Endüstride malzemelerin cıvata, perçin ve pim bağlantıları ile montajlanması veya üzerlerine delikler oluşturmak için matkap ile delme yöntemi kullanılmaktadır. Kompozit malzemelerin delinmesi esnasında çapaklanma, delaminasyon ve malzeme yarılması görülmektedir. İşleme parametreleri, delinen malzemenin mekanik özellikleri ve matkap nokta açısı delik kalitesini etkileyen en önemli faktörlerdir. Bu çalışmada cam elyaf takviyeli polimer (CETP) kompozit plakalara nano boyutta katkı maddesi eklenmesinin mekanik özelliklerine ve matkap yöntemi ile delinmesine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Tabakalı cam elyaf kompozit malzemelere nano partikül ilavesinin malzemenin dayanımında etkili bir rol oynadığı ve delik kalitesine etki ettiği görülmüştür. Sabit fener mili devri değerleri kullanılarak yapılan delme işlemlerinde; tezgah ilerlemesi arttıkça çapaklanmanın arttığı, matkap nokta açısının artması ile delik çapının arttığı tespit edildi. 90° ve 140° açılı matkaplar kullanılarak delinen deliklerin çıkış kısımlarında epoksi tabakasının blok şeklinde cam elyaf tabakasından ayrıldığı görüldü.

Abstract:
Theanine, a major amino acid in green tea, exhibits a stress-reducing effect in mice and humans. Matcha, which is essentially theanine-rich powdered green tea, is abundant in caffeine. Caffeine has a strong antagonistic effect against theanine. The stress-reducing effect of matcha was examined with an animal experiment and a clinical trial. The stress-reducing effect of matcha marketed in Japan and abroad was assessed based on its composition. The stress-reducing effect of matcha in mice was evaluated as suppressed adrenal hypertrophy using territorially-based loaded stress. High contents of theanine and arginine in matcha exhibited a high stress-reducing effect. However, an effective stress-reducing outcome was only possible when the molar ratio of caffeine and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) to theanine and arginine was less than two. Participants (n = 39) consumed test-matcha, which was expected to have a stress-reducing effect, or placebo-matcha, where no effect was expected. Anxiety, a reaction to stress, was significantly lower in the test-matcha group than in the placebo group. To predict mental function of each matcha, both the quantity of theanine and the ratios of caffeine, EGCG, and arginine against theanine need to be verified.

Abstract:
Matcha tea is a traditional Japanese tea that is said to possess ten times higher bioactive components and polyphenols than that of conventional green teas. Matcha is remotely popular among the global community and meagerly researched and infamous among the scientific population. It is the powdered form of green tea leaves that are directly suspended in hot water and drunk without filtration. Matcha is said to be one of the richest antioxidant sources naturally available. This review summarizes the available research publications related to matcha and compares the research accomplishments of green tea and matcha researchers. The fact that green tea is backed up by 35,000 publications while matcha has merely 54 publications to its credit is highlighted in this review for the first time. The future of matcha for tapping its enormous antioxidant activity and health potentials remains connected to the volume of scientific awareness and enhanced research attention in this area. If green tea has so much to offer towards human health and welfare, there is certainly room for more benefits from matcha, which is yet to be disclosed. As public awareness cannot be won without scientific approval, this review seeks that this gap may be bridged using essential knowledge gained from matcha applications and allied research.

Abstract:
Matcha, a type of green tea, has a higher amino acid content than other types of tea. We previously examined the ability of matcha to improve cognitive function in older adults and determined that continuous matcha intake improves attention and executive function. This study aimed to compare the effects of matcha and caffeine and clarify the differences between these effects. The study was registered at the University Hospital Medical Information Network (UMIN000036578). The effect of single and continuous intake was compared, and the usefulness of continuous intake was evaluated under the stress condition. The Uchida–Kraepelin test (UKT) was used to induce mild acute stress, and the Cognitrax was used to evaluate cognitive function. A single dose of caffeine improved attentional function during or after stress loading. The reduced reaction time in the Cognitrax, observed following a single dose of matcha, was likely due to caffeine. The matcha group showed an increase in the amount of work after continuous intake, whereas the caffeine group only showed an increase in the amount of work for the UKT after a single dose. Ingesting matcha with caffeine improves both attention and work performance when suffering from psychological stress compared with caffeine alone.

