Abstract:
Marriage enrichment is a wellness-based approach to strengthening key areas of marital success. This article develops the metaphor of marital muscle groups and integrates Adlerian theories of development and personality with Gottman’s behavioral approach to provide a model of enrichment that can be applied in a clinical setting. A case example illustrates the application of the approach.

Abstract:
The purpose was to investigate possible correlates [perception of parental marital satisfaction (Relationship Assessment Scale), marital status of parents, participation in marital enrichment, current stress, and sex] of marital satisfaction (Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale) and relational attachment (Revised Adult Attachment Scale). 71 young couples ( M age = 25.3 yr., SD = 3.2) in their first ten years of marriage completed the measures. Backward regression analysis indicated that marital status of parents, participation in marital enrichment, current stress, and sex accounted for a significant portion of the variance for the Anxiety subscale of the Revised Adult Attachment Scale. None of the models significantly accounted for the variance on the measure of marital satisfaction.

Abstract:
This article focuses on disciplinary interrelationships between philosophy and history within the framework of educational sciences. It deals with the epistemological, material, political, and categorical conditions of permeability, some of which initiate a separation of historical science from philosophy, whereas others allow, on the one hand, for history to profit from philosophy and, on the other, for philosophy to profit from history. The article illustrates how both history and philosophy benefit through reciprocal openness within education as an academic field. Permeability between history and philosophy in educational research may draw attention to lacunae on both sides and challenge methodological stereotypes and seemingly unavoidable dispositions of reasoning, the recognition of which may contribute to an enrichment of educational research.

Abstract:
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the Training in Marriage Enrichment (TIME) plan on increasing marital intimacy and psychological security of married women. Methods: The present research was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The study subjects (40 married women living in Mashhad City, Iran) were selected for the TIME plan with the available sampling method and according to the criteria for accepting couples. Then, they were randomly allocated to two equal groups. Of these, 20 were in the experimental group and 20 in the control group. The experimental group, along with regular medical care, received TIME plan for 8 weekly sessions of 2 hours (from May up to the end of July 2021) in the Psychology Clinic of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad City, Iran. The control group received only regular medical care in this period. Both groups responded to the Iranian version of the Bagarozzi marital intimacy needs questionnaire, and Maslow’s psychological security-insecurity questionnaire before the intervention (pretest) and immediately after the intervention (posttest). Results: After controlling the subjects’ age and education, the results of the statistical analysis showed a significant effect of the TIME plan on increasing the marital intimacy of women who were in the experimental group compared to the control group (P=0.001). Nevertheless, this plan did not increase women’s psychological security (P>0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this research show the importance and impact of the TIME plan training on increasing women’s marital intimacy, but it does not increase women’s psychological security. Therefore, in marriage counseling and interventions, it is possible to use the educational package of the TIME plan to improve the relationship of couples and increase their intimacy.

Abstract:
An inquiry into the role of fault in divorce may be taken as an invitation, for the Quebec jurist, to evaluate the place of misconduct in petitions for unequal “partition'' of the family patrimony. The author proposes an analysis of article 422 of the Civil Code of Québec based on a comparison with the law of family property in common law Canada. He observes a disinclination, felt in Quebec legal circles, to explore the connections between recourses under Quebec law for unjust enrichment in marriage and parallel remedies in common law. Basing himself principally on a review of rules similar to article 422 in Ontario law, he contends that a court should not allow ordinary measures of spousal misconduct to influence petitions for the unequal division of the family patrimony. Connecting the family patrimony to the statutory remedies for unjust enrichment in Ontario matrimonial law reveals a narrow idea of economic fault that underlies the judicial discretion at article 422 C.C.Q.

Abstract:
Living with a chronic illness such as multiple sclerosis (MS) has significant psychosocial ramifications. In particular, the patient's relationship with a spouse or significant other is often negatively affected. Programs are needed to address the psychosocial challenges of the illness and help improve outcomes for both the person with MS and his or her romantic support partner. Relationship Matters (RM) is a relationship enrichment program that integrates information and resources of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society with empirically based marriage education. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the RM program in increasing relationship satisfaction and aspects of health-related quality of life in couples living with MS over a 3-month follow-up period. Couples were given 8 hours of programming via in-person workshops disseminated across the country or teleconferences. A control group consisting of members of MS couples who did not receive the intervention was used for comparison. The results indicate that RM significantly improved relationship satisfaction over time compared with no intervention (P < .05). Additional findings include significant improvements in mental health–related quality of life as well as reported improvements in communication, conflict resolution, and ability to handle MS-specific relationship issues. Overall, these findings show that RM results in improved couple functioning and additional psychological health benefits for individuals with MS and their romantic support partners.

