Abstract:
AbstractLanguage, both spoken and written, is an evidence of human civilization as it tells the culture of its users. A language extincts when its speakers were also gone without passing it into their future users. Or else, their descendants shift their language to another so that the previous one is no longer used. The extinction of many indigenous languages in Indonesia shows that their users choose to use another languages that give them more benefit than those indigenous languages. For example, instead of using indigenous languages as their mother tounge, Javanese people choose Indonesian (the official language) or even English (the international language) as their first language. Language maintenance is then needed to do to preserve the languages and the culture embedded in its use. One of the ways to do it is by using it through mass media since they have strong influence toward people. This research describes indigenous language maintenance through printed mass media, particularly through comic strip on newspaper, tabloid and magazine. Comic strip is one of the sections in printed media, usually newspaper, using spoken language written on its panel that sometimes using part of indigenous language in the conversation of its characters. The writer shows how and comic strips at printed mass media indirectly preserve spoken Javanese.

Abstract:
This study focuses on the coverage of environmental threats in the German-language media. The methodology of this study is based on the ecolinguistic approach, particularly the achievements of media ecology, identifying the harmonization of the media space as a priority for journalism and a relevant area for linguistic studies. The German-language media focuses on the environmental challenges caused by the war in Ukraine, the threat of imminent climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The effectiveness of their media presentation by the lexical and stylistic means is becoming relevant for linguistic research. The anthropocentric worldview of the human being causes a significant manipulative effect of anthropomorphic metaphor on the reader and helps to promote a conscious attitude to the environment. The distinguished models of metaphor and metonymy, used to increase the emotional plane of the described content, indicate the possibility of their use as a tool for awakening ecolinguistic consciousness. The socio- and psycholinguistic experiment determined the peculiarities of the German-speaking respondents' reception of publications on environmental issues. Representatives of the younger generation (mostly students) were interviewed, which allowed forming an idea of their interest in overcoming ecological problems and finding out popular sources of information about them. The impossibility of an immediate comprehensive expert assessment of the consequences of the war in Ukraine for all ecosystems determines further research into the means of media attention to this issue.

Abstract:
Balinese language as the mother tongue of the Balinese people is inherited and used until now. As part of the cultural treasures, the existence of the Balinese language is very important to be preserved. The Provincial Government of Bali, as the highest policy holder in the region, has also issued various legal regulations, both in the form of regional regulations and governor regulations in preserving the Balinese language. Policies from the local government certainly require support from all components of Balinese society as supporters and users of the Balinese language. In addition to the efforts carried out by the local government, the mass media in Bali have also long played a role in preserving the Balinese language, one of which is by including Balinese language rubrics in the mass media published, either in daily, weekly or monthly editions. However, the contribution of the Balinese-language mass media is felt to have received less attention from the public, including the government, so that its existence is fluctuating. Therefore, it is important to conduct a study on how the development, existence and also the supporting or inhibiting factors of maintaining the Balinese language through the Balinese language mass media. When viewed from its development, the mass media in Balinese language has been developing for a long time. The Balinese language mass media is still effective in conveying information to the public, because most Balinese people are still active in using the Balinese language. Factors supporting the existence of Balinese-language mass media in Bali include, among others, the support of the Bali provincial government in preserving the Balinese language and literature in the form of regulations in the form of governorates and local regulations; the idealism of the owners or managers of Balinese-language mass media in Bali; the development of Balinese language communities; there are universities that open Balinese language departments. Abstract:
Curiosity is an important and important quality of human nature, on the basis of which spiritual and material development of human has been possible, whatever difference or development or change we have been feeling in the journey from the beginning to modernity and perhaps will continue . Curious nature has a special place behind them all. This applies to all regions of the world as well as language. If we look at the attention of Hindi literature, then we see many changes in the history of its nearly 2000 years. Language continued to act as a medium of mass communication and continues to the day. But due to technical education, along with language, many such technical tools have been added, due to which the language seems to be paralyzed today. The change of time between 1980 and 2000 shook the smallest world. The effect of which was also certain on India. This effect has also taken the language in its grip. Today, without these tools and tools, language is inanimate. Its development, its spread seems to be stagnant. Today language technicians are using equipment and equipment is taking help of language. The information from these two mails reaches from one corner of the world to the other in a blink of an eye. The era of globalization has complemented these two.

