Abstract:
This article explores the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs – Self Actualization also study aims to examine the thoughts brought by Western figures related to Hierarchy of Needs Abraham Maslow in Islamic Perspective which the most idea comes from Al Ghazali’s tought. The hierarchy of needs consisting with five elements, there are: First, physiological needs are the most basic needs in Abraham Maslow's hierarchy. Second, the need for security, Third, social needs occupy Fourth, the need for gratitude Fifth, self-actualization needs are the highest ranked needs in Abraham Maslow's hierarchy. Maslow describes self-actualization by providing emphasis on full-humanness, arising from the development of human biological nature, and in accordance with their birth destiny. The conclusion that we can write here is The Islamic ontological perspective is not incorporated in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. In addition to the alleged ethnocentrism, non-universality and invalidity, the following mindsets distinguish Maslow’s theory from an Islamic point of view: (a) materialistic-based, (b) the absence of spiritual aspect and different interconnectedness between material and spiritual needs, and world-orientation, disregarding the hereafter. But, Islam can elaborate Maqasid al-Syari’ah (the objectives of Islamic law), human needs are grouped into three descending categories of significance: dharuriyyat (essential), hajiyyat (complementary), tahsiniyyat (embellishment). Dharuriyyat is the must-exist necessities that if not fulfilled will result in an imperfect human life as well as threaten the safety of humanity both in this world and the hereafter. This is inherent in the preservation of religion, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth. Hajiyyat is the complementary needs to remove hardships that are contained in the process of satisfying the necessities. Tahsiniyyat refers to things that embellish people’s lives by adding quality to the necessities.

Abstract:
Two scales have been proposed to measure Maslow's hierarchy of needs in college students, one by Lester (1990) and one by Strong and Fiebert (1987). In a sample of 51 college students, scores on the corresponding scales for the five needs did not correlate significantly and positively, except for the measures of physiological needs. Furthermore, there was limited support for Maslow's hypothesis that need deprivation would predict psychopathology (specifically, mania and depression).

Abstract:
Maslow's initial five levelled theory of ‘hierarchy of needs is one of the most popular theories on motivation albeit its many criticisms particularly related to the lack of scientific rigour to narrow cultural perspectives. However, it’s propensity towards the self has called for a review of the theory with Maslow himself finally proposing a sixth level (self-transcendence) at the new apex of the pyramid above ‘self-actualization’ and the other four levels of needs. However, the original five level of needs is still preferred by most researchers globally. Human motivation and needs have long been discussed in ‘Islamic scholarship’ for centuries, but it is rarely represented in ‘Western academic’ discussions of ‘Islamic motivation’. Unfortunately, some studies tend to explore the integration of Islamic theories and Western ideologies by incorporating the Maqasid Sharī‘ah with ‘Maslow’s hierarchy of needs’. Such approach tends to ignore the distinct influence of Islam on behaviour and self-perception as Islam delivers a unique ‘spiritual perspective’ on the relationship between motivators and the self that most ‘Western models’ do not provide. The authors believe that the Maqasid Sharī‘ah is constantly revolving in a dynamic state that changes continuously and should not be portrayed as static in nature. Thus, a framework with the Maqasid Sharī‘ah as overarching contextual factor that constantly influences Maslow's five levels of needs is proposed accordingly.

Abstract:
Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which also discusses self-actualization, has been widely studied to increase meaning in various areas of life. However, there are many criticisms of the hierarchy theory, which automatically criticizes the concept of self-actualization. This criticism is increasingly visible when viewed with the Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah approach, which in its conception is highly concerned with the preservation of religion. Therefore, this article discussed the results of the critical study of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs based on the Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah perspective. Based on library research with a critical analysis approach, it could be concluded that: first, Maslow's critical analysis of the hierarchy could be divided into two, namely criticism of hierarchy theory and the concept of self-actualization. Second, criticisms of Maslow's hierarchy theory included: the absence of religious elements in his theory and its irrelevance to the realities of people's lives. Third, criticism of Maslow's self-actualization included the absence of a clear definition of self-actualization. Furthermore, in practice, it led to an individual-materialistic attitude. Fourth, all these criticisms led to the Western humanist perspective, especially Abraham Maslow, who views humans as only mind, soul, and heart without any spirit or religion, which is the essence of Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah.