Abstract:
Human resource for health, especially nurses, is the greatest challenge worldwide for most of the countries. This shortage has compelled hospital’s management and leadership to identify its causes and strategize interventions to overcome the deficit in order to improve and sustain quality health care for patients. This paper identifies issues affecting nurses’ retention and suggests recommendations for creating job enrichment and enhancing retention at a private university hospital in Karachi Pakistan. A contextual secondary data analysis of M.Sc. Nursing thesis, exit interviews and external evaluators’ report (2004) of a private university hospital in Karachi Pakistan along with review national and international studies published during 2001- 2013 on the factors affecting and strategies to improve nurses’ retention, attrition and job satisfaction. The contextual secondary analysis identifies the 5Ms including “management, migration, marriage, money and mother in law” to be the reasons of resignations identified among nurses. Whereas global literature highlighted two sets of reasons one is related to work life including higher education opportunities for career advancement, personal reasons, marriage, family commitment, and relocation for better prospects. The other set of reasons are work environment including overwork, lack of collegiality with co-workers, and lack of recognition from management. Moreover a model for nurses’ retention was developed to suggest ways to protect health human capital investment in a private university hospital. With prevailing country security situation in Pakistan, high cost impact of retention, sponsorship and escalating overseas demand, turnover will continue to remain a constant challenge. Healthcare organizations are strongly advised to invest in talent management practices that will have the greatest value for ensuring a steady workforce of qualified and engaged nurses.

Abstract:
The article highlights some aspects of the Mordovian-Russian ethno-legal and ethno-cultural ties that have a centuries-old history, which led to mutual enrichment, the penetration of cultures, the development of many common norms of life and everyday life. The willingness to borrow and process influences in the organization of the lifestyles of Russians and Mordvins is associated with the compatibility of the mentalities that determined their perception of the world. As a result of the conducted research, the author came to the conclusion that the Russian and Mordvinian peoples, in the conditions of long-term good neighborliness, managed to carry through the centuries the original language and customs of their ancestors, each of them adapted the fundamental traditional norms of behavior of each other, and mainly Russian, in their culture. The general and special ethno-cultural and ethno-legal features of everyday life and life were especially vividly manifested in the communal structure, institutions of marriage and family, religious relations. The experience of the Mordvins in learning the Russian language testified to the progress of adaptation within the framework of a single state-legal space.

Abstract:
The actualization of attention to this problem is caused by the fact that there has been a revival and development of the church and judicial system in Russia. It is obvious that the church and judicial system and canon law influenced on the formation of the Russian judicial system. The scientific novelty of this study is that it reflects the sources that were first introduced into scientific circulation, which contributes to a deeper theoretical understanding and actual enrichment of this problem. The aim of the study is to give a categorical description of the participants in court cases and the system of punishment in the Tobolsk diocese in the 17th–18th centuries, since the formation of the judicial system in the region has special features. Despite the large number of works on the history of the Russian Orthodox Church, the normative legal framework and practice of the church and judicial system were not given sufficient attention. The analysis of the material obtained in the course of this study makes it possible to fill in the existing gaps. The methodological basis of the research is the principle of historicism (from which private methods – problem-chronological, historical-comparative, historical-system and historical-typological), the principle of systematic and the principle of objectivity. The archpastors of Tobolsk had broad powers in church and judicial matters, based on the decrees of the tsar and the patriarch. To their help were appointed clerical elders, customers, the desyati and the pyatidesyati priests, the vicars, desyatilniy, deacons, boyars' children, thanes, lenders, bailiffs and nedelschick etc. A particularly acute problem in the study period was family relations, which was aggravated by the lack of a sufficient number of women in Siberia. The result of the study should be a description of the participants in cases and punishments considered by the church and judicial authorities of the Tobolsk diocese. Most of the church court cases concerned certificates of illegal marriages, divorce, forced marriage and theft of church property, dishonest behaviour of clergies and clergymen, etc.