Abstract:
The current issue of information access for different nations within one state is examined. The media of Quebec, the only francophone province of Canada, give us a clear example. However, Russian scholars almost disregard this domain. Therefore, the research is based on the Canadian works (M. Brunet, A. Beaulieu and J. Hamelin, W.H. Kesterton) in French and in English. The Royal Commission on Newspapers Report (1981), which described two separate media systems (French media and English media), was used as well. The focus is on the Franco-Canadian national problem and its influence on Quebec media historic evolution. This process moves from bilingual editions (two first newspapers were published in French and in English simultaneously) to modern monolingual media system. Through comparative analysis, the relationship between media bilingualism and media monolingualism in Quebec of 18-21st centuries is examined. Quebecs modern information politics can be defined as media regionalism (French language and specific Quebec content). Media regionalisms object is to resist federal doctrine one country - one nation with two languages, the base of Official Language Act (1969). As a result, the absence of traditional federal official media bilingualism in Quebec, which tries to save its national heritage by media regionalism, was discovered.

Abstract:
Today, the mass media (mainstream) still occupies an important role. In this regard, the mass media can play an important role in language development, especially Indonesian. The variety of languages that exist in society affects the language of the mass media. On the other hand, the language of the mass media also affects the language in society. This research design is qualitative. The variable studied was BIRJ's foreign language vocabulary. Qualitative research design is considered the most relevant to be applied in this study because this research is exploratory and is not intended to test hypotheses. In data analysis, the following activities were carried out: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. In terms of sentence types, foreign language words are found in both direct and indirect sentences of BIRJ. In this case, there are at least three kinds of phenomena, namely (1) foreign language words without explanation, (2) foreign language words with descriptions, and (3) foreign language words as descriptions. Regarding word writing, foreign language words are still found in BIRJ which are not written with foreign language writing rules and foreign words that have been absorbed are written with foreign language writing rules.

Abstract:
The article describes the historical stages of learning the language of the Ukrainian press. Attention to the language of journalism is due to the fact that the selection and use of language is characterized by a combination of two requirements – the desire to strengthen both the logical and emotional side of expression. The study of the language of journalism, namely the language of Ukrainian newspapers, has a history. The appearance of a significant number of articles on this topic was facilitated by language discussions on language culture, which in some way also affected the language of the press. In the 20’s of the 20th century the language of the press stood out as a separate variety. It is determined that the basis of its development was the vernacular. It was found that the «newspaper language» developed in close connection with the language practice of the intelligentsia and influenced the prestige of the national language. The language of the media is dynamic in nature, so it responds most quickly to all changes in public consciousness and reflects the state of the latter, influencing its formation. In the language of the media it is easy to see the new trends in approaches to language learning that can be traced in modern linguistics. The role of the media in modern society is difficult to overestimate. They have a powerful potential for the state of public opinion, as most of their ideas about the world people get from newspapers and magazines. Characteristic features of the mass media are their publicity, i.e. an unlimited number of consumers; indirect, divided in space and time interaction of communicators; unidirectional influence from the communicator to the recipient, the impossibility of changing their roles The study of the language of the media in recent years has also become particularly relevant. This is due to at least two factors: the situation of the functioning of literary language at the turn of the century and the priority for modern linguistics tendency to consider language material from a communicative standpoint, given the representation of language knowledge in human consciousness and patterns of language communication.

