Uchambuzi huu unatokana na kuwepo kwa matumizi ya maandiko hayo isiyosahihi, walimu kutokutumia maandiko hayo kwa kigezo cha uhaba wa upatikanaji na ukosekanaji wa ufahamu wa matumizi ya maandiko hayo. Kutokana na sababu hizo na kwa kuwa lugha ya Kiswahili kimawanda asili ya matumizi yake ni Tanzania, ni muhimu kuwepo kwa andiko hili ili kumwezesha mwalimu wa somo la Kiswahili kutumia maandiko hayo kwa ufanisi na kuhimiza uandaaji wa maandiko hayo kwa idadi inayotosheleza ili kupunguza uhaba. Abstract: Nowadays, Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program has a lot of constraints in the aspect of availability of work maps that occur at the Land Office. The constraints in making work maps can be overcome by technological capabilities as an instrument that helps the working process. One of them is using MapitGIS application that is a spatial information system whose operation process provides information in the form of attributes and capabilities in placing a spatial plot of land. The combination of technology utilization and community participation gives an opportunity for the successful implementation of PTSL. This study aims to explore the strategies of PTSL practices in the Cianjur Land Office and to diagnose how the quality of juridical data results from MapitGIS. A sequential mix method was conducted to achieve the goals by using an exploratory approach. The results of this study show that Cianjur Land Office has an innovation by using MapitGIS application at the planning stage, creating work maps, collecting juridical data and integrating the data and the amount of 1.146 data or 91.68% of Mapit Village Team are in accordance with the actual conditions. Keywords: mapitgis, community participation, PTSL Intisari: Kendala Pendaftaran Tanah Sistematis Lengkap (PTSL) dalam aspek ketersediaan peta kerja banyak terjadi di kantor pertanahan. Adapun kendala dalam pembuatan peta kerja ini bisa diatasi dengan adanya kemampuan teknologi sebagai instrumen yang membantu suatu proses pekerjaan. Aplikasi MapitGIS merupakan suatu sistem informasi spasial yang proses pengoperasiannya memberikan informasi berupa atribut dan kemampuan dalam menempatkan suatu spasial bidang tanah. Perpaduan antara pemanfaatan teknologi dan partisipasi masyarakat menjadi peluang keberhasilan pelaksanaan PTSL. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Cianjur dalam kegiatan PTSL dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas data yuridis hasil MapitGIS. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian campuran bertahap (sequential mix method) dengan pendekatan eksploratoris. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Cianjur melakukan inovasi dengan memanfaatkan Aplikasi Mapit GIS secara partisipatif pada tahapan perencanaan, pembuatan peta kerja, pengumpulan data yuridis dan integrasi data dan Sebanyak 1.146 data atau 91,68% data Tim Mapit Desa sesuai dengan kondisi yang sebenarnya. Abstract:
Background Home adaptation processes enhancing occupational engagement rely on identifying environmental barriers, generally during time-consuming home visits performed by occupational therapists (OTs). Relevance of a 3D model to the OT’s work has been attested, but a convenient and consumer-available technology to map the home environment in 3D is currently lacking. For instance, such a technology would support the exploration of home adaptations for a person with disability, with or without an OT visit. Objective The aim of this study was to document the development and acceptability of a 3D mapping eHealth technology, optimizing its contribution to the OT’s work when conducting assessments in which home representations are essential to fit a person’s needs. Methods A user-centered perspective, embedded in a participatory design framework where users are considered as research partners (not as just study participants), is reported. OTs, engineers, clinicians, researchers, and students, as well as the relatives of older adults contributed by providing ongoing feedback (eg, demonstrations, brainstorming, usability testing, questionnaires, prototyping). System acceptability, as per the Nielsen model, is documented by deductively integrating the data. Results A total of 24 stakeholders contributed significantly to MapIt technology’s co-design over a span of 4 years. Fueled by the objective to enhance MapIt’s acceptability, 11 iterations lead to a mobile app to scan a room and produce its 3D model in less than 5 minutes. The app is available for smartphones and paired with computer software. Scanning, visualization, and automatic measurements are done on a smartphone equipped with a motion sensor and a camera with depth perception, and the computer software facilitates visualization, while allowing custom measurement of architectural elements directly on the 3D model. Stakeholders’ perception was favorable regarding MapIt’s acceptability, testifying to its usefulness (ie, usability and utility). Residual usability issues as well as concerns about accessibility and scan rendering still need to be addressed to foster its integration to a clinical context. Conclusions MapIt allows to scan a room quickly and simply, providing a 3D model from images taken in real-world settings and to remotely but jointly explore home adaptations to enhance a person’s occupational engagement.

