Abstract:
Business process management is a progressively developing area of science, which is seen as the most modern and forward-looking innovative. Modern business operations remain highly dependent on IT solutions to steer the processes. Business process management solutions have been the clue for easing daily business operations. IT solutions have actively penetrated the working environment in all areas of business, especially the financial sector. It is beyond to imagine modern financial markets and institutions without IT software support. Not only billing, calculation and payment processes, even stock pricing, market analysis and risk monitor tools are fully computerized through business process modeling. This article studies the current role of business process management in the sample of internal payment and transaction in non-financial and financial firms.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to argue that in order to achieve customer centricity through business process management (BPM), companies have to obtain the profound understanding of customers’ processes and when necessary change not only the interactions with but also the processes of their customers. A method is presented that allows doing this in a systematic manner. Design/methodology/approach – A case study of a large multinational company was conducted. Several different sources and methods were used, including document analysis, interviews and a qualitative analysis of responses to open-ended questions. Data were gathered at three points in time: before, during and after the implementation of the presented approach. Findings – The method that was successfully employed by the case organisation consisted of combining BPM with service blueprinting, and of extending these efforts by integrating the customers’ internal processes into the scope of improvement. Research limitations/implications – The paper does not thoroughly evaluate the long-term effects of the proposed approach. Some results of the case study analysis had to be excluded from this paper due to reasons of confidentiality. Practical implications – The paper presents an approach for organisations to not only understand the needs of their customers but also the way in which their product is used in customers’ processes. In this way BPM can be implemented in a truly customer-oriented way. Originality/value – This paper extends previous work by presenting one way in which BPM can follow up on its promise of increasing an organisations customer orientation. While servitisation has received a lot of attention in various disciplines, its application within BPM research and practice has been scarce.

Abstract:
The main topic of thesis is process management and its optimization. Thesis provides the necessary theoretical background which describes the advantages and disadvantages process management over functional management and describes important concepts tied to processes and process management. The thesis applies these theoretical findings to a specific department of a state organization that provides informal education to various target groups. The work identifies current processes, provides the process model and an accurate description. The following section is based on an analysis of the current process model to create a completely new model. This new process model optimizes the processes in the department.

Abstract:
The importance of processes is growing. Processes are integrated into many areas of human work, where they help to organize all activities. This thesis aims on statistical approach to process behavior analysis. There are mentioned the basic process management issues in the beginning of this thesis. The main focus is on the techniques used during process analysis. There are mentioned approaches that are used to easily and effectively assess process behavior using process behavior charts and how to deduce proper steps from the analysis results to improve the process. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to practical analysis of real process behavior data using implemented solution. The results show common usability of statistical methods and approaches to process analysis.

The theoretical part will be focused on presenting information within the process management. Some of the pieces of this theoretical information will be were slightly modified by internal Continental procedures and applied in the practical part of the thesis in order to redesign current purchasing process of non production material. The contents of the practical part of this thesis are the analysis of the current purchasing process of non-production material in the plant of Continental. The intention is to identify the waste and obstacles in the process. The main target is to improve the process in consideration of efficiency, lead time reduction and, if applicable, cost savings. Once the waste in the process is identified, the 100% value added ideal state is going to be developed, under consideration of implementing the improvements, which have been identified in the current state. Based on the differences between the current state and the ideal state of the process, the future state is going to be mapped.

Abstract:
To be able to meet an increased competition through for instance globalization, and shorter product lifecycles, focus on performance control is central for organizations, where for instance processes and stakeholder orientation are central when continuously improving the operation of the organization. The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the knowledge of how process maturity can be linked to process management. The following research questions have been formulated:  How does process theories relate to the integration of management systems?  How are process theories used within the field of process maturity? Which are the key elements in a process maturity model? Regarding the first research question a literature review was conducted in order to find out how organizations are working with integration of management systems. The main focus of this study was how integration of management systems relates to processes and stakeholder involvement. Secondly a literature review has been conducted on the concept of process maturity. The main aim was to find maturity models focusing on processes and process management, examine the structure of the maturity models used and explore how process management is described within different maturity models. Thirdly a conceptual model for measuring process maturity has been constructed. The content of this model has mainly been based on findings from the literature review conducted on articles on process maturity as well as a literature review of Process Management literature.

Abstract:
This dissertation deals with identification, classification and efficiency assessment in general and is later on applied to Wüstenrot - Building and Loan Association, a.s. Process is the core unit of the procedural type of Organization Management. Therefore, the Building and Loan Asociation defines the key processes and proceeds to the process mapping at the selected detail level. In the first place, this concerns the corporational detail level. Secondly, processes of Customer Satisfication are elaborated. These processes make a synergic effect and cause most valuable benefits providing the fact they are controlled. This means the Corporation Management has to reflect to the outcomes of the Process Efficiency Assessment. Every single process is described from the current situation point of view. Subsequently, proposals are made to improve its efficiency assessment.

Abstract Engineering data management systems (EDMS) offer seamless, integrated, shared-data environments with continuous information flow from product design through product production. Current information technologies and systems engineering methodologies provide the basis for dramatic process improvements and enterprise-wide organizational re-engineering. This paper presents the characteristics of a system being installed, and discusses the benefits afforded to the customer in the area of process improvements. Its emphasis is on data/process integration, a significant feature that allows building extensive metrics and thus enabling continuous process improvement.