Abstract:
Short stories are literary essays embodying intrinsic and extrinsic elements. The short story "Love and Lies" delves into psychological manifestations indicative of mental illness or disorders in female characters. This research employs Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of human needs theory, as it stratifies the psychological life of human beings into hierarchical needs. Utilizing quantitative descriptive methods, researchers examine the short stories of "Love and Lies" by Husnul Khotimah as the primary data source. Analysis involves an intensive exploration of literary works, identifying and correlating data with Maslow's theory. The novel is scrutinized through the lens of Maslow's hierarchy, encompassing physiological, safety, belongingness and love, esteem, and self-actualization needs. The findings affirm that all five levels are met, concluding that characters in "Love and Lies" fulfill the psychological hierarchy proposed by Maslow.

Abstract:
This study identifies all observable action verbs in the Senior High School core mathematics curriculum and links them to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. All the 217 identified action verbs were further grouped in a matrix form in the order of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs against the major headings as stated above in the syllabus. The study collated the frequencies and percentages of the action verbs in a matrix form using Microsoft Office Excel 2019. The study revealed that each of the verbs represents the key profile component of each objective. The study revealed that teachers should evaluate students appropriately in their knowledge and understanding, invention and creativity, analysis, and application, as these represent the growing needs in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It also revealed how the curriculum designers intended for students to fulfill the majority of their needs in the teaching and learning column of Maslow's hierarchy matrix through these activities. To accomplish the predetermined goal, the study advises teachers to employ these action verbs as they arise in the curriculum's objective for the subject being studied. Future studies should look into whether the mathematics curriculum's application of 21st-century skills aligns with the needs hierarchy's stages.

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze Abraham Maslow's humanism learning theory and how it is implemented in overcoming learning disabilities in Islamic religious education. This study used a qualitative research method with a library research approach. Data sources include books, journal articles, theses, and other information related to implementing Abraham Maslow's humanism learning theory in overcoming learning difficulties in Islamic religious education learning. The results showed that Maslow's theory of humanism offers a hierarchy of needs, which has five kinds of higher-level human needs, assuming that higher needs will be fulfilled if lower needs are met. According to Abraham Maslow, five kinds of the hierarchy of needs are physiological needs, safety needs, affection needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. In overcoming learning difficulties in learning Islamic religious education, the implementation of the theory of the hierarchy of needs can be explained as follows; 1) Fulfillment of physiological needs is to ensure that the basic needs of students are met, 2) fulfillment of the need for security is not to show threatening behavior, criticize, or even judge students for their mistakes without knowing the cause, 3) fulfillment of the need for affection by showing empathy, caring, patience, fairness, and openness towards students, 4) fulfilling the need for self-esteem by giving freedom to students to express opinions and respecting students' own choices, 5) fulfilling the need for self-actualization by supporting and facilitating students in developing their potential by giving freedom to students to hone their potential abilities. Abstract:
A top manager is significant in a company because leaders are the only people responsible for guiding, leading, guiding, motivating, and providing adequate supervision or supervision to their employees. Maslow argues that a person will be encouraged to work if his demands are filled in the hierarchy of needs theory. With this motivation, employees will work more decisive for optimal results. Maslow's theory of inspiration should be considered a general direction for managers. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, namely research that produces analytical procedures that do not use statistical analysis. This qualitative study aims to analyze the top manager's leadership role to increase employee work motivation from Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. According to the findings of this study, top managers' leadership role in increasing employee work motivation is very realistic, namely by providing inspiration, encouragement, and direction to subordinates and broad responsibilities and opportunities for them to make decisions or wisdom in completing their work. The leadership role of top managers to increase employee work motivation in the perspective of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory is by fulfilling several requirements, including physiological needs, safety and security needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs

If you Google "Maslow" or his "hierarchy of wants," you'll likely see a colourful pyramid as the result. But given that this particular thinker passed away fifty years ago, what does it signify and can it really still be applicable? The present demands and the benefits of the system have altered significantly in the more than 70 years since the renowned psychologist launched his theory. Even after all this time, it's still important to think about whether Maslow's hierarchy of needs is still true. If you don't already know, in a nutshell, Maslow thought that people's needs can be neatly grouped into five categories. Each category comes into play once the needs in the previous category have been met. Greg Stocker, a Lean Advisor, says that Maslow never really talked about the hierarchy in terms of a pyramid. Instead, the diagram was made much later to make the theory clear. The goal of the study is to see how well Maslow's hierarchy of needs still works in the 21st century. For the study to come to a conclusion, it used both descriptive and analytical methods. The study also relied heavily on thematic analysis tools and both primary and secondary data sources to achieve its goals in a qualitative way.

