Abstract:
The title compound, [Mn(C3H7NO)6][Cr(NCS)5(C3H7NO)], was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of heterometallic complexes based on Reineckes anion using manganese powder, Reineckes salt and 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)tetrazole as starting materials. The crystal structure of the complex consists of an [Mn(dmf)6]2+ cation and a [Cr(NCS)5(dmf)]2− anion (dmf = dimethylformamide). The MnII and CrIII atoms show a slightly distorted octahedral MnO6 and CrN5O coordination geometries with adjacent angles in the range 85.29 (13)–95.96 (14)°.

The synthesis of compounds was carring out in the system of gadolinium chromite - ferrites doped with bismuth. The citrate-nitrate method was chosen as the synthesis method. An X-ray phase analysis was performed to study the formation of new phases. Based on the results of x-ray phase analysis, it was determined that the obtained compounds in the chromiteferrite system are crystallized in orthorhombic syngony with the Pbnm(62) spatial group. It is showing that when nitric acid is using as a precipitator, can be obtaining single-phase powders. In addition, the structure and parameters of elemen

High temperature oxidation of ferritic stainless steel 21Cr-0.6Mo-Nb-Ti was carried out isothermally at 1100 oC under different water vapour content conditions in an electrical furnace. Water vapour does accelerate the formation of oxide scale of stainless steel 21Cr-0.6Mo-Nb-Ti, however, it is not significant. Some oxide grains consist of spinel crystal structure, which should be spinel Manganese Chromite. In dry air atmosphere, the grain of the spinel is more and bigger than that in wet air. No breakaway oxidation occurs in the experiment indicating that 21Cr-0.6Mo-Nb-Ti has very high oxidat

This study reports on experimental observations during fungi–mineral substrate interactions. Selected mineral substrates of biotite, muscovite, bauxite, chromite, galena, malachite, manganite, and plagioclase were exposed in vitro to free fungal growth under open conditions. The interaction produced strong biochemical and biomechanical alterations to the mineral substrates. Specifically, reported here is a three-dimensional thigmotropic colonization pattern of the mineral surfaces that suggested a possible pattern of fungal metalophagus behavior. Abstract ––The Udokan sedimentary basin is a unique geological structure containing many copperstone deposits and occurrences. A detrital chrome spinel is identified in the metasandstones of the Sakukan Formation at the Udokan and Unkur deposits, which tend to interlayers of natural heavy mineral concentrates. The mineral forms relict inclusions in magnetite crystals. Its composition is distinguished by high concentrations of zinc (up to 11.62 wt.% ZnO) and manganese (up to 6.32 wt.% MnO) with an almost complete absence of magnesium.
