Abstract:
The thesis deals with the evaluation of the quality of social services, particularly services Sheltered Housing. For this evaluation of quality were selected four non-profit organizations focused on service housing in the region of South Bohemia. In this thesis we determined comparative areas according to the criteria of qualitative standards of social welfare, in accordance with those standards organizations are compared mutually and evaluated. For comparison of those organizations, focusing on social services, I have used the benchmarking method. The aim of the thesis is,on the basis of the lesson learned in comparing those organizations, identify potential improvements of provided social welfare and processing specific proposals and recommendations. These recommendations, can be used by those organizations to improve and enhance the quality of social services.

Abstract:
The new law about social services, that is effective since 1st January 2007, brought series of changes into the Czech social services system. These changes should contribute to modernizing and improving the quality of provided social services. Improving of the quality happens via implementing standards for quality in social services, that are sets of measurable and verifiable criteria. Verification of completing standards runs at the place where social services are provided and it is called quality inspection. Graduation theses analyses three runs of testing inspections, that proceeded in 2002, 2004 -- 2005, 2006 -- 2007 in the Czech Republic. Analysis evaluates the best and the worst completed standards, regional location of providers, where there the inspections were performed, and general fruitfulness of providers of social services at inspection. There are mentioned recommendations, which came out of the inspection analysis.

This diploma thesis is concerned with the work motivation in social services and its potential for improvement in Czech Republic. A valid data was collected by questionnaire survey reflecting the needs of managers arising from their daily work. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the motivating factors , the relationship of man to work, and specifics of work in social services. The empirical part deals with the survey among managers of social services. I compiled ranking of most common and missed motivators. In the discussion and conclusion, I compared the instruments used with the expectations of employees. The main outcome of this thesis has become a practical and distributed recommendation. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the professional past of managers in social services and its influence on the performance of managerial profession. In my thesis I'm dealing with those workers who are currently working in managerial positions and previously worked as social workers. I am interested about how their professional past influenced the performance of their managerial function and how these managers get new managerial competencies. In the theoretical part, I mainly deal with the competencies of social workers, the competencies of managers and then I compare them. I also deal with the acquisition of managerial competencies. In the practical part, I describe the methodology of research surveys and present the results I have reached. The main method is a qualitative research survey using a semi-structured interview. A supplementary method is a quantitative research survey using a questionnaire. In the discussion, I compare these results with available resources. Finally, I reflect the fulfillment of the goals of my thesis and make recommendations.

The thesis focuses on mapping and analysis of the current functioning of supervision in social services in the region of Liberec. The research aspires to find answers to the question of the scope of supervision in the social services in the given region and what type of supervision prevails in these facilities. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on collection and classification of generally available documents on supervision in the Czech Republic. It deals with the definition of the term supervision and the historical context of its creation in the field of social services. This part of the thesis describes the basic functions of supervision, structure of the supervisory process and its types. It draws the basic conditions of a successful introduction of supervision in organisations and in this context deals with the current issue of supervisions as a part of the quality standards of social services. The aim of the theoretical part is to create theoretical starting points for the practical research and determination of hypotheses. The practical part aspires to map the current situation in the supervisory activities in the field of social services. The research was carried on in the region of Liberec in social services facilities. The practical part included a preliminary research performed in the form of a controlled interview with five supervisors. The research itself had a form of a questionnaire. The aim was to find out whether supervision works in the facilities, what is the most frequent topic of the current supervision, how the workers conceive supervision and what type of supervision prevails in the organisations. Secondarily, the research focused on the analysis of the used from of supervision, frequency of supervisory meetings and review of the supervision by the workers. A partial goal of the research was to find out how the head workers cope with the introduction of supervision at their workplaces and how they motivate their employees to participate in the supervision. The research in the region of Liberec unquestionably showed that supervision has been slowly bringing itself to the attention of the workers in the field of social services. Though institutions with supervision introduced at the workplaces prevail in this field, there are still many organisations in which supervision has not been carried on due to various reasons. It has turned out that in facilities with a functioning supervision, it is usually conceived as one of the possible ways how to support the workers in the assisting professions and its presence in the organisation has been considered beneficial. The research maps opinions and attitudes of respondents to a ``good{\crqq} supervisor and ethical principles in supervision accompanied by practical instructions and recommendations.

