Curiosity is an important and important quality of human nature, on the basis of which spiritual and material development of human has been possible, whatever difference or development or change we have been feeling in the journey from the beginning to modernity and perhaps will continue . Curious nature has a special place behind them all. This applies to all regions of the world as well as language. If we look at the attention of Hindi literature, then we see many changes in the history of its nearly 2000 years. Language continued to act as a medium of mass communication and continues to the day. But due to technical education, along with language, many such technical tools have been added, due to which the language seems to be paralyzed today. The change of time between 1980 and 2000 shook the smallest world. The effect of which was also certain on India. This effect has also taken the language in its grip. Today, without these tools and tools, language is inanimate. Its development, its spread seems to be stagnant. Today language technicians are using equipment and equipment is taking help of language. The information from these two mails reaches from one corner of the world to the other in a blink of an eye. The era of globalization has complemented these two. जिज्ञासा‘ मानवीय प्रवृति का एक अहम व महत्त्वपूर्ण गुण है, जिसके आधार तहत मानव का आध्यात्मिक व भौतिक विकास संभव हो पाया हैा आदि से आधुनिकता तक के सफर में हम जितना भी फर्क अथवा विकास या बदलाव महसूस करते आ रहे है और कदाचित् करते भी रहेंगे। उन सब के पीछे जिज्ञासु प्रवृति का विशेष स्थान रहा है। यह बात संसार के सभी क्षेत्रों के साथ-साथ भाषा पर भी लागू होती है। हिन्दी साहित्य के ध्यानहित यदि हम इस पर दृष्टिपात करें तो इसके लगभग 2000 वर्षों के इतिहास में हमें अनेक बदलाव नजर आते हैं। जन संचार के रूप में भाषा एक माध्यम का कार्य करती आ रही थी और बदस्तूर आज भी जारी है। किन्तु तकनीकि शिक्षा के कारण भाषा के साथ-साथ अनेक ऐसे तकनीकि उपकरण जुड गये हैं, जिनके अभाव में भाषा आज पंगु नजर आती है। 1980 से 2000 के बीच के समय के बदलाव ने तो स्मस्त संसार को हिला के रख दिया थ। जिसका असर भारत पर भी निश्चित था। इस असर ने भाषा को भी अपनी जकड़ में ले लिया है। आज इन उपकरणों व साधनों बिना भाषा निर्जीव है।उसका विकास, उसका फैलाव कदाचित् रुका हुआ सा लगता है। आज भाषा तकनीकि उपकरर्णों का इस्तेमाल कर रही हैं तथा उपकरण भाषा की मदद ले रहे हैं। इन दोनों के मेल से सूचनाएँ पलक झपकते ही दुनिया के एक कोने से दूसरे कोने मे पहुँच जाती हैं। वैश्वीकरण के दौर ने इन दोनों को पूरक बना दिया है।

This dissertation argues that the mass media have played a critical but misunderstood role in the variety of national political responses to economic globalization around the world since the 1960s. More specifically, quantitative as well as qualitative methods across three article-length studies demonstrate how mass media have played a variety of anti-democratic roles in the domestic politics of economic globalization since the 1960s, in ways which have gone largely unnoticed by political scientists. The first article, "Mass Media and the Domestic Politics of Economic Globalization," argues that the mass media make welfare spending less responsive to domestic groups harmed by economic globalization. Statistical tests on state-level economic data as well as individual-level survey data are found to be consistent with this theory. The second article, "Media Ownership and the Social Construction of Economic Globalization," argues that the response of mass publics toward the global economic exposure of their country varies according to the degree of foreign ownership in the national media market. Statistical analysis of state-level media ownership data and aggregate public opinion data, combined with qualitative analyses of newspaper con- tent, provides mixed evidence for the theory. The third article, "Why are the Most Trade-Open Countries More Likely to Repress the Media?" argues that different components of economic globalization exert contradictory pressures on state-media relations. Statistical analysis of economic data and media freedom data combined with process-tracing in Argentina and Mexico pro- vide evidence for the theory.

