Abstract:
The Manden Charter, according to tradition, was adopted in 1236 at Kurukan Fuga (Mali), after the victory of Sunjata Keita, legendary Mali ruler, over Sumaoro Kante, general of susu troops. It is a corpus of rules that was created to organize the Mali Empire. In 2009, UNESCO inscribed the Charter on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Charter, like the Hunters’ Oath (1222), belongs to the oral tradition and was documented only in 1998. Therer are many oral variants of text. So there is controversy about its authenticity. Basing on the results of my previous research, it is safe to say that the Charter conveys the main social norms of Manden society and its social structure, however, it contains also some modern ideas. In Guinea, near Niagassola village, there is a place similar to Kurukan Fuga, where until recently the main Manden families gathered to make important decisions. Informants said that Sundiata himself was there also. The Charter may be even more significant today than it used to be, which is why it has become the center of attention both among the Manden peoples and abroad. Like every oral tradition the Charter makes changes in history, and this alternation of history is inevitable, because history is important not just for the past, but for present and future of the peoples. Today the Charter is an important element in Manden’s self-identification.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the Manden Charter (West Africa). The Manden Charter, according to tradition, was adopted in 1236 in Kurukan Fuga (Mali). It is an oral document that has undergone the influence of time during the transmission of the text among generations of griots; it is a set of norms that was created to organize the Mali empire. The Charter itself is a reconstruction from epic sources, in which several griots from Guinea and Senegal participated at once. The article presents a complete translation of the Charter, the comparison and analysis of its several versions from the griots Siriman Kuyate and Karamo Adam Diabate. While the Kuyate’s version of the Charter is considered to be “official”, the Diabate’s version is more credible. The analysis of the articles allows us to conclude that a part of the document may well be qualified as a declaration of new world order in the Mali Empire, while the other part of the document is a folklore addition to it. Today, it is especially important to record all references to traditional texts or knowledge, since attempts to change history, making it more “humane” and “modern”, can be traced in Africa at all levels.

Abstract:
The intrusion of orality into the academic research fields of black Africa in the 1960s brought to light the richness of Malian epic narratives. Several possibilities exist in their study, including the analysis of their links with the Western epic. This could be done by using the Sellier approach (1970) using a comparative approach. Soundjata, founding historical figure of the Malian empire and initiator of the Manden charter established at Kurukan Fouga with his Kirina allies having triumphed over the blacksmith king Soumaoro Kanté at the Battle of Kirina in 1235, becomes, therefore, an epic character . His epic sung by the griots, formerly holders of the story, will be taken up by several authors like Niane (1960) in Soundjata or the Mandingo epic that extols the exploits of this Lion King who continues to mark the memory of Africans including his people. In this article, it is a question, therefore, to see if this work of Niane takes into consideration the different stages of the classic heroic model as presented by Sellier (1970) in The structure of the myth of the hero or the desire of to be God.