Green tea is commercially available in three forms: loose leaf, bagged and powdered. The objective of this study was to compare the radical scavenging capacity of different forms of green tea like loose leaf (3), bagged (2) and powdered matcha (2) of various brands. The green tea forms were prepared at 95-100°C for 5 min., to mimic conditions usually used for tea preparations at home. The comparison of combined IC50 values of different green tea forms (loose leaf, bagged and matcha) showed no significant difference in their radical scavenging activity except bagged tea that exhibited slightly more DPPH radical scavenging potential as compared to matcha. Individually, the Bud white loose leaf demonstrated highest antioxidant activity followed by Laplant bag, Lipton bag, Laplant loose, Gourmet matcha, Wow matcha and Lipton loose. These findings revealed that on the basis of form, it may not be possible to generalize which form of tea whether loose leaf, bagged or matcha, is more effective in scavenging free radicals.

The article is devoted to the development of a functional confectionery compounding confectionery product using non-traditional raw materials, which was chosen as Matcha green tea. Periodic reception of Matcha tea helps to preserve the healthy state of the human body, preventing the development of many diseases. Currently, Moscow State University of Food Production is conducting research on the development of a functional confection, namely marshmallows using Matcha green tea. To determine the possibility of making Matcha tea, a comparison was made of the chemical compositions of marshmallows prepared according to the classic recipe and marshmallows with Matcha green tea. It was found that 100 g of the product satisfies the daily need of an adult in the following nutrients: 83% - The Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity (ORAC) units, 300% polyphenols, 33% Vitamin A (retinol), 36% Vitamin A (beta carotene), 12% Vitamin B1, 100% Vitamin K. The organoleptic evaluation of the samples showed that, unlike the marshmallow sample prepared according to the classical recipe, Matcha marshmallow with Matcha tea has a tart herbal taste and a green tint; no significant differences were found in determining the other indicators. Using a textural analyzer, rheological studies were carried out, namely, the determination of the strength and elasticity of the finished products. The strength of marshmallows with matcha green tea is lower than that of the classic recipes, but this does not affect the provision of sufficient form holding capacity of the product.

Intake of the catechin epigallocatechin gallate and caffeine has been shown to enhance exercise-induced fat oxidation. Matcha green tea powder contains catechins and caffeine and is consumed as a drink. We examined the effect of Matcha green tea drinks on metabolic, physiological, and perceived intensity responses during brisk walking. A total of 13 females (age: 27 ± 8 years, body mass: 65 ± 7 kg, height: 166 ± 6 cm) volunteered to participate in the study. Resting metabolic equivalent (1-MET) was measured using Douglas bags (1-MET: 3.4 ± 0.3 ml·kg−1·min−1). Participants completed an incremental walking protocol to establish the relationship between walking speed and oxygen uptake and individualize the walking speed at 5- or 6-MET. A randomized, crossover design was used with participants tested between Days 9 and 11 of the menstrual cycle (follicular phase). Participants consumed three drinks (each drink made with 1 g of Matcha premium grade; OMGTea Ltd., Brighton, UK) the day before and one drink 2 hr before the 30-min walk at 5- (n = 10) or 6-MET (walking speed: 5.8 ± 0.4 km/hr) with responses measured at 8–10, 18–20, and 28–30 min. Matcha had no effect on physiological and perceived intensity responses. Matcha resulted in lower respiratory exchange ratio (control: 0.84 ± 0.04; Matcha: 0.82 ± 0.04; p < .01) and enhanced fat oxidation during a 30-min brisk walk (control: 0.31 ± 0.10; Matcha: 0.35 ± 0.11 g/min; p < .01). Matcha green tea drinking can enhance exercise-induced fat oxidation in females. However, when regular brisk walking with 30-min bouts is being undertaken as part of a weight loss program, the metabolic effects of Matcha should not be overstated.

The aim of this work was to optimize our natural hair dyeing system which we described in our previous work and to compare with other dyeing systems. Therefore, we investigated concentration limits of matcha and mordant and compared this new dyeing method with commercial permanent systems on the market. Completely unpigmented hair tresses were dyed with matcha powder (camelia sinensis) and iron(II)-lactate. To investigate the wash fastness and concentration limits, the differently dyed hair tresses were spectrophotometrically measured. The comparison of the damage potential for which cysteic acid is an indicator was measured by NIR. The concentration of matcha and mordant are responsible for the intensity of the color results. The higher the matcha or the mordant concentration, the darker the color results of the dyed hair tresses. Hair damage of matcha mordant dyeing is comparable with results of commercial permanent hair coloration systems. Moreover, the results of wash fastness of matcha mordant dyed hair tresses is comparable and even better by tendency to permanent colored hair tresses.

