In this work, we studied, at low temperature, the coherent evolution of the localized electron and hole spins in a polycrystalline film of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPI) by using a picosecond-photo-induced Faraday rotation technique in an oblique magnetic field. We determined the electron and hole Landé factors when the magnetic field was applied in the plane of the film and perpendicular to the exciting light, denoted as transverse ⊥ factors, and when the magnetic field was applied perpendicular to the film and parallel to the exciting l

It has been already shown that it is possible to transfer standard reactions from gALD to sALD such as oxides and sulfides deposition. Abstract:
The surface topography plays significant role in lifetime of highly loaded machine parts with lubricated contacts. Many elements like gears, rolling bearings, cams and traction drives operate in mixed lubrication conditions, where the lubricant film behavior closely implies the main practical performance parameters such as friction wear, contact fatigue and scuffing. For prediction of wear and especially contact fatigue, the values and distribution of the pressure in rolling contact are often required. The usual theoretical approach based on numerical solution of physical-mathematical models b

The paper focuses upon shear-driven liquid film evaporative cooling of high-speed computer chips. Thin liquid films may provide very high heat transfer rates, however development of cooling system based on thin film technology requires significant advances in fundamental research. The paper presents new experimental data on flow and breakdown of a liquid film driven by the action of a forced gas flow in a horizontal minichannel (2 mm high), heated from a 22×6.55 mm heater. A map of isothermal flow regimes is plotted and the lengths of smooth region and region of 2D/3D wave occurrence are measu

The Canada Geological Map Compilation (CGMC) is a database of previously published bedrock geological maps sourced from provincial, territorial, and other geological survey organizations. The geoscientific information included within these source geological maps was standardized, translated to English, and combined to provide complete coverage of Canada and support a range of down-stream machine learning applications. Detailed lithological, mineralogical, metamorphic, lithostratigraphic, and lithodemic information was not previously available as one national-scale product. The source map data

Abstract:
This Open File presents national-scale mapping of ground ice conditions in Canada. The mapping depicts a first-order estimate of the combined volumetric percentage of excess ice in the top 5 m of permafrost from segregated, wedge, and relict ice. The estimates for the three ice types are based on modelling by O'Neill et al. (2019) (https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-13-753-2019), and informed by available published values of ground ice content and expert knowledge. The mapping offers an improved depiction of ground ice in Canada at a broad scale, incorporating current knowledge on the associations bet

Johns and Emery Valleys are in south-central Utah, about 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Panguitch in Garfield and Kane Counties, and have a population of about 360 residents. However, Bryce Canyon National Park forms the southeastern boundary of the study area and tourist visitation to the park and the valleys reaches the millions annually. Water resource development and water quality concerns in this seasonally overpopulated area have prompted our comprehensive study of groundwater in Johns and Emery Valleys. This report presents a new estimate of valley-fill thickness; six valley-fill cross s

In the Laurentian Great Lakes, the seismostratigraphy revealed by legacy seismic reflection profiles (i.e., analogue paper records) provides insight to the history of glaciation and deglaciation, sediment deposition and lake level history. Digital recovery and analysis of Great Lakes legacy seismic data is a cost-effective method to generate the offshore broad scale surfaces pertinent to the surficial framework geology layer required as input by three-dimensional stratigraphic studies. Abstract:
The Southeast Coast Network (SECN), with the support of the National Park Service (NPS) Vegetation Mapping Inventory Program, described and mapped vegetation at Cumberland Island National Seashore (CUIS). This mapping effort was accomplished through collaboration with the Southeast regional office of NatureServe (Raleigh/Durham, N.C.). The mapping area was 15,163.4 hectares (ha), encompassing the entire boundary of the seashore plus an additional buffered area. NatureServe ecologists identified plant associations for the seashore and a remote sensing specialist from the Southeast Coast Network