Abstract:
AbstractA large panel of the Last Supper (fig. 1) can now be attributed to Karel van Mander the Younger (Haarlem c. 1583 – Delft 1623), after cleaning by the present owner, Douwes Fine Art in Amsterdam. The monogram at lower right (fig. 3), on the base of the pillar, has been identified as being that of the young artist and not of his father, the famous painter and writer of the Schilder-boeck, Karel van Mander the Elder. This painting is the first one by Karel van Mander the Younger to have been discovered.Although it is known that the young Karel van Mander had been trained as a painter in his father's workshop and registered at the latest in 1613 as a painter in the Delft guild of St Luke, the artist has until now only been known as a designer for tapestries. This he did from about 1604 at the workshop of François Spiering, which he left in 1615 to start his own tapestry workshop. The numerous sources on this period speak mostly of the difficult, troublemaking character of Van Mander, who's family fled to Denmark after his untimely death in 1623.The Last Supper is intriguing for its many borrowings from prints by and after artists from Karel van Mander the Elder's circle. The pose of several figures as well as some details of the tableware appear to have been derived from a large print by Jan Harmensz. Muller after a painting by Gillis Coignet (fig. 5). Three oddly large hands of figures at left, centre and right, are repetitions of hands from the Apostles series by Hendrick Goltzius of 1589, as is the upwards turned head of the apostle at upper left (figs. 6-8).Some of the figures have been identified by Elisabeth Valentiner, in her study on Karel van Mander the Elder of 1930, as portraits. Whereas one of them, at left of Christ, might indeed have been modelled after the print by Goltzius of Dirck Volckertsz. Coornhert (fig. 9), the identification of the person at lower right, left of the pillar, as Goltzius, is not convincing. The only actual portrait seems to be the more contemporary looking figure at upper right, whose reaching hand has been derived from yet another print by Jan Muller after Goltzius. Although not convincingly applicable for this painting, the use of portraits in a Last Supper was not uncommon. In the Schilder-boeck Van Mander described a, now lost, series of Christ and the Apostles with portraits of artists on which his friend Cornelis Ketel was working.Another interesting aspect of the painting is its date of 1602. This was the year that Van Mander's friend Bartholomeus Spranger, the court painter of Rudolf II, visited Amsterdam and Haarlem, where he was received by artists and rhetoricians. It is tempting to see the painting, possibly a joint project of both father and son Van Mander, as having been made in honour of this visit, as a tribute to Spranger with borrowings from prints by the two artists who engraved his designs, Hendrick Goltzius and Jan Muller. As such a large panel must have been made on commission, the Amsterdam notary and art patron Jacques Razet, a close friend of Karel van Mander the Elder, to whom the above mentioned print by Jan Harmensz. Muller was dedicated, comes to mind, also for the fact that he was known to support young artists.

In the Leningrad Region, Heracleum sosnowskyi hogweed prefers well-developed fertile light and medium loamy sod-podzolic and sod-carbonate soils; it is practically absent in swamps and wetlands, in territories occupied by spruce forests, as well as pine forests with infertile low-power soils on sandy and rocky substrates. The most favorable hydrothermal, orographic, hydrological, soil, and ecological conditions for the development and spread of Sosnovsky hogweed are observed in the western, agriculturally developed areas (Slantsevsky, Kingisepp, Lomonosov, Volosovsky, Gatchina) with dismembered hilly relief, cultivated fields, occupying 7-13% of their territory, fallow lands. To the south, east and north of the area the conditions for development and spreading of hogweed become markedly worse that is stipulated mainly to the south and east by flat-low character of relief, its waterlogging, the spread of spruce and pine forests that are little and unfavorable for hogweed, low-power and poor soils on rocky substrates, especially to the north on the Karelian Isthmus and in the Podporozhsky district in the northeast.

Abstract:
With the escalating use of qualitative methods in health psychology, the need for the careful match between the studied topic and research design has been repeatedly stressed. The purpose of this study is to choose and substantiate the most compatible methodological approach for the use in the prospective phenomenological doctoral research investigating a lived experience of fathers of fatally ill child. This methodological paper compares three main phenomenological research approaches: Hermeneutic Phenomenology (van Manen, 1990), Psychological or Transcendental Phenomenology (Moustakas, 1994) and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (Smith, 1996). The comparative analysis of these three approaches to phenomenological research shows that the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis could be viewed as the most appropriate approach for analyzing the lived experience of fathers of fatally ill child considering the specific sample of this study, character of the research topic and experience of researcher with phenomenological studies. The methodological underpinnings and possible issues of chosen approach have been discussed at the end of paper.

Summary Specific character of SME determines a limited access to short-term capital which is essential for running the business. A financial tool which on one hand enables small entities to improve their financial liquidity and, on the other, to limit the risk connected to delays in settling the receivables, is non-recourse factoring. Both, its construction in the legal, tax and financial context, as well as the procedure of granting it by financial institutions make this instrument gain more and more popularity among the companies in Poland.