We present a multisensor matchup system (MMS) that allows systematic detection of satellite-based sensor-to-sensor matchups and the extraction of local subsets of satellite data around matchup locations. The software system implements a generic matchup-detection approach and is currently being used for validation and sensor harmonization purposes. An overview of the flexible and highly configurable software architecture and the target processing environments is given. We discuss improvements implemented with respect to heritage systems, and present some performance comparisons. A detailed description of the intersection algorithm is given, which allows a fast matchup detection in geometry and time.

Abstract:
Lately, matcha green tea has gained popularity as a beverage and food additive. It has proved to be effective in preventing obesity and related metabolic syndromes. However, the underlying mechanisms of its control effects against non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) are complicated and remain elusive. In the present study, we performed an in vivo experiment using male C57BL/6 mice fed with a high-fat diet and simultaneously treated with matcha for six weeks. Serum biochemical parameters, histological changes, lipid accumulation, inflammatory cytokines, and relevant indicators were examined. Dietary supplementation of matcha effectively prevented excessive accumulation of visceral and hepatic lipid, elevated blood glucose, dyslipidemia, abnormal liver function, and steatosis hepatitis. RNA sequencing analyses of differentially expressed genes in liver samples indicated that matcha treatment decreased the activity of lipid droplet-associated proteins and increased the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes, suggesting improved metabolic capacity and liver function. The current study provided evidence for new dietary strategies based on matcha supplementation to ameliorate lipotoxicity-induced obesity and NALFD.

Foi desenvolvida no curso de formação de professores para a educação do campo, que abordou o tema: Construção e uso do matapi: diálogos entre tempo escola e tempo comunidade. Nosso objetivo é apresentar possibilidades para abordar algumas noções da geometria em sala de aula, partindo da construção do matapi, utilizando o Geogebra como instrumento didático. Para alcançar esse objetivo, apresentamos algumas imagens do matapi, que foi construído no local, para, em seguida, representá-lo no ambiente virtual com auxílio do software. Abstract:
Matcha green tea (Camellia sinensis), which originates from Japan, is commonly considered as particularly beneficial to health. A large content of polyphenols, amino acids (mainly tannins) and caffeine potentially increase the antioxidant properties of the drink. The aim of the study was to determine the antioxidant potential and the content of substances with an antioxidant effect—vitamin C, total polyphenol content including flavonoids—in infusions made from Traditional Matcha (from the first and second harvests) and Daily Matcha (from the second and third harvests) at different temperatures. The infusions were made by pouring 100 mL of distilled water once at various temperatures (25 °C, 70 °C, 80 °C and 90 °C) over 1.75 g of the plant material. Matcha tea is characterized by a high level of antioxidant substances (flavonoids 1968.8 mg/L; polyphenols 1765.1 mg/L; vitamin C 44.8 mg/L) as well as antioxidant potential (41.2% DPPH (10× dilution); 6129.5 µM Fe(II)/dm3 FRAP). The concentration of these compounds depends on the time at which the plant material was harvested as well as on the temperature of water used to prepare the infusions. For most parameters, the highest values were observed in infusions prepared at 90 °C and from the daily Matcha.

