Abstract:

Contrary to the idea that there are fundamental differences between the work of Martin Heidegger and Walter Benjamin, the thesis shows that there exists a profound similarity in the direction of their projects, by exploring how they took up Kant's critical legacy concerning the temporality of language: the belonging together of language and time. The ground of Kant's system and of the necessity of systematicity - the three-fold synthesis which 'generates' time under the direction of conceptuality - is elucidated via the Second Analogy and the Critique of Teleological Judgment. It is argued that Kant's understanding of language and time remains fixed within a circular justification of Newtonian Science, which prevented him from taking up the critical resources of his treatment of teleological concepts and applying it to his idea of the critical system itself. Heidegger's and Benjamin's work may be understood as taking up the hermeneutic circularity of Kant's philosophical system, though freeing it from its appeal to a limited time determination. They both develop notions of a more originary temporality in conjunction with a linguistic phenomenology. They further allow this more critical thinking of language and time to reflexively fall back on the writing of philosophy itself. Their understanding of the temporality of language is explored through the way 'translation' focuses, in each case, a thinking of tradition and of linguistic works. The thesis rejects attempts to separate Heidegger's early work from his later approach, and further rejects a tendency to focus on Benjamin's style of writing in isolation from its theoretical basis. The thesis concludes by arguing that the work of both Heidegger and Benjamin points to a rethinking of Kant's legacy of the necessity of system, in terms of system as the inescapable belonging together of language and time.

Abstract:

La pensée de Martin Heidegger ne peut pas être simplement « vérifiée » par les voies de la logique – que celle-ci soit traditionnelle ou contemporaine. L'« argumentation » qui y a cours ne s'y soumet pas. Heidegger a souvent lui-même fait état de cette particularité de son entreprise philosophique tout en prenant soin à chaque fois de la distancier de tout irrationalisme. Lorsque Heidegger tente de persuader son lecteur de philosopher « vraiment », ce qu'il fait de façon récurrente, il faut donc penser que ce n'est pas non plus « en toute logique ». Ce mémoire met à l'épreuve l'hypothèse d'un acheminement à la philosophie qui passerait – en deçà de la raison dominante – par la strate affective de la relation auteur-lecteur, ou orateur-auditeur. La rhétorique qui en découle n'est cependant pas une logique des sentiments de l'individu, elle ne prend pas appui sur une psychologie, mais sur le déploiement de l'être même. Entre cette rhétorique fondée sur le déploiement de l'être et la philosophie comme « pensée de l'être », il y aurait ainsi une proximité d'essence. Loin d'être un expédient fallacieux, la rhétorique serait ici la voie toute désignée. Pour mettre cette hypothèse à l'épreuve, nous en exposerons d'abord la nécessité, puis nous chercherons à débusquer la rhétorique à l'œuvre, d'Être et Temps jusqu'aux temps du rectorat – de 1927 à 1934.

Este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar comparativamente perfis de marcadores bioquímicos que melhor caracterizem e/ou associem-se às dislipidemias, na modalidade diagnóstica por ampliar a estratificação do risco cardiovascular ou no seu monitoramento para melhor condução. Para isso avaliamos o perfil lipídico composto por colesterol total, triglicérides, colesterol da lipoproteína de alta densidade e da lipoproteína de baixa densidade; esta com a fórmula de Martin, e ainda o colesterol em conteúdo que não faz parte das lipoproteínas de alta densidade, correlacionando-os com os marcadores: lipoproteína a, apoproteína B e colesterol da lipoproteína de baixa densidade; com uso do método homogêneo. Foram selecionados 1012 pacientes, segmentados por faixas etárias, sexo e condição de uso ou não de inibidores de produção hepática do colesterol. Para ampliar o poder dessa análise agrupada os exames realizados foram separados em subgrupos, considerando-se valores obtidos e metodologias utilizadas; correlacionando-se os resultados. A pesquisa foi realizada com variáveis qualitativas e quantitativas, procedendo-se ao uso de testes estatísticos não paramétricos para sua compreensão, distribuição e análise agrupada. Nossos resultados mostraram evidências que o risco cardiovascular não se associa apenas ao colesterol da lipoproteína de baixa densidade obtido pela fórmula de Martin, mas a outras variáveis, sob associação às seguintes análises comparativas: que o uso da apoproteína B amplia o diagnóstico de inclusão das dislipidemias em 43% usando valores referenciais sexo-independentes e com uma nova faixa de monitoramento em 84 mg/dL. Que o colesterol da lipoproteína de baixa densidade obtido pelo método homogêneo apresenta discordância analítica em +3,5% e tendo estratificação diagnóstica 48% superior. E que a lipoproteína a apresenta-se superior a 30 mg/dL em 26% dos pacientes, porém com prevalência e segmentação específicas nas mulheres entre 51 a 60 anos, sendo necessária sua análise numa aparente discordância, superior a 10 mg/dL, quando da comparação de resultados entre a fórmula de Martin e o método homogêneo.
This study aims to comparatively evaluate the profiles of biochemical markers that best characterize and / or associate with dyslipidemias, in the diagnostic modality by increasing the stratification of cardiovascular risk or its monitoring for better conduction. For this, we evaluated the lipid profile composed of total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and low density lipoprotein; and the cholesterol in non-high density lipoprotein content, correlating them with the markers: lipoprotein A, apoprotein B and low density lipoprotein cholesterol; using the homogeneous method. A total of 1012 patients were selected, segmented by age, sex and condition of use or inhibition of hepatic cholesterol production. In order to increase the power of this group analysis the exams were separated into subgroups, considering the obtained values and methodologies used; correlating the results. The research was carried out with qualitative and quantitative variables, using nonparametric statistical tests for their comprehension, distribution and grouped analysis. Our results showed evidence that cardiovascular risk is not only associated with the low density lipoprotein cholesterol obtained by Martin's formula, but other variables, in association with the following comparative analyzes: that the use of apoprotein B expands the diagnosis of inclusion of dyslipidemias in 43 % using genderindependent baseline values and with a new monitoring range of 84 mg/dL. That the low density lipoprotein cholesterol obtained by the homogeneous method presents an analytical disagreement at + 3.5% and having a 48% higher diagnostic stratification. In addition, lipoprotein a levels were higher than 30 mg/dL in 26% of the patients, but with a specific prevalence and segmentation in women between the ages of 51 and 60 years, with an apparent disagreement of more than 10 mg/dL when of the comparison of results between the Martin formula and the homogeneous method.

