Abstract:
The study emphasizes the importance of Management information systems (MIS) for corporate performance. Prior studies have been reviewed to substantiate theories that explain how Management information systems (MIS) affect corporate performance. Management information system (MIS) is providing information that relates to possible future events, efficiency, output rates, information on the effect of various events, that relate to the impact that the employees’ decision has on the performance of other departments. Furthermore, greater management information system capability leads to a higher degree of strategic performance. These and many other factors are suggested to be critical features of MIS that have a direct impact on financial and strategic performance of companies.

Abstract:
Management Information Systems (MIS) are widely used in big corporations to collect, organize, filter and present data, resulting in more effective decision-making. Through use of MIS, individuals shape the way how they make decisions. In our study, we posit that utilization of MIS in the decision-making process impacts the decision support capabilities of systems. The use of MIS develops speed, quality, and other features of decision-making. Moreover, improvement in decision-making is aimed to ensure customer satisfaction and good business results. All MIS strategies should therefore be tailored in a way that the all business goals are achieved.

Abstract:
Abstract. Digitalization, enhanced storage capacities, and the Internet of Things increase the volume of data in modern organizations. To process and make use of these data and to avoid information overload, management information systems (MIS) are introduced that collect, process, and analyze relevant data. However, a precondition for the application of MIS is that users trust them. Extending accounts of trust in automation and trust in technology, we introduce a new model of trust in MIS that addresses the conceptual ambiguities of existing conceptualizations of trust and integrates initial empirical work in this field. In doing so, we differentiate between perceived trustworthiness of an MIS, experienced trust in an MIS, intentions to use an MIS, and actual use of an MIS. Moreover, we consider users’ perceived risks and contextual factors (e. g., autonomy at work) as moderators. The introduced model offers guidelines for future research and initial suggestions to foster trust-based MIS use.

The process of collecting information is worthless if it doesn't benefit the firm or serve any purpose. Management information systems(MIS) involve the use of set of protocols which are applied on data/information to generate intelligent business solutions. This study reviews the role of MIS in cloud computing and the impact it has globally. MIS products and cloud companies have been researched in detail. In this regard, some of the world's top cloud based service firms have been reviewed thoroughly, including their workforce resources. Additionally, new and upcoming MIS product details have been explored along with their launching dates. It is important to note that cloud services as old as 20 years have also been discussed in this review. Discussions have been made with reference to MIS need, problems and products to solve these problems. Currently, MIS along with cloud computing is unfolding vague patterns, inventing new ideas and ensuring business success. Since cloud computing is the future of internet, the paper provides insights to the future of cloud giants and impact of these globally.

It is widely acknowledged that traditional teaching methods such as lectures, textbooks and case study techniques on their own are not adequate to improving the most in-demand employability skills for graduates. The aim of this article is to explore the potential impact that novel learning and teaching methods can have on improving the employability skills of Management Information System (MIS) graduates. To do so, the article reports the results of an experiment that was conducted with MIS students at the Faculty of Business and Economics in Qatar University, that combined lectures, case study-based workshops, flipped classrooms, presentations, problem-based learning and collaborative learning. The findings of this experiment suggest that known methods of classroom-based learning and teaching used for MIS graduates are failing to develop important graduate skills such as, critical thinking, time management and how to conduct research when faced with challenging problems.

Abstract:
Information Systems today are dominated by large amounts of computing infrastructure often mapping business processes to people and data. The conversion of this data into meaningful information is fairly well established, although these systems have not been extensively exploited within developing countries. Even in developed economies, where resources and experience flourish, many still struggle with moving from information management to knowledge management. Given that knowledge is posited as the new organizational wealth, it becomes important to integrate knowledge into improving the business and its operations. In this study, a comprehensive process model that guides the conversion of an existing information system to a knowledge management system is developed and evaluated. This is primarily applicable in the developing country context. The results indicate that the model sufficiently represents and organizes the activities to be carried out to meet the desired outcome of converting an existing information system into a knowledge management system.

Information System (IS) has always been mixed up and confused with Management Information System (MIS) by many Information Technology professionals, and even in definitions ascribed to them thereby puzzling many users of Information Technology (IT). It should however, be noted that IS deals with the generality of the process of generating information from data; and MIS is definite about information generation for the use of management to enable them to efficiently / effectively plan, organize, direct, control and govern organisations. Any organisation lacking good IS and MIS for effective management of its functions / activities would be seriously handicapped, and as such could be doomed for collapse. Many modern organisations may be culprits of possessing the needed information for effective management of their enterprise, thereby denying the establishment of achieving its goals. It is a fact that achievement of organisational goals are synonymous with success of the enterprise, and management is required to attain the goals established with the directors of the company.