This dissertation concerns the reproduction and negotiation of Japanese national identity at the intersection between sports, media, and globalization. The research includes the analysis of newspaper coverage of the most significant sporting events in recent Japanese history, including the 2014 Koshien National High School Baseball Championships, the awarding of the People’s Honor Award, the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, wrestler Hakuho’s record breaking victories in the sumo ring, and the bidding process for the 2020 Olympic Games. 2054 Japanese language articles were examined by thematic analysis in order to identify the extent to which established themes of “Japaneseness” were reproduced or renegotiated in the coverage. The research contributes to a broader understanding of national identity negotiation by illustrating the manner in which established symbolic boundaries are reproduced in service of the nation, particularly via mass media. Furthermore, the manner in which change is negotiated through processes of assimilation and rejection was considered through the lens of hybridity theory.

Independence and liberty of cyberspace enabled inception of new kind mass media. Internet based news organization no longer needed to obey national laws and acknowledge states' superiority in international political communication. News organizations, like Google, Facebook, Twitter, Wikileaks, etc., have emerged as mighty actors in the international communicative activities. They are being driven by self-interests, which not necessary conform sovereign states' interests. The development of new kind mass media are not being determined by national laws or other offline rules. This study determined the role of self-ruling mass media in the international political communication. Also, this work showed that emergence of new kind mass media have caused substantial decline of sovereign states' power in international political communication.

Jos vystosi ne pagal valstybių sukurtas taisyklės, tačiau pagal savas. Jos yra pirmos viršvalstybinės naujienų agentūros. Šis tyrimas atskleidė savivaldžių žiniasklaidos organizacijų vaidmenį ir galią tarptautinėje politinėje komunikacijoje. Taip pat tyrimas parodė, kad naujo tipo žiniasklaidos iškilimas lėmė valstybių galios tarptautinėje politinėje komunikacijoje mažėjimą.

Abstract:
This study examined the role mass media play in animating the relationship between globalization and the nation-state. This study interrogated this relationship using a multi-method approach that analyzed news coverage, the general "media climate" in Oklahoma, and audience responses to the media climate regarding the Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, a comprehensive immigration reform bill passed into law in 2007. The key goals of this study were to examine the ways in which news media in Oklahoma cover the issue of immigration, particularly as it relates to the Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, in order to garner a deeper understanding of the ways in which the mass media participate in global processes while cementing the national imagined community. Moreover, by examining audience interpretations of news coverage from mainstream and diasporic news outlets regarding this legislation, this study provided insight into the ways messages about the immigrant family and its contingent gender roles circulate and incorporate into day-to-day culture and how, in turn, these cultural meanings are put into the service of the nation-state. This study used a multi-method approach comprising of a textual analysis of the bill itself and news coverage of the two largest English-language newspapers in the state. I also analyzed the text of a Spanish-language paper based in Tulsa and conducted in-depth, semi-structured interviews with various state legislators, journalists, community members, and staff members at and clients of the Latino Community Development Agency in Oklahoma City. In my analysis of the text of the Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, or, as it is commonly referred to, HB 1804, I argue that the bill established the ideological parameters of the immigration reform debate in the state. The text of the bill also reifies the nation-state, produces a subaltern immigrant community without recourse to the legal system, and provides a template of the ideal U.S. citizen through its representation of the deviant immigrant. My textual analysis of the two largest English-language newspapers in Oklahoma posits that these news discourses criminalize the immigrant, and gender, racialize, and class the immigrant worker, family unit, and its contingent members. As a result, the news coverage can be seen to highlight the ways in which 1804 is an attempt at resistance to global intrusions in Oklahoma and to offer assurance to the citizen community that cultural turmoil will be calmed. The figures of the bill's main author and the Catholic Church also symbolize the tension between the nation-state and the global in these news discourses. Finally, I argue that the Spanish-language media and the LCDA serve to unify the Latino community in Oklahoma in the context of immigration reform discourses, regardless of legal status, providing cultural sustenance and support when 1804 would deny this to the immigrant community.

In a contemporary society in which individuals declare themselves increasingly busy, it appears that the prominent modality of relaxation and sometimes getting informed is the Internet. The modern age is defined by consumerism, advanced technology, globalization and explosive development of Mass Media. Adolescents and young adults have various information alternatives at their disposal, but also a high level of expectations from their social and professional environment. Therefore, feelings of doubt, anxiety and uncertainty may emerge, and different inferiority complexes can develop, making one reach an impossibility of developing one's identity, in a form of compensatory mechanisms that appear at the attitudinal and behavioral level. The present article aims to present the results of studies performed by our team on different groups of subjects aged from 15 to 24 years, as a starting point for informing the population about the medical risks they are exposed to, to prevent the effects of these behaviours that affect the overall functioning of the individual.

