Abstract:
This article explores the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs – Self Actualization also study aims to examine the thoughts brought by Western figures related to Hierarchy of Needs Abraham Maslow in Islamic Perspective which the most idea comes from Al Ghazali’s tought. The hierarchy of needs consisting with five elements, there are: First, physiological needs are the most basic needs in Abraham Maslow's hierarchy. Second, the need for security, Third, social needs occupy Fourth, the need for gratitude Fifth, self-actualization needs are the highest ranked needs in Abraham Maslow's hierarchy. Maslow describes self-actualization by providing emphasis on full-humanness, arising from the development of human biological nature, and in accordance with their birth destiny. The conclusion that we can write here is The Islamic ontological perspective is not incorporated in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. In addition to the alleged ethnocentrism, non-universality and invalidity, the following mindsets distinguish Maslow’s theory from an Islamic point of view: (a) materialistic-based, (b) the absence of spiritual aspect and different interconnectedness between material and spiritual needs, and world-orientation, disregarding the hereafter. But, Islam can elaborate Maqasid al-Syari’ah (the objectives of Islamic law), human needs are grouped into three descending categories of significance: dharuriyyat (essential), hajiyyat (complementary), tahsiniyyat (embellishment). Dharuriyyat is the must-exist necessities that if not fulfilled will result in an imperfect human life as well as threaten the safety of humanity both in this world and the hereafter. This is inherent in the preservation of religion, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth. Hajiyyat is the complementary needs to remove hardships that are contained in the process of satisfying the necessities. Tahsiniyyat refers to things that embellish people’s lives by adding quality to the necessities.

Two scales have been proposed to measure Maslow's hierarchy of needs in college students, one by Lester (1990) and one by Strong and Fiebert (1987). In a sample of 51 college students, scores on the corresponding scales for the five needs did not correlate significantly and positively, except for the measures of physiological needs. Furthermore, there was limited support for Maslow's hypothesis that need deprivation would predict psychopathology (specifically, mania and depression).

Abstract:
Maslow's initial five levelled theory of ‘hierarchy of needs is one of the most popular theories on motivation albeit its many criticisms particularly related to the lack of scientific rigour to narrow cultural perspectives. However, it’s propensity towards the self has called for a review of the theory with Maslow himself finally proposing a sixth level (self-transcendence) at the new apex of the pyramid above ‘self-actualization’ and the other four levels of needs. However, the original five level of needs is still preferred by most researchers globally. Human motivation and needs have long been discussed in ‘Islamic scholarship’ for centuries, but it is rarely represented in ‘Western academic’ discussions of ‘Islamic motivation’. Unfortunately, some studies tend to explore the integration of Islamic theories and Western ideologies by incorporating the Maqasid Sharī‘ah with ‘Maslow’s hierarchy of needs’. Such approach tends to ignore the distinct influence of Islam on behaviour and self-perception as Islam delivers a unique ‘spiritual perspective’ on the relationship between motivators and the self that most ‘Western models’ do not provide. The authors believe that the Maqasid Sharī‘ah is constantly revolving in a dynamic state that changes continuously and should not be portrayed as static in nature. Thus, a framework with the Maqasid Sharī‘ah as overarching contextual factor that constantly influences Maslow's five levels of needs is proposed accordingly.

Abstract:
Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which also discusses self-actualization, has been widely studied to increase meaning in various areas of life. However, there are many criticisms of the hierarchy theory, which automatically criticizes the concept of self-actualization. This criticism is increasingly visible when viewed with the Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah approach, which in its conception is highly concerned with the preservation of religion. Therefore, this article discussed the results of the critical study of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs based on the Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah perspective. Based on library research with a critical analysis approach, it could be concluded that: first, Maslow's critical analysis of the hierarchy could be divided into two, namely criticism of hierarchy theory and the concept of self-actualization. Second, criticisms of Maslow's hierarchy theory included: the absence of religious elements in his theory and its irrelevance to the realities of people's lives. Third, criticism of Maslow's self-actualization included the absence of a clear definition of self-actualization. Furthermore, in practice, it led to an individual-materialistic attitude. Fourth, all these criticisms led to the Western humanist perspective, especially Abraham Maslow, who views humans as only mind, soul, and heart without any spirit or religion, which is the essence of Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah.

