Abstract:
Effective business process management is one of the key tasks of every organization if it wants to compete successfully on the market and satisfy the needs of its customers. Although there are many established best practices, techniques, and more or less complex methods in business process management, no approach can fulfill a typical organization’s needs and wants. The key to success lies in developing new or adapting existing approaches for business process management to suit the unique characteristics of individual organizations and projects. This demands a solid methodological framework and a clearly defined work process. The aim of the paper is to apply situational method engineering concepts within the realm of business process management, thereby tackling the challenge mentioned above. As a result, a situational method engineering framework is defined to construct and customize business process management methods. The study proposes the conceptual foundations of the framework and a set of processes for constructing holistic and tailored methods that cover various aspects of business process management (analysis, modeling, management, etc.). The basis of the framework is represented by general method components at a higher level of abstraction, which are assembled into holistic methods via interfaces and are transformed into versions adapted to specific situations using tailoring rules. The practical applicability of the proposed framework is validated through its implementation in a project at a large manufacturing company, where it is used to develop both a general and customized business process management method.

Abstract:
The paper contains research of existing risk classifi-cations. The new classification based on this re-search is developed. This classification lets to de-velop effective risk management system in an organ-ization. Suggested classification assumes the selec-tion of three risk types (global, context, system) which demand different management approaches. The manageability of global risks is low, it implies a situational approach to management and an influ-ence of the subjective characteristics of the deci-sion-maker. Context risks require more management resources; therefore, various methods of identifica-tion, assessment and processing are proposed for this kind of risk. However, the uncertainty that gen-erates context risks is high, in contrast to system risks. System risks primarily affect the quality of an organization's products, and therefore must be fully manageable. Most statistical quality control meth-ods are suitable for system risk management. Threats and opportunities at the process level must have a quick reaction from management.

Abstract:
The effectiveness of the process of solving contemporary social problems is greatly enhanced by the application of models and methods of project management. Projects that have many stakeholders and project team members from various industries have gained considerable popularity and are called distributed. Higher education institutions often introduce “flexible projects” into the educational process, which, when preparing specialists for different industries, contribute to the formation of their respective competences. The process of implementing such projects goes through mini-cycles and involves a complex and extensive communication system, especially with the external environment. The purpose of the work is to choose the method of communication management in different types of projects. The features of communication management in flexible projects are defined in the article and the analysis of existing methods of communication on the example of environmental educational projects is carried out. The method of expert evaluation has identified effective methods of communication in flexible projects, namely educational, environmental and scientific, since the success of their implementation is the basis for the further formation of a stable internal environment of our country. For educational and scientific projects, the most effective are the written methods of communication, while the implementation of environmental projects, electronic communications are the most successful. Methods that take into account the influence of the internal and external environment on production costs are determined. It is established that each method used autonomously does not solve the entire complex of management tasks. Therefore, the improvement of cost management methods should be based on the synthesis of a new method that includes the advantages of existing cost methods and eliminates their disadvantages

The article presents a model of sustainable capital management of an enterprise. This idea is based on the principle that the faster an enterprise reaches and maintains a balance between capital, the more efficient management is. This model is an alternative to the net profit model, which is a basic but outdated measure in our time. The General conclusion of the study is as follows: the model of sustainable capital management can be applied in practice to measure the efficiency of an enterprise, but there are many conditions and problems listed in the article that should be the subject of further work. An issue that still needs a lot of research within the whole idea is the problem of evaluating the current and optimal level of capital of the enterprise. These conclusions outline the strengths and weaknesses of the new method.

One of the largest estuaries in Germany, the Ems estuary, identified a dramatic turbidity increase up to more than 10 g/l over the last years. Due to this fact ecologists and water management authorities try to find restoration measures, which are able to reduce suspended sediment concentrations and to increase oxygen supply. The assessment of these potential restoration measures is described in the following paper and is based on a highly resolved numerical representation of the present situation of the Ems with extreme high turbidities by including effects of flocculation and hindered settling. Therefore two different approaches for the settling velocity due to flocculation were compared. An analysis of these restoration measures delivers important findings and shortcomings of each measure. Finally the restoration potentials are quantified by key indicators for hydrodynamics and suspended sediment transport behavior and were evaluated due to their relevance in reduction of high turbidities.