This master work deals with the measurement of the quality in social services. The present system how to guarantee the quality is quite new in the Czech Republic. So it can be useful to investigate it deeply. The study focuses on the indicators of the quality in social services, because assessing the quality by inspectors is based on them. There are the first analyses of the past inspections nowadays. They point out the heterogenity in the evaluation of the indicators as the components of the evaluated standards. The caseless judgement of the poor quality of social services can cause farreaching consequences to them. Many of providers are occupied with solving financial situation, creating standards of quality and solving everyday matters in so far they can devote their time to this theme marginally or not at all. In the empirical part of this work, there has been used a grouded theory, which has been based on qualitative interviews identifying crucial factors of the surveyed area. Cumulating and lingering problems away can mean a wide range of the negative impact for the organization: As from a negative attitude to the philosophy of quality, spreading a bad reputation of the inspection and ends with frustrated employees,, or even their leaving social services. The application of this law is dated to 1th January 2007. I wrote first chapter about the genesis of this law and the genesis of social help at all. Due to declining employment in the last few years, employee motivation has become a very real issue in social services. The subject of the diploma's thesis is the analysis of the motivation of workers in social services (personal support workers) in three organizations providing community living for disabled people in the Karlovy Vary region. The theoretical portion of the thesis contains information about motivation, some theories of work motivation and selected theories of human resource management regarding work motivation, plus a section on social services about community living for disabled people and the role of the manager in social services. Within the empirical part of the thesis two goals are met through the methods of mixed research. One goal is to analyze the motivation of workers in social services, which resolved using a questionnaire survey. That research identified factors causing employee satisfaction and factors that motivate employees. The second goal of the thesis is met in form of structured interview to determine how managers in the researched organisations motivated employees. This work targets the theoretical concept of social services system, which is based on the free market's principles and delimitated the regulation role of the state. The work targets the economical aspects of social services system and brings new views of financial flow in the system. Further, the work aims these services, where stay the client as an customer or submitter of the service. The general part reflects the current system of social services (1. chapter), which is based on relatively exacting state regulation and on the subvention system. Financial flows in the system are jumble now, there are combined the client pays and the state subventions without legal claim. Due to the providers cannot create long term strategy of social services development. 1 Abstract Thesis Burnout syndrome amowg social workers in residental service deals with the issue of burnout as such. It focuses on the definition of the term as well as its development. So are related phenomena - stress, depression, fatigue, but also existential neurosis. It also mentions internal and external influences, which can often be the cause of burnout, as well as high-risk persons - ie the most risky types of personality as well as professions who often fall victim to burnout. In the second large chapter, the common symptoms of burnout are described and what changes occur in a person who is affected by burnout. In the third chapter are introduced individual options of prevention of burnout but also supervision, which is also helpful against the burnout. This chapter also describes the diagnostic methodology - various methods that help to identify or detect certain changes in the worker's behavior and thus to re-evaluate their behavior in a timely manner. In the final chapter - fourth is carried out quantitative research through a questionnaire. The collected data are then evaluated and presented in a graphical representation.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of falls among the elderly placed in residential social care facilities. The author mainly focuses on the issue whether the falls can be viewed as a quality indicator of the offered care. The author deals with the issue of falls both on the general level (legislation, standards of quality) and also on the level of a specific residential social care provider represented by home for the elderly Sue Ryder in Prague. Further, the author deals with the issue of falls in inpatient healthcare facilities, as this issue is viewed as an important indicator in terms of comparing quality of care between social care and health care facilities. The key issue of the thesis are the ways to prevent falls of the elderly, so that their basic rights (especially the right to have their own choice), independence and self- sufficiency can be maintained, and also the intervention procedures in these cases. The aim of the thesis is to provide its readers with suggestions on how to improve quality of healthcare in terms of dealing with falls. These suggestions are based on the author's thorough examination of the relevant theoretical and legislative materials. (Abstract) This thesis is called "The importance of activation in seniors in field and outpatient social services" includes the theoretical part as a conceptualization of the empirical part. It describes the activities and services contained in the questionnaire survey. The results of the surfy, by using the questionnaires, confirmed the hypothesis. It can now be said that seniors are using outreach social services, they are more interested in activities more than seniors are using outpatient social services - in particular it is the physical activities of women over 85 years of age. In conclusion, the greatest interest was in physical activities which support the maintenance of mobility and hence the promotion of self-sufficiency.