Abstract:
The article expertly comments on the trend of genre innovations in modern Ukrainian mass media. The author's argumentation is based on the functional evolution of the literary language, which is reflected in the change of the style's communicative nature, in particular, media. Logically also in his genre system. The situation of genre forms' modeling according to the criteria of syncretism, updated in time and space of modern Ukrainian-language communication, is commented on, which is connected with the need of recipients to perceive information from the media not linearly, but constructively – multifaceted and variable. It results in the active emergence of genre variants, actualized in the media space, which modify its functional and stylistic resource and potential. Genre innovations are interpreted in the context of a professional analysis of language show genre new for national media, which appears as a communicative invariant of intellect show and is synchronized with the style of the edutainment format. Language factology attests the conceptualization of the cultural and linguistic context of social communication in Ukrainian language, which is based on current rules, established tradition, and transitional forms that undergo communicative adaptation. Thus, the novelty of the genre is formulated, which consists in the intellectual understanding of the communicative nature of Ukrainian language in media space. The mass audience gets an objective opportunity to participate in the comprehension and understanding of the processes that indicate the dynamics of the literary language, its norms and exceptions. The thesis is proved that new for the media language show genre is a syncretic phenomenon in terms of functional and stylistic resource and genre nature, which is based on a communicatively motivated combination of information and entertainment functions. Information in this case relies on the cognitive context of verbalization, as it concerns the actualization of cognitive processes of the development of mass language consciousness, which is provided by the creolized resource of media entertainment.

Abstract:
The article explores the functioning of feminitives-neologismsin modern English. Feminitives are quite actively studied by modern linguists. Word formation studies the formation of feminitives, gender linguistics studies their use. The focus of linguistic gender studies is the study of the category of gender using linguistic tools, the representation of the category of gender in the language, the presence of gender asymmetry (this phenomenon is also called androcentrism of the language), etc. Feminitives are a struggle against the androcentrism of the language, in which the male norm is presented as universal. In the article, gender is considered as a stratification category, as one of the parameters by which the social identity of the speaker is constructed in communication. The English language tends to be politically correct and use gender-neutral words. The prevailing ideology and moral norms have led to the fact that they have become the basis for the formation of the language policy of states. Gender is a product of the development of culture and society. Of great interest is the study of gender in professional communication, attention is paid to the ways of nominating persons of different sexes. So, the purpose of the study is to conduct a gender analysis of the ongoing changes in the modern world.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the key influence of mass media on different language levels based on analysing several modern newspapers and magazines published in Japan. The article uses the following methods of analysis: structural analysis, lexical and semantic analysis, stylistic analysis, analytical and synthetic method, and contextual analysis. The results of the study showed that the most noticeable influence of mass media on the modern Japanese language was observed at the lexical and stylistic levels and less noticeable – at the phonetic, word-forming, morphological, and syntactic levels. Phonetic changes in the Japanese press were associated with the adaptation of non-equivalent vocabulary from European languages using the Japanese alphabet (katakana). At the word-forming level, the changes concerned primarily uncharacteristic derivational units that came to Japanese from English, and at the morphological level, the influence was conducted mainly through the demonstration of samples of the correct use of case endings, tenses and coordination of parts of speech. At the syntactic level, there was a variety of syntactic constructions, in particular, to expand the content, introduce additional sentences, and change the topic of conversation. The stylistic influence of mass media on the Japanese language system consisted in the use of artistic tropes and stylistic figures, in particular, metaphors, hyperbole, and periphery, which can be considered patterns for communicative behaviour.

The article analyzes the communication process of modern mass media. Journalism, holding true to its methods of undestanding reality, turns to the postmodern manner of writing. Dialogueness of mass communication is built on different levels. Speech reflects contradictory processes, which occur in our life and are accompanied by changing moral values and spiritual guidelines. Language occurrences in different kinds of mass communication break up the foundations of Russian culture. A new information environment should be created in agreement with the historical traditions and linguistic culture of the society.