Arvo Pärt's Concerto Piccolo über B-A-C-H for trumpet, strings, harpsichord, and piano is a brief yet challenging work in the trumpet repertoire. A carefully articulated performance guide is necessary to aid trumpeters in overcoming the numerous musical challenges presented in this piece. Currently, there is no resource that helps in solving performance choices and difficulties in this work. This first section of this document provides historical and contextual information on Arvo Pärt, his compositional output during his experimental period, and subsequently, Concerto Piccolo. The second section includes a performance analysis of the work, while the third gives trumpet players pedagogical suggestions and practical exercises for proper preparation of Concerto Piccolo. This guide presents performers with relevant background, analytical, and pedagogical information required for an informed and high-level performance.

Abstract:

Le mythe de la caverne de Platon qui ouvre le livre VII de La République, plonge ses racines dans l’héritage spirituel et immémorial de l’humanité. Les multiples interprétations qui en ont été données, ont, chacune, mis en lumière un aspect particulier du mythe platonicien. Ainsi, le sens du mythe de la caverne n’est pas invariable ; bien au contraire, il est sujet au changement, car la difficulté d’interprétation qui le caractérise, ouvre la voie à une forte variabilité de la signification à donner à chacun des symboles et à la façon dont ces derniers se définissent les uns par rapport aux autres. En conséquence, la signification originale du mythe de la caverne échappe, de fait et depuis toujours, à toute la tradition philosophique interprétative ultérieure ; c’est pourquoi Heidegger a réinvesti massivement ce récit, en sautant par-dessus toutes les interprétations antérieures, afin de nous en proposer une approche originaire. Toutefois, est-il raisonnable d’affirmer que l’interprétation originaire de Heidegger donne le fin mot du sens initial du mythe ? Notre recherche se propose donc de démontrer, au contraire, que le mythe de la caverne recouvre une signification platonicienne originale qui n’a jamais été entièrement développée et exploitée par les interprètes de ce dernier. En effet, si le livre VII de La République constitue le commentaire original de Platon vis-à-vis du mythe de la caverne, ce commentaire natif platonicien pourrait recéler tous les philosophèmes métaphysiques, épistémologiques et politiques nécessaires pour éclairer, puissamment et à nouveaux frais, la symbolique du mythe de la caverne. De facto, s’en dégagerait-il une signification platonicienne originale et surtout inédite qui pourrait soit se rapprocher du sens de l’interprétation originaire de Heidegger, soit s’en éloigner de façon irréductible ?