The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out how motivated, demotivated or burnout workers in social services are. The work titled "Rank of caring persons in the context of the social services law" analyses the situation of caring persons during the care. The work follows the question of discrimination and social-economic exclusion of caring persons in the Czech Republic on the basis of executed research analyse. The rank of caring persons is not legally embedded in any legal regulation. However, this results into the fact, that there is neither range of duties nor the law or social benefits in the case of sickness, and the old age pension scheme is very limited, too. This work brings suggestions of measures and solutions of these problems so that family and intergeneration solidarity and rules of subsidiarity would be supported, and at the same time the social and economic discrimination of caring persons in the Czech Republic.

The thesis focuses on the issues of Quality Standards and the process of their application in the residential services in Vysočina region. The aim of my thesis is to map the present situation concerning the introduction of Quality Standards in social services in residential facilities in Vysočina region. The introductory theoretical part of my thesis contains sections related to social services. Definitions of basic concepts and sections which are related to chosen topic are explained here. It also contains the description of settings and context of the work. In the practical part the subject is narrowed to the topic of introducing Quality Standards in social services in relation to providers of social services, and to old people{\crq}s and handicapped people{\crq}s homes and special treatment facilities. The results of a questionnaire inquiry, conversations with directors of organizations and workers in direct care are presented and compared. This process is interlaced with the analysis of documents used in filling out the questionnaire that have a direct connection to fulfilling the criteria of social services quality. In the discussion and summary the essential research results are discussed. In relation to introducing Quality Standards in social services it will be necessary to change especially the attitude to users of social services. This thesis focuses on mapping out work burden of formal caregivers in social services, above all on cathegories influencing a level of the burden. Its aim is to describe cathegories/areas of work burden of caregivers in retirement homes at standard wards and at wards with a special measures regime, where they take care of clients suffering from dementia. A sub-aim is to find out whether there are differences in perception of the work burden at the two types of wards and differences between work burden at these wards. Based on the conclusion of this thesis, recommendations for the management of retirement homes will be formulated. The research will be conducted in a retirement home which has both types of wards - the standard one and the one with speacial measures regime. Its respondents will be the formal caregivers of these wards. This diploma thesis deals with workload of social service workers in special regime homes. The aim of this paper is to chart the factors influencing workload of social service workers in special regime homes. The main research question asked is: How do social service workers in special regime homes perceive their workload subjectively? The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a research part. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters which are based on professional literature. The chapters contain a detailed description of the profession of social service workers including professional qualifications together with the definition of the social service - special regime home. The term strain is defined and divided into workload, mental strain and physical strain in the following chapter together with a mention of the term work-life balance in connection with this topic. The subsequent chapter is dedicated to prevention of inception of strain, more precisely to supervision and mental health hygiene. The last chapter deals in detail with occupational burnout. The research part contains the specifications of the aim of the thesis, of the main research question and of five research sub-questions which have been based on the main one. The data have been collected by means of qualitative research, survey methodology and the semi-structured interview method. A specific special regime home in the Vysočina region has been selected for the purposes of this research. The nine participants in the research are social service workers who have been employed at the facility for a minimum of one year. The research was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, a preliminary research was done to serve as a base for adjusting the research questions. The actual research was realised in the next phase. The acquired data were processed using the clustering method and evaluated subsequently. The evaluated data are ordered in relation to the research questions. The social service workers cope with the workload well. They consider their work to be not only physically but also substantially mentally demanding. Manipulating with bedridden clients is viewed as the most physically challenging operation by the facility workers. The most mentally challenging situations for them are the decease of clients, incessant explaining, dealing with clients, etc. The workers experience stressful situations with clients, however more frequently with clients' families as well. The most common work-related health problems of the workers at the facility are backaches. The results of this diploma thesis can serve the selected special regime home in the Vysočina region or as a study material to the lay and professional public.

In the theoretical section the diploma thesis is focused on giving definitions of the terms a non-state non-profit organization and supervision. A great extent of attention is then paid to the introduction of supervision into organizations and obstacles that play an important role in this process. The aim of the research section of the thesis was to survey the current state of the introduction of supervision in non-state non-profit organizations providing social services in the South Bohemian Region. The first partial objective was to map the reasons for the introduction of supervision in these organizations. The other partial objective was to identify the obstacles preventing organizations from the introduction of supervision in their workplaces. To conduct the research of the thesis, the qualitative research was chosen, the interviewing method, the technique of semi-conducted interviews The research group consisted of directors or managing directors of non-state non-profit organizations providing social services, and their employees. From the results it is evident that the effectiveness of the Act on Social Services, i.e. also of the Standards of quality of social services, is not the only reason for the introduction of supervision. According to the answers of addressed respondents, there are much more reasons for this measure. Understanding the reasons for the introduction of supervision, however, is different in the management of an organizations and in its employees. The research has also shown that the lack of funds is the major obstacle in implementing supervision into non-state non-profit organizations that provide social services. The author proposes possible solutions to this problem in the discussion. This thesis may be the basis for the introduction of supervision in organizations where it is not used yet. The work can contribute to facilitate the introduction of supervision into organizations providing social services because individual obstacles have been detected and described. Furthermore, this work could be beneficial for students and the staff of helping professions.