Abstract:
SummaryCompetencies of employees and competence management are elements fairly well described in the literature. A modern approach to these issues, however, must have a broader than traditional character. This follows the significant changes that took place in management sciences expressed by an increased role of intangible assets. Intellectual capital, its components, connections with enterprise resources and elements of the environment are an important aspects of the strategic considerations undertaken by management staff in modern enterprises. Competences - which are specific expression of the potential of employees, their ability to detect changes and finding solutions - in this new context become even more important. This study attempts to analyze the selected relationships between the competency management system, intellectual capital and the attitude to IC of management staff.

This article regards Norwid’s Tajemnica Lorda Singelworth in the context of his anthropology as well as historical and cultural background. The author’s notion of “cleanliness,” inspired in some measure by the Gospels, is connected to the circumstances of both Norwid himself and the main character of his puzzling novella. This reading revolves around the image of a balloon flight during which the Lord – as it is argued, following hints already present in studies of Norwid – discards a piece of paper with “physiological content.” This scene is placed in the context of other literary balloon flights and the eccentricity of Baudelaire’s friend Philoxène Boyer. Finally, the article discusses Norwid’s law of inversion, which can be applied in the case of Singelworth.

Abstract:
Summary The paper is of theoretical and empirical character. It outlines considerations and studies pertaining to the perception of organizational culture of Austrian companies by Polish emigrants. When undertaking employment abroad, emigrants face a challenge of adapting to a new environment. The adaptation pertains to several aspects. Organizational culture is one of these. Therefore, the following research problem arises: What is the organizational culture of Austrian enterprises like?, and, Do emigrants experience problems with the cultural adaptation? Interviews with 40 Poles who worked a minimum of 5 years in Austria were conducted. The interviews revealed that respondents believed the organizational culture of Austrian companies was characterized by low power distance, individualism, activity, and status based upon achievements. The straightforward analysis was difficult to be made with regard to several values. This is true for low vs. high uncertainty tolerance, people vs. task focus, and focus on the outside vs. inside. The identified organizational culture of Austrian enterprises did not pose a significant barrier for respondents.

Summary In the years 2017-2018 the Marketing Faculty of Łódź University conducted a research project “Marketing strategies of companies based in Łódź Voivodeship on foreign markets”. The aim of this text is to present the initial research findings strategies implemented by surveyed companies on foreign markets. The examined companies seldom attempted to conduct the foreign market research and the marketing strategy that they used was strictly related to the prevailing form of expansion into foreign markets, i.e. export. Both the product and the pricing policy were adapted to the specific character of the foreign market. Activities in the area of distribution were limited to indirect export and they were not initiated by the examined companies. The prevailing majority of companies used the Internet, trade fairs and exhibitions in their promotional activities. The intermediaries in the distribution channel were responsible for subsequent promotional activities. They involve marketing strategies typical for small and medium companies and their content depends on the intermediaries in the distribution channel on foreign markets.

SummaryThe main aim of the article is to try to determine, on the basis of the conducted research, the optimal competencies and skills that a manager should have in order to effectively manage the team (in the opinion of its members). The author will also indicate the connection and differences between the obtained data resulting from the Polish reality and the contemporary guidelines for the IPMA competence model. Apart from literature analysis, the author chose a diagnostic survey (research technique - questionnaire) as another research method. The respondents were, in 2019, employees (who agreed to take part in the survey) from 14 deliberately selected large enterprises based in Poland (200 people in total took part in the research process). After the analysis of the literature and the results of the conducted research, of course bearing in mind its pilot character, we can see that the perception of the competencies and skills of a manager, in Poland, is not fundamentally different from the model of competencies presented in the content. The only question that remains is whether this will be enough to bridge the gap between Poland and developed countries, especially in the face of new economic challenges.

