Background: Gliomas are classified based from the molecular parameters involved in their pathogenesis, which influence their prognosis. The parameters are based on the mutation of the genes encoding the enzyme isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and 2 (IDH1 and IDH2), on the codelection of the arms of chromosome 1p/19q and the promoting hypermethylation of the MGMT gene. Objectives: identify tumor markers related to gliomas and their prognostic values. Methods: integrative review of the literature based on pubmed, lilacs and scielo platforms. Abstract:
This paper analyses the relationship between education and employment by examining various indicators related to education and labor market mismatch. It explores the education levels of the working-age population and their distribution among the employed and unemployed individuals. Additionally, it analyzes the extent of educational mismatch in terms of the status in employment and identifies the prevalence of informal employment among different educational groups. Furthermore, the paper sheds light on the skills needed on the labor market, highlighting the demand for specific skill sets. By e

In recent years, the context of the banking system, characterised by expansive monetary policies, has boosted the investments in leveraged loans. The COVID-19 pandemic brought the first real slowdown of the global economy since the financial crisis of 2007-08, and the growth of the leveraged loan market has been subject to significant attention from the competent authorities. Banks have remained solid despite the adverse outlook, however, the banking landscape continues to be impacted by the uncertainty relating to the evolution of the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to massive rates of unemployment and greater uncertainty in the job market. There is a growing need for data-driven tools and analyses to better inform the public on trends within the job market. In particular, obtaining a “snapshot” of available employment opportunities mid-pandemic promises insights to inform policy and support retraining programs. In this work, we combine data scraped from the Canadian Job Bank and Numbeo globally crowd-sourced repository to explore the relationship between job postings during a global pandemic and Key Performance Indic

Abstract:
This paper examines the labor market impact of an amnesty program in the Dominican Republic, that grants Venezuelan refugees and migrants an ID card that allows them to work legally. To identify the effect, we compare the outcomes of those who received and did not receive ID cards before and after they were issued, leveraging the unexpected timing of their distribution. Our findings reveal negligible effects on the extensive margin, but indicate positive effects on the quality of employment, particularly in the likelihood of having a written contract and working in the formal sector. We study the allocation of dynamic electric vehicle charging investments from the policymaker’s perspective, which aims to meet statewide emission-reduction targets for the Illinois passenger vehicle sector. We determine statewide charging deployment trajectories over a 30-year planning horizon and estimate their emission reduction. Electric vehicle demand functions model the electrified vehicle market growth and capture network externalities and spatial heterogeneity. Our analysis indicates that most chargers need to be deployed in the first 10 to 15 years of the transition to allow benefits

Over the last decade, the migration landscape in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) has changed significantly. In this context, the socio-economic integration of immigrants is an increasingly high priority on the regional development and policy agenda. Abstract:
Drought stress is a major limitation to bread wheat (Triticumaestivum L.) productivity and its yield stability in arid and semi-arid regions of world including parts of Israel and the U.S. Currently, breeding for sustained yields under drought stress is totally dependent on the use of yield and several key physiological attributes as selection indices. The attempt to identify the optimal genotype by evaluating the phenotype is undermining progress in such breeding programs. Osmotic adjustment (OA) is an effective drought resistance mechanism in many crop plants. Evidence exists that there is a

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) skin is composed of suberized phellem cells, the outer component of the tuber periderm. The focus of the proposed research was to apply genomic approaches to identify genes that control tuber skin appearance - smooth and shiny skin is highly preferred by the customers while russeted/netted skin potatoes are rejected. The breeding program (at Cornell University) seeks to develop smooth-skin varieties but has encountered frequent difficulties as inheritance of russeting involves complementary action by independently segregating genes, where a dominant allele at each