Abstract:
The present study focuses on the demographic and labor characteristics of coaches in Spain. Kanter’s theory on occupational sex segregation will be used as a guiding framework. The study was conducted with 1685 coaches (82.3% men and 17.7% women) from different sports and performance domains. The results show that there is an underrepresentation of women as coaches in Spain and data highlight that coaches’ gender is related to three structural factors: opportunity, power, and proportion. The present data reveal that women are younger, less likely to be in a marriage-like relationship, less likely to have children, and more likely to have competed at a high level as an athlete when compared to their male counterparts. However, fewer women than men access and participate in coach education in Catalonia and the working status of women was different to that of men. To expand, women worked less hours, were more likely to be assistant coaches, and had less years of coaching experience. Understanding of how gender influences women’s access, progression, and retention in coaching in Spain illustrates the need for gender sport policies and practices in sport organizations. This approach can benefit not only women, but the diversity and enrichment of the coaching system.

Abstract:
But for an extraordinary order for a division of the joint estate stante matrimonio under section 20 or 21 of the Matrimonial Property Act 88 of 1984, the default joint estate of spouses married in community of property will come to an end with the demise of the marriage. This is either with the death of the firstdying spouse or by an order of the divorce court. It is impossible to extend the joint estate beyond these moments. With the end of the joint estate, the erstwhile spouses (or the estate of the demised spouse) are entitled to claim half of the value of the erstwhile joint estate. If the parties are unable to reach an amicable agreement to this end, a liquidator will be appointed to finalise the division of the assets. As from the end of the marriage, the former spouses have separate estates. Any new acquisition, gift, inheritance or income acquired after that date falls into the newly founded separate estate of the holder, and the other party has no claim to share in these assets. In Koko v Koko the respondent was married in community of property to Mr Koko in 1979 but that marriage ended in divorce by court order in 2001. The respondent left the previous marital home that was registered as joint property in the names of both spouses and retained inter alia some movable property from the erstwhile joint estate. Mr Koko remained in the house and continued to pay all rates and taxes, and the outstanding debt secured by a mortgage bond was amortised by the time of his demise. He later married the applicant and the couple lived in the house until his demise in 2013. Only years later did the respondent claim half of the current value of the immovable property as the still-registered co-owner. In this contribution, attention is devoted to the justifiability of the premise of the court that the claim should succeed notwithstanding the fact that more than nineteen years had lapsed since the applicable joint estate ended with the divorce order and the claimant did not contribute to the current unencumbered value of the property. If the claim to half of the value of the former joint estate is categorised as a personal right of the claimant, it is submitted that the effect of extinctive prescription should have been considered. By default, a debt is extinguished after three years and just the listed categories of debts mentioned in section 11(a) of the Prescription Act, including a judgment debt, will prescribe only after 30 years. It is submitted that the division of the joint estate is a natural consequence of the end of the marriage in community of property, and in KwaZulu-Natal orders for a division of the joint estate of parties married in community of property are consistently refused when divorce orders are granted for the very reason that they are unnecessary. In the absence of an applicable court order, the relevant debt cannot be defined as a “judgment debt” and the default prescription period governed by section 11(d) of Act 68 of 1969 should apply. It is inequitable that a previous spouse may, more than nineteen years after the divorce, benefit from the subsequent enhanced value of an asset that formed part of the erstwhile joint estate at the cost of another, who had contributed to that currently enhanced value of the asset since the joint estate came to an end. It boils down to unjustified enrichment if this is accomplished under the guise of her joint ownership of the immovable property still registered in the names of the former spouses as original co-owners because the real right of ownership is imprescriptible. A personal claim for half of the value of the assets in the estate would, however, have been prescribed after three years since the claim had vested.

Abstract:
In this article, I discuss the issues of mixed marriages, referring to research conducted by Polish sociologists, psychologists and educators. On this basis, I try to show possible areas of conflict in this type of relationships, various strategies for working out compromises as well as various relations with the social microstructure. I emphasise problems related to bringing up children in a bi-cultural family environment, in particular aspects of bi-religious home education. My intention is also to identify potential areas of intercultural enrichment and the emergence of new cultural capital in mixed families. I also reflect on PolishJewish marriages by recalling the biography of a representative of the third generation of the Holocaust survivors, married to a Catholic, who has introduced, together with her husband, a model of dualistic education. The research was based on the biographical method, unstructured/indepth interviews. The article presents one of the elements of broader research, which focused on the construction of the socio-cultural identity of the narrators.
