Full textIn this study, we will be exploring the extended school teacher’s perception of dialogue with children in their work environment. The starting point for this study happened when we encountered Philosophical and Socratic dialogues as a didactic tool in our course “the child's existential questions”. This sparked our interest, trying to figure out how these would look like in the real world, if they were present at all. This study is using a phenomenological perspective, combined with Aristotle's theory of knowledge with the purpose of giving us the tools required for analyzing our qualitative interviews. We will also be using a report from Skolinspektionen regarding the quality of extended school teacher’s work environment from 2010 with the purpose of comparing the results we find in our study against the results they identified. The results of this study concluded that pedagogues often strive for goals that may be difficult to reach, for a couple of different reasons. Also in their dialogues with children they strive for results that philosophical and Socratic dialogues can contribute to. We also learned that the extended school teachers try to teach practical wisdom but with the tools of teaching theoretical knowledge.

Full textRevisorsnämnden har till uppgift att examinera, granska och tillgodose samhället med kompetenta revisorer. Det ställs höga krav på dem som vill bli revisorer inte minst vad gäller det professionella omdömet. Det finns två olika prov för att examinera revisorer. Provet för revisorsexamen vilket leder till titeln godkänd revisor och provet för högre revisorsexamen som leder till titeln auktoriserad revisor. När Revisorsnämnden skapar proven vill man testa det professionella omdömet. Ett led i detta är att man har satt upp normer för de olika proven vad gäller kunskaps‐ respektive förståelseinriktade frågor. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka frågorna i revisorsprovet med utgångspunkt ur Blooms Taxonomi. Genom en jämförelse med revisorsnämnden normer vill vi vidare belysa i vilken grad Revisorsnämnden testar det man har för avsikt att testa genom examinationen. Vi har genom denna uppsats kommit fram till att proven i högre utsträckning än vad normerna antyder består av förståelseinriktade frågor.

Full textIn order for the language to function normally, the expression- and comprehension of language must work together. Aphasia is a language impairment caused by damage to the language areas of the brain. Getting aphasia can mean a big change in life and often requires adaptation regarding communication both for the person with aphasia and the persons around them. Adaptation regarding communication also includes healthcare staff working close to the person with aphasia. In order to reach understanding and to give care of good quality, knowledge about aphasia is necessary. Previous research shows that health care staff lacks efficient understanding about aphasia. Considering that, a tool for measuring knowledge about aphasia would be desirable. This study's aim has been to produce questions (items) which can measure the level of knowledge in healthcare personnel. Qualitative research method was used in order to find material for the production of items. In order to gather experiences of how the health care staff's understanding of aphasia are experienced by interested people today, interviews with three separate groups were performed: five persons with aphasia, five relatives to persons with aphasia and three speech and language pathologists with experience of working with persons with aphasia. The interviews were analyzed through qualitative content analysis. The result showed that all the participants' had various experiences of knowledge deficiencies regarding aphasia within the healthcare staff. The analyzed material resulted in 32 items, with the purpose of measuring the understanding of aphasia in healthcare staff. Since the material indicated that a deficiency in knowledge of aphasia exists in healthcare staff, the study was considered to be justified. Within qualitative research method, there are always risks that different elements, for example the researcher´s viewpoint, can affect the participants. Maximum consideration regarding this issue has been considered. Future benefits of this study could be an assessment instrument containing the items produced in this study. The purpose of an assessment instrument could be to measure health care staff´s knowledge about aphasia. Thereby, new opportunities are given to assure the quality of care for persons with aphasia, to justify education for healthcare staff and to evaluate the health care staff´s understanding in relation to the results of rehabilitation. Problem:Humankapital är svårt att mäta eftersom företaget varken kan äga eller fullt kontrollera resursen. Problemet uppstår vid bestämmandet av vad som är relevant att mäta och hur man ska mäta det för att uppnå högre prestation.
Syfte:Uppsatsens syfte är att genom en fallstudie fördjupa förståelsen av hur organisationer internt mäter och analyserar sitt humankapital samt vilka potentiella konsekvenser detta kan ha för styrningen av organisationen.
Metod:Denna studie omfattar en kvalitativ metod genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med personalen på företaget NCC.
Slutsats:Humankapital är svårt att mäta men med hjälp av mätinstrumentet Humankapitalindex (HKI) kan mätningen förenklas. Nyttan med HKI faller bort helt eller delvis lokalt i vissa fall p.g.a negativa mätningsfaktorer. Att nyttan ibland faller bort lokalt påverkar dock inte den strategiska nyttan.

Title: To measure people – a case study on a Nordic construction company
Supervisor: Matti Skoog, senior lecturer.
Research Issue: It is difficult to measure human capital because companies cannot own nor control this resource. The problem arises when deciding what is relevant to measure and how they measure it to achieve higher perfomance.
Purpose:The purpose of the study is to deepen the comprehension of how organizations measure and analyze their human capital internally and which potential consequences it can have for the organizations’ management through a case study.
Method:This bachelor thesis is based upon a qualitative method using semi-structured interviews with employees of NCC.
Conclusions:It is difficult to measure human capital but with the measurement instrument Humankapitalindex (HKI), the measurement can be simplified. The utility of HKI sometimes drops completely or partly locally due to negative measurement factors. Even though the utility sometimes drops locally, the strategic utility is unaffected.