The article considers the structural and logical scheme of the methodology for creating electronic soil maps for land management engineering based on analog archival cartographic materials. The proposed scheme includes seven blocks: 1) building frames for 1:50,000 scale topographic map sheets in the geoinformation environment “Map 2011”; 2) scanning analog topographic maps with a scale of 1:50000; 3) binding a bitmap images of topographic maps to the sheet frames and cropping the frame image; 4) converting data from the GIS “Map 2011” to the GIS “MapInfo”; 5) scanning of archive analogue 1:10,000 scale soil maps and their binding to electronic 1:50000 topographic map in GIS “MapInfo”; 6) defining precision of referencing the raster 1:10,000 scale soil map to topographic 1:50,000 scale map; 7) bitmap image vectorization of a 1:10000 scale soil map in the GIS “MapInfo”. The content of methodology’s each block is disclosed. The developed methodology can be used for cartographic support of land management engineering and territorial planning.

In order to show the calculated results from numerical model of tidal current easily, the Mapinfo software may be help for the graphics display as its outstanding function, and its relation database also storages and manages the mass data from numerical model expediently. GIS technology would be applied by a square cell in map, and the combined application is discussed in the stage of modeling, computation and demonstration, including the original data in AutoCad document, computed data in numerical mode and graphic data in the table sheet of Mapinfo software. This method is tested in Shizi Yang channel, and the model results can be shown and inquired, which can improve the efficiency of mathematic model in modeling, debugging and after-managing.

Mapping information is needed when using geo-information technologies to develop a system of monitoring geological processes. The thematic basis of the engineering-geological map is a data Bank for assessing the state of the geological environment. The sources of the digital cartographic basis are remote sensing data and field survey materials. The data is included in the contents of the MapInfo working set. Engineering-geologic map consists of two thematic layers. The first layer - stratigraphic genetic complexes of surface deposits, their composition and physical and mechanical properties. The second layer is a characteristic of exogenous processes, including a description of the types, prevalence (scale) and intensity of manifestation separately for each group of processes: landslide, erosion, Aeolian, suffusion-karst, waterlogging and flooding. As an example, the map of soil density in MapInfo for the pipeline section is shown.

Abstract:
The features, advantages and disadvantages of using QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo Pro when creating atlases of various types (geographic, complex and thematic) are considered in this paper. Schemes for their potential organization are presented and technological schemes for their automated creation in these geographic information systems are proposed. As a result, approaches and solutions for improving geographic information software can be formulated. Algorithms and modules were developed, primarily aimed at formalizing the structure of atlases and automating the design process of their mathematical basis. The development of functionality was implemented using built-in developer tools implemented in MapInfo as the MapBasic language, and in ArcGIS and QGIS in the Python programming language. A summary table was compiled, which presents the basic functionalities required to create atlases in GIS and their implementation in the appropriate software. These proposals will ensure the fulfillment of all requirements necessary for atlas design, primarily at the regional mapping level.

There are two problems in TRIGRS operation. Firstly, whole data must have no mistake before being executed in TRIGRS. Secondly, TRIGRS is not completed by spatial visualization based on Geographic Information System (GIS), so it needs GIS <em>e.g.</em> MapInfo, ArcGIS, and ILWIS to visualize its result. The purpose of this paper is present the result of development of TRIGRS MAP by using integrated mapping technique between MapInfo and Visual Basic. Implementation of TRIGRS MAP for Bandung Regency area has generated a landslide susceptibility map of the area. By using TRIGRS MAP, user can avoid a mistake in data initialization and directly visualize its result as a map. Thus, TRIGRS MAP can be used to process data from other area for creating the landslide susceptibility map more easily and efficiently</p><p> </p>