Abstract:
Social behavior of customers receives a sideline in social media, and the focus appears to be persistent on lead, conversions, and engagement. The psychology of customers is a significant element in the study of social media adoption. Maslow's theory on the hierarchy of needs describes the urge for strong desires after the individual's lower level is satisfied. The study attempts to examine and map the linkages of the Maslow Hierarchy with Social Media Adoption. The study is quantitative and descriptive. The responses from the sample size of 287 were collected using structured a questionnaire. EFA was performed to identify and map the items relating to each level of the hierarchy. CFA was conducted to find the goodness of fit. The findings suggest that the theory of Maslow's fits well with the proposed social media adoption model. The results revealed that social media adoption follows Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. The study may be carried out for scale development for evaluating intentions and reasons for social media usage. The companies can make use of the suggested model in the study for launching their various marketing campaigns.

The aim of the study is to explore the protagonist's effort in fulfilling her love and belonging needs as viewed from Abraham Maslow's theory. There are four different levels of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs discussed: security and safety needs, social needs, and esteem needs. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is often displayed as a pyramid. The lowest levels of the pyramid of needs are made up of the most basic needs, while the most complex needs are at the top. Once lower-level needs have been met, people can move on to the next level of needs. The researchers identify the characteristics of Reysa as the protagonist in Seribu Musim Merinduimu and analyze her fulfillment of love and belonging needs. This novel was chosen because nowadays people think that love is the right of everyone, regardless of their marital status. The researchers use qualitative descriptive analysis to reveal the findings, as the focus of the research revolves around people and their surroundings. The data were collected from the novel and other relevant sources. From the analysis of the novel, the researchers find the four hierarchy of needs. In the context of the hierarchy of needs, she faces obstacles in fulfilling her love and belonging needs because she loves a married man. Abstract:
This paper critically analyzed Abraham Maslow's well-known hierarchy of needs theory (1943), identified its shortcomings, and examined previous studies in the literature on qualitative research methods. Moreover, it discussed the suitability of the theory to human needs and its scientific nature, considering the qualifications, dynamics, variability, and nature of human needs. Maslow proposed a rigid hierarchical framework, categorizing human needs from physiological to self-actualization. Over time, the theory faced criticism for disregarding scientific principles and overlooking the objective and subjective aspects of human needs. Instead of rigorous scientific research, the theory heavily relied on Maslow's personal observations and clinical experiences. This paper posits that Maslow overlooked socio-cultural influences that shape motivation and emphasizes how social and economic contexts prioritize needs. Moreover, the lack of empirical evidence is identified as a weakness compromising the theory's validity. The article also, proposes an updated framework considering the objectivity and subjectivity of human needs, scientific research principles, technological connections, sustainability, socio-cultural influences, arbitrary human behavior and needs, personal preferences, and emotional factors. It advocates for acknowledging that needs circulate dynamically through interpersonal networks rather than being staged rigidly, thereby supporting theoretical evolution. Additionally, the paper identifies and offers potential solutions to eight fundamental issues associated with the theory. In this study, a literature review was conducted, and Maslow's hierarchy of needs was analyzed and its deficiencies were identified and eliminated. Igor Kospov's model was examined and explained to eliminate its flaws. Finally, instead of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the article proposes a model or set of clustered needs that are compatible with human needs and scientific, dynamic, interactive, prioritized by humans, and influenced and influenced by culture, technological developments and the human environment. The model, or clustered set of needs, consists of several clusters. These clusters are interconnected and influence each other. In other words, the same person can take steps towards self-actualization and experience the indispensable feature of social belonging while he satisfies the physiological needs of drinking water and eating, because human needs can vary from person to person, from place to place, from time to time and from situation to situation, even within the same person.