Abstract:
Short stories are literary essays embodying intrinsic and extrinsic elements. The short story "Love and Lies" delves into psychological manifestations indicative of mental illness or disorders in female characters. This research employs Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of human needs theory, as it stratifies the psychological life of human beings into hierarchical needs. Utilizing quantitative descriptive methods, researchers examine the short stories of "Love and Lies" by Husnul Khotimah as the primary data source. Analysis involves an intensive exploration of literary works, identifying and correlating data with Maslow's theory. The novel is scrutinized through the lens of Maslow's hierarchy, encompassing physiological, safety, belongingness and love, esteem, and self-actualization needs. The findings affirm that all five levels are met, concluding that characters in "Love and Lies" fulfill the psychological hierarchy proposed by Maslow.

Abstract:
This study identifies all observable action verbs in the Senior High School core mathematics curriculum and links them to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. All the 217 identified action verbs were further grouped in a matrix form in the order of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs against the major headings as stated above in the syllabus. The study collated the frequencies and percentages of the action verbs in a matrix form using Microsoft Office Excel 2019. The study revealed that each of the verbs represents the key profile component of each objective. The study revealed that teachers should evaluate students appropriately in their knowledge and understanding, invention and creativity, analysis, and application, as these represent the growing needs in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It also revealed how the curriculum designers intended for students to fulfill the majority of their needs in the teaching and learning column of Maslow's hierarchy matrix through these activities. To accomplish the predetermined goal, the study advises teachers to employ these action verbs as they arise in the curriculum's objective for the subject being studied. Future studies should look into whether the mathematics curriculum's application of 21st-century skills aligns with the needs hierarchy's stages.

Abstract:
One of the most influential and often quoted content theories of human motivation is Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Maslow’s theory is based on an assumption that all humans are motivated by a hierarchy of needs that are fundamental and universal. While many studies have attested to the wide relevance and applicability of this model, some other legitimate studies have argued that the theory is limited in terms of its universal applicability because of its Anglo-Saxon monoculture orientation. In view of these differing points of view, this thesis investigates and tests the extent to which Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs model is applicable or relevant to a Saudi organisational context. The empirical study was undertaken at two Saudia Arabian universities. One of the universities has a devout religious orientation while the other is, relatively, moderately religious in its outlook. The research utilised Porter’s Needs Satisfaction Questionnaire to collect the data. The data then underwent a quantitative (e.g. Q-Sort) analysis and a qualitative (thematic) analysis, yielding a number of findings related to the research questions and objectives. The findings suggest that Maslow’s theory of motivation is not universally applicable. The research generates a hierarchy of needs that is not the same as that proposed by Maslow’s theory. Furthermore, the findings reveal differences in the order of these needs across gender and religion. Therefore, this research has generated a new, refined order of motivational drivers in the Saudi organisational context, which reflects contextual influences of gender and religion.

This study examined if there are any correlation between school performance and upbringing in two countries with different cultures. The upbringing was represented by Maslow's hierarchy of needs that through five categories explains the human needs. The way students who participaded responded on questions based on Maslow's theory gave an indication on how their upbringing was. To know the students grades they were asked about their past school preformance in three subjects english, math and their native language. Data was collected with a questionnarie with 15 questions based on Maslow's steps on the hiarchy of needs. This study wanted to examine similarites and differences between these two countries to see if Maslow's theory correspond to reality regardless of what gruop that is examined and therefore be able to ascertain if there is something the countries can do to raise their students preformance. The results showed that there where differances in both upbringing and school performance. The focus of this study is to dig deeper into what motivates volunteer travelers. The commercial side of volunteer travelling has increased in the past years, and young Swedes pay large amounts of money to travel to other countries and work as volunteers. The purpose of this study is to get a glimpse into what motivates these young people, and how this correlates to the rapid increase of commercial travelling bureaus that focus on volunteer travelling. Five people under the age of 30, who had been volunteering through a commercial travelling agency, where interviewed for this study. The results show that the main motivation for paying to go work abroad is actually the experience, meeting new people and seeing new things. The motivational factor of helping people turned out to be secondary.