Packrat middens radiocarbon dated at 12,280 ± 345 and 12,700 ± 165 yr B.P. record expansions of junipers and papershell pinyon (Pinus remota) into the desert lowlands of Durango and Coahuila, Mexico (26° N). Extralocal trees and shrubs presently occur 24–580 km in nearly all directions including more subtropical areas to the northeast and southeast. An equable Late Wisconsin climate marked by mild winters with increased precipitation and by cool summers with reduced summer monsoons is proposed. The extensive playas of the Bolson de Mapimi probably held water at that time. The Bolson de Mapimi was not a geographical refugium unaffected by glacial climates, although many Chihuahuan Desert plants and animals probably remain in situ as members of equable woodlands. Equable climates, low extinction rates, and repeated, rapid glacial/interglacial climatic fluctuations may have been important in the evolution and accumulation of species at lower latitudes.

Abstract: The activity of collecting land registration data is the main stage in the Complete Systematic Land Registration program (PTSL). Nowadays, the acceleration strategy by utilizing information technology such as Locus GIS and Mapit GIS as an android-based application for support land data collection activities has been widely used, both free and paid. Therefore, the factors of effectiveness of the application are important to be considered by the users so that they can be used appropriately and optimally according to user needs. This study aims to explore important matters related to the features owned and their advantages and disadvantages and usability of applications for collecting land registration data. Mix methods were used in this study which combines two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative approach. The data of this study was collected through interview, observation and questionnaire. The result of this study shows that 1) Application features of Locus GIS and Mapit GIS can be used for land data collection by considering the advantages and disadvantages of each; 2) The results of evaluating the utility test toward both applications for land data collection in accordance with ISO / IEC 9126-1 and ISO / IEC 9126-4 standards shows that it is equivalent to "Good" in the ratings and "Very Effective" in the categories.Keyword: The Effectiveness, Locus GIS, Mapit GIS, PTSL. Intisari: Pengumpulan data pendaftaran tanah menjadi tahapan utama dalam program Pendaftaran Tanah Sistematis Lengkap (PTSL). Strategi percepatan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi seperti Locus GIS dan Mapit GIS sebagai aplikasi berbasis android untuk mendukung kegiatan pengumpulan data pertanahan telah banyak digunakan dari yang gratis maupun yang berbayar. Maka dari itu faktor efektivitas aplikasi menjadi penting untuk dipertimbangkan pengguna sehingga bisa dimanfaatkan secara tepat dan optimal sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hal penting terkait fitur yang dimiliki beserta kelebihan dan kekurangannya dan kedayagunaan aplikasi untuk pengumpulan data pendaftaran tanah. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan mix methods yang menggabungkan dua bentuk pendekatan, yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitatif melalui wawancara, observasi dan pemberian kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini 1) Fitur Aplikasi Locus GIS dan Mapit GIS dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengumpulan data pertanahan dengan pertimbangan kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing; 2) Hasil evaluasi uji kedayagunaan kedua aplikasi untuk pengumpulan data pertanahan sesuai standar ISO/IEC 9126-1 dan ISO/IEC 9126-4 menunjukkan hasil dengan penilaian “Baik” dan kategori “Sangat Efektif”.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Locus GIS, Mapit GIS, PTSL.

Successful coordination of the implementation of improvement programs and operative solution of problems at all stages are possible only if the information base is prepared for making optimal management decisions. The use of modern information technologies, including geo-information technologies, makes it possible to ensure high quality of analytical and presentation materials created. The methodology for organization of work on the preparation of cartographic materials using geo-information technologies is shown: MapInfo software for processing and storing geographical information, GeoServer mapping software for publishing and managing geo-data in order to optimize the time spent, “Geo-bookmarks” utilities for automating the publication of cartographic and attribute information. The paper proposes a large-scale route search method based on bidirectional ant-colony microcanonical annealing algorithm, which adopts double search. The underlying idea is to verify the proposed path search method under the real road network of Changchun city. The paper uses matlab to encode algorithm and adopts Mapinfo software mapping network for contrastive analyzing the proposed path search method and classical algorithm. The results demonstrate that the proposed method is larger advantage in running time and the global optimal solution, which has a good practicability.