Abstract:
This research aims to find similarities and differences as well as the relevance of the theory of human needs according to Ash-Syāṭibī and Abraham Maslow. This research uses qualitative methods with the type of literature study. The theory used is benefit theory with a comparative approach. The data used is secondary data in the form of books written directly by ash-Syāṭibī and Abraham Maslow. This research foundthat ash-Syāṭibī's theory with a time span of emergence that is far from Maslow's theory still has significant relevance to Maslow's theory of needs. Ash-Syāṭibī's theory has the advantage of being inclusive in accepting changes in human needs in the future as a result of advances in science and technology. On the other hand, Maslow's theory is limited and closed, so that if one day a new need arises, apart from the five hierarchies of needs that have been expressed, then the new need needs to be created in a new hierarchy because it is not suitable to be included in one of the existing hierarchies, because the existing hierarchy is closed and limited. However, ash-Syāṭibī's theory regarding human needs is still implicit, not explicit like Abraham Maslow's theory. This is the weak point of Ash-Syāṭibī's theory when compared to Abraham Maslow's theory, besides that Ash-Syāṭibī has not revealed the needs of modern humans such as the need for esteem and the need for self-actualization into the hierarchy of maqāṣid al-Syarīah that he compiled Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan persamaan dan perbedaan serta relevansi teori kebutuhan manusia menurut asy-Syāṭibī dan Abraham Maslow.

Abstract:Abraham Maslow developed a theory of the hierarchy of human needs which includes five levels, starting from physiological needs to self-actualization needs. This research examines the Islamization of Abraham Maslow's theory of needs with a focus on integrating Islamic values into the concept of human needs. However, this theory has been criticized because it is considered too materialistic and does not pay enough attention to the spiritual dimension of humans, in accordance with Islamic teachings. This research uses a conceptual approach to combine the concept of Maqashid Syariah in Islam with Maslow's hierarchy of needs. In this research, Maqashid Syariah is used as a framework for integrating Islamic values in the hierarchy of human needs. The result of this research is a reconstruction of the hierarchy of human needs which places human beings, namely humans who achieve perfection in various aspects in accordance with the guidance of the Islamic religion, as the highest need. Thus, the orientation of humans' final goals changes to become oriented towards the welfare of this world and the hereafter, with Allah as the center of all these efforts. Thus, this research contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of human needs in the Islamic context.

Abstract:
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory holds that the five needs “physiological,” “safety,” “belonging and love,” “esteem,” and “self-actualization”, constitutes a series of hierarchical needs of human beings. More and more companies apply this theory to employee motivation management to improve employee enthusiasm, creativity and work efficiency. However, this theory has obvious limitations in practical application. Enterprises tend to ignore the phenomenon of the coexistence of the five needs levels, and cannot effectively deal with the problem of lack of new employee incentives caused by the coexistence of five needs levels. Therefore, based on enterprise cases, this study explores the rationality and limitation of "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs” Theory from the perspective of theoretical integration and contingency theory. The research conclusions are helpful to optimize "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs” Theory in its development, expand its application scope, and has certain reference significance for the incentive management of contemporary enterprises.

Abstract:
Background Advanced cardiac diseases causes a person to face issues concerning the meaning of life, death and an uncertain future. It can be challenging to improve the quality of life of those who are living with a terminal illness. For patients with a compromised cardiovascular health state, implementing a palliative care framework could play a key role in alleviating suffering and grief. This article aims to apply a modified version of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs to provide effective palliative care to patients with cardiac conditions. Methods A narrative review was conducted using PubMed, ScienceDirect and Google scholar search engines to extract relevant literature and evidence-based practices. Results Maslow's hierarchy of needs can also be adapted to palliative care of patients with terminal cardiac illnesses. Priority should be given to low hierarchical stages, leading to the highest physical symptoms management, personal and social security, acceptance and love during illness, restoration of self-esteem, and self-actualisation and transcendence. Conclusions Advanced cardiac diseases have long-term effects on a patient's life. The challenge is to provide holistic care to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of vulnerable patients through the use of appropriate palliative care plans. A modified version of Maslow's hierarchy of needs in palliative care for cardiovascular diseases could be effectively applied for the assessment of patients' requirements and the planning of interventions to achieve aims that initiate wellbeing and potentially cover the experience of transcendence.