Abstract:
This research focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of a youth counselling program with an innovative service delivery model influenced by Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. The Peel Youth Counsellor Program (PYCP) is a promotion, prevention and early intervention program conceived as a result of an identified local need for a specialised program to work alongside mainstream mental health to provide services to youth aged 15 to 25 years. The PYCP began operation in January 2001 and is administered by the Peel Community Mental Health Service although is located fulltime in a community youth centre. The central service provision framework and understanding of youth engagement is based on youth friendly mental health services and Maslow's research into human motivation and its application to service delivery. The research outlines a comprehensive evaluation that was conducted using Austin's (1982) 'Objectives-Orientated' approach that uses a six step process to guide the implementation and analysis of what the program has achieved. The results suggest that the use of a community based youth counselling program adjunct to mainstream mental health, improves opportunities for promotion and prevention, and early (prodrama) intervention with a range of youth health and mental health issues, especially depression and suicide. With this information it is hoped that consideration will be made about current practice as well as the future development of mainstream mental health both giving priority to "youth" as an important entity in service provision.

We also present, having the multidimensional approach as background, a proposal for a poverty measurement index, somehow innovative regarding the weighting of different attributes considered as elements of deprivation. The aim of the proposed index is to measure poverty as a multidimensional phenomenon, where each dimension of deprivation is weighted in the index according to the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. This way of weighting makes the proposed index different from the existing indices given that it incorporates elements of a consolidated psychological theory in its structure. Finally, the index is applied using the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) microdata for Portugal in 2007, and compared with two other methods of measuring multidimensional poverty.

Full text
Abstract:
It is well recognized that due to customers’ ever-growing material and cultural needs for a better life, an increasing number of people choose to experience premium hotels on their work trips or personal travels to keep top-tier elite membership of premium hotels. Previously, most luxury consumption research showed that higher needs drive consumer behaviour, such as identifying recognition and self-esteem. However, many people still focus on achieving job tasks, increasing income, or saving money by their membership. This phenomenon brings a puzzle about whether keeping top-tier elite membership of premium hotels is driven by spiritual needs or economic needs. To address that, this study drew on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory. It investigates the effects of spiritual needs (higher need) and economic needs (lower need) on consumer willingness to keep top-tier elite membership of premium hotels and how individual education levels moderate these effects. This study administers an online questionnaire-based survey among top-tier elite membership owners of premium hotels in mainland China. It uses the PLS-SEM technique to analyse the 150 valid questionnaires we collected. Our empirical findings indicate that spiritual needs, instead of economic needs, are the key driver to encourage consumers to maintain their top-tier elite membership of premium hotels. Furthermore, we uncover the moderating effect of individual education level and determine that the positive impact of spiritual needs on consumer willingness to keep top-tier elite membership of premium hotels is strengthened among highly educated people. Therefore, this study mainly reinforces the theoretical and practical value of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs in luxury consumption research and extends its application, meanwhile, advances the research on luxury consumption and particularly in top-tier elite members of premium hotels.

Abstract:
The issue of plastic pollution on the planet not only affects the environment but also impacts the three pillars of sustainability, affecting the environment, food production, as well as the health and economy of individuals and communities located geographically close to where the life cycle of these materials occurs, from production to disposal. This text is dedicated to studying the Precious Plastic project as a program capable of combating the social harm caused by the production and disposal of synthetic polymers. To do this, it uses the concept of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and investigates how the organization and distribution of various elements of the project's network can contribute to meeting the motivational needs of Maslow's hierarchy, thus combating situations of social vulnerability.

Abstract:
Healthy aging has risen to the strategic level of the government, and the fitness activities of the elderly has been widely valued by the public sector. Parks are the main places for the elderly to exercise, and the elderly satisfaction with park fitness facilities is regarded as an important topic. Based on Maslow's hierarchy theory of needs and previous research results, this paper conducted interviews with the elderly, and further determined 12 key factors affecting the elderly satisfaction with park fitness facilities. This study uses the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method to conduct an empirical analysis of 12 influencing factors. According to the results of the data analysis, mental relaxation and social entertainment are the two most influential factors among 12 influencing factors. These two factors are located in the upper level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which indicates that the basic needs of the elderly for park fitness facilities have been met, and the basic fitness needs are not the main consideration of the elderly for their satisfaction. Through the analysis of experimental results, three strategies were proposed: (1)Space Design needs to be taken seriously, so that functional space division and soft partitions are necessary; (2)Park fitness facility adopts the concept of service design, which allows the elderly to have a higher level of satisfaction through a process-oriented experience; (3)The body size of the elderly needs to be taken into account in the design phase of the park fitness facilities.