<p class="p0">Serabi Solo is a traditional food made from rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, salt, water and other ingridients. Serabi is round, flat and porous. Coconut milk was used to develop serabi's taste making it sweet and savory. However, rancidity can decrease quality of serabi during shelf life. Mold growth also affects food safety of this perishable food. Serabi Solo is developing as gift that has longer shelf life beside flavor and appearance variations. Concrete solutions to inhibit rancidity were matcha green tea because of poliphenol as an antioxidant. Matcha green tea addition and pasteurization improved Serabi Solo quality and inhibited rancidity. Based on previous research, matcha green tea 1% made Serabi shelf life longer (24,66 hours). Other solution was coconut milk pretreatment. According to previous research, lemon juice pH 3 was used in coconut milk with hurdle technique made Serabi Solo has shelf life longer (32 hours). Therefore, this activity was to introduce matcha green tea 1% and lemon juice pH 3 to extend shelf of Serabi Solo in SME Linco's Solo.</p><p class="p0"><strong>Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak</strong>: Kue serabi solo merupakan salah satu makanan tradisional yang terbuat dari tepung beras dan santan. Kue ini bulat, pipih dan berpori-pori. Penambahan santan saat memasak serabi membuat serabi terasa manis dan gurih. Namun, santan dalam serabi selain memberikan rasa gurih juga mudah mengalami kerusakan selama penyimpanan. Munculnya aroma dan rasa tengik yang tidak disukai menyebabkan penurunan kualitas dan daya simpan kue serabi. Selain itu, pertumbuhan kapang juga menjadi masalah keamanan pangan pada serabi. Padahal sebagai produk oleh-oleh, serabi diharapkan memiliki umur simpan lebih panjang selain variasi rasa dan tampilan yang menarik dan kekinian. Solusi aplikatif untuk menghambat ketengikan pada kue serabi solo adalah penggunaan matcha green tea karena mengandung polifenol sebagai antioksidan. Penambahan matcha green tea dan perlakuan pasteurisasi pada santan dapat memperbaiki mutu dan mampu menghambat proses ketengikan sehingga dapat memperpanjang umur simpan kue serabi. Hasil dari penelitian sebelumnya, pada uji ketengikan menunjukkan bahwa kue serabi dengan penambahan matcha green tea konsentrasi 1% memiliki umur simpan selama 24,66 jam. Selain penambahan, matcha green tea, upaya memperpanjang umur simpan serabi yaitu dengan mendesain pretreatment santan. Penelitian sebelumnya menggunakan jenis jeruk dan konsentrasi pH asam sitrat yang paling disukai konsumen dan pengaruh serta lama daya simpan serabi dengan pretreatment santan menggunakan teknik hurdle. Serabi yang paling disukai adalah serabi dengan formula pretreatment santan menggunakan air jeruk lemon dengan pH 3 yang memiliki umur simpan 32 jam. Oleh karena itu, pada kegiatan PkM ini mengaplikasikan matcha green tea 1% dan sari jeruk lemon dengan pH 3 untuk meningkatkan umur simpan serabi terhadap variabel ketengikan di UKM Lincos Solo. </p><div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: 23px; top: 207.571px;"> </div>

Matcha Green Tea Powder contains a variety of active ingredients beneficial to health, such as tea catechins, lutein and vitamin K. It is also known that these ingredients confer benefits upon cognitive functions of elderly people. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the relationship between a daily supplementation of Matcha and the change in cognitive functions of community-dwelling elderly people. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled 12-week trial was performed. Sixty-one participants were recruited and randomly assigned to receive test drink containing 3 g powder from fresh Matcha or placebo powder per day. Changes in cognitive function were assessed utilizing a psychometric test battery. Daily food intake was assessed by a Brief-type Self-administered Diet History Questionnaire (BDHQ). In the gender-specific analysis, a significant cognitive enhancement was observed in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score in the active group of women. In dietary analysis, we found a significant inverse correlation between consumption of vitamin K in daily diet, excluding test drinks, and change in MoCA. The present study suggests that daily supplementation of Matcha Green Tea Powder has protective effects against cognitive decline in community-dwelling elderly women.

Introduction La plupart des matchs de la Ligue nationale de hockey (LNH) télédiffusés comportent des mises en échec violentes, des coups illégaux et des altercations. Nous avons émis l'hypothèse que les joueurs des ligues de hockey mineur imitaient de tels comportements et que le fait de ne pas regarder ces matchs se traduirait par une réduction du taux de blessures chez les joueurs de hockey plus jeunes. Méthodologie En utilisant un modèle quasi expérimental, nous avons comparé sept ans de matchs de la LNH télédiffusés (2002–2009) avec l'année du lock-out de la LNH (2004–2005). Nous avons utilisé les données du Système canadien hospitalier d'information et de recherche en prévention des traumatismes (SCHIRPT) pour caractériser les blessures et déterminer si elles étaient attribuables à un contact intentionnel ou à des actes illégaux, ce qui inclut les altercations. Résultats Nous n'avons observé aucune différence significative entre les proportions de blessures tous types confondus et celles liées à un contact intentionnel, un acte violent ou un acte illégal chez les joueurs de sexe masculin des ligues de hockey mineur entre l'année où les joueurs professionnels ont été en lock-out et les années précédentes et suivantes. Conclusion Nous concluons que le fait de ne pas voir de matchs télédiffusés de la LNH comportant des scènes violentes pourrait ne pas se traduire par une réduction des blessures, même si un effet possible pourrait avoir été masqué puisque nous avons observé une augmentation marquée, durant le lock-out, du nombre de spectateurs aux matchs des ligues mineures professionnelles où la violence est tout aussi présente.