Abstract:
This journal aims to analyze the process of self-actualization of the main character in the 1990 novel Dilan by Pidi Baiq based on Abraham Maslow's humanistic theory. This theory is used because according to Maslow the psychological life of human beings has stratified needs. This study used quantitative descriptive method. The source of data in this study is the 1990 novel Dilan by Pidi Baiq. Data collection is carried out by analyzing and analyzing literary works that are the main source of research, identifying data and linking with Abraham Maslow's theory. Abraham Maslow's humanistic needs are physiological needs, security needs, love and existence needs, self-esteem needs and self-actualization needs. Self-actualization is the highest human need, where the individual reaches his maximum potential and becomes his true self. In Dilan's novel, Milea's character experiences significant changes and growth through her love story. He is able to meet physiological needs, security, love and belonging, appreciation, and self-actualization, including privacy, separation from the environment, and social interests. This shows that Milea has reached the highest level in the hierarchy of human needs according to Maslow.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to evaluate and understand the interplay between job satisfaction and employee motivation among contract labor in the pharmaceutical industry. This research evaluates the association between job satisfaction and motivation based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory w.r.t. contract labor in pharmaceutical industry. This study explores the motivating factors and expectations of contract labor working in the pharmaceutical sector. The study includes surveying 384 contract workers in the pharmaceutical industry. The poll included an updated rendition of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs theory, as well as work satisfaction scores. The basic data were acquired via convenience sampling. The model's credibility and consistency were assessed using Confirmation Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structured Equation Modelling (SEM). The model passed both the convergent and discriminant validity tests. The model was also determined to be statistically fit and verified with the necessary fit indices. It was discovered that understanding contract labor expectations for working in a pharmaceutical company (physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness needs, esteem needs, and self- actualization needs) is critical for job satisfaction. The study was done in Visakhapatnam city with just 384 contract workers as respondents. The model was built with five constructs (five types of requirements), one construct (job satisfaction), and three attributes (Variables) in each need (construct), however there might be more than three attributes in each type of needs. This study used statistical analysis to validate and assess Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs concept in relation to work satisfaction. The approach was applied to contract labor in the pharmaceutical business, but it may also be used in other industry verticals and sectors. The study extended the literature related to motivation studies and job satisfaction, delivered a model by applying Maslow’s’ need hierarchy theory. The model is useful for the HR practitioners to enhance job satisfaction levels of contract labor.

Abstract:
Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory provides an important framework for understanding human motivation and learning, especially in the context of special education for children with special needs. The main issue faced by these children is the difficulty in fulfilling basic needs, such as physiological and safety needs, which often hinders them from reaching their full potential in a learning environment. The purpose of this article is to explore how Maslow's theory can be applied to more effectively support the learning and development of children with special needs. The methodology used is a literature review that evaluates previous articles on the application of Maslow's theory in special education. The study findings indicate that by meeting basic needs such as nutrition, safety, and emotional support, children with special needs show improvements in motivation, focus, and academic achievement. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a holistic approach in special education, where children's emotional and physical needs are given the same attention as academic needs. This suggests that educational strategies based on Maslow's theory can enhance the well-being and learning effectiveness of children with special needs.

Broad categories have been suggested for the events which contribute to happiness. In 1943 Maslow might have argued that people are happy when they meet or continue to meet their basic needs in his hierarchy of needs. A survey was given to 150 college students to assess which of Maslow's levels of need is perceived to be most important to happiness. Falling or staying in love was chosen significantly more often than the other choices by undergraduates of both genders. These results suggest that love is considered to be an extremely important contributor to the feeling of happiness among college students.