Abstract:
The research problem that this study will address is the limited CRM success of Web-based customer support systems. The first goal of this research will be to develop the Information Systems Hierarchy of Needs Actualization (ISHNA) framework based on Maslow’s general theory of Hierarchy of Needs. The second goal of this research will be to empirically assess and validate the End User Perceived Information System Needs (EUPISN) construct. The third goal of this research will be to empirically assess and validate the relationship between User Information Satisfaction (UIS) and the EUPISN construct. Existent within all mankind are psychological needs that all individuals are driven to meet. UIS has a broad framework of literature available within the Information Systems (IS) realm. The UIS literature has both breadth and depth, in that it has been widely covered and studied since the early days of the IS field. Behaviorist theory and psychological factors are referenced and recognized within UIS and subsequent theory. In fact, UIS also takes into account that psychological factors are integrated into the IS discipline. The implications of the existence of ordered needs that individuals are impelled to meet; either consciously or subconsciously, may be far reaching into the Information Systems domain, and as such, should be studied. This dissertation will establish a framework for the IS needs hierarchy, creating an initial understanding of the relationship between the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs and the IS needs theory; and will further demonstrate relational impacts between the ordered needs. A web-based survey of system users at AmeriCold Logistics will be utilized in this study to empirically assess and validate these relationships.

