Full textThis research finds its justification in the spirit of the opening towards the modern foreign languages in the European Union. As, since January 2007, Romania has entered this big family, the teaching of modern foreign languages has become, more than ever, a priority. In this research we were interested in : - the place of the Romance languages and of the English language in the Romanian education system of today ; - the way in which the current official documents (school curricula, national curricula, school textbooks) of the Ministry of Education and Research of Romania integrates a new framework of the European Council, Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) ; - the current school textbooks of the Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish) and of English ; - the pedagogical activity in the teaching of various foreign languages. Nowadays, the ways of learning and teaching are numerous, but our analysis followsthe theoretical framework of CEFR, with the purpose of helping teachers, students and the authors of courses coordinate their efforts to enhance the quality of the teaching process. Our research opens the way for a deeper reflection as to the efficiency of the methods used today in the field of teaching foreign languages in high school. The modern Didactics tries to answer the requests of the society, proposing multiple strategies and adapted to form the students. The experience of the tradition associated with the capacity of innovation sets the new landmarks of school for a multicultural society. If the Romanian educational system wants to keep pace with the modernity, will have to continue the steps already made observing and applying the CEFR rules, to secure that the teachers are formed and are given the means to integrate this modernity in the actual teaching and practice in schools

Full textComics can be utilized for several purposes such as helping students in the learning process. It can stimulate students to read and can assist them to understand and think. The specific mechanism for that particular use of comics have to be defined in order to increase the understanding of the design of educational or instructionnal comics. We studied the integration, the use and the educational quality of comics in school’s manuels for the 6th grade of elementary, published between 2000-2010 (various disciplines). Findings conclude that the comics catch attention, motivate, provide context, are entertaining and understandable. However, there are very few comics inserted in school’s manuels and their educational value is poor. Overall, the results shows a lack of knowledge about the design of educational comics.

Full textThis research work focuses on the origin and evolution of a school subject based on handicrafts and/or technical education. A historical study allows to place the origins of handicrafts in general education, its characteristics and those of the teachers. A brief insight into professional technical education proved necessary to grasp its articulation with technical education within general education. A choser study of the 1970-1990 period at secondary school, brings out thetwo most recent: changes: *from handicrafts to crafts and technical education in 1975. * from crafts and technical education to technology in 1985. These changes are, inboth cases, the result of a reflection on the educational system and in particular on the reciprocal influence between education and society, technical culture, school and careers guidance. Thus will be brought out, over those periods of changes of structures, the educational value of handicrafts, the new orientation of crafts and technical education, the cultural aspect of technology wished for,and the ministerial arguments evoked to justify the redrafting of a school subject. The last chapters setting off from outhined problematics on the notion of school subject, describe today's technology and question on the hopes of stabilization

Full textThe complexity of reading French interact with non-cognitive and cognitive characteristics of the person who has intellectual disabilities it up in failure mode. All processes involved in the act of reading interact with these characteristics induce failures and delays of learning to read. Teachers wanting to use a textbook and integrated third grade’s students who don’t know how to read, have tho choices: to provide a first grade’s textbook or to provide a third grade’s textbook. If teachers give a first grade’s textbook to students that has accumulated two years behind in reading, it saw success, but the themes are infantilizing. If teachers give a third grade’s textbook, the themes are not infantilizing, but reading level, instead it consistently in failure. In response to this dilemma, the Groupe DÉFI Accessibilité did adapted textbooks. They are at first identical to the original Signet (third year), same themes, same page numbers, illustrations and even the same answers to the first two questions of each page, but the texts are simplified to allow reading the third grade’s children who has two years behind in this matter. The methodology for this research is the pedagogical analysis of value, a systematic method for development and evaluation of products, processes or services. This research is aimed at the final stage of the pedagogical analysis value. In pedagogical analysis value, as for this research, the testing has two purposes: to compare the prototype created functional specification covering all the functions that should fill the product to meet the needs of potential users and calculate productivity / efficiency. Since this is a first testing, a third is added, is the proposal of possible improvements to the prototype of suitable textbooks. The testing took place over six months. The sample included four teachers of third year, two special classes in regular classrooms and two. The latter teach 32 students users of suitable textbooks: six are dyslexic, four have insufficient knowledge of the language, one has adevelopmental disorder and 21 had mild intellectual disabilities. The four teachers confirmed the response of adapted textbooks to the functional specifications. In addition, the design phase was considered efficient and the using phase was conseidered productive.
