Introdução: A relação de gênero é evidenciada nas lutas. As mulheres que praticam artes marciais são geralmente reconhecidas como masculinizadas, fora do padrão de corpo ideal feminino ou até homossexuais, por praticar um “esporte de homem”. Esse estereotipo não é exclusivo dos homens, muitas mulheres são preconceituosas em relação as escolhas esportistas, com o pensamento que existem esportes que masculinizam as mulheres.