Abstract:
The Gulf Islands National Seashore (GUIS) vegetation inventory project classified and mapped vegetation on park-owned lands within the administrative boundary and estimated thematic map accuracy quantitatively. The project began in June 2016. National Park Service (NPS) Vegetation Mapping Inventory Program provided technical guidance. The overall process included initial planning and scoping, imagery procurement, field data collection, data analysis, imagery interpretation/classification, accuracy assessment (AA), and report writing and database development. Initial planning and scoping meetings took place during May, 2016 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi where representatives gathered from GUIS, the NPS Gulf Coast Inventory and Monitoring Network, and Colorado State University. Primary imagery used for interpretation was 4-band (RGB and CIR) orthoimages from 2014 and 2016 with resolutions of 15 centimeters (cm) (Florida only) and 30 cm. Supplemental imagery with varying coverage across the study area included National Aerial Imagery Program 50 cm imagery for Mississippi (2016) and Florida (2017), 15 and 30 cm true color Digital Earth Model imagery for Mississippi (2016 and 2017), and current and historical true-color Google Earth and Bing Map imagery. National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration National Geodetic Survey 30 cm true color imagery from 2017 (post Hurricane Nate) supported remapping the Mississippi barrier islands after Hurricane Nate. The preliminary vegetation classification included 59 United States National Vegetation Classification (USNVC) associations. Existing vegetation and mapping data combined with vegetation plot data contributed to the final vegetation classification. Quantitative classification using hierarchical clustering and professional expertise was supported by vegetation data collected from 250 plots in 2016 and 29 plots in 2017 and 2018, as well as other observational data. The final vegetation classification includes 39 USNVC associations and 5 park special types; 18 forest and woodland, 7 shrubland, 17 herbaceous, and 2 sparse vegetation types were identified. The final GUIS map consists of 38 map classes. Land cover classes include four types: non-vegetated barren land / borrow pit, developed open space, developed low – high intensity, and water/ocean. Of the 34 vegetation map classes, 26 represent a single USNVC association/park special, six map classes contain two USNVC associations/park specials, and two map classes contain three USNVC associations/park specials. Forest and woodland associations had an abundance of sand pine (Pinus clausa), slash pine (Pinus elliottii), sand live oak (Quercus geminata), yaupon (Ilex vomitoria), wax myrtle (Morella cerifera), and saw palmetto (Serenoa repens). Shrubland associations supported dominant species such as eastern baccharis (Baccharis halimifolia), yaupon (Ilex vomitoria), wax myrtle (Morella cerifera), saw palmetto (Serenoa repens), and sand live oak (Quercus geminata). Herbaceous associations commonly included camphorweed (Heterotheca subaxillaris), needlegrass rush (Juncus roemerianus), bitter seabeach grass (Panicum amarum var. amarum), gulf bluestem (Schizachyrium maritimum), saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens), and sea oats (Uniola paniculata). The final GUIS vegetation map consists of 1,268 polygons totaling 35,769.0 hectares (ha) or 88,387.2 acres (ac). Mean polygon size excluding water is 3.6 ha (8.9 ac). The most abundant land cover class is open water/ocean which accounts for approximately 31,437.7 ha (77,684.2 ac) or 87.9% of the total mapped area. Natural and ruderal vegetation consists of 4,176.8 ha (10,321.1 ac) or 11.6% of the total area. Within the natural and ruderal vegetation types, herbaceous types are the most extensive with 1945.1 ha (4,806.4 ac) or 46.5%, followed by forest and woodland types with 804.9 ha (1,989.0 ac) or 19.3%, sparse vegetation types with 726.9 ha (1,796.1 ac) or 17.4%, and shrubland types with 699.9 ha (1,729.5 ac) or 16.8%. Developed open space, which can include a matrix of roads, parking lots, park-like areas and campgrounds account for 153.8 ha (380.0 ac) or 0.43% of the total mapped area. Artificially non-vegetated barren land is rare and only accounts for 0.74 ha (1.82 ac) or 0.002% of the total area. We collected 701 AA samples to evaluate the thematic accuracy of the vegetation map. Final thematic accuracy, as a simple proportion of correct versus incorrect field calls, is 93.0%. Overall weighted map class accuracy is 93.6%, where the area of each map class was weighted in proportion to the percentage of total park area. This method provides more weight to larger map classes in the park. Each map class had an individual thematic accuracy goal of at least 80%. The hurricane impact area map class was the only class that fell below this target with an accuracy of 73.5%. The vegetation communities impacted by the hurricane are highly dynamic and regenerated quickly following the disturbance event, contributing to map class disagreement during the accuracy assessment phase. No other map classes fell below the 80% accuracy threshold. In addition to the vegetation polygon database and map, several products to support park resource management are provided including the vegetation classification, field key to the associations, local association descriptions, photographic database, project geodatabase, ArcGIS .mxd files for map posters, and aerial imagery acquired for the project. The project geodatabase links the spatial vegetation data layer to vegetation classification, plot photos, project boundary extent, AA points, and the PLOTS database. The geodatabase includes USNVC hierarchy tables allowing for spatial queries of data associated with a vegetation polygon or sample point. All geospatial products are projected using North American Datum 1983 (NAD83) in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Zone 16 N. The final report includes methods and results, contingency tables showing AA results, field forms, species list, and a guide to imagery interpretation. These products provide useful information to assist with management of park resources and inform future management decisions. Use of standard national vegetation classification and mapping protocols facilitates effective resource stewardship by ensuring the compatibility and widespread use throughout the NPS as well as other federal and state agencies. Products support a wide variety of resource assessments, park management and planning needs. Associated information provides a structure for framing and answering critical scientific questions about vegetation communities and their relationship to environmental processes across the landscape.

