In 2017-2021, a further 22 new species of Macromycetes were recorded in the village of Wyskok in the Masurian Lakeland and its surroundings additional, including Polish red-listed Fistulina hepatica (rare) and Stropharia albonitens (vulnerable). The updated checklist of macromycetes from Wyskok now contains 347 species. The increasing abundance of the thermophilic species Amanita strobiliformis is supposed to be attributed to climate warming.

AbstractThe sailing market continues to develop rapidly and has a high growth potential. Sailing is one of the most popular types of recreational activity in Poland due to an abundance of lakes, including the Great Masurian Lakeland Trail which received a special mention from UNESCO. The development of nautical tourism requires effective organizational and technical solutions. The absence of a public mooring information system in Poland’s inland harbors has prompted the development of the Global Yacht Positioning System (GYPS) for mobile devices. The design process was preceded by a survey of

The Masurian Lakeland is well known for its tourist values, with plenty of lakes, forests, and historic sites offering a wide variety of activities. It is also an area with outstanding nature linked to its early postglacial geomorphology – most notably lakes, a dense net of streams and rivers, peat bogs, and therefore a great diversity of hydrogenic plant associations. Being located in the northeast of Poland it is characterized by its climate, thanks to which many relict boreal species of plants and animals have their refugia or limits of compact range in the region. The funeral rite in the Masurian Lakeland in the early Middle Ages is still a mystery. Until the turn of seventh and eighth century, this area was inhabited by people of the Olsztyn group, who practised cremation. However, there are no recognised late eighth to tenth-century burial grounds. Recent research at the stronghold in Pasym revealed evidence of unique burial rituals. An analysis of the distribution of human remains indicates that they were found mainly within dwellings. The osteological analysis suggests that the minimal number of individuals calculated is deficient, at two individual