Japanese matcha is a type of powdered green tea, grown in a traditional way. Shading of the plants during the growth period enhances the processes of synthesis and accumulation of biologically active compounds, including theanine, caffeine, chlorophyll and various types of catechins. Green tea contains four main catechins, i.e., (−)-epicatechin (EC), (−)-epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG), (−)-epigallocatechin (EGC) and (−)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), of which the latter is the most active and abundant and matcha is their best condensed source. Due to its unique chemical composition and prized flavour, which sets it apart from other tea beverages, it is considered the highest quality tea. Its health-promoting properties are attributed to the high content of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substances. Studies confirming the high antioxidant potential of tea beverages claim that it originates from the considerable content of catechins, a type of phenolic compound with beneficial effects on human health. Due to its potential for preventing many diseases and supporting cognitive function, regular consumption of matcha may have a positive effect on both physical and mental health. The aim of this review was to compile the health benefits of matcha tea. It is the first such review to be undertaken, and presents its main bioactive compounds in a systematic manner.

We examined the inhibitory effect of matcha green tea (Camellia sinensis) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg; the most abundant catechin in tea) on the vegetative growth and encystation of Acanthamoeba castellanii T4 genotype. The sulforhodamine B (SRB) stain-based colorimetric assay and hemocytometer counting were used to determine the reduction in A. castellanii trophozoite proliferation and encystation, in response to treatment with C. sinensis or EGCg. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) microscopy was used to analyze chemical changes in the trophozoites and cysts due to C. sinensis treatment. Hot brewed and cold brewed matcha inhibited the growth of trophozoites by >40% at a 100 % concentration. EGCg at concentrations of 50 to 500 µM significantly inhibited the trophozoite growth compared to control. Hot brewed matcha (100% concentration) also showed an 87% reduction in the rate of encystation compared to untreated control. Although 500 µM of EGCg increased the rate of encystation by 36.3%, 1000 µM reduced it by 27.7%. Both percentages were not significant compared to control. C. sinensis induced more cytotoxicity to Madin Darby canine kidney cells compared to EGCg. FTIR chemical fingerprinting analysis showed that treatment with brewed matcha significantly increased the levels of glycogen and carbohydrate in trophozoites and cysts.

Segmentation of diseased lungs in CT images is a nontrivial problem. As Active Appearance Model (AAM) has been applied effectively in this field, we propose a new approach for the construction of traditional AAM to segment the lung fields more accurately and efficiently: Matrixes based AAM (MatAAM). MatAAM is based on two-dimensional image matrixes rather one-dimensional vectors. Its appearance matrix does not need to be transformed into a vector prior to computing the appearance parameter. Instead, a covariance matrix is constructed directly using the normalized appearance matrixes and its eigenvectors are derived for the appearance parameter. The experiment results were compared to other landmark-based methods: Snake, Active Shape Model (ASM), AAM and several modified versions of them. For segmentation of lungs especially diseased lungs, MatAAM performed a superior result in both precision and efficiency.

Therefore, simulation of fluxes for heat, water, and gases from agricultural land is important for climate simulations. A land surface model (LSM) combined with a crop growth model (CGM), called an LSM-CGM combined model, is a useful tool for simulating these fluxes from agricultural land. Therefore, we developed a new LSM-CGM combined model for paddy rice fields, the MATCRO-Rice model. The main objective of this paper is to present the full description of MATCRO-Rice. The most important feature of MATCRO-Rice is that it can consistently simulate latent and sensible heat fluxes, net carbon uptake by crop, and crop yield by exchanging variables between the LSM and CGM. This feature enables us to apply the model to a wide range of integrated issues.

This study investigates the direct effect of components of celebrity endorsement (physical attractiveness, source creditability and celebrity brand matchup) on brand loyalty (attitudinal loyalty and behavioral loyalty). 220 general customers of branded products participated in the study. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to test hypotheses. Our result shows that physical attractiveness, source credibility expertise and celebrity brand match up has positive impact on developing attitude towards the brand. However, only physical attractiveness and celebrity brand matchup are associated with purchase intention. Practical and research implications of the findings are discussed and directions for future research are suggested.