Abstract:
The Big Thicket National Preserve (BITH) vegetation inventory project classified and mapped vegetation within the administrative boundary and estimated thematic map accuracy quantitatively. National Park Service (NPS) Vegetation Mapping Inventory Program provided technical guidance. The overall process included initial planning and scoping, imagery procurement, vegetation classification field data collection, data analysis, imagery interpretation/classification, accuracy assessment (AA), and report writing and database development. Initial planning and scoping meetings took place during May, 2016 in Kountze, Texas where representatives gathered from BITH, the NPS Gulf Coast Inventory and Monitoring Network, and Colorado State University. The project acquired new 2014 orthoimagery (30-cm, 4-band (RGB and CIR)) from the Hexagon Imagery Program. Supplemental imagery for the interpretation phase included Texas Natural Resources Information System (TNRIS) 2015 50 cm leaf-off 4-band imagery from the Texas Orthoimagery Program (TOP), Farm Service Agency (FSA) 100-cm (2016) and 60 cm (2018) National Aerial Imagery Program (NAIP) imagery, and current and historical true-color Google Earth and Bing Maps imagery. In addition to aerial and satellite imagery, 2017 Neches River Basin Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data was obtained from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and TNRIS to analyze vegetation structure at BITH. The preliminary vegetation classification included 110 United States National Vegetation Classification (USNVC) associations. Existing vegetation and mapping data combined with vegetation plot data contributed to the final vegetation classification. Quantitative classification using hierarchical clustering and professional expertise was supported by vegetation data collected from 304 plots surveyed between 2016 and 2019 and 110 additional observation plots. The final vegetation classification includes 75 USNVC associations and 27 park special types including 80 forest and woodland, 7 shrubland, 12 herbaceous, and 3 sparse vegetation types. The final BITH map consists of 51 map classes. Land cover classes include five types: pasture / hay ground agricultural vegetation; non ? vegetated / barren land, borrow pit, cut bank; developed, open space; developed, low ? high intensity; and water. The 46 vegetation classes represent 102 associations or park specials. Of these, 75 represent natural vegetation associations within the USNVC, and 27 types represent unpublished park specials. Of the 46 vegetation map classes, 26 represent a single USNVC association/park special, 7 map classes contain two USNVC associations/park specials, 4 map classes contain three USNVC associations/park specials, and 9 map classes contain four or more USNVC associations/park specials. Forest and woodland types had an abundance of Pinus taeda, Liquidambar styraciflua, Ilex opaca, Ilex vomitoria, Quercus nigra, and Vitis rotundifolia. Shrubland types were dominated by Pinus taeda, Ilex vomitoria, Triadica sebifera, Liquidambar styraciflua, and/or Callicarpa americana. Herbaceous types had an abundance of Zizaniopsis miliacea, Juncus effusus, Panicum virgatum, and/or Saccharum giganteum. The final BITH vegetation map consists of 7,271 polygons totaling 45,771.8 ha (113,104.6 ac). Mean polygon size is 6.3 ha (15.6 ac). Of the total area, 43,314.4 ha (107,032.2 ac) or 94.6% represent natural or ruderal vegetation. Developed areas such as roads, parking lots, and campgrounds comprise 421.9 ha (1,042.5 ac) or 0.9% of the total. Open water accounts for approximately 2,034.9 ha (5,028.3 ac) or 4.4% of the total mapped area. Within the natural or ruderal vegetation types, forest and woodland types were the most extensive at 43,022.19 ha (106,310.1 ac) or 94.0%, followed by herbaceous vegetation types at 129.7 ha (320.5 ac) or 0.3%, sparse vegetation types at 119.2 ha (294.5 ac) or 0.3%, and shrubland types at 43.4 ha (107.2 ac) or 0.1%. A total of 784 AA samples were collected to evaluate the map?s thematic accuracy. When each AA sample was evaluated for a variety of potential errors, a number of the disagreements were overturned. It was determined that 182 plot records disagreed due to either an erroneous field call or a change in the vegetation since the imagery date, and 79 disagreed due to a true map classification error. Those records identified as incorrect due to an erroneous field call or changes in vegetation were considered correct for the purpose of the AA. As a simple plot count proportion, the reconciled overall accuracy was 89.9% (705/784). The spatially-weighted overall accuracy was 92.1% with a Kappa statistic of 89.6%. This method provides more weight to larger map classes in the park. Five map classes had accuracies below 80%. After discussing preliminary results with the parl, we retained those map classes because the community was rare, the map classes provided desired detail for management or the accuracy was reasonably close to the 80% target. When the 90% AA confidence intervals were included, an additional eight classes had thematic accruacies that extend below 80%. In addition to the vegetation polygon database and map, several products to support park resource management include the vegetation classification, field key to the associations, local association descriptions, photographic database, project geodatabase, ArcGIS .mxd files for map posters, and aerial imagery acquired for the project. The project geodatabase links the spatial vegetation data layer to vegetation classification, plot photos, project boundary extent, AA points, and PLOTS database sampling data. The geodatabase includes USNVC hierarchy tables allowing for spatial queries of data associated with a vegetation polygon or sample point. All geospatial products are projected using North American Datum 1983 (NAD83) in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Zone 15 N.