The influence of cultural globalization on language of literature is most intensive in literature for children, which has characteristics of digital natives’ language. This paper deals with the language of the novel Leto kad sam naučila da letim by Jasminka Petrović. The main goal of the research is to examine linguistic and stylistic features in which the influence of English as a global language, digitalization and mass media is reflected. The problem of linguistic diversity has not been given enough attention in previous analysis dedicated to the analyzed novel. The aim of the paper is to single out linguistic and stylistic characteristics of the novel Leto kad sam naučila da letim, which are a consequence of cultural globalization. Along with global cultural homogenization, there is a strengthening of national consciousness and the rise of national cultures. The paper deals with how the process of localization of the global, i.e. glocalization, is manifested in the speech of the characters of the analyzed novel

In today’s modern societies human horizons have expanded significantly due to improving transportation opportunities, education, and the media. Therefore, we now have direct and indirect knowledge even about other continents and far-away regions. At the same time, however, due to the changing lifestyles resulting from the wide-ranging use of technological devices, the majority of people have moved further away from nature and the surrounding geographical landscape. Daily life is connected to residential areas, most people have little knowledge of the outskirts of settlements, and on our cognitive maps the border is mostly incomplete and full of white spots; in relation to this, the onomastic corpus we are aware of has a different composition in terms of the proportion of various toponyms compared to one or two hundred years ago. In my paper, I discuss how changes in lifestyle and globalization affected the organization of the cognitive map and as a part of it, people’s knowledge of place names.

This study aims to develop an accurate description of the transformation of built form, in particular street and block patterns, of the small and medium-sized historical towns, and how this is associated with the change of spatial distribution of urban activities. A total number of 36 towns in Zhejiang province, China are selected as case studies. Transformation of the urban fabric is examined based on cartographical maps of different historical periods using combined methods of urban network analysis and field survey. A large amount of user-generated geo-referenced open data, such as social media reviews, point-of-interest mapping, microblogs and night time illumination maps, are harnessed to produce a detailed description of urban activity patterns, of which the relationships to the transformation of urban form are investigated using multi-variate regression models. The results show how basic built form parameters such as spatial integration, between-ness centrality, block size and block depth can effectively and accurately describe the transformation of the small and medium-sized historical towns and how the formal changes are linked to the geographical shift of different urban activities. Abstract:
The article aims to analyze a complicated process of the society’s main components – elite, mass communication, and masses – in their interaction and interdependence from the historical perspective. Due to industrialization and modernization of the life quality, the social life changes radically, and the essence of every component of the society changes as well. The elite loses its dynastic character. The media stop to play the role of a mediator taking on the obligations of a collective agitator and propagandist, and the mass stops to be cloth for wiping shoes. It starts to form a mass audience and, by that, obtains new forms that must be taken into account by social institutions. Together with that the collective views are substituted by the views which are stronger than the ones of a separate individual. One of the main conclusions of the investigation is as follows. The formation of the “consumer society” and the strengthening of the mass communication role resulted in the appearance of “mediocracy” which factually introduced an absolute elite dependence on it and conferred the right of media to set the social agenda. The mass turned out to be a silent majority, a unity of conformity-oriented people. These people become simultaneously a product of mass communication impact because they dictate what one must read, listen to, and watch from the media menu. They force MMC to satisfy their unassuming needs making the content trivial and commodificated. In other words, the mutual process of the interaction of the media, “impossible independence” and the conscious “communicative consensus” of individuals who are willingly united with the mass audience takes place. The creation of the internet due to “digital anonymity” and the autonomy of the consumer formed the conditions for the self-determined citizens and gave the elite a modest place in the “cyber democracy”. However, the increase in individual self-isolation leads to his gradual loss of “social capital,” and that threatens to replace the direct experience with a virtual environment that will make it very difficult to differentiate reality from fiction. In the context of the study of the cultural national socio-humanitarian space, the article diagnoses and predicts the model of creating and preserving in it the dynamic equilibrium of the ethno-cultural space, in which the nation must remember the struggle for access to information and its primary sources both as an individual and the state as a whole, culture the transfer of information, which in the process of globalization is becoming a paramount commodity, an egregore, and in the post-traumatic, interrupted-compensatory cultural-information space close rehabilitation mechanisms for national identity to become a real factor in strengthening the state − and vice versa in the context of adequate laws («Law about press and other mass media», Law «About printed media (press) in Ukraine», Law «About Information», «Law about Languages», etc.) and their actual effect in creating motivational mechanisms for preserving/protecting the Ukrainian language, as one of the main identifiers of national identity, information support for its expansion as labels cultural and geostrategic areas.