The thesis is focused on the topic of professional ethics in social services and its reflection in the supervisory process. The thesis is divided into two parts, the interpretation and the research, and aims to explore the topic of professional ethics in social services in the supervisory process from the perspective of supervisors. Research is conducted using qualitative research strategies, through interviews with eight supervisors. The data analysis brings several conclusions, one of them is the fact that supervision is essential for the professional ethics of social workers. Supervision contributes in that social work is based on a more conscious professionalism and less on intuition. This all brings a more comprehensive picture of the influence of supervision on the compliance with professional ethics in social services. The diploma thesis deals with the description of terms such as senior, old age and basic physical and psychological changes that accompany this period. The next part of the thesis describes the concept of client, social worker and the possibilities of social work legislation in the Czech Republic. In the third part the thesis describes in detail the terms such as ethics, ethical behavior, professional ethics, ethical code and ethical dilemmas. The following chapter, based on a written questionnaire, describes the view of the ethical dilemmas of six female social workers. Furthermore, in this chapter, I present 13 selected dilemma situations that are based on the direct practice of female social workers. This part of the thesis is followed by another chapter, in which the analysis of the selected dilemma situation is carried out and a preview of the various ethical theories most frequently encountered in the literature. The ethical theories chosen are deontology, utilitarianism and ethics of care. The aim of this thesis was to describe the basic concepts of ethical dilemmas with which workers in social services can meet. The concrete practical solution of individual ethical situations by social service workers will enable a realistic view of solving ethical dilemmas in practice. The analysis of a particular selected dilemma situation will provide a view of solving this situation using the most important ethical approaches. Knowledge of these approaches can help social workers to make choices and choose the right ethical approach.

In modern European society, there is not the slightest doubt that all people, regardless of gender, age, race, and health status have the same rights as guaranteed, which are called human rights. According to the existing laws and agreements (referred to in the work) and according to the generally accepted rules, the human rights are inalienable, with the exception of serious and precisely specified reasons. This work deals with the problem of how to balance this elementary right with the fact that for people with cognitive impairment it is sometimes necessary to carefully consider some form of restriction of their rights. The aim of this work is to find a definition of the human rights for the elderly with cognitive impairment. Secondary objectives are to describe the social services standards in relation to human rights and the subjects who are involved in supervising the observance of the rights, and the current status. This dissertation focuses on the long term (2006 - 2015) unsolved problems with the critical nature of healthcare payments in residential social services (PZSS) in the Czech Republic. The aim is a critical reflection of the legitimacy and the causes of this condition, including past efforts to identify and solutions. The used research methods are institutional analysis in combination with critical discourse analysis. The work is conceived as a critically-oriented research on social and health policies in the field of health care financing in PZSS in the period 1998 - 2015. Main findings of the cause of this problem are the failure to use the tool health- insurance plans and their unjustifiable replacement tool called. Reimbursement regulations, the use of which in combination with by power unilateral approach in the contractual relationship between health insurance and PZSS not only leads to problems, but especially to the general alienation public health insurance from the objectives and functions of the health system itself, which provides in this case health care in PZSS.

