The thesis’s first part is reserved to comic books’ basement: at one side the image and its part of language production; to the other side, the text in its rapport to this image from which it belongs while it is complementary. The second part, following the material-image study, will focus on relationship (main and particular) entertained by those images, within sheet, that stake’s space. In order to a better understanding of the articulation (from setting to page setting), we will dissert about the ellipsis’s part of web elaborating. After, put down interval’s art basement, we will look, in a third part, at creation proceeding in order to evoke medium and techniques crossbreeding, and aesthetic and plastic interest in those interdisciplinary relationships in a global plan. In the end, the last part will treat of study of all the read act’s step, from first written trace to book, that desired object, crossing by techniques analysis of drawing and colours (without forget asking for their problematic). Because it is also primordial to put drawing and creation in its whole at the centre of works and comics book’s medium’s study

It is a question of our plastic practice, which integrates with the plant Art, on the status, function and creative process of the proto-material in contemporary works. This work analyses the capacity of waste, a fruit or vegetable peel to summon certain know-how, technical processes integrating into an artistic proto-language.This plant-creative principle paradoxically questions the notion of creative conservation from ordinary and ephemeral materials. These devices for preserving plant fragments create an olfactory, tactile and visual space that pays homage to the precarious nature. The mobility of a spatial-temporal utopian space is based on the fragmentation of integuments which form the basis of architectural structures nourished by a twofold thought: Western and Far Eastern. My works question the ecological ethic of a Western context of overconsumption by the fragility of vanity fragments
Hautcoeur, Julien.

Enunciation, as an activity of speech, allows to analyze in a significant way the activity of a subject. This is also the case of the work based on subjectivist semiotics. The enunciation as tension between material and idea results of the characteristics both artistic and technical of photography. Our analysis of Barbara Kruger’s photographic discourse shows how at a strategic level, this artist invites us in the enunciation game by means of the combination of picture and text. It seems clear that the systematic study of the image helps us to understand in an effective way the genesis of the meaning through the position of the subject and its intersubjective correlations, and contributes to the profound understanding of the meaning of the images. The study on photographic enunciation through a theoretical approach and the analysis of the photographic works reveals the characteristics of the photography medium
Zorzal, Bruno. "Esthétique de l'exploitation photographique de photos déjà existantes." Thesis, Paris 8, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016PA080105/document.
In a time when artists claim the totality of objects composing reality as a material source for art, we find it necessary to reflect on the uses of and creative appropriations specific to photographic images. In moving thusly from a general framework to a specific one, we intend to introduce a reflection centered on the use of pre-existing photos in artistic practices that themselves are directed towards the creation of a photographic oeuvre. However, and given the problematics associated with creating from an already-created object, in this case a photo, what is in it of a photographic form that as a subjective expression keeps a link of dependence with the necessity of existence that is precondition of a technical image? What happens when an image of an image enters the world in this context? In this sense, when doing photography becomes redoing from a pre-existing photograph, do we approach photos, photographic processes and procedures in art and finally photographic oeuvres, or even photography and art itself in the same manner? The questions that are developed in this specific context, in response to artworks and with the aid of theories and notions, permit us to identify elements towards an aesthetics of the photographic use of pre-existing photos, and expose us to political, legal, ethical, and other aspects of these actions, placing photos at the center of processes and procedures in photography
Laks, Déborah. "Le dérisoire, un ordre nouveau : l'utilisation de matériaux de récupération par les nouveaux réalistes." Paris, Institut d'études politiques, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013IEPP0025.
This doctoral thesis addresses the scope of the use of found objects and garbage by the Nouveaux Réalistes in the 1960s. Still viewed as garbage, the used materials open the artworks to polysemy. The historic, pratical, economic and social meanings of each trite objects used by the nouveaux réalistes are easily perceived by the spectator. The cultural, social and mnemonic status of garbage turns it into a complex sign. While offering a new place to the analyze of used materials, this thesis intends to develop a view of the nouveaux réalistes’ practice founded on the valorization of garbage and its specificities as an artistic material. This idea opens more global research paths: the nouveaux réalistes’ example shows that salvaging opens the artwork to a new element, which is the actual meaning of the used materials. They are far from raw materials awaiting their final definition by the artist; on the contrary, they are already marked by their way through society. This thesis shows the specificity of a salvaging practice and builds the tools that will allow them to be more precisely interpreted. In a paradoxal move that goes from the dump to the picture rail, the nouveaux réalistes reveal a part of our contemporary society that has been always forgotten, and perhaps repressed. The obvious links that have been made between their work and the Mai 68 contest against consumer society are here re-read in the light of the particular status of their materials, and through broader historic perspectives that reveal their roots in the baudelairian approach of margin as well as the World War Two’s impact on their use of ruin and derisory
Layeb, Mohamed Salah. "Matériaux locaux et innovation dans les métiers d'art-isanat en Tunisie." Thesis, Paris 1, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018PA01H317.
The present thesis, relating to local materials and innovation in the craft trades of “art-isanat”in Tunisia, aims, initially, at studying the definitional ambiguities related to craft trades with all their variations in the Tunisian socio-economic and cultural context. These trades will becompared with those of France, Tunisia's partner country, to draw points of similarities and differences to highlight the main drivers of expansion. In a second stage, our research isaimed at drawing up an assessment of the knowledge of local materials distributed byTunisian regions. Artisanal pottery/ceramics and jewellery were the two major niches of ourset of studies. Local clays and pigments from Tunisia used or not by craftsmen in tradesrelated to artisanal pottery have been scientific characterization (mineralogical, chemical and geotechnical), carried out in specialized laboratories. This has allowed us to improve the composition of the clay pastes and discover authentic natural colors that could be a vector ofinnovation. Other local materials, such as bi-pyramid smoked quartz for jewelers, can constitute a valid and important niche for the promotion of crafts in Tunisia. This research isessentially based on scientific analyses and epistemological reflections and is mainly part of the design research
