Vegetation and environment relationships were investigated on man-made earth islands in July and August of 1985 and 1986. The islands were built by Ducks Unlimited Canada to provide upland nesting cover for waterfowl. Twenty islands distributed throughout 12 wetlands (sloughs) were studied. Abstract:
The work provides data on the mineralogical and microelement composition of biliary neoplasms. We studied gallstones (choleoliths) from eight residents of Yakutia, obtained using external lithotripsy in medical clinics in Yakutsk. The mineral composition of the studied choleoliths is represented by cholesterol, carbonates and calcium phosphates. Trace element impurities in gallstones are in descending order: Zn&gt;Mn&gt;Cu&gt;Ni&gt;Pb&gt;Cd&gt;As&gt;Ti, Zr, Bi.