Abstract:
This study aims to explore how myths in the Chinese New Year celebration traditions reflect or represent the levels of needs in Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. Indonesia, as a country with diverse ethnicities and cultures, has a Chinese ethnic community that celebrates Chinese New Year as an important tradition. This celebration not only functions as a cultural ritual but also fulfills basic human needs. Based on a literature review method, this study analyzes various myths and traditions of Chinese New Year and relates them to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, including physiological needs, safety, love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization. The results show that the Chinese New Year tradition plays a significant role in fulfilling these needs. Rituals such as family dinners, house cleaning, and giving red envelopes not only meet basic needs but also create a sense of security, love, and esteem within the Chinese ethnic community. Furthermore, this study applies Hofstede's cultural dimensions to deepen the understanding of how the Chinese New Year tradition supports the structure and cultural values of the Chinese, as well as its contribution to psychological and social well-being. Literary works are a reflection of the nature of society in real life that the author modifies through imaginative power. Writers often raise humanistic issues in literary works. Maslow's humanism illustrates that every individual needs aspects of physical and psychological needs. The novel Dear Allah tells the problem of phenomena that often occur in households, families, friendships, and friendships. This study aims to explore Maslow's hierarchical needs of the main and supporting characters in the Dear Allah novel series. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data source in this study is the Dear Allah novel series in the romance genre published in 2018 and 2022. Data collection techniques were carried out by reading the Dear Allah novel series, creating an analysis table, determining Maslow's hierarchy of needs, grouping data based on analysis criteria, and entering into the analysis table. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results and discussion, it shows that the characters Naira, Wildan, and Silla succeeded in fulfilling Maslow's hierarchy of needs from the physiological level to self-actualization, such as financial stability, love, and self-acceptance. In contrast, Zulfa fails to achieve her need for security due to emotional and physical conflicts, while Genta achieves self-actualization through the acceptance of unrequited love. The whole story reflects the characters' psychological journey in fulfilling their basic to highest needs according to Maslow's theory. Abstract:
Self-actualization is the peak experience in Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. Maslow's hierarchy of needs consists of physiological needs, the need for a sense of security (safety needs), the need to have affection (social needs), esteem needs, and self-actualization. The purpose of this study is to describe how Maslow's holistic-dynamic theory describes self-actualization and the Sufistic view of the concept of self-actualization. This study employs a qualitative research method in conjunction with a type of literature review. The data collection technique used is documentation. The results of the study show that Sufistic psychology views self-actualization as a peak experience that is not absolute because humans are not just physical, mechanical beings. Ibn 'Arabi views that humans will reach a peak experience when they have abandoned themselves to unite with God (fana'); then humans must experience four levels: Shari'a, Tariqah, essence, and makrifat. In addition, al-Ghazali also emphasized the fulfillment of mashlahah al-'amm as his peak experience.

This research method is defined as a qualitative method. The author limits the data by classifying into five groups of different levels of needs based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. In this study, it can be concluded that the main character has levels of needs ranging from the most basic to the most important needs. For example, on Maribel, the author found that of Maslow's 5 levels of needs, there are 5 needs so that it can be said that all of her needs have been met and the most important are the needs for love and belonging, and self-actualization. As for Abuela, the author finds that out of these 5 levels of needs, there is only 1 level of need that must be met by her, namely the needs for self-actualization.Keyword: Hierarchy of needs, Family Relation, Humanistic psychology

Abstract:
Needs are an abstract concept that exists in human life and serves as the fundamental motivation for many decisions. These needs include emotional, psychological, abstract, and concrete choices that influence human behavior. This study aims to examine the moderating role of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, specifically focusing on the impact of safety needs on consumer behavior. The research explores the relationship between consumer attitudes toward eco-conscious dining venues and their purchase intentions. A questionnaire-based approach was employed to collect data from green restaurant consumers in Türkiye. The target population consists of individuals who frequently dine in environmentally friendly restaurants. Structural equation modeling analysis was conducted on data collected from 450 participants. The analysis was performed using the Smart PLS 4 program to test the proposed relationships. Results indicate that the independent variable, Attitude Toward Green Restaurants, has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, Consumption Intention. The study further investigates Maslow's theory of human motivation and its role in consumer decision-making. Among the various dimensions of Maslow’s hierarchy, only the need for safety/security demonstrated a moderating effect. This finding suggests that safety concerns play an intervening role in consumer decisions related to green dining. Consumers are more likely to dine at eco-conscious restaurants when they feel secure. The results emphasize the importance of safety considerations in shaping purchase behavior. Businesses should address these concerns to enhance customer trust and engagement. Understanding these factors can help marketers develop better strategies for promoting sustainable dining. By acknowledging the moderating role of safety needs, businesses can improve customer retention. The study contributes to the existing literature on sustainable consumption and consumer psychology. It also highlights the significance of integrating psychological needs into marketing strategies. Future research could explore other dimensions of Maslow's hierarchy in similar contexts. The findings offer valuable insights for restaurant managers and policymakers. Addressing safety concerns could lead to higher consumer engagement and loyalty.