Summary The main objective of the article is an attempt to identify factors/determinants conditioning the development of enterprises in Poland in recent years. The author will also try to indicate the dominant behaviours related to the notion of entrepreneurship among the owners of the enterprises under study. In addition to the literature analysis, the author chosea survey in the form ofa structured interview with business owners as another research method - the survey was carried out in 2015 and 2017 and in 2019/2020 in 200 purposively selected enterprises from the SME sector, which are based in Poland and were established in the last 5 years. After the analysis of the literature and the results of the conducted survey, obviously bearing in mind its pilot character, the author clarified the names of the selected indicators/determinants and expanded their list by those he considered useful from the point of view of the general purpose of the survey - 9 indicators/determinants. In the author’s opinion, the developed indicators/determinants make it possible to assess the level of enterprise development (direction and pace of changes) depending on selected factors of the local and institutional environment, internal factors, the level of achieved financial results, sources of financing.

Abstract:
Summary The aim of this elaboration is to recognize trends in management of multiple economic entities. The attention was focused on centralized and decentralized management system. This study has a theoretical and empirical character. It is based on the literature studies and the results of researches obtained by the representatives of the scientific community over the past ten years in centralization/decentralization of management in complex economic units. In addition, there are included the latest findings concerning the discussed issue in the mining industry, made by the author of the study. The elaboration demonstrates that the flexibility of the organizational structures of multiple economic entities is diversified and depends on the type of multiple organization. The more flexible structure, the greater tendency to decentralize management. There is also an attempt to define current trends in management of multiple organizations. The study also tries to answer the following research questions: in what direction heads the management of the complex economic units, so-called multiple economic entities? whether there is a tendency for centralization or decentralization of management? whether internal subsidiaries are carrying out ever larger scope of organic functions and decision-making powers or whether it is limited for them? The elaboration ends with a resume and a bibliography.

Abstract:
Summary The authors of the paper propose a thesis of a necessary change of an industrial development paradigm of agriculture to a socially sustainable one. They present the mechanism of functioning of the first one proving that by stimulating the growth of production of agricultural raw materials it leads to a decreasing marginal productivity and, as a result, to lower incomes of farmers in the conditions of incomplete internalisation of costs. The pressure on natural environment leads to the deterioration of the natural environment welfare. Therefore, the change of that paradigm to the socially sustainable one is necessary. The effects of that model, which exceed the productive and economic sphere, were presented. They take into account the fact that agriculture is also a supplier of public goods. In that case a new concept of a land rent was included, assuming that the agricultural land independently creates a part of a land utility which is subject to market or institutional valorisation if it is limited to some extent of intensity of agricultural economics. However, there must be a declaration of a social demand for that utility of a public character. That process has already started and it determines the evolutionary change of the paradigm of the agricultural development.

Summary Medical Family Businesses in Poland - Model and Managerial Challenges There is a deficit of data in Poland about characteristics of family enterprises providing medical services. The medical sector in Poland faces a rapid development of family businesses and is diverse because it encompasses various size business entities that specialize in many possible aspects of the medical business. The article is about the characteristics of family enterprises providing medical services and extent to which they resemble family businesses, and to which they are derived from medical service activities. The article is of theoretical nature and its aim is to propose the model for the functioning of family-owned medical businesses, taking into account the impact of the type of activity and the family organization. The first part of the article is focuses on characteristics of family businesses, there is relatively little representative research analyzing the share of family enterprises in the Polish economy and describing their character. The second part of the article is the problem of ethos of medical professions in relation to business and economic logics of an organization. In the third of the article part there is a proposal for a model combining both aspects of the functioning of this type of economic entities.