Abstract:
The practical aspect of utilization of digital photogrammetry methods and their products in Slovak forestry is presented. We deal with the comparison of various data obtained by digital cameras, their accuracy, utilization and effectiveness for mapping. Based on presented results we summarize the main conclusions in the field of forest mapping. We also deal with the process of pan-sharpening for the preparation of image data for the interpretation and classification of forestry features. Also, the statistical characteristics of two photogrammetric projects with different geometric resolution photos (Ultracam D digital camera with ground sample distance of 10 cm and UltracamX digital camera with ground sample distance of 20 cm) from the same experimental area of the University Forest Enterprise Zvolen are described with the aim of finding an appropriate solution suitable for forest mapping. In both cases, the horizontal accuracy of the photogrammetric projects is presented. Finally, the process of true orthophoto generation and its utilization in forestry is the focus. Both experiments in this paper presented results which fulfil the accuracy standards defined by the state cadastre within the mapping of large scale maps. All projects, apart from the project of direct georeferencing, fulfilled the third accuracy class of mapping, so they can be used within cadastral mapping, land consolidations and, of course, within forested land mapping. Still, all the projects meet the accuracy requirements within the forest mapping standard, where the forestry features and forest spatial distribution units are mapped.

Abstract:
An important function of the economic mechanism of any enterprise is the management of its costs. This is due to the fact that any activity, and especially production, requires significant expenditure of resources. The functioning of the enterprise and its competitiveness directly depend on the level of operating costs. In a market economy, costs are the basis for choosing the best of alternative options for the development of an enterprise and making balanced management decisions, a guideline for setting the price of products and a prerequisite for increasing the enterprise’s capital. The effectiveness of adaptive actions of manufacturing enterprises to changes in the economic situation in the country or the immediate industry and their ability to work stably depend to a large extent on the provision of information management systems about the state and prospects of business, existing and potential problems, and alternative directions of development. On the one hand, costs are a necessary condition for the full functioning of any enterprise, and on the other hand, they directly affect the financial result of its activity, as the foundation of the enterprise’s development, and characterize the efficiency of the use of available resources. They are diverse, constantly changing under the influence of both the internal and external environment, and have different dynamics in different periods of time. All this prompts active current and strategic cost management, the purpose of which is to realize the competitive advantages of the manufacturing enterprise and secure it in positions of stable development. Such orientation should stimulate the introduction of the latest cost management technologies, which, in turn, will contribute to successful integration into the global and European economic space. At the same time, the effective functioning of domestic management will be ensured by innovative tools that have been tested at enterprises of the developed world economy and require adaptation to the real conditions of functioning of domestic enterprises. Therefore, the problem of cost management is relevant in the economy of European and world-class enterprises and is too relevant for domestic production to ensure stable profitable activity and competitive advantages in the market of goods and services.

Abstract:
Bleeding remains one of the main issues in surgery and traumatology. Bleeding management methods are constantly improved. The options of bleeding management have been significantly expanded due to development of endovascular surgery. Endovascular methods of bleeding management provide either effective temporary proximal bleeding control or final hemostasis in case of bleeding from hard-to-reach areas. These methods include resuscitation endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta, temporary balloon vascular occlusion, embolization of arteries, endoprosthetics of the aorta and major arteries. A clinical case is presented as an example of using the endovascular bleeding control method in surgical treatment with extremely high risk of bleeding. Successful introduction of such methods into clinical practice will reduce the number and severity of bleeding during performing various operations on major vessels, abdominal cavity, retroperitoneal and small pelvis space.