Abstract:
Accounting information systems (AIS) are collections of activities from organizations that are responsible for providing financial information obtained from data transactions for computer-based reporting purposes. So an accounting information system (AIS) is part of a Management Information System (MIS) that is responsible for financial statements and data transactions. Whereas the Management Control System (MCS) is a system used by management including methods, procedures, and strategies to collect, analyze information, evaluate and use it, as well as other actions to exercise control. The explanation above shows that information (accounting information and additional information) is needed by management to control in the company. This study provides a concept regarding Accounting Information Systems, Management Control Systems, and Company Performance. When the management control process is right, then the company's performance in increasing management control systems can provide information in an adequate communication structure so that it can be used as a basis for decision making. Decision making supported by accurate information makes the performance of unit managers able to take anticipatory steps and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness so that the performance of unit managers will be improved.

Abstract:The health system in South Africa has to date been fragmented and centralised. The priority of the new government is to establish an integrated and decentralised district health system of which a key element is the development of district health and management information systems (H & MIS). This paper presents experiences from two projects in the Western Cape in which a process to establish a district-based H & MIS was initiated and a situation analysis of the information systems was done. The two projects applied different research methods but the results show with remarkable consistency that much time is used on data collection, but information is not used at local level. The projects have applied different approaches towards developing a district H & MIS but in both important pre-requisites for a successful, action-led H & MIS include local ownership and motivation, a process based around existing local management structures and the active involvement of the community

Abstract:
The employment of information system for conceptualisation of information analysis and control as well as decision-making, which depicts management information system (MIS), has aroused the interest of researchers and practitioners. This study examined the effect of MIS on manufacturing firms’ performance in Nigeria, by using two elements of MIS, namely the decision support system (DSS) and the executive information system (EIS). The study employed a survey research design, by administering questionnaires to some selected employees of manufacturing firms at Agbara Industrial Estate, Ogun State, Nigeria. The findings revealed that the two elements of MIS employed for this study (DSS and EIS) have an individual significant positive effect on manufacturing firms’ performance. It concluded that MIS elements (DSS and EIS) are important determinants of manufacturing firms’ performance. It is, therefore, recommended that manufacturing firms should employ MIS elements, particularly DSS and EIS, for the enhancement of their performance. Abstract:
The logistics profession has undergone severe changes over the last few decades, replacing muscle power with brain power. The virtual aspect of logistics has become equally important to the physical realm of transportation and warehousing. Supply Chain Management (SCM) deals with getting the right stuff to the right people at the right time in the right amount. To accomplish this task there are a number of more or less integrated logistics software application. Demand forecasting models based on historical data from data marts and data warehouses with built in seasonality and pricing models. Load planning software to appropriately palletize, containerize and load trucks and vessels. Route planning software with real time traffic and weather updates to reduce time and fuel costs. Electronic documents to accompany the shipment from purchase order, letter of credit to customs clearing and back-haul charges. Logistics software has many aspects and may be viewed differently from a software developer and user perspective. This study compares the perception of logistics software by management information systems (MIS) and logistics management students (Logistics) in Thailand. Some of the aspects include: user friendliness, ease of use, features and benefits, technical limitations.

Abstract:
This research paper presents a novel complementary approach to the system implementation research stream by comparing implementation success factors for management support systems (MSS), also called decision-making support systems, (DMSS) and management information systems (MIS). Data were collected over a 14-year period from 132 information technology (IT) practitioners from an industrialized region in Mexico and analyzed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA). While implementation success factors for MSS/DMSS and MIS have been studied previously, few comparative studies have been reported. Differences in implementation success factors between MSS/DMSS and MIS were found. Three clearly identified implementation success factors were found for MIS (i.e., project management, organizational feasibility and IT resources), and two factors emerged for MSS/DMSS with mixed items (i.e., system-organization-technical feasibility, and alignment between users, team, system and organization). The results indicate that achieving MSS/DMSS implementation success is more complex than for MIS. Although exploratory in nature, the comparative differences offer guidance to IT practitioners in implementing such systems and contribute to the MSS/DMSS literature with insights on implementation success factors that are unique to this type of IT system.

Abstract:
Recently the roles of building a risk management information system in commercial banks in Vietnam has been becoming necessary during Covid 19 effects. This study mainly use combination of quantitative methods and qualitative methods including synthesis, inductive and explanatory methods. We analyze rism management and risk evaluation in case of one big listed bank in Vietnam, Navibank (NVB) who became National Citizen Bank later (NCB). We figure out that CPI, lending rate and VNIndex have negative correlation with both beta CAPM and stock price of NVB. And these risk results and models can be delivered to suitable users in a management information system (MIS).