Abstract:
Summary The role of digital technologies, especially the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), increasingly become a key element of diverse interactions between brands and consumers. Homo Cyber Oeconomicus, one of the potential stages of ongoing consumer’s evolution, lives between processes of dehumanization of the surrounding world and humanization of digital technologies. While remaining in a constant contact with smart devices, systems and algorithms, they are looking for new values and meanings, which are a metaphor of their desires, fears and behaviors. As a result, the digital ecosystem, as an attempt to combine the humanism idea with technologization processes, poses new challenges to companies/brands, both concerning the quality of interactions with an increasingly digital consumer and tools used in that process. Chatbots can prove to be an interesting solution here, as their spectrum of potential areas of implementation in business systematically increases. The paper attempts to identify the influence of chatbots on marketing taking into account their role in Human–to–Machine interaction process. A part of these considerations is of the character of philosophical discourse on the role of that technology in human life, which is a starting point for the presentation of preliminary assumptions for a model of consumer-chatbot interaction (digital technology) in marketing activity of companies/brands.

Abstract:
Abstract This article examines differences in an impact of business cycle phases on innovation activity in medium-high and high technology industry in Poland. It is assumed that each business cycle phase influences innovation activity in the same fashion, but its impact varies and it depends on the firm’s innovation activity. The higher innovation activity the less impact of business cycle. The scope of the survey relates to innovation in MHT and HT industry in Poland. The data concerns the innovation at the firm level and the diffusion “new for the company”. Innovation activity is defined by the following activities: (1) expenditure on research and development and investments in fixed assets not used so far such as: a)buildings, premises and land; b) machinery and equipment, c) computer software; (2) implementation of new products and technological processes and (3) innovation cooperation. The methodological part of the analysis includes a logit modeling. The survey includes 1355 companies. Business cycle has a great influence on innovation activity in MTH and HT industry in Poland. The influence of recovery phase is positive whereas both stagnation and recession phases decrease the probability of innovation activity. The character of influence depends on the propensity to take innovation activity. The higher level of innovation activity the enterprises present the less influence of business cycle they get.

Abstract:
Th e emergence of seminars at the Faculty of History and Philology at Moscow University was a response to discussions of higher education reform in the era of the Great Reforms, when the education of students at universities was found too passive. At this time, ideologues of higher education reform de-manded that monologue lectures be supplemented with written students’ papers, which should develop their research skills and serve as a basis for communica-tion with their professors. Aft er 1862, when over a hundred young scholars were sent abroad for several years under the program of Minister of Public Instruction A.V. Golovnin, a new generation of researchers and teachers was introduced to practical studies at German universities. Th ose who had been abroad started to actively use the term seminar to refer to a new kind of practical training. By the mid-1860s, seminars appeared at Moscow University as teaching units for phi-lologists to train grammar school teachers of classical languages, and as a type of practical classes for historians, the purpose of which was to write research papers. Philologist P.M. Leontiev was one of the originators of philological seminars at Moscow University. He developed such forms of classes at the faculty as were practiced by S.P. Shevyrev in the 1850s, while V.I. Guerrier established the semi-nar as a new form of research activity for historians. It was important for him that students who chose to major in history should write papers on this discipline. While students received scholarships for their work in the philological seminars, participation in historical seminars was their personal initiative. Further develop-ment of the new form of classes was associated with attempts to divide the Faculty of History and Philology into two specializations. Offi cially, historians’ seminars became part of the faculty’s curriculum only aft er implementation of the charter of 1884.

