An analysis of literary sources and existing practical experience indicates that one of the effective means of developing and improving the special physical qualities of cadets - future combat command officers - is the targeted use of the wide possibilities of swimming. Meanwhile, although the physical training programs for cadets, future combat command officers, contain a large number of different swimming exercises, their use is carried out mainly for the purpose of improving general physical fitness.