Abstract:
The problems of the correlation of cosmopolitan and national identities are too complex to be unambiguous assessment, let alone alternative values (related to the ecological paradigm and the spiritual traditions of other cultures). However, it is obvious that without preserving the national identity, the integrity and independence of the national state becomes problematic. On the other hand, without taking into account the consequences of information wars and aggressive cosmopolitan tendencies of global media culture, there is a threat of losing the national information space and displacing it to the periphery of socio-political and economic life in Ukraine and in the modern world. In the process of working on research issues, the author of the article came out on the principles of objectivity, systematic and determinism, which in combination of their observance made it possible to determine the influence of the post-industrial information society on the formation of a new type of mass consciousness. As a result of the influence of globalization processes, there was a filling of the domestic information space with a supernational mass culture of entertainment, which in most cases leads to the spread of a primitive world outlook based on the ideology of consumption society, without leaving places to preserve sociocultural traditions and national identity. Therefore, given the problems of preserving national identity, it is necessary should be mentioned the information security of the state, which occupies one of the most important places, among various aspects of information security, since the unresolved problem of protection of the national information space significantly complicates the processes of formation of national identity.

The article is devoted to the study of journalistic standards in the blogosphere, i.e. the extent to which bloggers adhere to professional principles in their work with information. The popularity of the blogosphere has spread not only to journalists but also to influential people, as well as amateur bloggers, who have created their own platforms to distribute useful or entertaining content. However, not all bloggers work on a professional basis, which creates many opportunities to spread misinformation and manipulate consciousness. Standard approaches to working with information, which have historically been developed in journalism, help to avoid hassles, create professional principles, which ultimately distinguishes journalism from amateur media. In total, researchers distinguish 6 standards of journalism: accuracy, promptness, reliability, completeness of information, the balance of opinions, separation of facts from comments. In the modern world, the approach to defining the concept of “media” has changed significantly. At one time, only professional communicators and traditional media could apply for this status. However, with the development of democratic processes, pluralism of opinion, mass internetization, globalization, and the spread of information beyond the borders of a particular country or locality, alternative sources of information began to appear. Domestic processes of media privatization and oligarchization also contributed to this, when the media became not only repeaters of information, but also a component of the media business and big politics, thus losing the trust of the audience. That is why the popularity of bloggers as independent communicators, opinion leaders, experts in various fields has grown. This was facilitated by the rapid development of information technology, the ability to quickly transmit information of any content, as well as no need for professional training in the field of media. The popularity of the blogosphere is due to the fact that with the new role of a blogger, everyone is given the opportunity to communicate publicly through the use of previously unknown and inaccessible tools. As for professional standards of working with information, bloggers mostly lack the reliability of the information, the balance of opinions and judgments, the separation of facts from comments. And the subjective author’s position is an advantage, giving the blogger an individual way of self-expression.