Abstract:
The author of this article is concerned about the preservation of the culture of speech in modern mass media (press, radio, television, Internet sites, social networks) and discuss its main causes and consequences. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that scientists pay attention to the study of the peculiarities of the functioning of the media language and the problems of its deviation from the literary language norm. The purpose of the study is to identify the influence of the media language on the state of the Kazakh language as a whole and to find out how and to what extent this influence occurs, to analyze errors in the composition of the Kazakh media text. With the help of the research material, it is possible to determine the level of changes in the Kazakh language by conducting grammatical and lexical analysis. The main hypothesis is that errors in the language of the media affect the Kazakh language through the media, including through social networks, at all linguistic levels, especially by changing grammatical and lexical rules. The theoretical significance of the study is that the speech practice of modern mass media is actively developing, and, on the one hand, the number of text materials appearing in the field of mass media is increasing, and on the other hand, these texts have many errors that affect the status of language and speech, which are not so obvious to society. These consequences are characterized by the appearance of new newspapers and magazines, completely different in content and nature of the development of speech culture of new TV and radio programs, etc. In the speech practice of society as a whole, the share of speech products of mass media is increasing, the importance of mass media texts in the public consciousness is increasing: at present, the main importance of literary texts is indisputable. All of the above in this study boils down to the fact that a high level of speech culture in the field of mass media should be provided not only by linguists, but also by practitioners who form the vocabulary of the language of mass media. The study used general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis and deduction in the process of studying and systematizing theoretical material.

Abstract:
Ours is an age of media and information technology, in which the mass media drive our global politics and economy and control our perceptions. Media literacy, or the ability to "read" what is hidden in the media text (both spoken and written) is a very important skill for our learners, especially at the tertiary level, to really understand what is going on around them, and to become independent, critical thinkers in our society. This article gives an example of a newspaper report with bias and shows how a critical reading can be done to reveal the implicit side-taking perspective. It also discusses why media literacy should be incorporated into a language class and how this can be done.

Abstract:
The issue of linguistic creativity in Chinese mass media sources published in English is considered. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that the English-language discourse of the Chinese mass media is studied as an independent culturally conditioned speech activity phenomenon that actualizes the cultural values of China and the civilizational values of the East. It is substantiated that linguistic creativity is realized in English texts through various forms of manifestation of Chinese national communicative identity: proverbs, allegories, analogies, hints, allusions, rooted in Chinese history, philosophy and folk experience. The updated concepts of proverbs emphasize the values of constant evolutionary movement on the principle of “movement in the still” and the values of collectivism, which are significant both in the country itself and in the region and the world. The collectivism peculiar to China determined the accentuation of the anti-value concepts of hegemony, shame, slander and humiliation. It has been proved that linguistic creativity in the Chinese media in English is also expressed in wordplay and word creation, if this contributes to a more effective presentation of China's position to the English-speaking audience and does not violate the principle of appropriateness. It has been established that in the Chinese English-language mass media, linguistic creativity is of a discursive-pragmatic nature, allows copying samples of linguistic creativity from English-language media and is supplemented with new associations and meanings in their own cultural context.

Abstract:
The problem of expressiveness has been quite relevant for some time now. Scholars have been studying the expressiveness in various aspects since the 50s of the 20th century. However, there has been great interest in the research of this notion in mass media discourse. This is due to the fact that the media cover the largest audience in the Internet. It is difficult to imagine the scale of the information’s impact on the recipients, especially when it comes to the emotional aspect of a person. This is where the significance of expressiveness in the texts of mass media arises. The research is devoted to the study of expressive means in English-language online media based on articles about the war in Ukraine. This article considers the phenomena of expressiveness and expression and analyses the studies of mass media discourse and its peculiarities. It also demonstrates how authors use stylistic devices in mass media and the analysis of the pragmatic function of expressive means used in the text is provided, their impact on the reader, his thoughts, views, etc.
