Abstract We discuss a relationship between information geometry and the Glansdorff–Prigogine criterion for stability. For the linear master equation, we found a relation between the line element and the excess entropy production rate. This relation leads to a new perspective of stability in a nonequilibrium steady-state. We also generalize the Glansdorff–Prigogine criterion for stability based on information geometry. Our information-geometric criterion for stability works well for the nonlinear master equation, where the Glansdorff–Prigogine criterion for stability does not work well. We deri

Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the effect of type of viscosity and groove on surface detail reproduction of elastomeric impression materials. Methods: Two polyvinylsiloxane and polyether elastomeric impression materials were investigated. An aluminium cylindrical reference block with V- and U-shaped grooves of 1 mm and 2 mm in depth was machined using CAD-CAM system. Impressions of the block were taken to produce 35 master dies. Each die was immersed in distilled water for 5 minutes prior to impression making. Surface topography of the dies and impressions were captured using Alicona Imaging System. M

The main purpose of this paper is to create an efficient ground-sweeping robot equipped with map-establishing and path-planning functions. Two ground-sweeping robots are connected with a master pc via a Blue-tooth protocol. The position of the ground-sweeping robot will be sent back to the master pc allowing the master pc to control the robots during the ground-sweeping process. An environmental map of the sweeping area will be established by emitting an ultrasonic wave from a rotating ultrasonic sensor within the robot. The geometry data will be sent back to the master pc via the Bluetooth mo

Abstract:
An axisymmetric harmonic finite element representation is used to calculate shaft lateral critical speeds and perform stability analysis. Unlike a beam element model, an axisymmetric solid element representation allows the actual rotor geometry to be modeled. A Fourier series representation allows the three-dimensional shaft geometry to be modeled in two dimensions by only considering the radial and axial coordinates. Thus, the degrees of freedom of this element type are different from the usual two translations and two rotations at each node associated with bending of a three-dimensional beam

Maintaining the effectiveness of the transportation system is essential to economic growth. Poor road upgrading methods in many developing nations, however, are making it impossible for traffic to flow freely. Nepal developed the Nepal Rural Road Standards (NRRS) of 2055, District Transportation Master Plan (DTMP), and Municipality Transportation Master Plan (MTMP) to regulate the construction of rural road infrastructure. These guidelines provide guidelines for rural road planning, design, building, and maintenance, among other aspects. However, each geometric design has certain features, and

Successful synthesis of ordered porous, multi-component complex materials requires a series of coordinated processes, typically including fabrication of a master template, deposition of materials within the pores to form a negative structure, and a third deposition or etching process to create the final, functional template. Translating the utility and the simplicity of the ordered nanoporous geometry of binary oxide templates to those comprising complex functional oxides used in energy, electronic, and biology applications has been met with numerous critical challenges. This paper aims to apply time-temperature superposition to short-term microindentation data measured at different temperatures, and to compare the viscoelastic compliance master curve that is found with data derived earlier from standard macro creep measurements in pressure. Using a sharp standard Berkovich indenter a successful application of this geometry in characterizing time-dependent mechanical properties of viscoelastic materials is confirmed.

The Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VSEPR) is an essential topic for high school student’s fundamental understanding of 3D shapes of chemical compounds. Due to the spatial aspect of the topic, the students were forced to imagine the geometry of the molecule by predicting the free or bonded electron pair repulsion. Suitable learning media to accommodate those features should be precisely selected to help students properly understand the geometry of the molecule based on the VSEPR topic. This study compared the significant difference in the application of two media of animation video and
