklusive civila insatspersoner, kommunal räddningstjänst, SOS Alarm, socialtjänst, försäkringsbolag och fastighetsägare. Vi argumenterar också för hur man kan nyttja existerande kunskapsnätverk för CIP mer effektivt erfarenhetsutbyte. När det gäller ett gemensamt API är ett släppande av detta centralt för att utlarmning ska fungera, konceptet expandera – och överleva över tid. Här föreslår vi expertgrupper med representanter för myndigheter, systemutvecklare, app-leverantörer, SOS Alarm och inte minst slutanvändare. Vi ser också att tiden är mogen för dynamisk resursallokering, det vill säga att när CIP:ar blir fler måste det bli möjligt att larma ut på kompetens och specialisering (till exempel för att undvika larmtrötthet i storstadsområden) men att övriga hinder måste adresseras först. Vidare i ett teoretiskt perspektiv diskuterar vi våra resultat i termer av ”digitalized co-production” (digitaliserad samproduktion). Co-production är ett sätt att involvera samhällsmedborgare i tjänsteutveckling i offentlig sektor där expansion och nya former möjliggörs av ökad digitalisering. Här tar vi ett delvis annat perspektiv där vi i stället tittar på när digitalisering och IT blir hinder för samproduktionen. Vi argumenterar också för att CIP är en helt ny, framväxande hybridform av co-production som behöver starkare styrning än traditionell co-production. Här kan vår studie bidra till successiv ackumulering av kunskap.

Of the two billion people worldwide lacking access to at least basic sanitation, seven out of ten live in rural areas. Progress has been made on increasing rural sanitation and access levels are rising, but barriers remain in reaching the ‘last mile’ or some 10 to 20 per cent of the population who live in the most challenging contexts. The factors affecting the ability of households to construct and use toilets, as well as the challenges sanitation programmes face in reaching specific groups, are highly diverse. Applying one-size fits all approaches has been proven not to work; therefore, we need more nuanced, adapted, and targeted approaches to capture the universality element of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensure that no one is left behind. However, we recognise that challenges can be persistent and there are limited documented examples of how to overcome these challenges at scale. The Sanitation Learning Hub, UNICEF, and WaterAid commissioned this study to map rural sanitation approaches in challenging contexts and the guidance currently being used, drawing out emerging experiences and lessons. It involved key informant interviews (KIIs) with 44 interviewees, and consulting over 180 documented resources. This Learning Brief provides an overview of the study findings.

Abstract:
Genom att separera gödseln får man gödselfiber (fiberströ) som kan användas som strömedel till mjölkkorna. I denna studie jämförde vi 17 gårdar som använde fiberströ med 17 gårdar som använde såg-/kutterspån som strömedel i liggbås till mjölkkor. Fiberströ jämfört med såg-/kutterspån påverkade inte mjölkmängd, celltal i tankmjölk, djurvälfärd eller djurhälsa förutom att klövhälsan var bättre eftersom totala anmärkningar, klöveksem och klövsulesår var lägre. Totalantalet bakterier var högre i oanvänt fiberströ och i fiberströ från liggbåsen än för såg-/kutterspån men i tankmjölken var det ingen skillnad. Kostnaden för fiberströ varierade för gårdarna beroende på hur mycket fiberströ som producerades.