The current era of digitalization is experiencing very rapid changes. To adjust this, very fast adaptation is needed. Starting from the development of the younger generation in this era, we are currently in the revolution of industry 4.0. The industrial revolution 4.0 is marked by rapid developments in the IT world. The key is in several words such as automation, big data analysis, robot technology, artificial intelligence (AI), to the internet of things (IoT). While many are still adapting to the industrial revolution 4.0, the discourse about the next revolution is the Industrial Revolution 5.0 where in this era it takes knowledge, skills and character of the younger generation who are able to quickly adopt and adapt to the new technology. To keep up with this era, teacher professionalism is needed in order to educate students to become a young generation who are able to move quickly to adapt to the environment. Conducting Community Service through improving the professionalism of SMAN Mande teachers through assistance in the development of the Merdeka curriculum assessment instrument is one of the strategies to support as a support system to realize that era. Abstract:
Plastic grains are found to form fractal patterns in elastic-hardening plastic materials in two dimensions, made of locally isotropic grains with random fluctuations in plastic limits or elastic/plastic moduli. The spatial assignment of randomness follows a strict-white-noise random field on a square lattice aggregate of square-shaped grains, whereby the flow rule of each grain follows associated plasticity. Square-shaped domains (comprising 256×256 grains) are loaded through either one of three macroscopically uniform boundary conditions admitted by the Hill–Mandel condition. Following an evolution of a set of grains that have become plastic, we find that it is monotonically plane filling with an increasing macroscopic load. The set’s fractal dimension increases from 0 to 2, with the response under kinematic loading being stiffer than that under mixed-orthogonal loading, which, in turn, is stiffer than the traction controlled one. All these responses display smooth transitions but, as the randomness decreases to zero, they turn into the sharp response of an idealized homogeneous material. The randomness in yield limits has a stronger effect than that in elastic/plastic moduli. On the practical side, the curves of fractal dimension versus applied stress—which indeed display a universal character for a range of different materials—offer a simple method of assessing the inelastic state of the material. A qualitative explanation of the morphogenesis of fractal patterns is given from the standpoint of a correlated percolation on a Markov field on a graph network of grains.

Abstract:
Summary Institutionalization of the development management system in Poland The Polish development policy was shaped along with the process of political transformation and integration with the European Union. After 1990, the management of development policy had a provisional character, in fact the system did not exist. At the national level, there was certain lack of the legal framework, strategic documents, institutional framework and financing. The progressively progressing process of European integration, the transfer of pre-accession funds and the prospect of EU membership and also the possibility of implementing cohesion policy have enabled the adoption of solutions appropriate for many EU Member States. In the first phase, in 1998, exactly on 5 June, the law on voivodship and poviat level self-government was adopted. The following year, the act on departments was adopted, on the basis of which the office of the minister competent for development was established, and in 2000 the fundamental act of law was adopted, namely the act on the principles of supporting regional development. Along with the possibility of cohesion policy implementation, a strategic planning system was adopted, primarily for the purpose of taking advantage of the European funds, and the corresponding institutional set-up was created. However, it was only in 2008, at the initiative of the Strategic Advisory Group at the Prime Minister, that the solutions at that time were reviewed and changes were recommended in the area of strategic management of Poland’s development. The justification for the changes was the need to have a new “compass of development”, which after the period of implementation of accession goals and short-term needs characteristic of societies in the transformation phase prevented the so-called “development drift” situation, that is, stable growth, but too weak to compare to the most developed Western countries. After the adoption of the document “Assumptions of the development management system of Poland” by the Council of Ministers on 27 April 2009 and as a result of further work, a national development management system was developed.