Abstract:

S’inscrivant dans l’horizon de la phénoménologie développée par le penseur allemand Martin HEIDEGGER (1889-1976), le présent mémoire vise à offrir un diagnostic philosophique et phénoménologique portant sur l’époque qui nous est contemporaine. Soixante-six ans après la parution du texte allemand de la conférence « La question de la technique » (Die Frage nach der Technik, 1953) et compte tenu de la technicisation et de la dévastation progressive du monde habité par l’homme qui sont caractéristiques de notre époque, il apparaît nécessaire de repenser à nouveaux frais cette « question de la technique » à partir du corpus heideggérien ainsi que des divers commentaires s’y étant depuis ajoutés. Identifiant avec Heidegger la « technique moderne » comme le trait fondamental de notre époque, cette recherche vise à réinterpréter le concept de « technique », en le délestant des interprétations successives de la tradition philosophique qui en ont fait un ensemble de moyens en vue de fins. Ce faisant, le concept de technique se voit déployé dans toute son historialité et par-delà sa détermination métaphysique comme dévoilement de l’étant, c’est-à-dire comme mode de la vérité, comprise par Heidegger comme hors-retrait (Unverborgenheit, ἀλήθεια). Par ce dévoilement, l’étant apparaît sous une certaine lumière déterminant avec précision la teneur phénoménologique de l’étant à dévoiler. Suivant toujours Heidegger, nous explorons ensuite le terme de Dispositif (Gestell) qui nomme l’infrastructure métaphysique régissant le mode d’apparaître de tout phénomène à l’époque de la technique. Notre travail tente du même souffle de montrer comment l’histoire de la métaphysique occidentale, comprise comme histoire de l’être et de son oubli successif, mène à son propre achèvement dans l’avènement moderne de cette époque. Au terme de notre recherche, il apparaît que la technique moderne, en tant que trait fondamental de notre époque, détermine l’apparaître même de l’étant, c’est-à-dire le type d’étant auquel les sujets qui nous sont contemporains auront accès ; notre phénoménalité se faisant dès lors intégralement technicienne. Le présent mémoire montre en ce sens en quoi notre époque est à la fois celle de la domination de la technique, sous la figure paradigmatique du Dispositif (Gestell) planétarisé, et celle de l’accomplissement de la métaphysique occidentale, née en Grèce il y a plus de deux millénaires. En guise d’ouverture conclusive, le présent travail aborde finalement le « Danger » (die Gefahr) ainsi que la possibilité corollaire d’un « Sauver » (Retten) qui gisent selon Heidegger au sein du Dispositif.

Le scriptorium de Saint-Martin de Tours fut un centre de production artistique prospère (architecture, sculpture, épigraphie, peintures murales, manuscrits), marqué par les années fastes alcuiniennes : le codex « B. M. Tours, Ms 193 » s'inscrit dans cette tradition scripturaire et iconographique. Manuscrit composite (Sacramentaire de 1180, Antiphonaire du XIIIe siècle, documents historiques des XIIIe-XIVe siècles), témoin des tâtonnements dans la constitution des missels, son étude révéla un héritage liturgique alcuinien. Son décor atteste d’une dévotion martinienne, apostolique, mariale, christologique, trinitaire, révélateur d’une affirmation de la communauté martinienne face aux pouvoirs présents dans la cité (Evêque, Bourgeois), plaidoyer pour une Ecclesia unie. Ce codex « B. M. Tours, Ms 193 » incarne la Memoria de Saint-Martin de Tours, glorifiant son lieu de réalisation, sa communauté, rétablissant, pour le XIIe siècle, un prestige passé sous silence après Alcuin
The scriptorium of Saint-Martin of Tours was a center of prosperous artistic production (architecture, sculpture, epigraphy, wall painting, manuscripts), marked by Alcuin’s years splendors : the codex « B. M. Tours, Ms 193 » joins in this scripturary and iconographic tradition. Composite manuscript (Sacramentary of 1180, Antiphonary of XIIIth century, historic documents of the XIIIth-XIVth centuries), witness of experimentations in the constitution of missals, its study revealed a liturgical alcuinian inheritance. Its ornementation gives evidence of a martinian worship, apostolic, marial, christologic, trinitarian, revelation of an assertion of the martinian community in front of powers present in the city (bishop, burgess), plea for united Ecclesia. Abstract:

Ce mémoire se donne pour objectif de montrer le lien entre le développement de la thèse de Martin Heidegger au sujet de l’essence de la vérité et son interprétation critique de la philosophie de Platon au cours de la période du « tournant ». Pour ce faire, nous retracerons dans une première partie la genèse de la thèse heideggérienne sur l’essence de la vérité d’Être et Temps (1927) à « De l’essence de la vérité » (1930). Nous nous intéresserons ensuite dans une deuxième partie aux diverses interprétations de Heidegger de la philosophie de Platon entre 1931 et 1943. Nous chercherons alors à montrer la complémentarité de ces interprétations par-delà leurs nombreuses différences. L’ensemble de ce parcours fera ressortir que la matrice de l’évolution de la thèse de Heidegger sur l’essence de la vérité réside dans l’évolution de son rapport à Platon, lequel vacille toujours entre l’admiration et la reconnaissance d’une dette, et la nécessité d’un dépassement.