The aim is to analyze the education system in selected contributory or-ganizations and to assess whether selected contributory organizations are suffi-ciently involved in educating their employees. Occupational burnout is a serious and increasingly discussed topic. Its serious consequences do not affect only workers employed in social services, but also employees of individual facilities. Appropriate prevention could help to stop the loss of qualified workers. This thesis explores possible preventive measures against the burnout focusing among field social workers in the Mladá Boleslav District. The theoretical part of this thesis defines occupational burnout, describes its causes of origin, phases, its disease pattern, treatment, prevention including specific risks related to this profession. The final chapter focuses on the possibilities of personal development aimed at preventing the occurrence of occupational burnout. For the practical part, a combined research method was selected applying the quantitative approach of questionnaires for social service workers together with a qualitative method of conducting interviews with senior executives. The results are presented in verbal as well as graphical form. The aim of this research was to find out about the level of prevention among selected social service workers in Mladá Boleslav. The thesis concentrates on influence of work evaluation and supervision on motivation of workers of low threshold clubs for children and youth. Supervision and work evaluation is perceived as an obligation for providers of social services defined in quality standards of social services. The thesis concetrates on effects of supervision and work evaluation on the motivation of workers. The opening of the thesis describes roles in the process of motivation (roles of workers and the roles of their supervisors and senior executives), along with two fundamental theories of motivation (developed by Maslow and Herzberg). In the same chapter, the risks connected with work motivation (helpers' syndrome and burn-out syndrome) within helping professions are tackled. Základními východisky pro sepsání této práce bylo přijetí dvou klíčových zákonů, tj. nového zákona o sociálních službách a zákona o koncesních smlouvách a koncesním řízení, tzv. koncesního zákona. Koncesní zákon spolu s novelou zákona o veřejných zakázkách vytvořil společný základ pro právní regulaci PPP. V souvislosti se zákonem o sociálních službách se zase otevřel potenciální prostor pro vznik PPP projektů v oblasti sociálních služeb. Tím, že zákon přiznal příjemci sociálních služeb adresnou finanční dávku, vytvořil poměrně rozsáhlou možnost participace soukromého sektoru v této oblasti. Zkoumáním a porovnáváním nutných podmínek této spolupráce jsme se snažili nalézt alespoň teoretickou odpověď na naši první otázku. Protože příklad použití PPP v oblasti sociálních služeb v České republice zatím neexistuje, popsali jsme pro ilustraci a inspiraci pět zahraničních případových studií. Ačkoli víme, že ne vždy a všude lze beze zbytku využít příkladů dobré praxe z jiných zemí (mají odlišné tradice, jiný právní systém, jiné možnosti financování a často také odlišnou klientelu sociálních služeb), bylo důležité ukázat, že se tento model v sociálních službách prakticky a úspěšně využívá. The diploma thesis deals with issues of vaccination of workers in social services against seasonal influenza in homes for the elderly. Furthermore, this diploma thesis deals with possible ethical dilemmas in connection with cancellation of mandatory vaccination against seasonal influenza as a result of the change of legislation in 2010. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the basic information concerning seasonal influenza, its impact and prevention, and also provides an overview of long stay services focused on homes for the elderly. In the theoretical part there are also described the basic aspects relating to ensuring the quality of the service provided. Results of the quantitative research carried out in six homes for the elderly are presented and evaluated in the practical part of the thesis. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to map trends concerning the immunization coverage of workers in social services against seasonal influenza, opinions of these workers, their attitudes towards and motivation for such vaccination. Survey research shows that the cancellation of mandatory vaccination against seasonal influenza had a negative impact on immunization coverage of the workers in social services and that in the past the most common reason for vaccination was the duty laid down by law. Moreover, it follows from the results of the research that currently the main reason for refusal of vaccination lies in distrust in efficiency of vaccination. The research has also shown the importance of practising physicians' recommendations for vaccination and their irreplaceable part in provision of information about influenza. The secondary aim of the thesis was to discover how the workers in homes for the elderly perceive the impact of sickness rate of workers in social services caused by seasonal influenza on functioning of the organisation and on the quality of the services provided. As the research has shown, the workers do not believe that incapacity for work due to influenza has an impact on the functioning and quality of the services provided. Another secondary aim of this thesis was to obtain an overview of possible motivation of the workers in homes for the elderly for increase in immunization coverage against seasonal influenza. It follows from the results of the research in question that the strongest motivation for the workers would be represented by reintroduction of mandatory vaccination. The third secondary aim of the thesis was to identify possible ethical dilemmas with respect to change in duty of vaccination against seasonal influenza. These dilemmas are defined in the conclusion of the practical part of the thesis. The results may be utilized as resource materials for motivation of both the senior employees and other employees of the homes for the elderly for vaccination against seasonal influenza with respect to protection of their clients.