Abstract:
The philosophy of humanism in Abraham Maslow's thinking and the hierarchy of individual needs provides an educational concept that highly values human development. This is very much in line with Differentiated Learning. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the concept of differentiated learning and review it from the perspective of the philosophy of humanism education. This research used the literature study method to collect literature on differentiated learning and Abraham Maslow's humanism philosophy. Furthermore, the collected references will be synthesized to provide information logically, meaningfully, and analyzed descriptively and argumentatively. The study results showed that the philosophy of humanism from Abraham Maslow's thinking is very relevant to be implemented in differentiated learning. Student needs largely determine the fulfilment of needs in differentiated learning. Student needs can be met by providing differentiation of content, processes, products, and a comfortable learning environment. Therefore, differentiated learning can realize a learning process that humanizes students by applying the hierarchy of needs.

Abstract:
A high attrition rate exists among South African higher education institutions, which poses a significant challenge to university productivity as an academic enterprise. The attrition/turnover seems disruptive and costly, and some of the disruptive implications are poor productivity, lack of motivation and poor morale to work, including skill drain. This theoretical paper presents Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and its assumptions as a possible motivation that is needed to enhance academic staff retention in the university system. This study was designed using conceptual analysis within the principle interpretive paradigm, enabling the researcher to adequately engage critically in interpreting Maslow's hierarchy of needs and its assumptions as an alternative strategy that could enhance academic staff retention in the university system. The study argued that the five hierarchies of needs (physiological needs, safety/security needs, love and belongingness, esteem needs, and self-actualisation needs), as propounded by Abraham Maslow, are essential in ensuring academic staff retention in the system. The study concludes that total rewards in the form of basic needs, environmental safety and job security, creation of affectionate work-environment, the need for recognition and self-actualisation are the dimensions of academic staff retention in the university system.

Abstract:
This study examines the application of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to public policy formulation and implementation in African nations, with a focus on Rwanda, South Africa, and Kenya. It analyzes how these countries have aligned their policies with different levels of Maslow's hierarchy, from addressing basic physiological needs to fostering self-actualization and societal progress. The research explores Rwanda's comprehensive post-genocide policy framework, South Africa's efforts to address apartheid legacies, and Kenya's struggle to balance economic growth with basic needs fulfillment. Through these case studies, the study demonstrates the value of applying Maslow's theory to guide policymakers in prioritizing and addressing diverse societal needs while pursuing broader development goals. The analysis reveals both successes and persistent challenges in areas such as social cohesion, economic inequality, and rapid urbanization. The study concludes by offering recommendations for a more holistic, context-specific, and sustainable approach to need-based policy formulation in African countries, emphasizing the importance of inclusive governance, long-term vision, and regional cooperation.

Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the personality of the main character Hadi in the novel Al-Jahid by Al-Hasan Al-Bukhari using Abraham Maslow's theory. The novel Al-Jahid was chosen as the object of study because it depicts the journey of human life which is full of challenges, conflicts and struggles to meet life's needs. This is in accordance with Abraham Maslow's theory which discusses the hierarchy of human needs, starting from physiological needs to self-actualization. This research uses a descriptive method of content analysis, with data collection through library study techniques. The results of the analysis show that Hadi fulfills various levels of needs in Maslow's hierarchy, starting from basic needs such as security, to social needs in the form of affection and acceptance. At a higher level, Hadi's character stands out in the aspects of self-esteem and self-actualization, which are reflected in his intelligence, wisdom and responsibility towards life. This research provides insight into how Maslow's hierarchy of needs structure can be applied to understanding characters in literary works.
