The work concerns a detailed analysis of the possibilities of increasing environmental protection by increasing the efficiency of selective collection of municipal waste in the city of Wroclaw and the economic conditions of this activity. The study includes a short introduction and an overview of waste morphology indicators. Then, a research model for the study of the morphology of municipal waste is discussed, based on the example of Wroclaw (Poland). Finally, 3 variant cost models of measures supporting the segregation of municipal waste were described and discussed. The article ends with a

The article discusses the key sources of environmental pollution and measures to preserve the environment and nature. By rational use of the Earth’s natural resources and responsible attitude to the environmental problem, this situation can be radically changed. One of the important problems of mankind today is environmental pollution. The environment is the habitat, the natural world that surrounds a person; includes natural and artificial environments. In this Universe the Earth is the only planet where life is possible. Modernization and industrialization affect nature in 2 ways. Secondly modernization is transforming the very character of nature. The tendency is to reduce the diversity in nature and transform it in to high yielding monocultures.

Abstract:
Marine environments present unique challenges for protection due to their global commons nature. International treaties are important for providing a framework for cooperation among different nations and can concern various topics. This module serves to introduce international treaties for marine conservation and management as part of a four-module series on marine conservation (see other NCEP modules on MPAs, policy and conservation biology). The module reviews the basics of international environmental treaties including general principles and formation. A focus is given to covering a range o

Abstract:
As pipelines age, the need for predictive capability and comprehensive models for cathodic protection and corrosion mitigation is becoming significantly more critical. It is imperative that such models be developed to insure future pipeline integrity and risk management that is both economically feasible and utilizes best-practice engineering. Present cathodic protection (CP) models are based on a simplified mechanism of cathodic protection that does not explain certain basic field observations for operating underground pipelines. In addition, the lack of a comprehensive mechanism for cathodic

Abstract:
The path forward for pesticide management in Uzbekistan must balance food security with environmental and public health concerns. The long-term applications of green agriculture remain uncertain due to the lack of incentives. Long-term success will depend on precise enforcement mechanisms, robust public education efforts, and cooperation to ensure that both food safety and food security goals are met.

Abstract:
This Rapid Evidence Review highlights how women's empowerment influences climate change mitigation and sustainable natural resource management. Key findings include: Political representation - Increased female participation in governance correlates with stricter climate policies and lower CO2 emissions; Social empowerment - Enhanced political status for women supports positive environmental outcomes such as reduced deforestation and emissions; Gender equality - Strong correlations exist between gender equality and lower CO2 emissions, along with better environmental performance overall; Educat

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) manages land with considerable conservation value. Some IDOT roadways contain, or are near, special management areas (SMAs): places that have legal protection, are habitat for species with legal protection, or contain valuable biodiversity. Although SMAs are important for IDOT’s environmental objectives, historically, IDOT has addressed the management of SMAs on an as-needed basis with no broad-scale management plan or characterizations. We investigated SMAs on or near IDOT property, aiming to compile information and to help set the stage for a