Abstract:
Inspection of the quality of social services in residential facilities. The main goal of Inspection of the quality of social services in residential facilities is to describe the influence of inspection on quality of standards of service provided in controlled facilities. The thesis is divided in two parts. First part presents theroetical frame of discussed issue based on professional literature. This theoretical frame consists of four chapters which present social services in general, their quality and values, quality of management and inspection of social services. Second part includes qualitative research based on interviews with five respondents. Interviews are focused mainly on respondent's personal experiences. Results of data analysis, their overview and discussion are summarized. Based on data analysis answers to research questions are formulated. Research provides answers to how inspection of quality of social service contributes to better understanding of meaning of standards of quality by employees and how it influences behavior of employees and state of social service in general. Abstract:
The thesis is focused on quality standards in social services with the view to clarify the ethical dilemmas that occur in providing client care in elderly homes. Firstly, the work focuses on the transformation of social services of the Czech Republic at the turn of the 20th and 21st century, the emergence of Act no. 108/2006 of Social services, from which emerged for social service providers a legal obligation to create and follow standard of quality that are defined further. Subsequently the thesis continues with the ethics of social work and social workers' Code of Ethics, which sets out the values and ethical principles for their work. This is followed by the description of the ethical dilemmas and ethical issues directly determining the target group of clients who use services of homes for the elderly. This group is also described. The last part of the thesis deals with reflection of concrete ethical dilemmas. Provided dilemmas are solved by standards of quality created by the team of workers working in home for the elderly clients, who in 2012 successfully passed inspections of social services.

Abstract:
The thesis deals with filing of conditions for providers of accommodation social services given by the new law about social services. The sample of providers was analyzed from the point of view of contents of the defined mission of service and its aims. Compliance with the main rules of the law was considered. The range and form of help and support given through social service have to preserve human dignity and derive from individual needs of service user. The help is aimed to support individuals in their self-independence, strengthen social incorporation and in appropriate quality, respect human rights and basic liberties. The selected accommodation services werw compared also in relation to the determined target group and age category.

Abstract:
The objective of this thesis was to evaluate the standard of marketing planning in social services facilities established by the citizens? association o.s. Prevent. The objective was to find out whether such planning is performed and, if so, how and in which areas. In my research I focused on identification opportunities, risks, weaknesses and strengths of the individual facilities by means of a situation analysis, which enables to set the main pillars of the future marketing strategy. Further, I evaluated the provided services by interviewing a user of the services about the quality of service provided by o. s. Prevent facilities. The research was performed in facilities providing services in the drug addiction area on the territory of the South Bohemian region. Marketing as such was always primarily used in the profit sector. Currently, however, it has also entered the sector of non-profit organizations. The process is often accompanied by skepticism, which is based on a superficial view of the purpose of marketing management and also on the dominant position of the service providers in the region which means that they are not sufficiently motivated to use marketing. The method used for the research was collection of qualitative data. The data were collected by means of non-standardized questionnaires. Another research technique was interviewing. Additionally, directors of the individual facilities filled out tables for the situation analysis and clients of the facilities filled out non-standardized questionnaires with open questions. The research has shown that the individual facilities fail to use in their planning the structured mechanisms of marketing planning. Their planning is based on the necessity to meet requirements set by the law and in many cases their approach to the planning is rather intuitive. The quality of planning then depends on capabilities of directors of the individual facilities. A strong motivation element in favor of development of marketing strategies of the facilities might be the lack of financial means. On the other hand, the lack of funds also threatens introduction of new marketing activities in those facilities. Therefore it is necessary to think about the ways of effective generation of funds by their secondary economic activities. The research has confirmed the client´s satisfaction which is a significant indicator of quality of the provided services and of properly performed work by the facility. However, for a more efficient comparison comparative studies should be performed comparing the services with those of other facilities of similar type; this is the only way to prepare the facility for the ever more competitive market of providers of the services in the future. For the future structured planning it is essential to set some objectives. The objectives should be as specific and detailed as possible. The objectives should be measurable and comparable as only such objectives will enable to work on an effective and long-term strategy for the facilities.

Abstract:
The objective of my thesis ``Evaluation of the marketing strategy of selected social services facilities operating under the Social Services Act No. 108/2006 Coll., and its proposed innovation{\crqq} was to ascertain whether the facilities had been making use of any marketing strategy, and if so, in what fields. I also investigated the impact of the new Social Services Act on operation of the facilities, and whether there were any differences in usage of strategies in dependence on the founders of the facilities. Marketing of social care has not had a long history in the Czech Republic; it is a segment which has not been experiencing sufficient attention. Marketing is mostly used by private providers of social services.