Abstract:
The article clarifies of gender identity stereotypes in modern media. The main gender stereotypes covered in modern mass media are analyzed and refuted. The model of gender relations in the media is reflected mainly in the stereotypical images of men and woman. The features of the use of gender concepts in modern periodicals for women and men were determined. The most frequently used derivatives of these macroconcepts were identified and analyzed in detail. It has been found that publications for women and men are full of various gender concepts that are used in different contexts. Ingeneral, theanalysisofthe concept-maximums and concept-minimum gender and their characteristics is carried out in the context of gender stereotypes that have been forme dand function in the society, system atizing the a ctual presentations. The study of the gender concept is relevant because it reveals new trends and features of modern gender images. Taking into account the special features of gender-labeled periodicals in general and the practical absence of comprehensive scientific studies of the gender concept in particular, there is a need to supplement Ukrainian science with this topic. Gender psychology, which is served by methods of various sciences, primarily sociological, pedagogical, linguistic, psychological, socio-psychological. Let us pay attention to linguistic and psycholinguistic methods in gender studies. Linguistic methods complement intelligence research tasks, associated with speech, word and text. Psycholinguistic methods used in gender psychology (semantic differential, semantic integral, semantic analysis of words and texts), aimed at studying speech messages, specific mechanisms of origin and perception, functions of speech activity in society, studying the relationship between speech messages and gender properties participants in the communication, to analyze the linguistic development in connection with the general development of the individual. Nowhere in gender practice there is the whole arsenal of psychological methods that allow you to explore psychological peculiarities of a person like observation, experiments, questionnaires, interviews, testing, modeling, etc. The methods of psychological self-diagnostics include: the gender aspect of the own socio-psychological portrait, a gender biography as a variant of the biographical method, aimed at the reconstruction of individual social experience. In the process of writing a gender autobiography, a person can understand the characteristics of his gender identity, as well as ways and means of their formation. Socio-psychological methods of studying gender include the study of socially constructed women’s and men’s roles, relationships and identities, sexual characteristics, psychological characteristics, etc. The use of gender indicators and gender approaches as a means of socio-psychological and sociological analysis broadens the subject boundaries of these disciplines and makes them the subject of study within these disciplines. And also, in the article a combination of concrete-historical, structural-typological, system-functional methods is implemented. Descriptive and comparative methods, method of typology, modeling are used. Also used is a method of content analysis for the study of gender content of modern gender-stamped journals. It was he who allowed quantitatively to identify and explore the features of the gender concept in the pages of periodicals for women and men. A combination of historical, structural-typological, system-functional methods is also implemented in the article. Descriptive and comparative methods, method of typology, modeling are used. A method of content analysis for the study of gender content of modern gender-labeled journals is also used. It allowed to identify and explore the features of the gender concept quantitatively in the periodicals for women and men. The conceptual perception and interpretation of the gender concept «woman», which is highlighted in the modern gender-labeled press in Ukraine, requires the elaboration of the polyfunctionality of gender interpretations, the comprehension of the metaphorical perception of this image and its role and purpose in society. A gendered approach to researching the gender content of contemporary periodicals for women and men. Conceptual analysis of contemporary gender-stamped publications within the gender conceptual sphere allows to identify and correlate the meta-gender and gender concepts that appear in society.

The research is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of mediatization of art on the example of virtual museums. Main objective of the study is to give communication characteristics of the mediatized socio-cultural institutions. The subject of the research is forms, directions and communication features of virtual museums. Methodology. In the process of study, the method of communication analysis, which allowed to identify and characterize the main factors of the museum’s functioning as a communication system, was used. Among them, special emphasis is put on receptive and metalinguistic functions. Results / findings and conclusions. The need to be competitive in the information space determines the gradual transformation of socio-cultural institutions into mass media, which is reflected in the content and forms of dialogue with recipients. When cultural institutions begin to function as media, they take on the features of media structures that create a communication environment localized by the functions of communicators and audience expectations. Museums function in such a way that along with the real art space they form a virtual space, which puts the recipients into the reality of the exhibitions based on the principle of immersion. Mediaization of art on the example of virtual museum institutions allows us to talk about: expanding of the perceptual capabilities of the audience; improvement of the exposition function of mediatized museums with the help of Internet technologies; interactivity of museum expositions; providing broad contextual background knowledge necessary for a deep understanding of the content of works of art; the possibility to have a delayed viewing of works of art; absence of thematic, time and space restrictions; possibility of communication between visitors; a huge target audience. Significance. The study of the mediatized forms of communication between museums and visitors as well as the directions of their transformation into media are certainly of interest to the scientific field of “Social Communications”.

Abstract:
One of the main functions of mass media is influence on public opinion. So emotionally-painted lexical means are widely used in mass media in relation to leading politicians who are the centre of political arena. They are exposed to the frequent criticism, a negative estimation. The present article is devoted to the consideration of pejorative lexicon which is applied in nominations for heads of states. An empirical material of research were electronic newspapers and editions: Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Der Tagesspiegel, taz, Die Welt, Gegenblende. As the basic methods of research are the following: the componental analysis, the lexico-semantic analysis, the stylistic analysis. The result of research revealed, that in German mass media there is a significant amount of persons names pejorative colouring. They express censure, disrespect, sneer, hatred, antipathy, condemnation, mistrust and so on. There main word-formations for persons nominations are composition, a derivation with using of suffixes and subsuffixes, attributive word-combinations, metaphorically-metonymical way. The materials of the research work can be used in the course of learning German language, at the practical training in oral speech, and also in the course of lexicology, general and aspect lexicography.