Abstract:
Avifauna inhabiting mountain forest ecosystems on Java Island face severe threats from anthropogenic disturbances. Despite this, the diversity of avifauna in specific areas, such as the Hutan Lindung Pegunungan Putri Tidur (HLPPT) on the slopes of Mount Kawi, remains poorly monitored. This study focuses on assessing avifauna diversity and communities in the tourist area of Mount Kawi slope waterfalls, situated on both the southeast side in Malang Regency and the north side in Batu City. The research, conducted from January to March 2022, examined eight waterfall locations (Baung, Glotak, Luksongo, Parangtejo, Manten, Tengah, Rondo, and Sumberpitu) using the roaming method with Visual Encounter Survey (VES) and Audiovisual Encounter Survey (AES) techniques. Data analysis included considerations of conservation status, local distribution, feed specialists, diversity indices (Taxa Richness, Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H’), Simpson Index (D), Evenness Index (E)), and Important Value Index (IVI) as an assessment of avifaunal diversity. Researchers employed Microsoft Excel and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to determine preferences for each character diversity index and abiotic factors in each location. Across the site, 84 species from 33 families were identified. Notably, seven species were classified as at risk (4 near-threatened, two vulnerable, and one endangered), and nine avifauna were protected. The correlation of avifauna diversity to biotic and abiotic factors was positive. These results provide essential data for further conservation management, emphasizing the protection of the forest area, tourists, waterfalls, and slopes of Mount Kawi. Additionally, studying spatial and temporal distribution is crucial for future avifauna species re-inventory efforts.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Among families of coastal Guinea that were deeply involved in slave trading and that transitioned to legitimate commerce during the nineteenth century, the Lightbourn family of Farenya in the Upper Rio Pongo obtained a level of success and integration that was unusual among EurAfricans. The history of this family and of its founders -- one of whom lived for nearly a century -- and their family and business connections in West Africa, South Carolina, Cape Verde Islands, Cuba, and Bermuda, underscores the complexity of commerce in the Atlantic-centered world and along the American and African coasts. It demonstrates that, although European initiatives may have been necessary catalysts for change, the speed of transition to a new and different commerce and the degree of compliance to those initiatives was decided by persons and families residing on the African coast. The Lightbourns bridged differences between systems that involved Mande and Fula dominated caravan commerce between Africa's interior and the coast, shipping and marketing commerce between Africa, Europe, and the Americas, and an intermediate commerce on the African coast that allowed those systems to interact and flourish. In this case, more is known about the African side of the Lightbourn partnership than about the American side. Lightbourn history also illustrates the transnational character of family units as they "made the most of similarities" (Gundaker, 125) and adjusted from outsiders to newcomers in the African context and from slave traders to legitimate traders in the global context.

Abstract:
Biological pollution of natural phytocenoses by adventive plant species poses is a serious threat to endemic species and species with narrower ecological amplitude in ecosystems around the world. This study presents the results of a study of the composition and distribution of adventive plant species in natural, semi-natural and anthropogenic transformed phytocenoses of Volyn’ Polissya, Ukraine. To clarify the effect of drainage melioration on non-native flora species distribution, a botanical study was carried out during the 2003–2019 vegetation seasons on the territory of four drainage systems. The adventive flora of this unique region of Europe was studied in detail for the first time. In total, 279 non-native plant species were found. They belong to 110 genera and 32 families. The results of studying the systematic, bioecological, range-distributional and phytogenetic structure of adventive species found within agricultural lands and adjacent territories are presented. It was found that 161 species are associated with agricultural production. Of these, 90 species were found directly within the agricultural land, another 71 species were found growing in the adjacent territories. It was found that a significant increase in the number of adventive species on the territory of Volyn’ Polissya is associated with drainage melioration carried out in the 1960–1990s, significant changes in the structure and forms of agro-industrial production, and climatic changes in recent decades. The expansion of agricultural land in this area over the past 50–60 years has led to an increase in the number of adventive species by more than 60%. On the territory of drainage systems used for agricultural activities, more than 40% of the total species composition of the adventive flora of Volyn’ Polissya is represented. The majority of these species originate from arid and sub arid regions of the planet. The transformer plants, Solidago canadensis L. and Phalacroloma annuum (L.) Dumort pose a potential threat to phytocenoses of the described region, as well as the whole of Europe. Of particular interest are the species that in the future may pose a serious threat to natural phyto-diversity and have negative practical consequences for the structure of agricultural landscapes. These are Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. and Heracleum sosnowskyi Manden. In general, modern agro ecosystems are characterized by instability and low ability to resist non-native species. The strongly weedy character of cultivated fields and the presence of abandoned uncultivated lands have caused the rapid spread of adventive vegetation. In order to further optimize the structure of agrolandscapes, it is advisable to monitor and regulate not only expansionary invasive species, which is especially important for preventing biological pollution, but also species whose status has not yet been determined.
